The next morning after breakfast Princess was dressed for school while Sarah stayed back.
“so mom does that mean Sarah won’t be able to attend school again? Princess asked.
“of course not, once she’s fine, she will resume back to school, i guess your dad have reported to the school authority about her health issue,” Mabel explain while Princess nodded. Mabel walk her to their car outside.
“please Seth, make sure you drive her safely,” she said to the driver.
“i will ma’am,” he replied while she nodded.
“see you later mom,” Princess said with a smile while Mabel smile back, then went back in, she meet Edward at the sitting room.
“where’s Princess? he asked.
“she just left for school,” Mabel said then turn to leave.
“Mabel we need to talk,” Edward said while she turn to face him.
“okay, let talk, but if it’s about Princess and about what you said yesterday i think it will not gonna work out because i have made up my mind,” Mabel said sternly.
“you’ve made up your mind to watch Sarah die?
“she’s not gonna die Edward, i just don’t want to get Princess involved in this. Let me ask you if this was the other way round will that ingrate and Wicked Erica ever allow Sarah to denote any kidney for Princess? Erica would rather watch to see Princess die than help us out. Edward am not just ready for any heart break again,” Mabel said while Erica walked up to them with Sarah beside her.
“good morning dad,” Sarah greeted.
“how are you Sarah? how are you feeling now? Edward asked while Sarah looked at him in tears.
“mom explain to me everything, Princess is the only key to help me out, please mommy Mabel you need to help us out, mom said am gonna die if Princess didn’t help me as soon as possible, please i need your help,” Sarah wept bitterly holding Mabel’s hand.
“you’ll not gonna die. Sarah stop crying, your life is at risk in this and i don’t want to involve your sister,” Mabel said.
“am sorry Mabel, we need your permission to do it, i know you’re still angry with me, with everything i did by trying to destroy your marriage, i admit am the bad guy here i never knew life will turn out this way, i never knew i will one day beg for something from you, karma has eventually catch up with me…,” Erica said in a cracking voice.
“karma is yet to catch up with you and by the time it does am sure you won’t be alive,” Mabel yelled at her then walked out.
“Edward, i know you love Mabel and she loves you too just plead with her, i know she might hear you,” Erica said crying so bitterly.
“Sarah, can you please excuse me and your mom, i need to tell her something,” Edward said while Sarah wipe her tears and walked away.
“how could you Erica, why were you scaring the girl, why did you tell her she’s gonna die? Edward scolded Erica.
“that’s the only thing i told her at that time, so she can plead with Mabel. Edward just beg your wife for us, i promise you once Sarah is fine i will leave and never return back here, i guess it much better to be a single mother than being in a place where no one loves you,” Erica said sadly.
“just becareful with what you tell Sarah, she just a kid you don’t have to confuse her with your lies, be matured for once Erica, you should give her hope and tell her everything will gonna be fine…
“enough Edward, stop saying that, like you’ve ever care about her, i know you’re only doing this because you don’t want her death or to suffer but de-eper down you Love Princess more than her, you’re such a horrible father and believe me Edward when Sarah grow up enough to be wise she’ll hate you for this,” Erica ranted angrily then walked out on him.
▪▪▪Edward seems so frustrated about the whole issue, he went to their bedroom to talk to Mabel about the issue again.
“love,” Edward called in a more romantic tone then sat down next to her, as he wrapped his hands around her shoulders.
“i love you so much and i also love Princess so much, so very much. The reason why am doing this is because i love Sarah even thou she’s from Erica, i guess you were right when you say their’s no point in me hating her because she’s innocent. I guess Princess have to go for the test tomorrow so we could be sure she has the same kidney match with Sarah,” Edward said while Mabel keep starring at nothing in particular without saying anything.
“please Mabel, let Princess go for the tests first, so we could even know our stand,” Edward said softly, squeezing her hand softly.
“it okay Edward, but i will still think about it. I mean every mother in my shoe will do the same thing… i have…”
Edward quickly shut her up with a kis-s.
“i promise you this Mabel nothing will happen to either Princess or Sarah,” he whisper then continues with the kis-s.
✨ The next day, Princess was taken to the hospital for the tests, Edward hope Princess result will turn out positive and luckily for them a few days later when the result is out, it turn out positive because Princess blood and tissue type are compatible.
“so doctor what did you mean? Mabel asked Jones while Edward and Erica were all their with her.
“kidney donors must have compatible blood type with the recipient and donors with blood type O can denote to recipient with blood types A, B, AB and O because O is a universal donor, so donor with O blood are compatible with any other blood type, it a good thing princess’s blood type match hers,” Jones said while Erica heaved a sighed of relief.
“so doctor, what next will happen once my daughter denote this kidney to Sarah? Mabel said feeling so curious.
“no need to worry Mabel, people who denote a kidney can live a healthy lives with one healthy kidney. Well i guess you’ll also want to know how long does a kidney transplant take?, well it often take 3 hours but it can sometimes last as long as 5 hour. They’ll be given anesthesia so they stay asleep the whole time and the surgeon will make an opening in their abdomen, just above their groin,” Jones keep explaining more things to Mabel about the transplant to ease her fears.
“so does that mean you’ll allow Princess to denote the kidney to my daughter? Erica asked while Mabel nodded. Erica hug-ged Mabel surprising everyone.
“thank you so much Mabel, i know you have a good heart and you won’t allow my daughter to suffer,” Erica said, her eyes were getting teary.
“am only doing this because of Sarah and not because of you Erica, let me warn you, if anything bad should happen to my daughter during this process, i don’t care if its the surgeon fault, i will all blame it on you because i don’t trust you,” Mabel scoffed then quickly walked out but Edward quickly ran to catch up with her outside.
“Mabel,” he said softly then hug-ged her from behind.
“i can’t believe am doing this, am so scared Edward, what if something…
“think about the possible not impossible, think positive Mabel,” Edward whisper in her ear while she turn to face him.
“we are in this together, nothing will happen to Princess i a-ssure you this,” Edward said while Mabel hug-ged him.
▪Later in the evening Mabel sat down next to Princess in her room, she looked so worried as she keep staring at her.
“where’s dad mom? Princess asked bringing her out of her thoughts.
“oh! he’s downstairs with Sarah. Princess are you sure you’re ready for this? to help your sister? Mabel asked.
“sure mom, am positive about that. Dad told me yesterday that you were just scared. Mom, i just want to help Sarah if i can, she’s the only silbling i have and i want to be her best friend i don’t care if her mother likes me or not,”
Princess said while Mabel smiled.
“the only reason why i allow this is because of Sarah, she’s innocent and she don’t deserve to suffer like that, i sometimes wonder why she have to be the one to suffer for her mother’s mistake. Erica should be the one suffering like this and not the little girl,” Mabel said sadly.
“what mistakes mother? and why Sarah’s mother? Princess asked while Mabel held her shoulder.
“don’t mind me i guess am being so paranoid,” Mabel said.
“don’t worry mother, i want to be a life saver, i want to save my sister and both of us will be fine after the surgery, we just need your prayers,” Princess said with a smile while Mabel hug-ged her.

Edward has already talked to his parents about the situation at hand and in few days time the surgery will be done. Mabel wasn’t at rest with all this, she hope and pray both Princess and Sarah will be fine after the surgery while Erica was happy because Mabel has approve of the surgrey, all she wanted was her daughter Sarah to be hale and hearty again and after that she’ll push throu-ghwith her dirty plans.
A week Later..✨
Princess and Sarah were already at the hospital for the surgery, Edward, Mabel, Erica and their grandparents were their, the whole family was complete and even Sally and Greg came along.
“Sarah my dear, don’t worry everything will be fine,” Amelia said as she patted her back.
“i hope so grandma, i will miss you so much,” Sarah said trying to hold back her tears.
“just stay strong Princess, everyone you see here is waiting for you,” Mr. Patrick said while Princess smile.
“don’t worry grandpa, i believe this will work out for everyone good,” she said while he hug her.
“i love you my grand-daughter,” he said with a smile.
“and am so proud of you,” he said again then turn to Sarah.
“Sarah dear, i always include you in my prayers,” he said.
“thank you grandpa, am just so scared,” she said bluntly.
“we are in this together Sarah, no need to be scared…okay! Princess said while Sarah nodded, her eyes meet with Greg who just came in with his mother.
“Princess… i just hope you survive after this,” Amelia said to her with a straight face.
“Greg.. i miss you,” Sarah said with a smiled.
“i guess i miss you more, my mom told me what’s going on, Princess is such a kind sister or perhaps the best sister someone could ever have,” Greg said while Sarah smiled.
“sure and that’s the reason i love her, am just so lucky to have a sister like her,”
“don’t worry Sarah, once you’re down with this surgery i believe everything will be back to normal,” he said then held her hand.
“dad always say think positive, so you should atleast smile and know that am waiting for you after the surgery,” Greg said while Sarah hug-ged him.
“you just lit up my mood Greg, you have your own ways to make me feel better, thank you,” Sarah whisper trying to hold back her tears.
“Greg,” Princess called as she waklked up to them and they disengaged from the hug.
“Princess,” Greg said almost in a whisper.
“thank you,” he said.
“thank you? for what? Princess asked confused.
“for helping Sarah, for helping your sister, you’re a life saver and the best sister,” Greg said with a smile.
“thank you,” Princess said with a smile.
“i love you Princess, thank you, thank you so much. I will forever remember and respect you for this,” Sarah hug-ged Princess while Greg smile seeing them together.
Princess, Sarah… it time already,” Edward said as he walked up to them.
” Sarah, Princess everything will be fine,” Mabel said to them.
“i just want you two to know i love you. Just remember we are waiting for you, so stay strong for your family,” Edward said while the two girls hug-ged him.
“take care Sarah,” Greg said while the two girls were taken to the theatre room.
“just stay strong for them,” Edward whisper to Mabel as he held her hand.
▪▪▪The surgery took about 4 hours and they whole family were at the waiting area praying for the two kids, for God to spare both of them.
A day Later…✨
Mabel was already at the hospital with Edward, as usual to check on the two kids since they are not yet awake.
“but Jones how long does it take for a kidney to wake up after transplant? Edward asked.
“the surgery was a success, no need to worry because your kids will be in intensive care and will be here in the hospital for a week or two because a new kidney may take time to wake up and work, and if the kidney works, they don’t need dialysis,” Jones explained while Mabel looked at him worried.
?Erica was already dressed up to go to the hospital and visit her daughter when a call came in to her phone.
“don’t worry Max,” she said into the phone.
“i have a job for you, because once Sarah and Princess are awake i want you to get rid of Princess for real,” she said with a sm-irk…
