“but doctor, i don’t un-derstand, how is it possible? Edward stuttered.
“well i guess once doctor Jones is here, he’ll be in the right position to tell you that,” he said.
“but how is Sarah, how is she doing? Erica asked.
“she’s out of danger for now and might wake up anytime from now,” he said.
“i need to see her,” Erica said then stood up while Edward followed her to Sarah’s ward, she was already awake and Erica felt so relief seeing her awake.
“baby,” Erica said slowly then hug her ti-ghtly.
“how are you feeling now? she asked.
“am fine mom, you’re back already, i just want to go home with you guys,” Sarah said.
“sure but not yet,” Erica said then look at Edward who was speechless.
“Sarah… get well soon, just know that i love you okay..! he said while Sarah looked at him then smile lightly.
“i love you too daddy,” Sarah smiled then hug-ged him, she felt so happy hearing that from her father after a very long time, perhaps this the day she have been waiting for.
“get some rest,” he said then disengaged from the hug.
“Sarah,” Princess called softly as she walked in with Greg behind her and Mabel.
“thank goodness she’s awake,” Mabel said with a sigh of relief.
“so do you expect her to die? Erica asked rudely.
“Erica, this not time for all this okay,” Edward said while Greg rushed to Sarah and held her hand.
“are you okay now.. it all my fault i shouldn’t have stress you that much Sarah am really sorry,” Greg said rushing his words while Sarah smile.
“i guess it was my fault for chasing you around, am fine now,” she replied then turn to Princess who was standing beside her.
“am glad you’re fine now,” Princess said with a smile while Sarah smile.
“thank you, i appreciates,” Sarah said with a smile.
✨ …The next day Sarah was discharged from the hospital. Doc Jones was also back from his trip and he discuss about Sarah issue with Edward.
They were at the sitting room discussing when Sarah came in and stop to hear what they were saying, because she heard her name mention.
“Jones am so worried, i mean am willing to denote my kidney to her,” Edward said almost in a whisper.
“what! I don’t think that will work, anyway you have to go series of tests for you to be able to qualify for that,” Jones said.
“have you notice Sarah experiencing poor appetite, headache, bone pain, vomiting and …
“well maybe…. am sorry i was just so busy to notice any of this, maybe Erica might have notice it,” Edward replied sadly.
“but doctor am not comfortable with this transplant, i mean she’s just too young to pa-ss throu-ghthis, don’t you think dialysis is preferable? Edward asked so worried.
“a kidney transplant is preferable to dialysis. Dialysis can achieve to 20 percent of the renal function. After a transplant the renal functions is oftern 50 percent. Edward i guess Kidney transplant is much better in this her condition, the transplant also provides a better quality of life than dialysis,” Jones explain further while Edward sighed. Sarah heard their conversation and quickly return back to her room.

“Doc Jones, you here already,” Erica said as she walked in then joined them.
“i have come to conclusion, am gonna denote my kidney to her,” Erica said looking at Edward.
“no Erica, i will do that,” Edward said.
“well, it a good thing both parent will volunteer to do that, we just have to carry out some tests on you two,” Jones said.
“anything for Sarah, i hope she’s safe from this disease,” Erica said.
“of couse she will, i won’t allow anything bad to happen to her,” Edward a-ssured her.

✨▪▪▪▪Later during dinner, Sarah refuse to eat and Erica persuade her too but she refuse.
“mom what does it means by kidney transplant, what’s happening to me, am i going to die? Sarah asked already in tears.
“of course not, and where did you hear that? Erica asked.
“am sorry i eavesdropped on dad and doctor Jones conversation.
“mom am sick,” Sarah cried while Erica hug-ged her.
“no baby.. you’re not. It just a minor thing your dad and i are working on it, you’ll soon be fine,” Erica said in tears, seeing Sarah in tears makes her so sad.

Erica make sure Sarah was already at sleep, she was so troubled. She quickly picked up her phone then call Sally.
“Erica, how is Sarah? she asked
“she’s already asleep, she knew about everything and she was saying she might die with the disease. Sally i have never been so worried like this in my enitre life, what if i lose Sarah then i will be the loser here. You know Sarah is the only one keeping me in this marriage, Edward will use that opportunity to chase me out and am not in for any disgrace,” Erica said sadly.
“am so sorry about that, am sure my husband will help you out, you just need a donor, someone who’s kidney will match,” Sally said.
“sure, i and Edward are going for some tests tomorrow, we are both ready to safe Sarah,”
“too bad the little girl have to go throu-ghthis,” Sally said.
“Princess should be the one sufffering this, i mean my own daughter doesn’t deserve all this. Princess should be the one in her condition, anyway i have my own plans am coming over to your place tomorrow,” Erica said.
“no, i guess it will better if we just meet up, i will text you the address,” Sally said while Erica smiled then hanged up.

▪▪Edward told his parents about Sarah condition and they were so worried about her.
Edward and Erica were already at the Bernados hospital which belong to Mr. Jones. Series of tests were carried out on them to make sure they are both fit to donor their kidney.
“so nurse is this the only test that will be carried out? Edward asked.
“sure, that’s the blood and tissue type test, kidney and liver test, prostate exam for men and mammogram and pap smear for women well lots of tests will be carried out to make sure you both are fit for that,” the nurse replied while Edward nodded.
“i hope this works out for good,” Erica said looking so worried.

Late in the evening, Sally arrived back home, she was just coming from Erica’s place. She went to Greg room but he wasn’t their so she decide to check him at his playing room, she was glad to see him and his father.
“so dad you think Sarah will gonna be fine? Greg asked looking so worried.
“am sure of that, she just need a donor,” Jones said.
“well then i can denote my own kidney for her, isn’t that what friends do for each other? Greg asked while Sally burst out laughing.
“my son is so sweet, well Sarah will be fine soon but i won’t allow you do that, don’t even say that again,” Sally said then walked in fully.
“you’re back,” Jones said with a smile when he saw her.
“but mom Sarah is my friend,” Greg said.
“well then, your father is the doctor here, allow him to lecture you on how things like this are being done, anyway am tired i need some rest, goodnight,” she said with a smile then left.
“whatever dad, i just hope things work out well, anyway i trust you,” Greg said with a smile.

A day later..?
Jones showed and explain to the them the outcome of the result, well is was quiet good but they’re not kidney match to Sarah.
“but Jones, we are her parents why can’t we help her,” Edward said so frustrated.
“well the fact you’re not kidney match to hers doesn’t mean you’re not her parents, well they are three main test that will determine if a patient and a potential donor are kidney match, that’s the blood typing, tissue typing and also the cross- matching and you should also know it very ha-rd to match pairs have a pair match power from 31-125 and O blood type patient with a non O blood type donor..
“okay.. but what the easiet match for a kidney transplant? Erica asked.
“well the AB blood type is the easiest because that individual accpepts other blood types, blood type O is hadest to match, although people with the same blood type O can denote to all types, they can only recieve Kidney from blood type O donors,” Jones explained.
“so what are we gonna do now? Edward asked.
“well their’s still one more hope left and that Princess,” Jones said while Edward eyes widen, Erica was also surprise to hear that.
“let just test Princess, her kidney might be the match, and afterall she’s almost same age with Sarah, let just give it a try,” Jones said.
“this getting more complicated than i thought,” Edward sighed.
“well you can think about it first, it just a suggestion after all,” Jones said while Erica looked at Edward.

✨”wipe your tears Sarah, crying won’t help out after all dad and your mom are doing everything they can to help you out and am also here, am willing to help out in anywhere,” Princess said while Sarah collect the handkerchief from her.
“thank you Princess, you always have a way of making me feel better, i don’t want to die,” Sarah said.
“die! no one is gonna die,” Erica said as she walked in with Edward.
“are you trying to tell my daughter she’s gonna die with the disease? Erica asked Princess angrily.
“of course not mom, she was trying to make me feel better,” Sarah explain whiile Edward went towards Sarah.
“everything will be fine Sarah, stop crying and try to atleast eat so you can be healthy and be ready for any surgery.. okay,” Edward said while Sarah nodded.
“thanks dad,” she replid with a smile.
“how are you Princess and where’s your mom? Edward said while Princess hug-ged him.
“am fine dad, i guess mom is in her room upstairs,” Princess smiled.
“Edward, we have to take Princess for the tests tomorrow and explain things to her, their no room for mistakes or delay we have to get done with this once and for all Princess will gonna be the donor if her kidney match with Sarah,” Erica said while Princess look surprise.
“what.. what did you mean? Princess asked.
“yes my little Princess, you might be the key to help your sister, we badly need your help,” Erica said more nicely while Edward was surprise to hear her talk to Princess that nice.
“Erica, that’s not how to exlains this, they are kids and we need to take this slow, i don’t want Princess to get involved but … i don’t know it just complicated,” Edward said sadly.
“Princess are you willing to help me? Sarah asked in a teary voice while Princess seems speechless.
“say something Princess, will you help me out or just watch your only sister die? Sarah asked in tears.
“of course not… i will help you Sarah,” Princess said. Mabel was watching all that was happening from upstairs, she was so angry and quickly get down to them.
“no Erica, i won’t allow Princess to do that.. i won’t allow her get involved and that’s final, i have nothing to discuss with anyone,” Mabel said as she dragged princess with her back to their room, Edward quickly rush to them.
“Mabel am sorry but we are talking about Sarah’s life here,” Edward said while Mabel scoffed.
“am also concern about my only daughter, my only child, Edward let me remind you how we had her, i guess you’ve forgotten how we have her, it took us good five years to have Princess, five years of shame, insult and mockery i have receive. What if something bad happen to Princess in the process. Am sorry Edward but my daughter can’t save your daughter,”Mabel said trying to hold back her tears, she turn to leave Edward held her back.
“am not forcing Princess to denote the kidney after all she have to un-dergo series of tests so we can be sure she have same kidney match with Sarah, i just want you t un-derstand the situation we are into,” Edward said.
“no Edward.. I’ve lose my parents, my second baby, i have no one left except you and Princess if i lose Princess now i might die, am so scared Edward, i won’t allow Princess to get involved in any of this, you guys should just go and keep looking for a donor and not my Princess, that final i won’t talk about this with anyone again,” Mabel said with finality she walked out on him. Princess was already in tears, she stood by the door and watch her parents arguing over her..??
