Sarah walked to her room and was surprise to see her mother.
“mom?
“am here for you Sarah, am less busy today and i have been waiting for you herer,” Erica said while Sarah rush and hug-ged her.
“i love you mommy, i miss you so much. I was hoping we could hang out together,” Sarah said.
“huh? but to where?
“anywhere mother, just a quiet and beautiful place but can Princess go with us? Sarah asked.
“i don’t think so. Sarah i have warn you several times to stay away from that girl, she’s not a good girl,” Erica scolded.
“but she defended me today at school, she stood up for me when i couldn’t do anything,” Sarah said while Erica was surprise to hear that.
“what happen, who try to hurt you? Erica asked angrily.
“it a long story mother, my head was aching so badly today in cla-ss and i have to sleep,” Sarah said sadly.
“then.. what happen? Erica asked while Sarah narrated to her what happen.
“they did that to you.. oh goodness! am gonna make sure that little brat rot in jail,” Erica said angrily.
“mom, please don’t come to our school so you won’t create a scene, am fine and next time they try to insult or laugh at me i will handle them myself,” Sarah said while Erica hug-ged her.
“no one have the right to bully or talk back to you, when such thing happen just inform me immediately i will make sure those kids regret hurting you,” Erica said while Sarah nodded.
“now, go take your bath, your meal is ready,”
Mabel stuck Princess in the bed later in the evening and was about leaving.
“mom, what about dad?
“he’s just busy downstairs,” Mabel replied.
“but mom, i guess is time for bedtime stories, you know how much i love princesses stories,” Princess said with a smile.
“like the sleeping princess, princess and the dragon and.., Princess kept blabbing while Mabel smiled.
“maybe let me just say the story about the ordinary Princess,” she said while Princess looked at her.
“what did you mean mother?
“well my dear, being a princess simply means getting whatever you want and of course it include your prince charming. It every mother’s dream for her to see her little baby grow up and choosing the right way, i know you might not un-derstand this now but i want you to know true love can’t be for-ced, it should be natural and genuine,” Mabel said caressing her hair.
“don’t worry mother, you’re my angel and am certain you will guide me till the end of time,” Princess replied with a smile.
“but life itself is unpredictable. Princess their are sometimes in life when you’ll feel so weak, lost and lonely, i might also not be there for you but no matter what you have to follow your heart and choose the right path to follow. Just like my story, i thought my parents will forever be with me not until when they all died in a ghastly car accident, that was the sadest moment of my life but then i didn’t let their departure change me nor my kindness towards others, instead i stick to all they once tought me, that made me who i am today,”
“you mean my grandparents were death too? Princess asked sadly.
“yes Princess but atleast you also have two set of grandparents from your father’s side,” Mabel said with a smile trying to hide her tears, she glance at the wall clock then stood up to leave.
“it getting late already, you have to sleep, good night Princess,” Mabel said then peck her before leaving.
Mabel walked in to Edward study room and meet him busy with some papers works.
“still at work.. i thought once you’re home you’ll leave work aside,” Mabel said then sat down next to him.
“am also done, well am travelling tomorrow for a meeting, it just gonna takes two days and sadly Erica is also coming with me we have a presentation to make their,” He said while Mabel nodded.
“she’s your wife after all,”
“saying thats makes me angry, it always irritates me when anyone says Erica is my wife i don’t like it,” He said while Mabel sighed then looked at him.
“i wonder how life will be like if Erica wasn’t in our lives and if that my second pregnancy was able to stayed, it would have been Princess and her baby brother or a sister again,” Mabel said sadly.
“i feel so sad about that and i was suspicous about Erica at that time… i still have a feeling she has something to do with that,” Edward said.
“no one can tell actually, remember what the doctors said that is due to stress, well i kinda doubt that but i still don’t want to believe Erica did that on purpose just to hurt me, you also terminate my baby,”
“it okay Mabel. Princess is all we’ve got now, and i love her so much. We should he thankful to God for having Princess,” he said while Mabel nodded.
“thank you Edward, thank you for sticking to your words, i pray all these will end someday,” Mabel said then hug-ged him.

The next day..✨
Edward was ready to leave with Erica for the business meeting while Erica suggest she take Sarah to Greg’s place.
“look Erica, Mabel can take care of Sarah…
“no…” Erica quickly cut in. “i won’t allow your wife to kill my daughter before i come,” she yelled.
“but she has Princess to play with, Erica i don’t know when you’ll stop having a negative impression about me,” Mabel said while Erica glare at her.
“Sarah, am taking you to Doc. Jones mansion to stay for two days, Sally is also my good friend and Greg is your friend too, i will take you their myself and make sure you are safe from stupid mother and daughter,” Erica said to Sarah.
“are you leaving Sarah? Princess asked.
“that what my mother want, you can visit me there at Greg place and beside mom will be back after two days, then i will come back home to you,” Sarah said while Erica dragged her into the car with her.
“Erica is just so unbelievable, she’s the horrible one and yet she pretend like she’s a saint who can’t even hurt a fly. Mabel no need to worry about this, she can do whatever she want to do with Sarah as far as Sarah is not hurt,” Edward said.
“i will miss you dad,” Princess said teary then hug-ged him.
“i will be back once everything is done, no need to cry my dear,” Edward said patting her back.
“Mabel please take care and stay safe for me..okay..
“sure,” Mabel said with a smile then hug-ged him.
Mabel and Princess stood there and watch until Edward’s car was out of sight.
“why will Sarah has to leave, am sure you can take care of both of us,” Princess said sadly.
“sure, her mother doesn’t want that,” Mabel said sadly.
▪▪Sarah smile when they arrive at the Bernados Mansion, she stare in awe.
“Erica,” Sally smiled as she walked up to them and Sarah quickly ran towards Greg.
“am leaving today and i can’t afford to keep Sarah with that Mabel,” she said.
“Well its a good idea, Greg will be please to have her around,” Sally said with a smile.
“thank you Sally, what about your husband? she asked.
“not yet back from spain,” she replied.
“well Erica, you’re always welcome here okay,”
“thanks i have to go now,” Erica said then hurriedly left without even checking out for Sarah.
“wow, you’ll be staying here with us? Greg asked surprise.
“yeah, for just two days,” Sarah replied.
“what about Princess? he asked.
“she’s with her mom,”
The next day in the eveningɉϬ
Edward was done talking to Mabel on phone, his day was hectic and he was resting by the pool at the hotel they were lodging, it was him, Erica and of course four other staff from the company that went.
” Edward.. well it a good thing i found you here,” Erica said with a smile then sat down next to him, she was wearing a short transparent gown, it obvious she want to se-duce him.
“we are here for work and nothing else,” he said while Erica smile seductively placing her hand on his lap-s.
“am your wife Edward and atleast we are far away from home, maybe you’re just shy to make love to me all these years because of Mabel but she’s longer here,” Erica said while Edward quickly remove his hand from hers.
“i guess you need some time alone Erica, i just want you to know i will never love you,” he said then stood up.
“but Edward i love you.. after all these years i still didn’t leave because i love you,
remember how we use to be close, how you once loved me but evrything change when Mabel came into the picture, you don’t even treat me like a woman, is it a crime to love you,” Erica asked, weeping so bitterly. Edward was quiet as he looked at her, she look so sad indeed, he moved closer to her then hug-ged her, Erica seems surprise but she felt so happy, maybe her plan is gonna work out this time around”, she thought.
“you don’t deserves my love. Erica am certain we are not meant for each other, you also deserves to be love, why not give your heart a chance and marry someone else who love you because to me you never existed. Am sorry for hurting you but the more you keep frocing yourself on me the more i will hate you,” Edward said calmly then left, leaving Erica to cried out her eyes.
“i love you Edward,” she yelled, as she kept crying.
▪▪▪Sarah keep smiling as she play hide and seek with Greg and also his puppy dog.
“what’s his name again? Sarah asked Greg, referring to his puppy.
“it Sarah,” Greg said teasingly.
“you must be crazy Greg, how can you name your dog same name as mine,” Sarah said as she chase Greg round the house. It was so much fun to them.
‘hey Sarah i was only kidding,” Greg said trying to hide his laughter.
“i got you now,” Sarah pouted holding Geg’s hand ti-ght.
“what did you say again? she asked.
“i was just kidding Sarah, the name of my puppy dog is Rose, because she’s a female,” he said while Sarah smiled.
“now you’re talking, am really tired,” Sarah said as she sat down on the veranda pa-nting already.
“sorry about that, i will just tell my nanny to get you a bottle of water,” Greg suggested as he stood up. He went in to call his nanny but before they arrive, the found Sarah lying unconscious there.
“are you sleeping already,” Greg teased as he playfully pinch her cheeks but she wasn’t moving.
“Sarah,” Greg Nanny’s called out, she tap her but notice the little girl wasn’t moving, she quickly called Sally and Sarah was rushed to the hospital immediately.
▪▪The next day at the hospital.. Greg was at the waiting area with his nanny.
“what might happen to Sarah Nanny, we were just playing happily what could have happen,” Greg asked in tears while his nanny console him.
“she’ll be fine, your mom just informed her mom and dad and of course her step mother,” she said while Greg nodded in tears.
Few minutes later… Mabel walked in with Princess, they both look worried.
“Princess,” Greg called when he saw her.
“what happen to my sister, i heard mom talking on phone with someone, where’s Sarah? i thought she’ll be safe with you? Princess asked already in tears.
“sure.. i also don’t know what happen,” Greg said sadly then held her hands.
“don’t worry Princess i hope Sarah will be okay before the end of today, Greg said while Princess hug-ged him tears.
“i hope so too,” she replied.
“don’t worry Mabel, we are still waiting for the doctor to say something,” Sally explain things to Mabel, who seems so worried.
…The doctor was out and the first thing he ask was Sarah parents.
“i guess they’re on their way here,” Sally said.
“well i guess we have to wait for them, i seriously need to talk to them,” the doctor said,.
“is it something serious? how is Sarah now? is she awake? Mabel asked so worried.
“she’s still resting, and she’ll be fine, i have to be in my office, once her parents are here just inform me,” the doctor left while Princess walked up to her mother.
“is Sarah going to be okay.. can we see her now? Princess asked.
“i don’t think so,” Mabel replied sadly. Suddenly Erica and Edward walked in, they were both looking so worried.
“the doctor need you in his office? Sally said.
“what! where’s my daughter? Erica asked already in tears.
“just go and hear what the doctor have to say first,” Sally said while Erica quickly followed Edward to the doctor’s ofice.
“doc,” Edward said as he sat down while Erica sat down next to him.
“how is Sarah? how is my daughter doing? Erica asked.
“she’s suffering from a serious disease and non of you notice that? the doctor asked while Erica gasped, more tears crawling down to her cheeks.
“just be straight forward doc, what’s wrong with Sarah? Edward asked.
“she’s suffering from a kidney disease and need a transplant with immediate effect,” the doc stated…😲
