After Amelia was done saying all those hurtful words to Edward, she drag Erica and storm out of the room.
“you’re back,” Mabel said slowly as she walked up to him with a sad face.
“mom and Erica just left,” he said looking so worried while Mabel nodded.
“i heard everything they said. You’ll gonna be a father of two kids now. Edward their’s no point in rejecting the baby if what they say is true,” Mabel said trying to hold back her tears.
“but i don’t want to, i hate Erica and even the goddamn baby! Erica is a just bitc-h who want
to snatch our happiness,” he said sadly.
“this is it Edward, i sometimes feel like we aren’t meant for each other, i don’t know why circu-mstance and people want to seperate us. Edward i sometimes feel you’re not the right one for me due to the whole situation, it as if i got married to the wrong person,” Mabel yelled in tears.
“Mabel.. don’t ever say that again.. am the right one for you.. i love you so much and you’re also the right woman for me,” Edward said as he move closer to Mabel but moved back, wiping away her tears.
“it almost six years after our marriage, why can’t Erica and your mother leave us alone. Edward it six years and we are blessed with a child already why can’t they see it and leave us in peace. Your mom never loved me and am sure she’ll do everything in her power just to throw me out of this house,” Mabel cried as she walked out on Edward, but he quickly ran aaasasto catch up with her.
“don’t you love me anymore, are you doubting if we are really meant for each other, for crying out loud-this is marriage- for better for worse till death to us part,” he said still holding Mabel.
“just let me go Edward, i need to be alone because all my pains always comes from you and your family, first your ex which is Erica and now your mother, i guess am not welcome in this family anymore,” Mabel ranted, she tried to free herself from his grip but he refuse to let her go.
“what that suppose to mean Mabel? are you giving up on us, on our marriage and also on our daughter, i love you and am here by your side, every step you go, we’ll scale throu-ghthis. Am sorry Mabel, i know it my mom and Erica who’s causing you this pain but believe me am not gonna leave you because i love you right from the depth of my heart,” Edward said calmly while Mabel kept on crying.
“okay then.. when will all this end..huh? she cried.
“soon! we’ll scale throu-ghthis together, if you can’t trust me just at least believe in me,” Edward said as he hug-ged her ti-ghtly.
“am gonna talk to dad about this, i will handle this myself,” he said.
✨In a cool evening, Edward return back from his parents mansion he was so heart broken after their conversion, his father said warn him to becareful with whatever steps he will take because Erica’s father isn’t a cool man, he even threaten to kill Edward if anything bad should happen to his daughter and the unborn baby.
Edward told Mabel about it and how the tables turn around him.
“sometimes, somethings are meant to happen and their’s nothing we can do about it, if that’s what your parents want then so be it, i guess i don’t even have a say in this family anymore. Your parents are the one who always decides for this family,” Mabel said and with that she stood up to leave but Edward quickly held her back.
“i know you must be heart broken but believe me when i say you’re the only woman i love. I’ve agree to let Erica come in with the baby once she give birth but believe me Mabel i will personally handle Erica myself i will make sure she leave this house herself and with the goddamn baby,
i will make her life a living hell,” he said while Mabel wipe off the tears in her eyes.
“you don’t have to do that, well let just see what fate have in sto-re for us,” Mabel concluded heart broken, she can’t believe Erica will come back to their lives after all this years.
▪▪▪Things were pretty cool and Mabel enjoined the company of her husband and daughter but she was still scared because Erica will come back to their life after nine month. After nine months all her happiness will die down, she wonder if she’ll ever be happy with Erica in her family.
Erica keep her cool and distance from Edward because she was happy carrying his child, she decided to carry the pregnancy alone and not to bother him with her troubles because she’s planning something big when she finally get to be in his house.
….?
…As time went on, Erica is only left with one month before putting to bed, she threw a grand baby shower, she invited Edward but of course he didn’t show up. Edward seems so happy and was looking forward to have her baby.
Edward walked into the large building as he make use of the elevator.
Erica’s dad called him there because he needed to talk to him about something.
“you’re welcome Edward,” Mr. Sean said with a straight face, Edward sat down opposite to him, waiting to hear what he have to say.
“your dad ask me to talk to you, especially about this company. Edward you know we are already partners in this business and we are doing well, you’re such an intelligent young man and same thing with Erica.
To be honest i thought you’ll end up with my daughter so the company will be perfectly bond but it didn’t happen because you went ahead and married that wretched poor thing…
“i guess is your daughter you’ll call a wretched desperated bitc-h,” Edward fired back in anger. Mr. Sean was surprise to see Edward talk back at him in that manner.
“enough Edward, my daughter is not desperate and mind you i guess this the perfect time to sets things right, i and your parents are making simple arrangement for your court wedding with Erica, now i know the company is secured having you and Erica to work as team together and most important as husband and wife. Edward you just have to accept the way things are going even for the sake of the company and for the sake of your father too,
this for the future of the company and also for the future of your unborn baby. Erica grew up without a mother and i know she wounldn’t be happy if her baby just grew up without her or without her father. Be a man and take up your responsibility, you don’t have to ruin your reputation for no reason,”
When Sean was done talking Edward seems to be lost in his thoughts.
“okay Sir but that wouldn’t change the fact that i only love Mabel and my daughter, only them alone,” Edward said and with that he stood up and left leaving Mr. Sean speechless.
“well, Erica is in for it,” he shrugged wondering if this actually the kind of life his daughter wanted.
Few months Later..?
Erica gave birth to a baby girl and it seems she’s the only one happy about it, she named her daughter: Sarah. A name after her mother.
Edward still requested for a DNA with the so called daughter Erica has been claiming so she allow him do so and after that, the result turn out positive, it shows Sarah was related to him- as his daughter.
Mabel was quite happy for the safe delivery of Erica, she was also happy for Edward for been a father of two kids now but then she’s scared and worry of what the future might hold for them with Erica and her daughter in the picture.
▪▪▪A simple court wedding was conducted and Edward sign some docu-ments and some concerning the marriage.
Now Erica is also his legal wife and she moved into the mansion to live with him and his family…
