“You bitc-h,” Mabel yelled as she kept Princess on the couch then rush to Erica and drag her hair.
“get out of my house you who-re, Edward can never be yours,” she yelled in tears while Princess was already crying. Edward heard noises as he open his eyes, his head was aching so bad.
“it your husband who invite me here,” Erica said without any regrets.
“Ma..bel,” Edward said in a whisper, he felt so weak, he look around the room then discover he’s in bed with Erica and he was only on his boxers, he tried to recall what happen last night but the only thing that he could remember was the s-ex he had with Erica- so disgusting.
“anyway, am done and i guess i will leave now but am still gonna come back sooner or later,” Erica yelled at Mabel then stood up from the bed putting on her dress.
“Erica.. how dare you drugged me,” Edward said calmly, he wanted to yell at her or even slap her at that moment but he felt so weak and his head was aching so bad.
“don’t act as if you don’t enjoy it, well i have something important to attend to, i just want you to wait for the result of what happen last night,” she sm-irk then walked out of the room.
Mabel was in tears already, she quickly carried Princess in her arms then walked out of the room angrily.
“please.. Mabel you have to hear me out,” Edward quickly rushed out of the room and hurried to Mabel but she rushed to one of the guest room then locked up the door.
“please open the door Mabel.. am sorry,” he said.
“i just want to be alone, please leave Edward.. just let me be,” Mabel cried. Edward was so worried he could hear Mabel sobbing while Princess was crying too.
“please open up even for the sake of Princess… don’t let Erica create confusion between us.. i love you Mabel, its you i love,” he said bitterly, regretting why he ever allow Erica to come to his house, this was the reason why he wanted them to meet up at the restaurant- to avoid such thing. Edward called one of the maid and ask them to get him the spare key of the room Mabel was in but he was told the spare key was with Mabel already, there’s no way he can open the door except to break it down.
Edward went back to the bedroom feeling so angry with himself.
“fu-ck you Erica, you’ll gonna regret this,” he yelled to himself. Edward quickly freshen up then took some pain reliever, he went to check on Mabel but she still refuse to open the door for him. Edward has to cancel all he’s appointment, he needed to set things right with his dear wife, he just want Mabel to love and trust him again. He sat down at the door step hoping for Mabel to open the door when she’s ready.

▪▪▪Few hours later, Mabel turn to look at her baby, she was sleeping peacefully, she just couldn’t believe what she saw earlier, she was heart broken, this was her fear she don’t want Edward to leave her because she loves him so very much, she’s just need time to think things throu-gh, it as if more problems are still piling up for them.
Mabel quietly stood up and gently open the door, it been like five hours now, maybe Edward left for work, she thinks. When she opens the door she found him right at the door step, she wanted to rushed back and locked the door but Edward quickly stopped her collecting the keys from her hand.
“Mabel.. i just couldn’t go anyway nor sleep without resolving this with you.. i love you,” he mutter.
“that the problem Edward.. you love me but sometimes love isn’t enough. Why did you allow Erica to use you that way,” Mabel asked in a cracking voice, her eyes were already filled up with tears.
“i don’t know Mabel, she drugged me, right in my own house, i wasn’t in my right sense, it not my fault,” Edward said trying to hold back his tears.
“i love you Edward, am scare you might leave me one day, i just don’t want to lose you but from the look of things, you’re gradually sli-pping out from my hands,” she cried letting out the tears she have been holding.
“am not gonna leave you Mabel, i love you for real and i won’t allow such thing to happen again, please trust me when i say you’re my life, my everything,” he said then hug-ged her so ti-ghtly.
▪▪▪Later in the evening Edward and Mabel walked hand in hand, as they went to one of the largest bedroom they have.
“it’s done, this our new bedroom, i ask the maids to arrange it this way, i don’t want to remember about Erica anymore and am very sorry Mabel,” Edward apologies again while Mabel smile.
“it okay with me and their’s no need to apologies again, we have talked about this i know you’ll never do anything to hurt me,” she said while Edward smiled then kis-sed her.
“Erica will gonna for this, i need to visit mom now,” he said Mabel while nodded. She heaved a sigh of relief then look around the large bedroom, she sat down on the bed and think about her life- she don’t want to share Edward with anyone, because she so much love him..
Mabel was lost in her thought when her phone rang, the caller was her mother inlaw – Amelia.
“hello mom,” she said trying to sound lively.
“aren’t you coming for Greg’s birthday party?
“huh… am sorry..i don’t think so,” she said.
“come on Mabel, why the sudden change of mind? Amelia asked.
“nothing.. am just having a severe headache, Princess also need me. Am not just feeling too well and beside Erica might be their am not ready to set my eyes on her,” Mabel said rushing her words, she’s not in for any party tonight, not after what happen in the morning. She thought.
“oh.. okay then,” Amelia said then hanged up immediately.
Amelia laugh after her phone call with Mabel, she knew the plan has been accomplish.
“this just the beginning of your suffering Mabel,” she said to herself.
“mom,” Edward called as he walked in and meet his mother busy with her phone at the sitting room.
“hey Edward, you didn’t tell me you’ll gonna come,” she said smiling.
“can’t i visit my parents anytime i want again? he asked.
“sure you can, so how’s your wife and daughter? she asked.
“fine mom, where’s dad? he asked.
“he’s yet to come back from work,”
“mom, i just want to tell you Erica has cross her limit and i hate her the more, and believe me mom she’s gonna pay for what she did,” Edward said in a serious tone.
” what has she done? Amelia asked pretending not to know anything.
“she drugged me mom, i know i shouldn’t be telling you this but i just want to tell you to stay out of this when i arrest Erica, i know you like her more than Mabel but believe me when i say Erica will gonna pay for this, no one will change my mind not even you,” he said.
“you’ll gonna ruin your reputation Edward and am sure your dad won’t be happy about this. Am sorry if Erica have to appear so desperate but please this should be a family issue…
“enough mom, i know you’ll defend Erica but not this time,” Edward said so angry as he stood up to leave.
“don’t walk out on me Edward am still your mother and i know what’s best for you.. this might ruin your reputation so just handle it as a good man should,” Amelia said while Edward didn’t say anything as he walked out in anger.
▪▪▪ Mabel rested her head on Edward che-st, she was feeling so sleepy already because today has been such a bad day for her, all she needed now is to sleep and forget about her sorrows but what important to her is her daughter and Edward are right by her side.
“love.. you look so worried,” Mabel said looking at him.
“and you look so sleepy.. you need to sleep,” he said.
“and how will i sleep knowing fully well that my husband look so worried,” she said.
“sure, i have cause you so much pains Mabel, i don’t want to disturb you with my problems,” he said caressing her hair.
“just tell me Love, is it about Erica? or your parents?
“both… i want Erica to pay for what she did but mom said i might ruin my reputation. Mabel, i can’t let this slide because Erica is such a bitc-h to have drag me into her mess,” Edward said so frustrated, regretting why he ever know Erica.
“hmm… i guess your mom is right, their’s no point in all this. This might ruin this family reputation too, what will people also say about me: that i can’t keep my husband. Edward, Erica will gonna regret this one way or the other, so why not let karma catch up with her at his own will,” Mabel said while Edward sighed not knowing what to say anymore.

✨Greg’s birthday party was a huge one, he just turn four and his parents were happy for him, after the party, Greg followed his nanny and dad back to their house while Sally his mother waited to catch up with Erica. Erica has been her very close friend, since when they were in college, Sally was lucky to get married to Jones, a very handsome young man, he’s also a friend to Edward and a business a-ssociate. Erica has always wanted her relationship with Edward to work out but everything was ruined when Mabel came into the picture.
“how was the vacation at England? Erica asked while Sally gisted her about everything, they wanted to celebrate Greg’s birthday party their but Jones suggested they do it here.
“Sally, you’re so lucky. Having a good husband and a sweet son like Greg, your family is just perfect,” Erica said sadly.
“sure, i also thought things will work out well between you and Edward, am sorry for everything but i guess you should move on with your life,” Sally said with a small smile.
“i want to, but i can’t, i love Edward and i will do everything to have him to myself,” Erica said while Sally was surprise to hear that from her.
“love can’t be for-ce, you might only regret it later,” she said while Erica was speechless hearing that.

?..A MONTH LATER..?
Edward was back from work, feeling so exhausted. He was surprise when he saw his mom with Erica.
“Erica.. haven’t i warn you to stay away from my family. Mom! why are you here with her? Edward asked so angry with them, he don’t want Mabel to come out and see them here.
“Erica came to my house and told me something, i know you’ll not gonna listen to her so i decide to come alone with her so she can tell you herself,” Amelia said while Erica sm-irk looking at Edward. She brou-ght out an envelope from her hand bag then threw it to his face.
“just leave my house, am not in for anything now,” Edward warned as he picked up his phone to call his security men to chase her out themselves.
“chill Edward.. i know you’ll gonna be happy cos am pregnant! she smiled. Edward was shocked to hear that, he thought everything was over between them.
“and you think am gonna believe you, now leave my house or i call the police,” he yelled at her.
“Edward, she’s telling you the truth you can read the result for yourself and you think she just fake everything once she give birth you can go for DNA test with the baby, she’s serious,” Amelia said making Edward more angry. Mabel was standing in a corner listening to their conversation, her eyes were clouded up with tears, she knew this will happen after all.
“no mom, i hate Erica, even if that thing in her tummy is my child as she claim, am not gonna accept her because i hate both her and the baby, this was only a mistake of what she did. She drugged me and lure me into bed with her and she still except me to accept the baby with an open arms, hell no- this was the result of her mistake,” Edward yelled while his mom landed a heavy slap on his face.
“we are talking about your unborn baby here and you’re blabbing about her mistake. Listen to me Edward once Erica put to bed you must accept the baby and also Erica as your second wife if you don’t want me and your father to disown and curse you,” she yelled at him.
Mabel couldn’t believe what she heard.. taking Erica as a second wife- she hate to share her husband with anyone but then things don’t always go the way we plan…?
