“Can your bĀ©yfriĀ£ndeven? He’s God sĀ£nt I swear, guy sabi bur-st my head, she boasted while I rolled my eyes.
“Can your bĀ©yfriĀ£ndeven? Who are you intimid@t!ngnow? I said in my heart with a fake smile to cover up.
“So what’s up? Valentine is coming, where is your bĀ©yfriĀ£nd? She sang and twer-ked to it while my girlfriends laughed.
“Omoh e go h0t that day, plenty plans dey sha, they said wi-nking at me.
Obviously I was the only one single in their midst and I just shook my head,
“Eh lonely, I am so lonely I agree no be crime, I said and took my phone as it beeped ignoring their talks. It was someone asking me to supply 2 of the bags I advertised on my page.
“Okay, colors plea-se, I replied.

“I gat you, deal and thanks for dropping byā„, I replied and dropped the phone.

I slowly left the window with my hands on my w@!st,
“How can people be this shameless and wicked? I thought and heaved.
That evening i decided to sit outside going throu-gh my phone when his wife returned with her cute 3 years old daughter.
“Aunty! The baby screamed when she saw me and i stood up so happy to see her.
“My love, my lolli-pop, my vanilla! I tea-sed her as she ran and hvgged me while I carried her.
“How’s is my baby today? I asked cleaning the biscuit crumb on her cheek.
“My teacher gave me big good in my book, she replied and i laughed.
“Oh that’s so sweet, I said and greeted her mom who slowly approached smiling.
“You kept my baby too long in the shop today, I said to her keeping the girl down.
“I went to my mom place, the lady replied.
“Alright, welcome back, i said to her.
“Thank you, plea-se I’ll love to have that bag, the pink one i showed you that day I’ll pay throu-gh transfer, the lady said.
“No problem, I’ll bring it later for you, go have your rest, i said to her and smiled at the way the little girl ran probably to go see her father……….
I got in and packaged the pink bag she asked for and left to her ap@rtment. I knocked on the door and her cheating husband opened up,
“Hey Pricy baby, he said smiling but that nickname got me angry when i saw what he did outside. Every respect i had for him was just gone and i stretched the bag for him,
“For your wife, i said with a straight face that got him surprised.
“What’s wrong? He asked getting the bag from me but i turned and left saying nothing to him.
I got to my ap@rtment very furious why he answered the door and my phone began to ring. It was one of my girlfriend at the salon and i picked up,
“Babe, i said and sat down.
“Prisca, you don see Jacinta engagement pictures? She asked.
“Which pictures again? She showed us na, I replied.
“The picture does not look like engagement picture na but just a selfie with him holding the phone. She never even upd@tĀ£ engaged for her wall but only “a gift from boo” Or did you see a ring? She asked.
“Is that why you called? Abeg I don’t have time for petty gossips, she’s engaged and she showed us the ring make that one do you, i replied.
“Hiannnnn na quarrel? She asked.
“I dey busy abeg, i replied and dropped the call and sighed.

That night I couldn’t sleep, I just kept pacing in my be-d despite I was tired and nee-ded sleep.
I thought about what happened just at my window and remembered my ex and how we broke up because he was cheating.
The dude was not even sober for what he did and saw it as his right.
But how do they even enjoy this and still have the guts to look into their p@rtner eyes with no guilt? I asked myself and sighed sitting up and took my phone.
I noticed Jacintha tagged me on a post, and when I opened it, I saw what Tessa said when she called me on phone.
Its unlike Jacintha, she would have posted the engaged and love stories and comments would have been trooping in by now.
And yes, there was no ring on her f!nger, because I carefully zoomed the picture to the last, and when I saw that I logged out and called her on phone.
“Was-sup? She picked up immediately.
“I just dey see your post, I was not expecting that, I replied.
“Oh you wanted the change of status? Not now babe, she said.
“I no gr-ab, why not now? I asked.
“Uhmmm I want it to be on val day so it will look more ro-mantic you know, she replied laughing.
“You’re so silly, but you said he will be out for business, I said.
“Yea that’s true but he may return you know, and we’ll surely see and take ro-mantic pictures and it will be vow, just relax, she said and I rolled my eyes.

“You don dey ment, no respect again because you don engage, comot for my phone, i said and dropped the call and quic-kly turned off the lights forcing myself to sleep……………
The next day i hurried with my trash bin to empty it outside when i saw the cheating husband washing his car. Just seeing him alone spoilt my mood as i pas-sed with the speed of light that made him shocked.
I returned after emptying the bin and he quic-kly blocked my way,
“I don’t un-derstand Prisca what did i do to you? He asked.
“Daddy Love plea-se excuse me I’m in a hurry, i replied.
“If I’ve done anything to you why not tell me, with the way you pas-sed me this morning and your mood yesterday when you delivered the bag i know something is wrong, he said and i smiled.
“So if something is wrong what’s your business? Abeg face your car, i said and left him standing to my ap@rtment.
Done eating and dressed up for work i took my bag to leave but saw Mommy Love also leaving the house and i greeted her while Love ran to me as i locked my door.
“Good morning my sweetheart, set for school huh? I asked arranging her collar and her mother met with us.
“Did you see the alert? She asked me.
“Yea I saw it this morning thanks, i replied her.
“Nah its nothing, its for my mother in-law anyway and am sure she’ll like it, she said and i looked at her more closely and held Love hand as we walked out together.
“Are you sure about that because i don’t think so, i said when we left the compound and she heaved.
“Well you see she never accepted me from the very first day my husband introduced me to her. And I’m trying so ha-rd to make her like me at least, she said and i scoffed.
“Really? You don’t have to beg her to like you, and who said she’s going to appreciate the gifts you’ve been buying for her anyway? Why not channel it to your mother who will treasure it and bless you rather than throwing it away for someone who doesn’t care, i said very pissed with what she told me.
“Its not that easy Prisca, i just want peace and my family to be happy and intact, she said and i nodded.
“I un-derstand, don’t worry she’ll get tired of hating you, i said.
“I hope so, she said and got Love from me which i waved at them and stĀ©pped a taxi.
I looked at them as the taxi took off and I shook my head,
“You’re tolerating so much from your marriage alre-ady yet your husband is cheating on you. Dear Lord!, I said in my heart and breathed out…………
I got to the office and all i saw were valentine surprise packs advertisement.
“You nee-d to surprise your lover this valentine with shikina money, i heard the lady saying to the men there showing them the different valentine packs she can offer and i shook my head and sat down watching them.
“What about the ladies? We no dey follow collect surprise packs? One of the guys asked her.
“Ahhh of course its also available, she replied and c@mĀ£ running to my desk on her heels.
“Good morning and welcome Prisca. Wow your Val hair looks nice on you and you can add more spice to it by surprising your boo this valentine. I gat beautiful wristwatches, sneakers and powerful perfumes well decorated that will b!ow his head off. So what do you think? She kept ranting while i placed my hand on my cheek looking at her.
“Hello Prisca are you listening to me at all? She asked when i didn’t say anything to her.
“Sorry were you talking to me? What were you saying? I asked and she rolled her eyes.
“What a waste of time, she replied with a frown and left my desk while i tried holding my laugh but the others couldn’t stĀ©p laughing. I saw the men were not interested with the surprise packs whatever and i smiled and stood up from my seat.
“Excuse me oo, I gat beautiful bags you can gift your lover this season, trust me when i say you can pas-s de-ep down into a woman heart by giving her beautiful bags, i said taking up my phone to advertise my own product.
“Prisca i have the floor okay and am not done, my colleague said.
“Oh sorry its a free world. So as I was saying, check out this authentic beautiful bags that will last your lover till the next valentine. With this she will never forget you because whenever she takes this out, you’ll be beating in her heart tum tum tum! In fact a smile will lit up on her face because it was a gift from you on a ro-mantic day, you cant miss this nau just check it out, I said showing the men my products which they laughed.
“Oh Prisca just give me the white one I’ll pay when i get paid, women with wahala, one of the men told me and i win-ked at my colleague who folded her arms looking at me so angry.
“Thanks for the opportunity, and Sorry i once worked in an advertising company its not my fault, i whispered to her and left to continue my sales……….
