4 MONTHS LATER
“Sis you can do this just push”Jason screamed as I p@n-ted heavily…giving birth is not easy,I feel like I’m gonna die any time soon..it hurts so much
“No no no…I’m weak,I’m so weak I don’t think I can do this”
“Just push,the head is alre-ady out…you can do this”mum whispered with as-surance
“Arrrrrrrrrghhhhh”I screamed with all my might and the cry of a new born baby filled the ward and I smiled as I breathed heavily…I did it,I’m a mother
“Can I hold him?”I asked and the doctor placed my baby in my open arms .I pe-cked his forehead and he shuddered..I smiled out tears at the beautiful perfection in my arms
“What are you gonna name him?”Jason asked and I held my baby’s little hand
“Michelle..Michelle Campbell”I said and Jason smiled..
“You did great”mum complimented and I nodded with a smile…I did do great
“Isn’t he cute?”I asked
“He’s a beauty”dad said and I smiled
“Um…Madi”mum called and I turned to face her
“Yes mum”
“There’s something you nee-d to know”she said and I sat up with Michelle in my arms
“You’re not keeping the baby”mum said and I felt a ban-g on my head…what does she mean by I’m not keeping the baby..my baby
“What do you mean”
“Yeah what’s going on”Jason added
“We are selling the baby to and orphanage”dad said and my face darkened in fury
“What?!”I thun-dered
“Why the hell are you selling Michelle”Jason fired and mum sighed
“Madison,you can’t take care of a baby,you’re just 18..you nee-d to go to college,you can’t take care of a baby and also go to college”mum said and I sighed
“That is for me to decide…I’ll find a way to take care of my baby and at the same time go to college but selling my child is out of the question”
“Madison its for your own good”
“No…I’m not selling my baby”
“You’re selling that bastard and that’s final”mum fired
“My child is not a bastard and I’m not selling him”I fired back and she scoffed
“We’ll see about that”she picked her purse and stomped out of my ward.I don’t care,all I know is my child is not going to be sold
I got discharged after two days and mum kept bugging me about selling Michelle and i kept telling her no.Why would a person sell a child that has a mother to an orphanage?Who does that?
*knock knock*

“Sis”Jay called as he c@m£ in looking troubled
“What’s up…what’s wrong”
“You’re not gonna like this”
“Like what?”I asked as I placed michelle carefully on his baby be-d
“Come with me”he took me by my hand and we exited the room and made for the living room
“Oh..there she is,Madison meet Mrs Brown”mum introduced and a plump blonde woman stretched her hand for a handshake which I reluctantly took and she smiled
“Why is she here”I asked
“Well,she’s an agent from the orphanage”mum replied and I clenched my fist
“So you have to sign this..since your mum told me you’re selling a baby to our organization”the agent said stretching a do¢v-ment to me
“I’m not signing that thing”I said with anger visible in my voice
“My dear this is for your own good…you can’t cater for a baby”dad said and I shook my head
“I’ll make money and take care of him”
“And how are you gonna do that”mum fired
“I don’t know I’ll figure it out”
“You’re selling that child and that’s final!”
“I’m not selling my baby and that’s it!”
“Fine then get re-ady to move out of this house because you won’t sleep un-der my roof,or feed from my pocket”mum thun-dered and the room went dead silent
“Mum what are you saying?”Jason finally spoke up
“You heard me right,if you won’t sell that child then you’re leaving this house”I scoffed unbelievably and mouthed a “wow”
“Barbara”dad tried saying but mum cut in
“No Williams,I’ve made my decision”
“No…mum you can’t do this…sis what are you gonna do?”Jason asked and I sm-irked
“Exactly what she said I should do,I’m leaving this house,in fact I’m leaving New York”I screamed as I made for the stairs
“No..plea-se don’t do this..sis don’t leave”Jason kept begging me as I packed my things
“plea-se,even if you’re gonna leave don’t leave New York”I sighed as I Zi-pped up my suitcase
“Look,I have to do this,I have to start a new life in a new place..i have to go”I picked up slee-ping Michelle from his be-d and placed him gently in the baby stra-p
“Then I’ll go with you”I sighed de-eply and placed my hands on his shoulders
“I have to do this alone Jason”he nodded and sniffed
He helped me with my travelling bag and I dragged my suitcase down the stairs carefully not to wake Michelle
“I’ll give you one last chance Madison”mum said and I shook my head
“I’ve made up my mind…bye mum bye dad”
Jason followed me to the bus st©p and he was moody all throu-gh
“Do you really have to go?”the tears he has been keeping from falling finally fell and I pu-ll-ed him into a hvg careful enough not to squee-ze Michelle who was stra-pped on my che-st
“I have to Jay..I gotta do this,I’m sorry”he nodded with tears in his eyes…my eyes were alre-ady glistening with tears too.He pushed something into my palm and I checked it
“Your credit card?”
“Yeah…I have up to 25000 bucks there,use that to take care of yourself and Michelle”
“But..what about you?”he held my hands and smiled
“Don’t worry about me,you’re all that matters..if I had seen this coming I wouldn’t have wasted my money on girls and p@rties,I wouldn’t have spent my money on useless shoes and designer clothes…I wouldn’t have…”
“Hey hey,its okay,25 000 dollars can feed us for about 10months and I also have some money in my account so…we’re good”he nodded and I smiled
“Do you have a place in mind?”
“Yeah…Texas”
“But…where are you gonna stay”
“I’ll look into some online vacant houses on the way..I’m sure I’ll get a cheap one”I said and he nodded
“Oh..the bus is here”he said and I nodded
“I guess this is it sis”
“Yeah…
“You’ll keep in t©uçh with me right?”
“Always”I pu-ll-ed him into a hvg and he sobbe-d on my shoulders
“Take care of dad for me”I said with a cracked voice and he nodded on my shoulders
I patted him on the back and pu-ll-ed out of the hvg
“Bye”
“Bye…I love you sis”
“Love you too little bro”
I gave him one last hvg before I proceeded to the bus..the bus attendant helped me with my luggage and I stepped into the bus and took a seat at the back beside a woman with a little girl..I’m guessing she’s her daughter
I sighed as I balanced Michelle well on my che-st
“Your baby is cute”the little girl said and I smiled
“What’s her name”
“Michelle and he’s a he”
She g@sped and I smiled
“He’s a boy?…he looks so feminine”
“Yeah..”I glanced at slee-ping Michelle and I smiled..he had his thumb in his mouth,he looked so cute
“He’s your son?”The woman asked and I nodded
“You must be a really br@ve and strong girl”she said and I gave a small smile
“You did the right thing child…He’s a beauty”I smiled and she nodded
I felt the bus start moving and I looked sideways and I saw Jason waving at me..I waved back with tears in my eyes and I heard him scream
“I’ll miss you”
I closed my eyes briefly and opened them again…I’m leaving New York for good and I’m never coming back…if if I’m gonna come back,I would have fulfilled my dreams by then,I would have become so successful that no one would dare cross my path
I guess this is bye bye to New York and a welcome to Texas and a new life

💕Madison’s POV💕
“Okay Mrs Russell,help me with the balloons”
“Okay dear”
Wow…its been two years and it been easy and at the same time ha-rd for me in the past one year…I secured a one room portable ap@rtment in Texas..$5000 per year.I got a job in a fancy restaurant and the pay is kinda okay..$200 per day..its okay
I enrolled Michelle in school as soon as he was 10months..my little baby has grown into a really cute one year old,He’s smart,funny and I love him so much and he loves me too..He’s the best thing that has ever happened to me aside from Jason and speaking of Jason,I do reach him frequently and he s£nds me money anytime he figures out I’m broke because I don’t tell him..Michelle calls him uncle Jay,he really likes Jason..like a lot
And here in Texas,I’m living another life ~entirely..I’m no more Madison Campbell,I’m Abigail Maxwell..people don’t know me as the daughter of the CEO of TECHMOTO so I’m glad
I’m leavi~ ng happy,I have Michelle and Mrs Russell..oh my bad,I didn’t tell you who Mrs Russell is..
Well,Mrs.Russell is a 45years old lady that leaves next door..she’s a really nice woman,she was the first person I got close to when I got here,she was really kind to me ma-king Michelle to grow really fund if her,she also knows about my past,yeah..I told her and surprisingly,she un-derstood me,she told me that I shouldn’t let all those being me down,she’s was just like a mother to me,she stood by me in times of ha-rd sh!pand challenges…sometimes she sleeps over at my place and sometimes Michelle sleeps over at her place.She’s really a God s£nt
My little angel resembles his father a lot..the only thing he took from me are my eyes and hair..he also has afro hair-makes him look like a girl,I’m sure he’s going to grow into a super handsome man.
He started talking the first time he took his first step and his first word was “mama”..I was so happy that day that I shed tears of joy..I can still remember that day like a pl@yback movie
I got home from work that day and I couldn’t find him at home so I figured out he would be at Mrs Russell’s place..I got there and there he was crawling around the lawn trying to catch a bu-tterfly..I smiled at that sight
“Baby”I called and he looked up..he smiled out his cute dimples and two growing teeth as he giggled
I wanted to walk to him but I st©pped on my tracks when I saw him stand…I was like”what is he doing”
He took a step forward and I blinked twice to be sure of what I saw..he took another step and he called
“Mama”
I couldn’t hold back the tears…I allowed them to pour freely
“Mama”he called again as he took the third step spre-ading his hand for a hvg
I ran to him and hvgged him so ti-ghtly
“Mama..cwy”he said as he wiped my face with his adorable little hands…
Anytime I remember this memory,I always cry..God really gifted me a gem
Hurry up..he’ll be up soon”Mrs Russell said and I nodded…well,today is my baby’s birthday..He’s clocking two today and we are planning a surprise birthday p@rty..
Mrs Russell,Michelle’s clas-s teacher,Miss Gold,Kay,Michelle’s favourite ice cream seller and Mrs Russell two kids are the only ones pres£nt-I don’t really have friends…I don’t even nee-d them
“Mama..”we heard him call and we quic-kly hid
I heard his tiny little foot step as he walked to the sitting room
“Mama..where you”
“SURPRISE!!!”
We all screamed and he covered his mouth with his hands..yeah he’s obviously surprised
“Ahhhh”he screamed in delight and we all laughed
“Happy birthday baby”I wore him a happy birthday cap and he giggled as he jumped up and down cl@pping his hands
“Happy Birthday my man”Kay said as he hvgged him
Mrs Russell carried him up and we made for the three layered chocolate cake that I made😁
“Yay…cake cake cake”he squealed as she placed him gently on the chair
“Now make a wish and b!ow out the candles”I said
“Okay”he closed his hands and clasped his hands together and murmured something we all didn’t hear
He opened his eyes and blew out his candles and we all cheered
“Now let’s go take your bath and you’ll come eat…I made your favorite”I picked him up and he squealed
“Taco salad?”he asked and I nodded
“Yay!!”
I str!pped off his clothes and placed him into the bathtub which is filled with foamy water
“I have like mama’s hair”he said and i chuckled
“Yeah you do”
“So….I’m I mama?”I laughed at his question and shook my head
“No you’re not”
He giggled and he started splashing water all around
“Hey Michelle st©p it”
“No”he stuck his ton-gue out and resumed his splashing
“Okay then..no more taco salad”I said and he st©pped splashing
“Sorry mama”
I picked him on the forehead and he smiled
“You’ll gimme taco?”he asked and I nodded
“Weeeee”he squealed and I laughed
Done with bathing,I wore him his clothes-a jean trou-ser and a black and white round n£¢k with timber land sneakers
I combe-d his blonde afro hair and applied gloss in it ma-king it to shine
“Now let’s go eat”he nodded and I carried him
“Celebr@nt is here”Kay screamed as we got to the sitting room
I wished out the food for everyb©dy and we all settled down in the dinning room to eat..its kinda funny how a one room ap@rtment could be this beautiful..the sitting room is wi-de enough to contain 7people,a dinning is just adjacent it..I didn’t have any furniture in the dinning before but Mrs Russell helped me with that..the kitchen too is spacious…even the room,the room too is wi-de with built in bathroom..the bathroom has a built-in bathtub
Its is a one room ap@rtment but its kinda luxurious
“Its delicious”Michelle complimented as he munched in his food
“Yeah…Abigail this food is so delish”Miss Gold said and I smiled
“You should become a chef…I bet your restaurant will run other restaurants out of business”Kay said and we laughed
Its evening time and everyone has gone home leaving only me and Michelle..that reminds me,I nee-d to call Jason
“Hey Michelle,wanna face time with Uncle J?”
He nodded with excitement and scurried to my side and sat on my [email protected] balanced well on the sofa and pu-ll-ed a call throu-gh to Jason

📞”ancle Jay”Michelle screamed and Jason laughed

I went to the door and opened it revea-ling a man..a mail man to be precise
“You have a package ma’am”he said and he gave him a quizzical look
“He stretched the package to me and I collected it”
“Have a nice day”
I smiled with a nod and closed the door
I went back to the phone and carried Michelle on my l@ps

I checked the name of the s£nder and I returned my gaze back to the phone

“Open it open it!!”he squealed and I laughed

Michelle didn’t hesitate to snatch the phone box from my hand

He mimicked me and I laughed
📞”yeah..you’ll be your own boss around your phone now”he said and Michelle nodded
He took the phone box and sat in the rug and he pla-ys with it
📞”so how has been New York
📞”well,fine..but boring without you
📞”sorry..how is dad and mum
📞”well mum is doing fine and dad is…kinda

He sighed and threw his head backwards
📞”he misses you sis
I scoffed and he chuckled
📞”he really does..most times he’ll just seat and stare at your pictures and sometimes he asks me if I get in t©uçh with you

📞”I say no but..I’m sure he doesn’t buy it,he has become really silent and broody..he isn’t the lively pops I know anymore…he really does miss you

The line went silent and I dropped my phone beside me.I glanced at Michelle who was struggling to open the phone box
“Here let me help you with it”I collected the box from him and helped him to open it..I took out the apple pad and OMG..its sparkling..its so flat and wi-de
This screen would be good for games and movies
“Gimme my phone”Michelle said with his hands stretched and his face frowned
I laughed and raised my hand in surrender..I see what he’s doing,payback..hmm i like that
