Khalid c@m£ out of his room putting on a straight face.
He descended into the living room not smiling. No one knows what’s going on in his mind.
“Jasmine” He called not even with a smile. Jasmine feels a bad aura.
Everyone looks at him. Jasmine and Dason stared at each other scared.
“What?” Jasmine put up some courage.
“What is this, is this you”‘Khalid asked in a husky go and move closer to her showing her his phone.
Jasmine couldn’t look at the phone as she closed her eyes with her heart pumping fas-ter. Her world seems to end right there due to the tension she was feeling. Different thoughts were rummaging in her mind.
“I must say you are extremely beautiful, I just wanna scared you. The pictures you took are the mall are awesome” Khalid said with a smile.
She felt some relief. She took a de-ep breath and took the phone from him. It was true, they are the pictures she took at the mall, but who on earth s£nt them to him?
Jasmine eyed Clara. She throws her face away.
“You got me scared, you called my name like there’s going to be an earthquake. All my mind flew.”Jasmine said while sitting down.
“Why should you be scared, did you do something wrong, that you think your secret will be expo-sed. When we had a pure mind we won’t be scared” Dan said with the stick of Loli-pop hanging at the corner of his mouth.
“Is not the way you see it, Dan, I was scared because the way he called me was frightening. My heart almost got out of my b©dy”Jasmine said trying to convince Dan.
“Guys I was invited to an evening p@rty. I forget, I should have told you guys since. And the worst p@rt of it Is that the p@rty is a couple’s p@rty, If you aren’t married you must come with a girl. Even if is rent or not. I don’t know what to do”Khalid breathed heavily and fling himself onto the sofa.
“Let’s go, what are we waiting for. We are accurate, I and Clara will act as a couple while you and Jasmine act as one, deal done. Hope is a masquerade p@rty though?”Leo asked.
“What are you saying? I said couple p@rty now you are talking about masquerade, are you trying to hide from someone?”Khalid asked.
“Maybe his nervous. So, wanna cover his face so that won’t show”Jasmine said and squinted at Clara.
“Dad I want a masquerade p@rty for my birthday p@rty. Oh my goodness there was a girl in my clas-s, she’s in the second position. Always trying to compete with me, but I always show her I am her boss. So I think if I am to Invite her for my birthday, then it will be good if it is a masquerade p@rty so I won’t get to see her face. Ewww! she’s troublesome.”Dan said as he re-moved the lolli-pop from his mouth.
“Huh huh! don’t tell me you have a crush on her. You like her and you are just pretending to hate her “Jasmine pouted.

” I will host the p@rty myself, and it gonna be as you wish. Masquerade Birthday “Jasmine said smiling.
“High five” Dan shouted and they both shook hands.
“Dason you seem to be lost in your phone. What are you doing?”Khalid asked and shift closer to him.
“Dason has found himself a girlfriend, she’s so stunning, and I must say she’s smart. They met at the mall. If you see how they were chatting and laughing like they knew each other for years. I must say I was so surprised when they exchange contact. It was so fast. I think he’s a real guy and Knows how to catch girls easily” Clara said smiling.
“Don’t misun-derstand us. We just wanna be friends, only that. We are chatting right now, so we can get to know more about each other.
And I found out she’s my schoolmate. She’s attending the same school Mr. Walter told me I will be attending”Dason said.
“Do you take her number? What’s your problem? You are just 16” Jasmine said angrily and walked closer to him.
“What?” Dason asked hiding his phone.
“Give me that phone, I have to delete that number. I am sure you will be running after her in school” Jasmine said trying to collect the phone from Dason.
“Jasmine, common he’s not a child again. 16years old boy should probably know how to deal with things. Tell me if you are going to be spying on him forever, Or even when in school? Don’t behave like a naive “Khalid said and stood up. Jasmine paused and didn’t budge when Khalid said this.
“Thanks, bro, I think you should lecture her. She’s too overprotective. Don’t worry sis, even if we have a relationsh!p. We will abstain. I know the implications of teen relationsh!ps. Khalid nodded his head negatively telling her not to do that but Jasmine took the phone.

So I think you staying away from teen relationsh!ps will help solve the problem. But it’s dawned on me now that I make the wrong decision.

Well, guys the p@rty, I think we are running late” Leo said standing up.
“You are so funny, I didn’t tell you the time, and you’ve alre-ady concluded that we are late. Well, we aren’t late. We still have up to an hour, so why don’t we enjoy ourselves first. I thought you guys are watching a movie before I barge in” Khalid said.
“No, why don’t we start to get re-ady now. You know girls do take time to dress. I am sure before they dress up then time will have gone, And you haven’t dressed either” Leo said.
“That’s not true, not all Ladies take time to dress up. I am sure if I wanna dress I don’t take up to ten minutes, and I will be done “Jasmine disagrees with what Leo said.
“I do take long, I think I will start to get re-ady. I take up to thirty minutes for makeup” Clara said.
“What? Are you applying all the makeup in this world on your face, or you are applying the whole makeup box on your face? Common girl what if you are working in an office, how will you cope then?”Jasmine asked.
“I don’t wear makeup every time. It’s just when there’s a p@rty. I think that answers your question” Clara said standing up.

An hour’s later, at the p@rty
Everywhere was crowded. Different guys could be seen with their ladies. The p@rty is just about to begin. Khalid’s car arrives. Jasmine and Clara alighted from the back pas-s£nger seat.
Jasmine was wearing a red armless go-wn with stones that rays to the white big bulbs around. She wears light make-up and pours her hair ma-king her look like a Barbie. Clara also put on a short blue go-wn. Khalid and Leo were in their suit as usual.
“This place is crowded,” Leo said.
“Yes, I nee-d to call Nora, so that she will know I am here. She might think I won’t come”Khalid said.
“Is she the one hosting this p@rty? “Jasmine asked.
“Yeah, she’s our primary and high school mate. Her fiance just c@m£ back to the city after years, so her parent is hosting this p@rty for his fiance” Khalid said.
“Khalid, you c@m£. I thought you won’t come as you are a very busy person”Nora rushed to him and hvgged him.
“You’ve grown big girly,” Khalid said tea-singly.
“You aren’t serious, you haven’t changed from the way you and Steve go around catching cruise,” Nora said and hit his che-st.
“He’s changed now, some kind of boring guy, don’t drown on him he’s taken. I am Leo” He said smiling and stretched this have forth for a handshake.
“Oh, really who’s the lucky girl. I am also taken, my b©yfri£ndjust c@m£ back to the city. That’s what bring about the p@rty “Nora said and shook hands with him.
“That’s great, that girl behind is the lucky girl” Leo pointed at Jasmine. Khalid glared at him beseech.
“She’s pretty. Well Khalid I heard that you and Steve aren’t friends again what happened. Because I never imagine that could happen so soon. You guys are so close, just like family. I also invited him here” Nora said.
“You say?”Everyone except Clara asked with a shocked expression. Jasmine’s heart starts pumping again.
“Nora” Someone called stri-ding towards them.
“Steve” Nora shouted on seeing him. Khalid, Leo, and Clara faced back to look at him. But Jasmine stood clenching the handkerchief in her hand.
“This is disastrous”
