“Don’t stress yourself” he said and turned to leave. I hold him back.

“Your mysterious lady” I g@sp un-der my breath. Did I just say this?. He halts and looks at me. He took a step closer. My heart pounded.

“Do you hear anything about her, or do you know her?”He asked. Looking into his eyes shows he want a positive reply from me.

“I hate lies”He’s word c@m£ ringing in my head. I took a de-ep breath and clear the lump in my lungs.

“How am I supposed to know her, you just tell me about her yesterday. So I thought of helping you to find her. I will help you to find her in a few days” I lied and smile.

“OH REALLY! Thanks alot. You are a darling. I will be glad if you could do this” He said joyously.

A smile el@psed his dre-aded face he was so cute. That dre-aded face doesn’t suit a cute guy like him. I wish I always make him smile.

“Is nothing. Why can’t I do that? Don’t worry you will hear everything about her in just a week. I promise you that” I as-sured him.

You guys must be wondering why I lied again. I was terrified! Yeah. I have not been this scared in my life before.

“Make any wishes. I promise to fulfill it if you find her”He said.

“You just have to promise you will make me live here, I love it here. And also promise you won’t be mad at me if I did the wrong thing “I glanced at him waiting for his reply.

He took a de-ep breath. “I can as-sure you that you will stay here in this house as long as you wish, but I can’t promise that I won’t be mad at you when you did the wrong thing.

If I see you aren’t doing the right thing, as I friend I will be mad at you and also try to caution you. So that’s not a promise, we are humans born to get angry” The said.

“You are right, we are bound to get angry. I think you should start going to work now “I said, and feigned a smile.

“Yeah. Clara said you guys are going to the beach, Right?”He asked. ”

Yeah”I nodded my head in reply.

“Okay take good care of yourself and be careful. And about Dason I spoke to the school organization.

They said registration is off for now but I pleaded with them. We would go there together tomorrow” He said.

“Thanks, Mr. Walter God bless you” I prayed.

“You are most welcome,” He said and turned to leave.

“Wait,” I said and he halt.

“What?”He asked. Ok

“Can you write a letter to her? With this, it will be easy. I think I will go and drop the letter then wait silently for the person that will come and take the letter. This will be easier” I said.

“Do you think that’s a good idea, I never thought of this so far. I must say you are intelligent” Khalid said happily.

I saw Dason standing by the door. He was fuming glaring at me. I signal him not to do anything funny, but he left angrily. Thank God Khalid didn’t see him.

“I am off,” He said and leaves the room. I rushed to Dason’s room, but he alre-ady knocked on the door from behind” Dason I called.

“Can you plea-se leave my door? I am fre*kiing tired of your silly attitude. You keep lying, over and over again” He shouted from inside. This is so bad, he hasn’t been this angry at me before.

“I am sorry, I was just scared. I don’t know what to do I don’t want to lie, but I was stuck” I shouted hitting his door.

“Can you st©p causing turmoil? Leave me alone for goodness sake. For how long will you be scared? You are behaving like a coward. What am I even saying? You are a coward. You heard him when he said he hate lies.

Instead of you to rectify your past mistake, you went ahead and lied again. What are you teaching me then, I should be lying. I think that’s what I will start doing” He shouted.

I nee-d to st©p him before any other person hears him. I decided to keep quiet. I know he will open the door if he didn’t hear my voice.

“Jasmine, are you there. I am not joking you better speak up now, I am very angry at you. Jas” He shouted and opened the door. He wanna close the door when he saw me standing right there, but I was way too fas-ter. I pushed the door f0rç£fully and entered.

“What do you think? that I did that intentionally. I was scared, very scared. You are right I am a very big coward. I great one” I said and recline on the be-d.

“Why are you scared? It will be better If you speak up before is too late. Or I will tell him myself” Dason said with a frown.

“No, you won’t do that. Just give me one week I will tell him the whole truth. If you tell him, that will complicate issues. plea-se chill, I will sort things out. I am sure he will forgive me” I said and hvgged him.

“I prayed you should be able to do this, you might lie again,” Dason said.

I patted his back gently.

“Trust me,” I said.

“Guys can we go now” Clara knocked at the door.

Khalid POV

I was in my office feeling cheerful. Jasmine has just made my day brighter. I picked up my pen to start working on some files when my phone beeped. It was Maddy, my crazy sister.

“Hi small boy,” She said from the other end of the call.

“How are you big sis” I sm-irked.

“plea-se who am I speaking with, is this Khalid or Leo. This is strange. Hello, who is this?” She asked. I knew she will be shocked at my replies.

I am a serious being. But today I think I am cheerful. I just don’t want any bad news. I just wanna cheer today.

“This is Khalid, you love. How have you been?”I asked but there was no reply

“Hello, are you there?”I asked. “I think someone stole Khalid’s phone and his trying to frame me. God forbid”I heard her say from the other end, then she hang out.

“Is this girl crazy, can’t she hear my voice?” I said and dial her number. User busy.

Imagine she leave me to call another person before I could notice an Intruder barged into my office as usual.

“Khalid where’s your phone? Maddy said it was stolen and the person is trying to frame her”Leo said with his phone on his ear, which shows he’s still on call.

“This is it, both of you are so dumb,” I said showing him my phone.

“Maddy he’s the one talking, his phone is here with him, “Leo said.

They were long silence, I don’t know why he was quiet because I couldn’t hear their conversation. But am sure Maddy is telling him something.

“Yes, you can try calling him now,” He said and come closer to my table.

“I think you are in for your talk today. Well, I am re-ady, I also wanna talk like you” I said and pour some water into the cu-p.

“Are you okay? I think you nee-d coffee. Or the water.”He asked and took the water I poured into the cu-p.

He gulped everything in a goal. I stared at him as I should just kill him.

“Did I look like I am not okay?”I asked with a long hiss. He put his hand un-der his jaw and glared at me, with his mouth open.

I also glare at him.

“I think we are doing a glaring competition, am in for it,” I said. And also did the way he did.

“You look cheerful today. I didn’t notice this earlier. So I was surprised. I know you very well. If it was you, you would have asked me to go and not disturb you. What’s the secret?” Leo asked.

Just then Maddy’s call c@m£ again. “Hi Khalid,” She asked.

“Miss do you still have some doubt about me, or you are re-ady to say whatever is it you have to say?”I asked.

“Don’t be a rude small boy. I was just confused. I thought they kidnapped you” She said.

“No one can kidnap me unless I am the one that will kidnap them”I br@gged.

“I know you well. br@gging is your best food. Well, I have life-changing news for you” She said. I wonder what’s it but I can’t lie this is killing me alre-ady. I mean real suspense.

“What? tell me” I said.

“My informant just called to inform me that the girl is now in Moscow. I mean your mysterious lady. And according to what she says, they wanna f0rç£d her to get married, but she elope because she didn’t like the guy” She explained.

I was so shocked at this news. So this sister of mine still has an informant even though she’s not in the country?

“Moscow, marriage” I was stunned.

“Yeah, I will keep you upd@t£d. I told her to change her location to Moscow. She must figure her out before a week”She said.

This makes me happier. Jasmine and Maddy promised me to find her in a week. My phone beeped, I think it was a message.

“Hold on Maddy I will call you back”I end the call to see who’s message was it.

“Another message from the unknown number” I uttered.
