“What prize?” Evie asked and the three stared at her.
“Sis?” June called.
“What are you guys talking about?” Evie asked looking at the three of them.
“Actually sis…” June explained everything to her.
“OMG! Really Lerie?” Evie asked sitting beside Valerie and Valerie only stared at her.
She was feeling dizzy.
“Thank you so much Lerie!” She squealed, hugging her tightly.
“I owe you my life.” She said and Valerie didn’t reply.
“Are you okay?” Evie asked but before she could say a word, she passed out on Evie’s shoulder.
“Lerie!! Lerie!!” She screamed slapping her cheek lightly.
“Doctor!!” June called.
Few moments later,
The doctor has injected Valerie a sleeping pills so she could get enough rest.
She was supposed to rest after donating her blood.
“She’s fine. She’s weak after donating her blood and what she needs right now is a lot of vitamins, give her a lot of fruits.” The doctor said to them and they nodded.
Then he left, Evie went to sit beside Valerie on the bed, stroking her hair.
“June, go get her fruits.” Evie said and June nodded and left.
“Mom, how’s Jeffrey doing?” She asked and Tessa sighed.
“His driver and bodyguard couldn’t make it. The doctor still hasn’t said anything about him. The operation is still ongoing.” Tessa replied and she nodded.
Two hours later, the operation was successful and Jeffrey was moved into the ICU, tho he was still unconscious.
Evie was allowed to see him right now, but Tessa and June had already gone home.
She walked into his ward, to meet him sleeping peacefully.
He had scratches on his face and a bandage tied around his head. He had a drip connected to his hand.
She touched his head and she remembered asking the doctor if the wound on his head was gonna nudge any memories.
She couldn’t afford him regaining his memory of that night.
She brought out the syringe which she came in with, she has been injecting him it for a long time, tho their family doctor made it easy but now he wasn’t in their family hospital, she had to do it herself.
She brought a small bottle and she put in the liquid in the syringe, then she injected him the syringe.
“I’m sorry Jeffrey. But you can’t remember.” She whispered.
Valerie woke up later in the night, approximately, she has slept for 6 hours.
She slowly sat up on the bed, her head wasn’t aching anymore. She made to get down the bed when her phone started ringing and she picked it up.
It was Evie calling.
She picked it up.
“I just knew you were awake. How’re you feeling right now?” Evie asked and she only nodded.
“Better than earlier?” Evie asked and she muttered a yes.
“Great. You’ll see a plate of fruits on the table beside you, take it. The doctor said you need a lot if vitamins. I’m sorry, I can’t be there with you. I got something to do. I’ll come see you in the morning.” Evie explained and Valerie nodded.
“Okay.” She dropped the call.
Her eyes went to the fruits on the table. Her mind suddenly went to Jeffrey. She quickly cut off the drip connected to her and got down the bed.
She walked to the receptionist whom she got his ward number from and she went to him.
When she entered his room, he was sleeping.
She closed the door behind her and began walking to him. She stood beside him, staring at his face.
She took a seat and placed it beside his bed, then she sat on it. She held his hand on hers and smiled, a short smile tho, then she looked at his face.
“Yunno, in as much as I want to hàte you Theo, I can’t do it. Why did you do it?” She asked lowly, blinking her tears.
“But then, my love is not important now. Getting my son is, now that Evie is back, I know exactly what to do.” She said, looking at him.
She let go off his hand and stood up. Staring at him one last time, she left the ward.
Just then, Jeffrey woke up.

Fawn was seated beside Max when Ashley walked into the class glaring at him angrily.
He walked up to him, clenching his fist.
Fawn raised a brow seeing him.
“Let’s talk.” He said and Fawn chuckled.
“Why? What makes you think I wanna talk to you??” Fawn asked him and Ashley tightened his fist.
He dragged Fawn’s arm and began dragging him out of the class but Fawn forcefully yanked his hand off him.
“F**king let go!!” Fawn yelled and Ashley lost his temper and he punched Fawn.
Fawn staggered back and a lod gasps escaped everyone’s lips.
Ashley grabbed Fawn’s collar, glaring hatefully at him.
“@sshole…”
June walked in just then, she saw everything.
“Ashley!” She yelled.
She walked to Ashley and forcefully removed his hand from Fawn’s shirt then she slapped him.
Surprised gasps filled the air. Even Paisley was very surprised.
Ashley held his hurting cheeks, his jaw shook as he slowly raised his gaze to June.
He took his gaze to Fawn who was smirking at him and he clenched his fist.
“How dare you start a fight with him?” June yelled at him.
“June-”
“Enough! I don’t want to hear anything you have to say.” She yelled at him.
“Let’s go Fawn.” She held Fawn’s hand and took him out of the hall.

Evie walked down the stairs, with Valerie. She was going for another business trip. Tho she said it’s wo days this time around.
Jeffrey was downstairs, he got discharged yesterday and he hasn’t resumed work yet.
“I trust you to take care of yourself. And also, Leo.” Evie said to Jeffrey.
“I’m responsible, unlike some people.” Jeffrey said.
“Bye!, Take care.” Valerie said and Evie smiled walking out of the house.
Valerie exhaled and made to walk back to her room but Jeffrey called her.
“You still aren’t gonna talk me?” He asked and Valerie kept quiet.
“Seriously?” He asked and Valerie simply continued climbing the stairs to her room.
She entered her room and made to close the door but Jeffrey held the door, preventing her from closing the door.
“I don’t wanna talk to you.” She said calmly and Jeffrey pushed the door opened.
“Come with me.” He said and before Valerie could say a word, he grabbed her wrist and started pulling her out of the room.
Anamika who was just coming out of the kitchen with a glass of juice, stared surprisedly as they passed her.
“Whoa!, Impending drama… I can’t wait.” She giggled, before sipping her drink.
“Let go off me! Leave me!” Valerie yelled as he dragged her out.
He forced her into the his car and locked the door, then he went over to the driver’s seat.
“Where are you taking me to?” She asked, glaring hatefully at him.
“Don’t you wanna hear the truth anymore?” He asked and Valerie looked at him.
