Her eyes widened and she turned to look at him but the traffic light turned green and Fawn rode his bike away.
Valerie’s eyes widened.
“Fawn??” She muttered.

It wasn’t difficult for Valerie to spot her fake mom in the airport. A photo of the woman was sent to her and she used it in searching her.
She was already aware of the people watching her, they were three in number so she was conscious of her every step.
So when she saw the woman…
“Mom!!!” She screamed rushing to the sophisticated middle aged woman.
Her dressing alone would tell you she’s someone who has a very high fashion sense.
A confident and bold woman. She was looks like a traveller. An explorer.
She played along with a smile, receiving Valerie into the warm embrace.
“Boss, her mom arrive.” One of Jeffrey’s men said, touching his earbud as he watched Valerie who was already engaging in a conversation with her mom, and she was laughing so hard right now.
They were flowing so well, like a true mother and daughter.

“I don’t care who knew him first Sheila? Merrick is mine now. I love him so much, I can even cause havoc on earth for his sake. I can path the sea, storm the earth just for him. No one and when I say no one… I mean absolutely nobody can break us apart, not even you big sis.” Alecia said to Reyna, with a very serious look.
Reyna chuckled dryly.
“You amuse me. Fighting you is something I will not do little girl, you’re my kid sister and I will not engage in a fight with you. But you should know the big mistake you’re making by waging war with your sister.”
“I know nothing Sheila. Do… Your… Worst!” Alecia spatted on her face, counting her words and Reyna glared dangerously.
“And… Cut!!!” Director Philips said, clapping as he advanced towards them.
Alecia closed her eyes tightly in anticipation of their next words.
“You did great girl . I’m amazed.” Reyna said patting her shoulders and Alecia’s eyes shone.
“Impressive.” Jasper said, with a smirk.
“That was a very wonderful performance Alecia. You did great, than my expectation.” He said and her eyes shone.
“Really??” She asked happily and director Philip nodded.
“Yes. Leroy didn’t lie after all.” He said and she smiled.
“Thank you so much sir.” She said and director Philip chuckled.
“Thank you ma’am.” She said to Reyna with a light bow.
“C’mon, what’s with the courtesy. Just call me my name.” Reyna said and Alecia smiled.
“Thank you Reyna.” She said.
“You’re welcome girl.” She turned to director Philip.
“I and Jasper will be leaving right now boss.” Reyna said.
“Sure. Catch up on tomorrow.” He said and Reyna nodded turning to Jasper.
“Let’s go.” She said and Jasper nodded.
He winked at Alecia before leaving with Reyna.
Director Philip turned to Alecia.
“We’ll continue tomorrow.” He said and Alecia nodded.
“Thanks boss.” She said.

Fawn got home tired and simply went straight up to his room. He laid on his bed, with his eyes gazing at the ceiling.
His mind wandered to earlier in school.
“I know you don’t want this. You don’t like all this which is happening. You don’t wanna be June’s girlfriend. I know. I can give you the money, and you’ll stay away from June.” Ashley said and Fawn turned to him.
He looked dead serious.
Fawn scoffed.
“Guess you’re an eavesdropper. But if you heard me well, you’ll know I said ion like favors.” He said.
“And this isn’t me doing a favor for you. It’s a deal, an exchange for our own personal interest.” Ashley said and Fawn chuckled.
“I’m not interested.” Fawn said and made to walk away…
“I love June, so stay away from her.” Ashley suddenly said in a daring tone.
Fawn huffed and turned to him.
“Walk up to her and confess your feelings to her. That will even help me. Don’t come here to tell me, I don’t care whether you love her or not!” Fawn said and left the restroom.

“Haa…” Fawn exhaled.
“Should I take Ashley’s offer or not??” He thought.
“Fawn, food’s ready!” His mom’s voice sounded from the living room and he sighed.

Alecia walked into the house super elated. The excitement in her was too much to contend in and she felt like she was gonna explode anytime soon due to how happy she was.
The tantalizing aroma of the dish being prepared in the kitchen hit her nose and she rushed there.
She paused on her track on getting there and seeing who the chef was, it wasn’t Nora.
Leroy turned on hearing the footsteps and he smiled upon seeing her.
“You’re back?” He asked in a more of a casual tone and Alecia smiled back.
She rushed to hug him instead of replying, taking Leroy by surprise. He stood transfixed, hesitating whether to hug her back or not.
“Thank you. Thank you so much Leroy.” She whispered.
“You made my dream come true. Thank you.” She said and sniffed and Leroy raised a brow.
Was she really crying??
“Thank… you.”
“You’re crying?” He asked and as if regaining her sense, Alecia broke the hug wiping her tears.
“No, of course not. I’m just feeling a bit emotional. That’s all.” She said and Leroy nodded.
“Cool.” He only muttered and turned to the stew he was preparing.
“What are you doing?” Alecia asked.
“I believe you’re not blind.” He said and she glared at him.
“It’s not a difficult question to answer yunno.” She said with an eye roll.
“Whatever. So how was your first day at the studio.” Leroy asked and that brought a smile to her face again.
“Great. The best feeling ever.” She squealed.
“I can feel it, you look so excited.” Leroy said.
“I’m more than excited. The feeling is overwhelming.” She said, smiling broadly and Leroy only nodded his head.
He brought down the stew from the gas, using a napkin.
“Guess who I’m acting with?” She said and he rolled his eyes.
“I’m not a movie fan, so I know literally no one in the film industry.” He said and she rolled her eyes.
“Whatever. I’m acting with my two role models! The top two actors in Australia. I’m freaking out. ” She said dramatically, fanning herself with her hand.
“Jeez.” Leroy muttered.
Few minutes later…
They were eating in the dining table with Alecia talking on and on, ignoring the table manners.
“Reyna is cool, a sweet soul. I like her…” She said and Leroy only nodded, not like he was even concentrated in what she was saying, he just loves her vibes.
“Have I told you the storyline?” She suddenly asked and Leroy shook his head negatively.
“Oh… Actually, it’s a love triangle story, a complicated one at that. Two sisters for a guy, Reyna, Jasper and I.” She said and Leroy’s eyes bulged as if he just processed what she said.
“Did I just hear you say love?? A romance movie??!” He screamed in shock.
“Of course.” Alecia grinned.
“Wait, you’re gonna be acting a romance movie??” He asked and she nodded.
“Yes. Are you expecting me to act horror or something?” She asked.
“No way!” He blurted and Alecia looked at him.
“Why? Why don’t you want me to act again, it’s not like I-” She paused and looked at him.
Her eyes suddenly widened.
“Wait, don’t tell me you’re jealous now, you’re playing a possessive husband?? I thought it was a fake marriage?” She asked with a smirk and Leroy’s eyes widened when his actions came clear to him.
“Wh–hat are you saying??” He stuttered, his cheeks turning red and Alecia clapped her hands.
“Yo!! You’re blushing!” She squealed and he touched his lips, embarrassed.
“No freaking way! You’re blushing, geez!” She laughed.
“Tell me Leroy, do you love me?” She suddenly asked, and that caught Leroy off guard.
He raised a brow.
“Love you?” He scoffed.
“C’mon, don’t be shy. I’ll understand if you love me, I’m beautiful, sweet and sèxy. Who won’t love me?” She asked and Leroy bursted into laughter.
“Laugh, it’s difficult for you to accept the fact that you got swayed the very first day you saw me, so you married me instead of your bride. I understand dear, it’s not easy to accept that you fell in love at first sight, especially for a beautiful lady like me. It’s understandable.” She blabbered.
Leroy stared completely astonished.
“Who’s fooling you? Have anyone told you that your face has been pleading for a plastic surgery?? You have a face which only your mamma can love.” He said and she gritted, throwing her fork at him.
“You scum!”

“Wow. Is this where you stay?” Anamika, Valerie fake mom asked as soon as Valerie’s car stopped in front of the compound.
“It’s Zhang we’re talking about here. What do you expect??” Valerie asked, loosened her seatbelt.
Anamika did as well and got down from the car, wowing the house.
“You shouldn’t stare like that. Don’t make it obvious that you’re from the slum.” Valerie whispered behind her and the woman stepped on her toe, making Valerie yelped.
“You shouldn’t talk to me like that, you know I know your secret.” Anamika whispered and Valerie rolled her eyes.
“Let’s go.” Anamika smiled, as tho nothing happened and the two walked into the house.
“C’mon, Leo. Eat please.” Jane begged Leo who was repulsive on eating his food.
“What’s it?” Jane asked.
“When is mom coming back?” He asked and Jane kept quiet.
Valerie looked at him, he looked sad. Who wouldn’t, she knew how she loved being with her mom when she was little, she loved following her around, so she understood him very well.
She missed him the same way he missed her. Evie wasn’t even playing a good mom in anyway.
“What’s wrong Jane?” Valerie asked.
“Ma’am, he wouldn’t eat since he got back from school.” Jane said and Valerie squatted to his level.
“Baby, why don’t you wanna eat?” He asked and Leo blinked his teary eyes.
“What? Are you crying?” Valerie asked.
“My mommy. I wanna meet my mommy.” He cried and Valerie pulled him to a hug.
“C’mon baby, don’t cry. Mommy is coming for you.” Valerie assured, rubbing his back but he wouldn’t stop crying.
“Mommy…”
“Baby please don’t cry.” Valerie begged, she was slowly tearing up.
Anamika watched them with a smile. ‘the bond of a mother and child is unique. I hope you get back your son soon Valerie.’ She said inwardly as she watched them with a smile.
Valerie broke the hug, cleaning his tear with her thumb. “Don’t cry dear, big boys don’t shed tears. Okay?” She said, ruffling his hair and Leo hiccupped trying to stop crying.
“That’s the spirit.” She said.
“Now will you eat?” She asked him and he nodded.
“Good boy.” She said.
“Jane, the food.” She said and Jane handed her the food which was rice and stewed beef with scallop eggs.
“Does Leo eat scallop eggs??” She asked and Jane nodded.
“Yes, it’s his favorite.” She said and Valerie nodded.
“Alright.” Valerie said and her eyes went to Anamika.
“Please take my mom to her room.” Valerie said and Anamika sighed.
“Finally, I’m noticed.” Anamika said and Jane chuckled.
“This way ma’am.” Jane said and led the way.
Valerie sat beside Leo and began feeding him the food, without eating from it.
Leo noticed it.
When Valerie gave him a spoon again, he refused to take, instead he turned the spoon to her.
“Here.” He said and Valerie smiled eating the food.
He smiled as well.
He suddenly picked one of the scallops from the tray and gave Valerie but Valerie hesitated in taking it.
He pouted sadly and she feigned a smile before collecting it and eating.
She fed him back, and that was how they did till the food got finish. Valerie consumed three scallop eggs, when she is allergic to it.
“Thanks for the food aunt Valerie.” Leo said to her and she sneezed.
Her skin were slowly turning pale and she was beginning to feel weak. Sweat formed beads on her forehead.
She touched her throat, she was already feeling uneasy.
“Aunt Valerie, are you okay?” Leo asked worriedly.
“I’m… Fine.” She managed to say, standing on her feet with the empty tray in her hand.
She kept rubbing her neck as she sneezed continuously. Her breath was slowly hitching and she was beginning to feel dizzy.
She staggered when she made to walk and that got Leo alert.
“Aunt Valerie!” He called, rushing to hold her.
“I’m fine Leo.” She said but she was clear unsteady.
She tightened her eyes and opened it.
“I’m fine now.” She said.
Jane rushed down that minute and she gasped seeing her situation.
“Ma’am, you’re sweating profusely. What’s wrong?” Jane asked worriedly.
“Jane please… help me… look for my… EpiPen.” She said slowly.
“What! Allergy attack?!” Jane raised an alarm.
“My room please.” Valerie tapped her continuously and Jane nodded, rushing upstairs.
She took the stairs as well, to her room. She met Jane already rummaging the room.
“I can’t find it.” Jane said.
Valerie closed the door and immediately she began looking for her EpiPen.
Her immune was slowly giving away and her head felt heavy on her head as she searched the room.
She was searching profusely right now.
“Where is it? Where is it??” She muttered, breathing heavily as she rummaged the room.
“Damnit!” She cussed and staggered her way out of the room.
“Miss!” Jane called rushing after her.
“Ah!” She whimpered.
She breath was slowly leaving her, her skin had turn pale white. Her knees wobbled and she found herself, falling to the ground.
“Valerie!!!”
