King’s POV
My whole b©dy shook in horror, it was really strange and fretful, the threat was really ma-king me h0t…
The only person in my mind now is Xavier but how possible is it??
How did he even get my phone number?..what gave him the power to even threaten me??.. Ohh..I don’t even know if it was really him that s£nt the message the truth is that he is the only one I can remember to be punished by me.
I am really confused and afraid, I had bec@m£ a king for years and had never gotten such a deadly threat from anyone, I had always tried to be the best to everyone…
How would someone want to bring me down, he even said that I shouldn’t regret my past action when the consequence comes, who had I hurt in the past, the only person I can remember is Xavier…
It must be him but how powerful had he bec@m£ to threaten the king…
Who does that??..who dares the king?..something must have given him the courage…
I took a de-ep breath as I re-ad the message again and again…
I called upon the head guard and he hurried in immediately…
“Make a thorou-gh search and find the man who didn’t carry out my order to re-lease Xavier…find him and bring him to me, I nee-d to know why he left him there in the jail…” I said with myl-ips quivering showing I was really terrified..
“My lord, tell me what troubles you” Gyrus the head guard said as he saw how fretful I was.
I showed him the message and he cringed in seeing it.
“This is really serious…could it be Xavier?” He mumbled
“I don’t really know but he is my major suspect, just find the guard who went against my order to re-lease him” I breathed and he bowed and left…
“Oh god!!..this is so fearful..”
I walked down the throne and head to my room to meet my, I’m just being too afraid now, I just have the feeling that the people connected to me isn’t safe anymore…
George’s POV
I was dressed in a red tuxedo, I was looking very fresh and cute like a young bachelor..well how should I explain how my wife looks like…
Wow!!!!
I can’t st©p smiling as I admire this goddess, she was wearing a red close fitted sophisticated go-wn which really adorned her b©dy…
I can’t help drooling, she is just too gorgeous to look away…
“That your eyes is eating me, st©p looking and let’s go” she smiled and I walked up to her and took her hand…
“No guy should look at you, if any man looks at you, I’ll pluck off his eyes” he sm-irked and I sneered at him
“Are you the only one that sees a good thing?” She laughed and we both walked downstairs…
We got to the sitting room and was about heading to the door when we heard a knock…
Really???
“Who is there??” I asked and the door was opened revea-ling Julia and a guard…
“What???..you really c@m£ here?” I sneered and she stated at us with dismay…
The way we dresses really stunned her..
“Are you both going on a d@t£??” She asked and we both gave her a silence response..
“I can’t believe this!!!” She screamed
“Ohh, why did you let her in??” I asked the guard..
“She claims to be your friend, she even showed me some pictures, so I decided to bring her in..
” so why did you c@m£?” I asked Julia who was really dumb founded
“I c@m£ to see you” she said and I sneered at her and held Karina’s palm into mine..
“What should we do to her?” I asked her with a wi-de smile.
She shrugged and turned her gaze to her.
“Leave this place immediately!” She snapped with a glare..
“Are you talking to me?” Julia sneered
“If you don’t leave here, I’ll beat you up!!” She snarled with anger as she stared at Julia who laughed at her word
“You would beat me??..I see you have suddenly grow big..you must be mad to think….” Her other words was pushed back to her mouth with a h0t sl@p that landed on her cheek by Karina…
“What?????” Her eyes bulged out as she held her cheek in horror..
“You sl@pped me???” She screamed and made to charge at Karina but I stood in between immediately,
“What are you trying to do??..fight her??..” I gawped and she held her cheek sobbing, I could see it was now very reddish, it must really hurt so badly…
“George why would you…allow her…”
“Get out you are smelling!..I’ll give yo mine of you don’t leave here!!” I bawled ma-king her whimper…
“You are too disgusting .I swear!” Karina spited and slumped on the couch…
“How dare you…” She couldn’t finish her word before I got fed up and sl@pped her so ha-rd that she fell on the floor..
“I really wanted to beat you that day when you c@m£ to the h0tel but I decides to take it slowly, you then got the gut to come over…” I growled and drag her up
“George you are hurting me!!” She squeaked ma-king me more angry…
I pushed her out with full f0rç£ ma-king her fall freely outside…
I don’t care if she hits her head on the ground…
I don’t give a damn…
With full f0rç£, I slammed the door before sitting with Karina..
“She just ruined the day…aagghhr!” I gr-unted.
“We can still leave now..she can’t come and destroy our love” she smiled and pe-cked my cheek ma-king it flush a little…
“Oh yes lets go…” I said and we wra-pped our arm together as we head outside…
Julia was alre-ady fine when we c@m£ out..

“Karina is my breath in which when taken away, I’ll die” I sang with my hoarse voice ma-king her laugh out ha-rd ly…
“Where are you when God was giving sweet voice?” She asked ma-king me laugh..
“But Karina can I ever st©p repeating I love you…any time I set my eyes on you, I fall in love again…you are really the best thing that had happened to me…” I said k!ss!ngher palm
“The best man I got from a dare k!ss…who would have known that fate brou-ght that dare and gave you to me…” She blu-shed and gave me the sweetest smile I had ever seen..
We were both in the best restaurant in Monaco and hadn’t request food yet, we were still lost into each other, it seems we can’t get enough of ourselves…
We were really pouring out our emotions k!ss!ngand ma-king out the moment when something caught my attention…
I paused all I was doing and squinted my eyes to be sure I wasn’t having illusions…
My eyes popped out as I saw it was real, my heart grew heavy and I felt like I would faint as I g@sped for breath..
Someone masked had a gun pointing at Karina..
It looked so unreal and at first I couldn’t move…
I saw his f!nger sl!pinto the trigger…
He was really about to shoot Karina..he was far away from us but I was sure the gun was a snipper of a kind because I can see a red line on Karina’s b©dy…
“Karina!!” I called and she paused all she was saying and stared at me..
“plea-se can I hvg you ti-ghtly??” I smiled and held her closely to my b©dy. ..
“I love you” I mumbled covering her b©dy…
Just then, three bullet pierced into my back s£nding shrills of pain all over me, I felt weak and drained like I was about dying….
I just took the bullets for her…..

Chapter 32
George’s POV
The bullet went de-ep into my back s£nding shrills of pain all over my b©dy..
I hvgged Karina ti-ghtly trying ha-rd to bear the pain that was eating me so de-ep into my marrow..
“George!!!!” She screamed my name with her eyes wi-de-ned ..
It was a scream but it was faint in my memory…
Her eyes peered into mine and I fight ha-rd to stand as my legs wo-bbled
“I love you..” I mumbled and fell on her arm..
“Noooooooo..” I heard her voice before blacking out..
Karina’s POV
Without wasting a second, he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance van..
I couldn’t st©p my cries and wail even after he had been rushed to the hospital with an ambulance van…I can’t st©p crying…it looked so shocking to me.
The bullet was aimed at me but he took it all just to make me live..
He took the bullet as he hvgged me.. He had saw the guy pointing the gun to me and had shield my b©dy with his b©dy..
I can’t st©p crying as I wondered how he would be feeling now…the pain he would be going throu-gh all because of me..
I wish he had at least take another option than choosing to take the bullet for me..
I sat down in the car as it drove to the hospital, you can’t tell how I feels right now…fear mixed with pain…someone out there wants to kill me…
That fact alone left me shivering, who would want to kill me??..who did I wrong??
Could it be Julia??..she is the only person I have in mind, would she go to the extent of wanting to kill..
Oh god!!..
I don’t know what to think of now…
George plea-se be fine for me, I’d die if you leave me..
I sobbe-d bitterly…
We all got to the hospital and he was taken to the intensive care unit while we wait behind…

Julia’s POV
With fury I stomped into Xavier’s chamber, I am really in rage now and I feel like killing him…
“Why did you shoot at him?????” I screamed and he sneered at me as he puffed whatever he was smoking…
“Who sh0t at him???” He shrugged and I glared at him wishing I can strangle him..
“He was sh0t at, the as-sas-sin you s£nt sh0t at him!!!..why???” I bawled with tears rolling down my cheek…
I still loves Victor and I can’t imagine the pain he would be pas-sing throu-gh now!
“No one sh0t at that son of a b**h..he took the bullet for Karina” he said dryly and I arched my brow at him..
“You what me to believe that?” I scoffed and he shrugged..
“I don’t give a damn if you believe or not, my as-sas-sin aimed at Karina, he saw him and that shield her with his b©dy..” He explained ma-king my eyes wi-de-ned..
I don’t want to believe him but he has no reason to say such a lie…my anger was replaced with jealousy..how can George take a bullet for Karina?..is that how much he really love her??..

“That George the Prince really loves that girl Karina, he love her so much I must say!” He breathed and I looked at him like he had grown two head…
“He doesn’t love her!!!” I bawled in envy..
It can’t be that George is de-eply in love with her to take a bullet for her..
“So what are we going to do?” I asked and he looked at me with a sm-irk
“We aren’t killing Karina anymore, we would let the mas-s do that…” He paused and laughed.
“What are you talking about?” I asked..
“How does it sounds.. Karina sh0t at George..” He sm-irked
“I don’t really get you..” I mumbled
“You won’t un-derstand..the next news that would trend tomorrow is that Karina sh0t at George after they had a little br@wl” he said and I cringed..
“Really???”
“Yeah…no one saw the man who sh0t the bullet and one thing Karina never knew was that, a gun was dropped into her bag after the sh0t” he laughed out evily
This is really bad for her…
“George would be unconscious for weeks, I’m sure the people won’t wait for him to wake before unleashing their terror on her…” He smiled and peered at me..
“When she is gone, you can find your way in…” He said and I took a de-ep breath…
“How is all this possible??” I questioned..
“Leave it for my men..” He smiled..
“What about the c@m£ra records there??..” I asked
“The c@m£ras was st©pped at that moment…” He replied and I breathed..
“Okay then…”

Karina’s POV
It was a day since George was sh0t, I had been beside him all throu-gh yesterday, he had been unconscious with bullets alre-ady re-moved..
I’m heading to the king palace now…he called for me..
I walked slowly into the palace and I really felt something queer about the surrounding…
No one was smiling at me, they all had an angry look while some was having a look of disgust..
What is really happening…
I got inner and inner and anytime I pas-ses anyone, they would give way hastly like I was a demon of a kind…
Finally I got to the palace and there was the queen in pure tears while the king kept gro-an ing…
“My lord what is it??” I asked trying to t©uçh the queen but she pushed me away ha-rd ly…
“Don’t ever come near me you beast!!..” She cried and I felt shattered…
I looked at the king and he shook his head in disgust…
“My Lord I’m lost here..” I muffled with tears .
“Why did you shoot at George just because of a little issue??” He asked and I felt like fainting, I couldn’t believe my ears.
