THINGS YOU CAN’T SEE
EPISODE 5
The next morning Alex reminded his wife that his brother was going to come later in the day, so she should make sure to keep the house near and make something good for his brother to eat.
Anna didn’t say a word, she knew nothing she would say that would make sense to him so she just let it go.
Around 10am she decided to go do some shopping since her brother in-law who she has never met before is coming home.
AT THE GILBERT’S RESIDENT
Mr King wasn’t feeling to well to go to work, but he had to because he has an important meeting he wouldn’t want to miss…. he promised to go see a doctor after work…. he took his bathe hoping to get a little better but it got worse….. so he called Camila upstairs.
CAMILA
good morning sir…. what’s wrong sir? you don’t look healthy, is it the food I cooked? didn’t I cooked it well?
she said going down on her knees immediately like a good wife….. that got me King even more surprised from what she did the previous.
KING
can you please get up cami, we are humans and our system is bound to fall sick sometimes….. your food didn’t make me sick…. and I will appreciate it if you stop acting like a native woman
CAMILA
I’m sorry sir, but you were healthy yesterday, then after eating my food….this morning you are sick
KING
you are not the reason why I’m sick, as a matter of fact, I have seen the signs for a long time but I kept ignoring it… I guess this is the outcome.
CAMILA
you are saying this to make me feel better
KING
Camila will you please stand up?
(he said with a command)
she hesitated before she got up from the floor.
CAMILA
so, what should we do now? you nee-d any help?
KING
yeah, that’s why I called you…. I think I left my phone in the living room last night, can you get it for me? I nee-d to call my doctor to come check me
Before he could even tell her where he kept the phone, Camila was already out of the room, she ran down and ran back in with the phone…. king couldn’t hide his shock.
CAMILA
This is your phone sir
KING
(He shook his head)
I will also nee-d something to drink….. make me a cu-p of creamy coffee please.
CAMILA
(She was confused)
sir, what’s creamy coffee? is it not the normal tea we drink?
KINGS
(He was shocked)
you don’t know how to make coffee? okay but you can read right?
CAMILA
yes sir, I can read very well.
KINGS
good, go into the kitchen…. you know what? don’t worry I will manage and go do it myself.
He took his phone and called his doctor telling him he wasn’t feeling too good and his eyes were feeling dizzy…. the doctor promise to check up on him immediately.
After making the call he dropped his phone and tried to come down from the bed….. Camila wanted to give him a helping hand but he immediately stopped her, he didn’t like the idea of people touching him…..
KING
I’m not crippled cami, I can take care of myself please.
She stepped back for him to come down from the bed….. he came down and tried to have his balance because the dizziness got worse….. he took the first step, the second step, ad he was about to take the third step his eyes got blurry and he pas-sed out on the floor.
CAMILA
rich people and their stubbornness, his sick let me help him but he wouldn’t listen.
She walked closer to him, surprisingly she didn’t panick….. she sat on the floor and placed his head on her thi-ghs….. she used her hand to open his mouth slightly and brou-ght her mouth closer to him, she opened her mouth slightly too and started to inhale the fever out of his body.
She didn’t even know she could do that herself until she tried it….. she inhale out all the fever from his body and immediately went into his bathroom to exhale it into the toilet….. when she was throu-ghshe poured water into her mouth and came outside.
She tou-ched his body, his temperature had come back to normal…. she helped him to lie on the bed….. she put her two middle finger on his forehead and he woke up…. she immediately took her hand from his head before he could see it.
King woke up feeling strong, it was strange but he didn’t think it too much…. he was surprised to see Camila standing beside his bed.
KING
why are you here?
CAMILA
you called me to bring your phone for you sir….. you sisd you are feeling sick
KING
yeah, but surprisingly I’m feeling very strong and okay….. Jesus I have an appointment.
He said and jumped out of the bed to the bathroom…. Camila Chuckled slightly and left his room.
She already made beans cake and pap for breakfast and made spaghetti for lunch…..the lunch is for Jasmine that she took to school.
Soon king finished dressing and came downstairs, he was already late so he didn’t care to eat…. he asks of his daughter, Camila took him she had left for School….. he took Camila he wanted semo and white soup for lunch and left the room
As he got to his garage he heard a horn at his gate, so he asked the gate man to open up….. he patiently waited for whowever it was to drive in….. his doctor drove in…. he was surprised to see doctor Ken at his house.
KINGS
good morning doc, what a surprise visit
(he said immediately Ken parked)
KEN
Are you kidding me? you called me to come check up on you that you are not well and you are feeling dizzy.
KING
(Shocked)
I did? my maid told me that I asked her to bring my phone to call you, but I can’t remember manking the call.
KEN
you don’t even look sick…. or are you playing pranks on me?
KING
you know I’m too busy for such childish play…… I was feeling very sick earlier, suddenly I became healthy… but nevertheless, you can take my blood sample for a test so we can know if something is wrong with me.
Ken was surprised at the miraculous healing but he decided not to say anything about it.
He brou-ght out his tools and took out his blood…. immidiately king entered his car and drove away….he was already running late for his appointment.
THE BENSON’S RESIDENT
Anna made jollof rice and chicken for her husband’s guest…. she waited until she heard the sound of Alex’s car entering the compound before she started to serve their lunch….. before she could finish setting the table Alex walked in with his brother.
ANNA
welcome back
ALEX
thank you…..
Before Alex could even introduce Anna to his brother, Jordan has already pulled Anna into a hu-g… he recognized her from the wedding pictures his brother sent to him…. he was so busy then that he couldn’t come for their wedding.
Anna was surprised, she didn’t know him so why would he hu-g her like they are besties..
Jordan pulled from the hu-g and apologized, he gave her his hand for a hand shake insyead…. she reluctantly took the hand and welcomed him properly…. after the introduction she left the living room for the two brothers to bond….she went to her room.

At work kings kept thinking about how he miraculously got well … but since he couldn’t come up with ant good answer he decided to let it go.
He arounded up his meeting around 2:pm, so he decided to close for the day…. he wouldn’t have gone to work if not for the deal he had to seal.
He went to his daughter’s school and waited till she close so he could pick her home.
Immidiately Jasmine came out of her clas-s she was surprised to see her father.
JASMINE
Daddy!!!!!
(she ran to hu-g him)
KINGS
hey princess, how are you?
(he ki-ssed her forehead)
JASMINE
I’m fine daddy, but dad what are you doing here?
KING
I came to pick my princess up
JASMINE
I know but dad, I thought I told you go stop coming to pick me….. I love using the school bus so I can talk with my friends.
as she was still talking, her school crush Derrick stopped by
DERRICK
good afternoon sir….. hey jas, it’s obvious you ain’t using the bus today….so see you tomorrow
JASMINE
yeah, I can’t join you guys today…. so see you tomorrow….
DERRICK
alright…..I will call you later.
JASMINE
alright, I will be expecting your call.
DERRICK
good bye sir……bye jas.
He said and left waving them…… Mr King didn’t say anything, he just cleared his throat and his little princess laughed.
JASMINE
just spill it out already dad.
KING
what? I didn’t say nothing
(he said smiling)
He opened his car door for his daughter to enter….. she dropped her bag at the back seat and came back to seat in front with her father.
KING
so is that my future son in-law?
JASMINE
(shocked)
what? dad, Derrick is just my friend….. nothing more
KING
your eyes says something different….. it’s normal to like someone baby, but I want you to know it’s bad to start having feelings at this stage…. it would ruin your future and you know daddy wants the best for you right?
JASMINE
I know daddy, honestly Derick is just my friend…..a very good friend.
KING
always make me proud baby….
(he said and ki-ssed her forehead)
Mr King started his car and drove away…..on their way going they talked about what happened earlier…. but Jasmine said maybe her father was just day dreaming and Mr king agreed with her.
They arrived home, and the whole house was filled with aroma of the delicious soup Camila made…. Jasmin couldn’t wait to freshen up before jumping into the dinning room for her food.
JASMINE
dad this aroma is catching, I hope the meal is tasty too
KING
I hope so too….. let’s go freshen up then come back to have our lunch
JASMINE
Dad, let’s eat first….I’m so starving.
KING
alright, go and at least wash your hands
She rushed to the kitchen to wash her hands, she met Camila in the kitchen.
JASMINE
HI
CAMILA
hey madam, you are back….welcome back
JASMINE
“madam”? what happened to jas? Jasmine? I told you my name….
CAMILA
I’m sorry….. how was your day Jasmine
(she cut her short)
JASMINE
fine…. please make orange jui-ce for me
She said and washed her hands and left….. Camila immediately started sweating….she doesn’t even know how to make orange juice.
Jasmine and her father waited for Camila to serve them their lunch, she brou-ght the food and served them… as usual she didn’t go away, she stood beside them waiting for them to finish eating.
Jasmine and king ate and talked but Camila told them it was not proper to talk while eating….she said food should he respected…. they didn’t say anything till they finished their meal.
KING

CAMILA
thank you sir….. there’s more food in case ….
KINGS
I’m okay…..and I’m sure Jasmine is okay too….. right?
(he turn to look at his daughter)
JASMINE
I’m okay too…. but I want a cu-p of orange juice.
Camila immidiately went down on her knees, she didn’t know how to make it and it scare her that she might lose her job for not knowing so many stuffs
KING
I told you to stop kneeing down…..didn’t I? why are you kneeing ?
CAMILA
I came from a very poor home that we only had the opportunity to eat local food….i don’t know how to prepare all this city food… even the orange jui-ce she requested for I don’t know how to make it
JASMINE
dad what kind of a maid is this one? she can’t cook fried rice, she can’t make sandwiche, she can’t make any snacks…. dad I think you nee-d to fire her.
KING
Jas!!!!!! stop it…..Camila get up from the floor.
CAMILA
let me remain like this sir….. I have so incompetent
KING
I said you should get up
(he said with command and she got up)
CAMILA
I’m sorry sir
KING
go to your room.
Camila packed the plates to the kitchen, her whole mind was on fire….she feared that they might sack her from the job she just started….
THE BENSON’S RESIDENT
Jordan wondered why his brother’s wife would act so cold toward him….she doesn’t even know him..so why would she treat him like that…. but he wasn’t going to judge her or take it to her…. he was going to know her and un-derstand why she acted that way.
Later that evening Alex received a call from someone to come out….. he took his bathe and left…. he wanted to inform his brother he was going out but Jordan was sleeping….. few minutes after he left Jordan woke up from sleep….si he decided to take a tour around the whole house…. he saw Anna in the living room, she was talking to someone on the phone….. He stood behind her and waited for her to finish making her call….but that never happened because she was on a long call…. Anna felt like someone was standing behind her so she turn to look, yes she was right….her brother inlaw was standing right there.
ANNA
what do you want?
JORDAN
hey….. I ….
ANNA
I’m sorry, that didn’t come out right…please seat down.
JORDAN
(He sat down)
You don’t seem to like me….. did I do anything to offend you? if it’s because I didn’t come for your wedding I’m so sorry okay…i was so busy with my masters that I couldn’t come.
ANNA
I’m not angry with you …… I’m just not in the good mood…. if you will please excuse me
she said and got up to leave…. Jordan wanted to say something but kicked against it… he looked around wondering why his brother is not anywhere in sight…. he called Alex but Alex didn’t pick …he was busy enjoying himself.
Anna went back into her room and continued her call…..she was on the phone with someone she just met on Facebook…. she isn’t cheating on Alex but she has a close friend that she tells almost everything that happens in her life and the man would advise her.
After talking for a while she hung up to go make dinner for her husband’s visitor…. she knows that no matter how well she cooked the food her husband would never eat it
