EPISODE 9
That very day some people came to the shop of the guy that cheated Camila to transfer some money…. they transferred about five hundred thousand naira…. at first he didn’t want to accept the transfer because it was too and too risky to hold such amount with him….but his greed came to light again, he wanted to do it so he could keep the extra change for himself…. he counted the cash and did the transfer for the guys….. they paid for their charges and left.
They entered their car and drove away, he immediately arrange the money to take it to his boss other shop….. before he could finish arranging the money his boss called him asking why such hu-ge amount was taken from his account…. he told him to immidiately bring the money.
He agreed and dropped the phone, he packed all the money and entered a bike that took him to his boss shop.
At the shop the guy brou-ght out the bundle of money onlt to make the shock of his life…. all the one thousand naira note had turn to five naira notes
CHUKWUDI
where is the money you want to give to me? you this boy I have told you to stop making transfer that is more than a hundred thousand.
JOHN
sir, I don’t un-derstand…. this is the money the guys gave to me just now
CHUKWUDI
what do you mean this is? you told me on the phone that the money was with you…so what are you saying?
JOHN
I’m confuse too sir, I counted the money, it was complete….I don’t un-derstand how it turn to five naira sir
Chukwudi started to laugh, he wanted to believe that John was playing prank on him…. so after laughing for a while he told John
CHUKWUDI
you are very funny, when you stop working for me to should consider doing comedy…. your joke is funny, but now let’s talk about business…..where is my money?
(he said with all seriousness)
JOHN
(crying)
sir, I think we have been scammed
CHUKWUDI
it is your father that they have scammed…. I warned you never to make a transaction that is more than a hundred thousand but you went against my order…. you have plans…. I’m giving you just five minutes to produce my money or else.
JOHN
sir, I’m innocent of this accusation….. I too don’t un-derstand how it happened…lease you have to believe me.
oga chukwudi did not talk to him, he took his phone and called the market security to come arrest John until his family comes to pay his money or he takes him to court.
AT THE BENSON’S RESIDENT
Alex came back from work and met his brother in the living rooom, he looked around for his wife but she wasn’t there.
JORDAN
welcome back bro, how was work today?
ALEX
work was fine…. it’s high time you join me at dad’s company, I don’t know what you seat all day doing at home
JORDAN
I told you that is not my dream, I have my own dreams… I’m a model and I enjoy what I do okay.
ALEX
I don’t un-derstand joran, did yo go to school just to become a model?
JORDAN
maybe…. common bro, let’s not argue about this, we already talked about it
ALEX
make use of your life Jordan
JORDAN
I’m not a Nigeria model bro, I model for the biggest company in London and my salary is way bigger than what some CEO earn in a year…. you know I’m capable…. so what’s the fuss about running dad’s company for
ALEX
it seems like you are already getting angry, it’s okay….its your life….. where is Anna?
JORDAN
she’s in the kitchen
ALEX

He said and turn to go upstairs, Jordan was shocked, he thought his brother asked of his wife so he could go meet her but he turn and was going up to his room.
That was when he decided to put one plus one together….since he arrived they have not sat on the same table to eat…. in fact he hadn’t seen his brother ate food prepared by his wife and he calls her by name instead of “my wife” “sweetheart” or any pet name.
He put it in his heart to ask Anna about it later.
Anna came into the living room to meet him
ANNA
dinner is ready, you can go and eat
JORDAN
I’m eating alone? my brother is back so I will wait for him.
ANNA
(she chuckled)
your brother? oh okay…. you can wait for him.
she said and started to talk away but Jordan stopped her with his voice
JORDAN
are you guys having problems?
he got up to meet her at the place she stood, Anna turn to look at him.
ANNA
how do you mean?
JORDAN
I’m not a child Anna, I can’t continue to pretend like I don’t know what has been happening….. starting from the moment I entered this house, I was welcomed with coldness, you and my brother were so cold to each other.
ANNA
I don’t know what you are talking about, your brother and I are fine.
JORDAN
okay, if you guys are fine…. prove it, go upstairs and tell him dinner is ready, bring him downstairs to eat with us like a family.
ANNA
I don’t know what point you are trying to prove, but whatever it is leave me out of it….. excuse me.
She said and ran upstairs, Jordan was in total shock but he got one point right…..his brother is not in a good place with his wife.
He went to the dinning and ate his dinner, he went upstairs and took his bathe, came downstairs and saw that Anna had not tou-ched her own food, he carried the food to her room upstairs…. he knockknocked slightly at the door and she came to open the door
ANNA
Jordan? what do you want?
JORDAN
I’m sorry if I crossed the line by meddling into your affairs….. please forgive me
ANNA
I’m not angry at you….. I’m feeling sleepy and I want to go to bed now.
JORDAN
Not without eating, I brou-ght food for you.
ANNA
I already lost my appetite…..
JORDAN
Anna can we be friends? I don’t like the way things are going between us.
ANNA
there’s nothing going on between us Jordan, and I don’t have anything to say to you.
she entered her room and locked the door, Jordan took the food back to the kitchen and returned back to his room.
THE GILBERT’S RESIDENT
the next morning Camila woke up to meet her boss in the kitchen making breakfast…she was surprised to see him there.
CAMILA
good morning sir
KING
good morning, wash your hands and join me.
CAMILA
sir you are cooking? does it mean you are going to sack me?
KING
yes
CAMILA
sir?
(she said with her eyes wide open)
KING
(he chuckled)
common I’m just kidding, since I’m not going to work today I decided to help you in the kitchen…. beside Jasmine misses my food.
CAMILA
(She took a de-ep breath)
thank God
she quickly ran and washed her hands and joined him in baking

king taught Camila how to make pancakes, since she’s a very smart person she learnt it and was confident to do it very well herself next time.
She served the breakfast on the dinning and went upstairs to call Jasmine to come down for her breakfast….on her way she met Jasmine coming down from her room
JASMINE
good morning
CAMILA
good morning, I was just coming to inform you that breakfast is ready.
JASMINE
Why didn’t you wake me up? my bus will arrive soon, I don’t think I can have breakfast
she said running downstairs and Calling her dad….. king came out from the kitchen to answer his daughter
KING
I’m right here baby
JASMINE
(she entered the kitchen and hu-gged her dad)
good morning daddy
KING
morning princess, how are you?
JASMINE
I’m fine dad, how are you?
KING
daddy is fine
(he ki-ssed her forehead)
JASMINE
you cooked?
KING
yes, I decided to make something for my princess this morning.
JASMINE
that’s nice but I don’t think I can eat dad, I’m already late
KING
(He held a sad face)
but I made this specially for you
JASMINE
I know, okay you know what? you can just package it for me….i will share it with my friends in the bus
KING
your friends huh?
(he said and rolled his eyes)
Jasmine chuckled un-derstanding what he meant
JASMINE
food daddy, I’m already late
KING
all right, Camila please help her to pack her meal…. I nee-d to go freshen up…. baby do have a lovely day at school alright?
JASMINE
I sure would do…love you

love you more my princess.
He ki-ssed her on the cheeks before he went out of the kitchen….. Jasmine went to seat in the dinning room waiting for Camila to bring her breakfast.
Later that day king called Camila to the living room and asked her to seat down.
He gave Camila his laptop and sat very close to her but in a way his body wasn’t touching hers
CAMILA
what I’m I suppose to do with this sir?
KING
you are going to have an online course on how to cook….. not like we don’t enjoy your meals, we do but not all the time we want to be fed with local dishes….. my child is more of whitees if you know what I mean…. she ha-rdly eat all this loc dishes…. so I wouldn’t want her to start losing weight because she’s not feeding well.
CAMILA
I’m ready to learn sir….
King searched for the best online course for her and registered her….he added his account and he was immediately debited for the fees.
KING
Your registration is done, you can now start the course by tomorrow.
CAMILA
so I can keep your laptop?
KING
you can’t keep my laptop, it has my work stuffs in it….where is your phone? you can always use your phone….not necessarily you use laptop
CAMILA
I don’t have a phone sir
KING
yeah, yeah I think I remember hearing your said that the day you came that you don’t have a phone….. okay, don’t worry later this evening I will take you out to get a small phone.
CAMILA
(She knelt down)
thank you so much sir
KING
do I nee-d to get angry with yo before you stop kneeling for me? please get up….. I’m starving I nee-d food.
CAMILA
(She got up)
what will youkke to eat sir?
KING
I don’t know, maybe beans and plantain, do you think you can do that?
CAMILA
of course, I can do it
she got up and rushed to the kitchen happily to prepare lunch for king.
AT THE BENSON’S RESIDENT
Jordan didn’t come out from his room all day, his brother too didn’t check up on him before going to work…. Anna made breakfast and kept on the dinning hoping once Jordan comes downstairs he will see the food and eat it….. but she was shocked when she came downstairs to prepare lunch oy to see that the food hasn’t been tou-ched.
She ignored Jordan and cleared the table, she made lunch and kept on the dinning tabke… this time she felt bad for making the poor boy skip breakfast so she went to his door to knock.
JORDAN
whoever it is should come in
Jordan was playing music with his laptop while he was pressing it doing other stuffs…. when he saw that it was his brother wife he immediately dropped his laptop and came down from his bed.
ANNA
hey
JORDAN
Hi
ANNA
you didn’t eat your breakfast
JORDAN
I wasn’t hungry
(he said with a straight face)
ANNA
okay…. I guess you will be hungry now, I made semo and white soup….. so let’s go eat.
JORDAN
thanks but I’m still not hungry, you can go eat alone.
He said and went back to his bed and carried his laptop….. Anna turned and started to walk to the door, she held the door handle and turned back to look at Jordan
ANNA
If you are mad at me because of the way I reacted yesterday, I’m sorry…… I truly am.
She said and pulled the door, Jordan immediately jumped from his bed and grabbed her arms before she could go outside.
JORDAN
I can’t pretend Anna, I know something is wrong….. why wouldn’t you just open up to me? is my brother treating you bad? I could talk to him if you want me to
ANNA
I don’t like discussing about my marriage, your brother and I are fine.
JORDAN
I’m I a stranger in this house? this person we are talking about is my only brother, if his not being fair to you, just tell me
ANNA
I honestly do not know what you want me to tell you, if you feel something is wrong which I’m telling you nothing is wrong….you can ask your brother and leave me out of it.
she removed her hand from Jordan’s grip and walked away….. Jordan could see the lies in her eyes, he could see how hurt she is yet pretending to be fine…. he made up his mind to speak to his brother once he came back from work.
LATER THAT EVENING
alex came back from work so Anna went to welcome him, she didn’t want Jordan to feel his as-sumption are correct…. she ran into alex’s arm to welcome him but Alex pushed her away immidiately that she lost her balance and fell down.
ALEX
how dare you touch me with that dirty thing you call a body?
Jordan was coming downstairs from his room so he saw what happened….
JORDAN
common bro, that was mean, whasy wrong for a wife to welcome her husband who has been out all day?
ALEX
stay out of this okay?
(he yelled at his brother)
Anna felt embarras-sed so she got up from the floor and ran pas-sed Jordan to her room… Alex hissed and ran upstairs to his room too.
Jordan immediately ran after his brother, that discussion he was planning to have with his brother, he would rather have it now.
Alex dropped his bag on the small mini sofa and sat down to take off his shoes when Jordan barged into his room looking very angry and disappointed
