Danica’s Pov:
My heart skipped immediately.
What problem is she talking about?
“Wh…What is it, Nana?” I asked anxiously and she pushed the door open and walked in.
“The results are out” she said in de-ep breath.
“The results for the scholarsh!pexams you took”.
My eyes dilated as i g@sped and covered my mouth in shock.
Whaaaat???
Thank goodness granny wasn’t around.
“Oh my…Oh my God! Did you check for my name? Was….Was my name there?” I asked, my eyes beaming.
And she nodded.
Oh my God!!
“My name was there???” I squealed.
“Yes. I’d have printed it out for you but…”
I turned around and bit my nails.
Oh God! My name was there?? Meaning….I just gained a scholarsh!pinto the Royal High School?
“You….didn’t tell your grandma about it, did you?” She asked and I shook my head negatively and turned to look at her.
“I…I nee-d to see it for myself. I nee-d to print it out. Take me there” I told her and she nodded and we left the house together.

Nathan’s Pov:
“So…you’re as-suring me he’s going to be fine?” Mum asked the doctor as they stood in the room with me.
“Yes, your highness. It wasn’t critical. Besides, someone else alre-ady treated him before he was brou-ght here to the hospital. So, the person was helpful” the replied and my mind quic-kly drifted to the strange lady.
It left a sting in my che-st that I didn’t know her.
“Okay doctor. If you say so. Thank you so much” mum said.
“You’re welcome, your highness. I’ll be in my office in case you nee-d something else”.
“Of course. Thanks”.
And he left.
Mum sighed and c@m£ to sit on the edge of the be-d.
“How’re you feeling son?” She asked calmly, her hand on my hair.
“I feel a lot better. You don’t nee-d to worry” I replied.
But that look of perturbance didn’t leave her face.
“Did
re-ad more stories or post your stories @:- Pizarena.com
you see who $tabbe-d you? Could you recognize any of them?” She asked and I shook my head sideways.
“Those guys were just hoodlums, mum. They were only paid to do whatever they did. There’s a master mind behind it” I replied and she frowned.
“But who would make such an attempt
on you? For what reason??
“Ah! I wish we could find him. I just wish we could find the monster behind it. I’ll personally make sure he pays with his life”. She said angrily.
I didn’t say anything to that, but slowly reached for my pocket and brou-ght out the br@celet.
“The lady that saved me….this belongs to her” I said fraily, holding the br@celet up.
Mum stared quietly.
“I nee-d find her, mum. I…I just wanna know who she is. And perhaps, she might have an idea on what happened to me”.
“But…you said she’d ran away, right?” She asked.
“Yes. I think she was
just being scared or shy or something. But, I still nee-d to find her. I think this is her name” I stated, staring at the letters – DAN.
“So….how do you intend finding her exactly? What will you do?” She asked and for a moment, I was silent.
Thinking.
“I’ll put it up on media. I’ll let her know I’m looking for her”. I replied and her eyes beamed.
“Are you sure? You really want to do that? She asked and I fixed my eyes on the br@celet and nodded.

Danica’s Pov:
My eyes were glued to the paper as I walked out of the cafe with Nana.
My heart beat ra-pidly. something that should be a thing of joy to me was now a thing of torment.
I really pas-sed the exams. I just gained scholarsh!pinto the Royal High School. I had a possibility of going to school again.
But mum…
She was never going to cons£nt to it. I seriously don’t get why she hates the Royal family that much. And I know she’s never going to let me school there.
She won’t.
“What are you going to do, Dan?” Nana asked and we st©pped walking to face each other.
“I really don’t know, Nana. I’m…I’m confused” I said with a glum look, staring down at the paper.
“I really want to go to school. I don’t wanna be one of these ladies who end up learning trade for the rest of their lives. I want to live a better life, Nana. I want to go to school
“Grandma can’t afford my fees. And at the same time, she’d never let me gr-ab this opportunity of schooling on scholarsh!p. She’d never let me go to the Royal High school” I replied sadly and Nana was speechless for a few seconds.
“Ahh! But why doesn’t she like the
Royal family, huh? What could he reason be?” She asked, ma-king me wish I had an answer to that question.
I sighed and folded the paper, fixing it into my back pocket.
“I nee-d to hurry home now. Its getting late” I told her, even if the sky was still very bright.
“Okay, then. Mum s£nt me on another errand. Bye” she replied.
“Bye”.
And she went her way, while I boarded a cab home.

Getting home, I discovered the door was opened.
Huh? Is grandma home alre-ady??
I hastened my steps and walked pas-s the door, to the sitting room.
And I was shocked when I found her there.
Wasn’t she a bit early?
“Granny?” I called, but she didn’t spare ma glance as she focused on what she was doing.
Whaaat???
The first aid box!!!
Oh my God!!!
I’d forgotten to return it to her room.
“Did you make use of this, Danica?” She looked at me and asked.
“Why am I finding bl©©d stains on it?”

Danica’s Pov:
I felt my heart skip as she stared at me, beady eyed.
Oh God!
How could I so be careless? What do I say??
“Danica?” She called and I jo-lted out of my thoughts, looking for a quic-k lie.
“Um….its Nana, granny. She…actually had a cut on her f!nger and asked me to use the first aid kit on her. Sorry, I forgot to clean it up. I’ll do that right away” I said nervously, trying as much as possible to hide it.
I moved to the table so I could pick it up..
“How was work today, granny?” I asked
“Ah! It was a bit stressful. But I’m fine now” she replied with a nod and I smiled and picked up the box.
I was about leaving when she suddenly gr!pp£dmy wrist.
I looked at her and there was a stunned expression there.
“Where’s your br@celet, Danica??” She asked, alarmed.
Oh my! This is it!
I’m doomed.
I felt a leap in my heart as she asked that question and I slowly bit myl-ip.
“Um….I’m….I’m so sorry, granny. I…I misplaced it” I stuttered, fixing my eyes on the floor.
“You what???” She skrie-ked.
Oh God! plea-se, don’t tell me she’s angry
“Are you being serious, Danica?? You lost your br@celet?? Why? I mean..how?”
“Um….I’m sorry. Nana and I had almost gotten into a fight with someone. So…I think it must’ve fallen off during that period” I lied again
“Danica. How could you be so carless? That br@celet has been with you for years. Why lost it all of a sudden?”
I didn’t say a word, but just bent my head in res£ntment.
“Seriously” She mumbled and walked away, while I watched her.
G©sh! Now, I feel so bad
And….scared.
Could the prince be with the br@celet?

Bitna’s Pov:
“So, you mean she actually snubbe-d you?” Hana asked as she accompanied me to my car with Jeong.
The school had actually come to a close for the day and I just couldn’t wait to get home and have enough rest.
“That Mabel is becoming a bch huh? What? Is she the only princess or what? Or because she’s Nathan’s only sister, she takes it as a pride??” Jeong asked, clearly upset.
I just sighed despondently.
“I don’t know, girls. I don’t know what’s wrong with her. I’ve tried all I could to make her my friend, but…”
I paused and shrugged.
“Anyway” I continued.
“I’m still going to find my way around him, with it without her help. As a matter of fact, I think I alre-ady have a plan… For the banquet”.
A smile crept into my fact as the idea niggled at me.
But my beatific smile was interrupted by the pres£nce of….
“Isn’t that your mum?” Hana asked and I looked at the direction she had pointed and found mum standing beside her car.
Huh???
She was far from me, and kept scouring her eyes around, probably looking for me.
“I think she’s waiting for you” Hana said, but I didn’t respond.
Why would mum come here?
“G©sh! Your mother’s so beautiful, Bitna” Jeong said dreamily.
“Just look at her eyes. I wish you looked like her, Bitna. It’d have been so much better”.
I rolled my eyes at that.
I wonder why people say we don’t look alike. .
I don’t look like mum, I don’t look like dad;
No one.
G©sh! Whatever. I’m still beautiful.
She finally saw and seemed to breath out in relief.
“I…I’ll see you later, girls. nee-d to go now” I told them as I started walking away..
“Bye Bitna…”
“Bye girl…”
I got to where mum was, a frown on my face.
“What’re you doing here, mum?” I asked grumpily.
But she smiled.
“I decided to surprise you by coming to pick you up myself” she replied and I scoffed. .
“Seriously? Is this a joke or what? You c@m£ to pick me up? Have you been fired from the company or something?” I asked sarcastically.
“Bitna..come on” she hushed.
“Don’t tell me you’re still mad at me. I apologized, huh?”
I looked away and she held my hand. .
“Come on, baby. You know I love you. I’m sorry for not keeping to my promise last night. I’ll…I’ll try my best from now on. Just st©p being mad at me, okay?” She cooed and I was f0rç£d to look at her.
She looked really sorry and….I smiled.
“It’s okay, mum. I’ve heard you” I said lightly and her face crinkled up in smiles.
“Now, that’s my baby. Come on; I have a little surprise for you. Get into the car” she tilted her head and my eyes beamed as I rushed to the other side of the car to open the door.
I loved surprises.

Danica’s Pov:
Granny and I had dinner when it was time and after eating, I took my bath and la-id on my be-d to sleep.
The lights were off and the room – dark.
But as I la-id and stared upwards, I could still have a glimpse of the ceiling.
My mind reflected to the previous incidences.
First, the scholarsh!presults.
I still couldn’t believe an opportunity was staring at me in the face, but I was scared to gr-ab it. I couldn’t even tell granny about it because she’d warned me not to sit for the scholarsh!pexams when the forms were newly out.
Royal high is a place for high dignities and they only give out scholarsh!ps once in. a blue moon.
They pick just 10 students – 10 out of the umpteen number that’d definitely apply.
When I’d gotten to know about it, I told granny I wanted to sit for the exams, but she scolded me, telling me to get it off my mind as long as it pertained to the Royal family. I’d tried convincing her, but she wouldn’t listen
But being determinant, I had to go against her rule and secretly wrote the exams, just as a means of trial. I didn’t really think I’d pas-s.
But yeah….I just did and now, its h’ll of a problem.
How do I tell her about it? I really wanted to go to school.
I sighed and changed position on the be-d, lying sideways.
Then, I thought of him – the prince.
Remembering how I t©uçhed and treated his wounds s£nt cold chills down my spine. And when he’d woken up, opened his eyes to look at me. G©sh! The moment was undescribable.
He was so handsome. Its no wonder most companies use him as their br@nd ambas-sadors. That guy himself is a wonder.
A smile lingered on myl-ips as I thought of him.
Oh! It wasn’t a dream. How I wish I could see him again. Or t©uçh him again.
Hmph. What am I even thinking?
I giggled to myself.
Getting to t©uçh the prince today was a golden opportunity and I wished I’d been able to stay a little bit longer….talk to him…hear what he had to say.
Gosh! That moment he held my wrist. I’d never forget.
And my br@celet! Hah!
I wonder where it could be.

Nathan’s Pov:
I la-id quietly on the be-d, keeping myself busy with a game from my phone when suddenly, the door opened with Mabel coming in.
“I’ve told you to always knock, Mab” I said casually and she smiled.
She had a glas-s of milk with her.
“Sorry, big brother. But I know you don’t have a girlfriend. So, there’s no way you’ll be doing something forbidden in your room” she said sarcastically and I chuckled as she c@m£ closer to the be-d and sat on it.
“Here. I made you a glas-s of milk” she held out the glas-s to me and I stared at it for a while before receiving it.
“Thanks doll” I win-ked at her and gulped from the glas-s.
Hmm. Guess I nee-ded this.
We didn’t say a word as I gulped down the milk. And she tried taking my phone from me.
“Hey; what do you think you’re doing?” I snapped and withdrew my phone from her.
“Hello?? I’m not trying to poke nose okay?? I just want to pl@ygames” she grumbled.
“You have two l@pt©ps, Mabel. And three phones. You can pl@yas much as you want with them. But leave mine out of it” I said strictly and she rolled her eyes with a frown.
“Whatever” she mumbled.
I continued drinking from the glas-s of milk, and she stretched out her hand to where I’d kept the missing br@celet and took it up.
“This belongs to the lady that saved you, right?” She asked, staring and tou-ching the br@celet
“Yeah” I muttered and operated my phone.
Suddenly, her brows arched.
“I think….this looks much familiar”
I looked up at her immediately.
“Familiar?” I asked.
“How?”
“I…I don’t really know but…I’m very sure I’ve seen this on someone’s wrists before – recently. It looks so familiar” she said, her brows still arching, probably trying to remember.
“Who’s it? And where?” I asked curiously and she shook her head after a while.
“I…I can’t….I can’t really place it but, I’m very sure I’ve seen this on someone’s wrists before”.
