EPISODE 5
Brina stayed in her maternal family’s mansion till evening taking care of her grandmother. She is only loved and cared for by her grandmother and youngest cousin brother. The rest of the family does not favor her. In fact, they hate her and honestly, they never treated her like a family member.
It is all because of the reason that they don’t like her father who was a mere employee in their company.
Her father, George Parker, has worked here for almost one year before eloping with her mother, Jennifer Russell.
Brina’s uncle, cousin sister, and first cousin brother are known for their cunning motives.
They often scheme against her just to snatch away her mother’s only properties that were left behind. Her grandfather has always been neutral and he mostly prefers to avoid her.
Though he is aware of what his son and his stupid children were planning to do, he has always opted to stay quiet and go blind eye.
Due to this very reason, Brina never felt any affection towards her grandfather. If she has someone she cares for in this family, it is her grandmother and her younger cousin.
So, after bidding her farewell to her sick grandmother and her younger cousin brother, Brina left the mansion.
However, she didn’t go back to her apa-rtment. She took another road and drove to the small town which was just one hour from her grandparents’ place.
Stopping by in the middle of her journey, Brina bought a handful of toys, snacks, and fruits from the depa-rtment sto-re.
Later, she went to the small clothing shop and collected the bunch of clothes which she ordered the previous week.
After finishing her little shopping and filling her car with various items, she reached the orphanage which is one of the very few places where she feels home and peace.
This orphanage is funded by Grace Organization which was actually started by her mother when she was a successful business woman.
But after her demise, her mother’s friend took the responsibility and the orphanage is now in care of her mother’s friend, Uncle Tom.
He is one of the dearest family to Brina. He really cares for her like his own daughter.

After a few minutes of journey, she arrived at the hu-ge orphanage and her uncle Tom was already waiting for her.
“Brina, you are here! The children are missing you, kid.” Uncle Tom lovingly said as soon as he saw her coming inside.
Like always, she used quite an amount of sum from her monthly salary in buying esse-ntials for the kids.
Excluding this, she even donated half of her salary to the organization to help the children to un-dergo various surgeries and also to meet their basic requirements.
Brina is like an angel to the kids, filling their poor, lonely hearts with hope and happiness.
“Even, I am missing the kid’s uncle, it’s just that I was so busy and couldn’t come.” Brina told Uncle Tom and greeted him by giving a hu-g.
“I un-derstand, But I am more worried about you, more than anyone else. These children have you, me, and this organization to look after them. But, what about you? When will you find someone who will cherish you for the rest of your life?” Uncle Tom asked.
“You even overexert your b©dyand mind. There should be someone who will take care of you… But you always opt to remain alone…” He muttered in concern.
And, as soon as Brina heard him, her heart suddenly started feeling heavy with all the unpleasant and disastrous memories of her past. Her eyes lost their usual life and charm, replacing those with melancholy and distress.
However, her Uncle Tom didn’t fail to notice the sudden change in her. He regretted bringing this matter again.
He sighed and patted her head.
“It’s all right kid. Take your own time. I know that these scars in your heart are tough to heal. But, it’s time to move on Brina! You can’t drown in your past like this. So, please do find a person who can truly treasure you.” Uncle Tom said.
Brina couldn’t help but remember Louis Cruz whom she met last night. A smile etched on her face as she reminisced about the carefree and peaceful time they had together.
“I will try uncle. All I want is a simple life with a normal and ordinary person. But, prior to this I must make sure that my maternal uncle and his greedy family don’t get their hands on this organization. If they succeed, this orphanage will crumble down to earth and many children will become homeless again.” Brina said.
As she remembered about the pressing matters at hand, her eyes turned cold and chilly while her voice hinted venomous and undying determination.
“I have high hopes for you, kid. Even at worse conditions, we can-” Brina interjected Uncle Tan as she shook her head sideways.
“No chance, Uncle Tom. I won’t do that.” Brina sternly said
“For now, let’s not talk about this and concentrate on helping these kids. By the way, how is Will? Had he shown any signs of improvement?”
“No.” Uncle Tom coughed and sighed. His eyes turned painful and sad when he looked at Brina’s disappointed face.
“No, Brina. He has been in the same condition since the day of your previous visit. That kid has a weak heart that the doctors are unsure whether to proceed further. However, they are trying their best. Don’t fret” Uncle Tom comforted her, but didn’t give her any false hopes.
Brina sighed. “It’s been two years since he was in a coma. That kid went throu-gha lot by now. Many surgeries, operations… How can his small heart take any more than this?”
Not only Will. But there were many children of his age who were facing some situations.
And, Brina wants to help everyone. She has acquired her mother’s kind heart that she couldn’t help but worry about with these orphaned kids.
Later, she went inside the orphanage, not even aware that her single encounter with Louis Cruz will make all her dreams come true.
He will be her support, her strength… Giving her the courage and strength to work against all odds.

Louis Cruz spent the rest of the afternoon on the cruise with other socialites and delegates.
Though he doesn’t like interacting with all these fake people, it is really inevitable to avoid them either.
So, he just showed his face to everyone and went back as soon as his chopper landed.
He directly went back to his new penthouse and as soon as he entered, he sighed seeing a certain someone sitting on his favorite chair – a girl in her crop top and denim jeans is sitting on his chair with her leg crossed over her ankle. She has a pink champagne glwi-nk in one of her hands while she has a file on her other hand.
She was twirling her chair slightly as she continued to look at the file.
Louis gritted his teeth and sighed.
“What are you doing here? Don’t you have any common se-nse that you should not barge into others’ houses when no one is prese-nt?” He asked as he yanked away the file from her hand.
With the for-ce he exerted, the file sl-ipped from his hand and many photos of him with Brina during the previous night fell on the floor.
As soon as Louis saw them, his eyes turned chilly and glared at the woman who just got caught red handedly while spying on him.
“What Louis? Can’t I come to your house, my soon-to-be fiancé?” She asked as she was getting closer to him.
“Charlotte!” Louis seethed.
“Didn’t you get the news Louis? Your parents and my parents are even discussing where to get us engaged!” She hissed in return.
“Is that so? And you are telling me this… You came all the way here and barged inside my house. Not to mention how you are spying my private life now!”
“You know that I am not interested in you right, Louis? We should do something… damn!”
“Oh, should I? Now, you are the reason why they want to engage us, you idiot! So, you must be the one to stop it.”
Charlotte sighed and rolled her eyes. She smi-rked as soon as her eyes squinted at the photos which fell on the floor.
She bent down and took a picture which was when Louis was carrying Brina to her room in princess style.
“It seems you are now smitten to this lady. I had never seen you this inti-mate with anyone… Especially women. What’s on your mind, Louis?!” she asked, sm-irking at him. .
Her eyes are still on the beautiful lady in the photo. “She is stunningly beautiful and undeniably s-xy. Hmm…How do you feel about having a competition?” she asked, wi-nking mischievously.
“You dare!” Louis shouted. “Don’t you dare take a liking on my woman, Charlotte!”
“Your woman?” Charlotte asked with wi-de eyes. Later, her eyes started to twi-nkle.
“You are really serious about her, aren’t you? You are in love with her!” Charlotte started squealing and in that excitement she jumped on to Louis and he couldn’t do anything but hold her from falling down.
This is how their simple and pure friendship took the route of getting engaged. Their parents saw them when Charlotte jumped on to him resulting in both of them to fall into the water.
Their parents thought that their children are in love and without their conse-nt, they decided to get these both engaged.
What no one knows is that Charlotte is not into men but into women. She is a les-bian and it is still a secret that is only known to Charlotte’s twin brother, Calvin and their best friend, who is none other than Louis here.
Even her twin brother Calvin is a homo and this is also a secret between these three.
“Oh god! Louis, we have a crush on the same girl!” Charlotte squealed while Louis tried his best not to lose his balance because of her midair dance.
But, as soon as he heard those words, he mercilessly stopped himself from carrying her and she suddenly fell on the floor with a loud ‘thud’.
“Idiot.” Charlotte hissed as she stood up with her hands on her hips. She pouted but when she looked at his stern face and blinked her eyes adorably.
“Already possessive!” She commented as she mwi-nkaged her bu-tt.
However Louis didn’t comment. Even he is surprised by this.
Calling Brina as ‘my woman’ without even thinking, and getting jealous when Charlotte told them that they share the same crush… These feelings are unfamiliar to him.
He was never like this. It seems that this woman, Brina, made it into his heart.
Charlotte chuckled seeing the dazed expression on Louis’ face. As much as she liked Brina, she values brotherhood between them the most.
For Louis’s love she will sacrifice her crush on Brina. And, moreover, she was just teasing her best friend till now. She can clearly see that Louis likes this Brina girl.
“Louis, will you make a move or should I make my move on our chick? Don’t blame me if she falls for me alright.” Charlotte tea-sed as she li-cked her l-ips, making him jealous right away.
To make it worse, she even ki$$ed Brina’s l-ips on the picture. “She is surely irresistible, Louis. Truly gorgeous and s-xy.” She said abse-ntmindedly, making Louis glare at her.
If glares can kill a person, Charlotte would have been cold-bloodedly murdered then and there.
He gra-bbe-d the photo from Charlotte and retrieved every photo from the floor before placing them in his study table.
“Brina will be coming for an interview tomorrow, and you, Charlotte will be going back to our country tonight. un-derstood?” Louis sternly said.
He would prevent his competition from getting near his girl. This Charlotte is really capable of doing whatever she de-sires to.
“I am not going back, Louis. Did I forget to mention that big brother se-nt me here to work together with you, as your personal secretary and also as the vice president?” Charlotte wi-nked.
