EPISODE 4
As the sun poured throu-ghthe window, bathing the room with warm light, Brina woke up light-headed and dazed.
The effect of hangover is slightly lingering in her b©dy, and her headache made it worse. All she wanted now is to sleep, however, she has many errands to run today.
Above all, she wanted to escape this cruise and search for a job for herself before Tanya could contact her to ask her about her opinion.
She vaguely remembers what happened last night.
She remembered getting ki-ssed by a handsome man and when she reminisced about it, she couldn’t help her smile. It felt really special and she really enjoyed it.
But getting ki-ssed was the last thing she remembers properly. The remaining p@rt was totally blurred with vague images.
However, no one could blame her. After sharing that mind bl-owing ki-ss and drinking one of the powerful wines, Brina’s mind went haywire that she couldn’t think straight.
She actually ki-ssed a stranger!!
She was never like this! She ba-rely let others get close to her… let alone, ki-ss her.
And, she has never let her guards down, especially in front of a stranger. However, this man, he is totally an exception.
Brina clutched her head and gro-an ed a little in pain. The first thing she did is to check her clothes out. She is dressed in the same p@rty dress and it seems like her handsome ‘friend’ carried her to her room and left.
‘A gentleman, he might be’ she thought, but when she to-uched her l-ips, she could only chuckle.
He just ki-ssed a stranger! He couldn’t be a gentleman. But, wait a minute. She was an active p@rticipa-nt too…
That doesn’t mean she is not a ‘gentlewoman’!
Brina couldn’t help but laugh at her own antics. And, surprisingly, today is the first day she woke up with a smile on her face.
Last night felt so surreal just like a R0m-ntic movie. All those talking, drinking, and joking together about their lives, it felt like a dream to her because she always has her emotions dammed up in her heart.
And, he is the only one who succeeded in bringing down those walls and letting her emotions out. It’s been years since she smiled genuinely to herself…
“Louis Cruz” Brina whispered to herself and suddenly something struck her mind.
She hastily climbe-d down from the be-d and reached for her purse. She remembers him putting something in her purse. Although it’s totally blurry and she doesn’t remember what it is or from where he got it, she vaguely figured out that it was some sort of application.
However, she was so drunk that she couldn’t differentiate whether it’s only a dream or reality.
But, as soon as she opened her purse, the paper attra-cted all her attention and she couldn’t help but open it anxiously.
And, as she expected, it was an application that could give her access to apply for the job in L & E corporations. All she nee-ds is to follow the procedures.
“He really helped me. But why would he go to this great lengths to help some stranger? Did he respect my words to that extent?” Brina thought to herself and her heart started thumping fast.
She really got the chance to leave her previous company!
She couldn’t help but feel grateful towards Louis.
It’s not that she doesn’t like working there but after her encounter with Chris and getting that promotion letter… Welcoming her to the upper circle of the company, Brina lost her interest to work there. She felt that it is better to resign than to remain in her current company.
Brina sighed and looked back at the letter. After thinking for a while, she came to a conclusion that she will first try to get into L & E corporations and if she gets into it then she will resign from her previous post.
“Thanks Louis. I owe you one this time.” she smiled and started packing her bag to get down at the next port. She decided to fill the application and se-nd it to the company, as soon as possible.
So, she got re-ady hurriedly and then started filling up the application.
They would be arriving at the next port in a few minutes and the employees will be getting down at this port while the executives, rich families, and directors of the company will continue the sail till the evening.

Louis Cruz a.k.a Edward Henry Wright was standing in his balcony in the VVIP area of the cruise ship. From there, he can see the people alighting the ship.
Every one of them is an employee and they usually have to go back to work so they all left the cruise ship earlier than the others.
And, Brina Parker is one of them.
As her uncle’s house is nearer, Brina decided to pay them a visit. So, she took a day off…
She was missing her grandmother very badly and her health was not good nowadays. This made her worried but her eyes didn’t stop searching for her savior, ‘Louis Cruz’.
She knows him as a common employee so she thought he would get down here along with others. She is way more desperate to thank him and if possible make it up to him with a lunch treat. .
As her eyes continued searching for Louis, coincidentally, his eyes were fixated on the woman who shook his heart the previous night.
“Brina Parker, don’t disappoint me.” He muttered to himself thinking whether she will show up for the recruitment process or not.
He really hoped she would give it a try. Otherwise, it will become tough for him to get close to her. But, he is adamant to give this relationship a try…
She is the only person who has an impact on him.
Meanwhile, as he continued staring at her, the man cladded in black entered the room and bowed in ninety degrees.
“Speak” Louis commanded and it was only when that man started to speak.
His words are so obsequious and polite.
“Sir, Ms. Brina Parker has responded to the offer. She filled the form and her slot is fixed for tomorrow evening.” he informed.
As soon as Louis heard it, his l-ips curved up.
”I want her in our company. No matter what… She must get selected.” Louis Cruz ordered.
“Rest @$$ured sir. I will inform this to the HR dep@rtment.” The man cladded in black politely answered.
However, he still continued to stare at the ground.
“You can go now and inform Ben Cooper that I will be leaving in an hour. Also, I want my chopper re-ady by that time.” Louis ordered and the man bowed again before leaving the room.
Louis still had his eyes on Brina who is now standing on the dock with her luggage.
Though she looked normal and composed, her eyes frequently drifted looking for Louis, the only man who crumbled the walls of her heart last night.
Louis is no different. He is still wondering what she did to him. Never in his life had he felt this comfortable and excited to talk to another person… Especially a woman.
Even the ki-ss they shared… That sweetness is still lingering on his l-ips and he couldn’t help but feel like tasting those luscious l-ips again and again.
Meanwhile, as if Brina is in sync with his thoughts she smiled dreamily and skimmed her delicate fin-gers on her l-ips.
Louis, of course, didn’t miss this pleasing sight. His eyes turned crescent and his l-ips curved up into a smile.
So, at least, their feelings are mutual. Unlike how she responded to Chris, she seems like she is feeling the similar infatuation towards him.
Even that thought made him happy as he to-uched his own l-ips. Why is this feeling more intense than the simple attra-ction?
“What have you just done to me, Brina Parker… I want to ki-ss you right here right now.” Louis spoke to himself as he chuckled a little, before he reluctantly went inside his room.
The more he looked at her the more he wanted to meet her. But, this is not the right time yet.
…
Meanwhile…
Brina sighed as she couldn’t find the man from the previous night. She couldn’t deny that she is actually disappointed.
It’s shocking even to herself. She swore not to get affected by any person to this extent…. especially a man. But, it seems like she has no control over this matter when it comes to Louis.
As the cab she booked arrived at the entrance, Brina looked back at the cruise and pursed her l-ips.
“I hope we will meet again in L & E corporations.” Brina Parker thought before getting into the cab.

After a few hours of journey, Brina arrived at a mansion surrounded by a garden and fountains. The mansion looked magnificent and very luxurious.
Many cars were stationed outside and drivers were sitting workless and ideal…
Waiting for their masters and misses.
The maids, house staff, security are busy in their own works, but, when Brina came inside, no one greeted her nor acknowledged her. It is like they didn’t even notice her!
However, Brina is alre-ady accustomed to this ‘warm’ welcome by her maternal family. She usually prefers not to visit this house but this time she didn’t have a choice but to come.
Her grandmother is on her deathbe-d and this would probably be the last time Brina could see her alive.
And, she is not at all close to her maternal family except for her grandmother. So, she doesn’t even care what others think about her.
Meanwhile…
“Sister, you came!!!” a boy in his ten’s ran to her as soon as he saw her at the foyer.
Brina smiled and squ-atted down a little so he could hu-g her by her ne-ck and peck her cheek.
“I am here, aren’t I, you cheeky br@t?” Brina ruffled his head affectionately.
That boy just laughed and clung more to her ne-ck, making Brina laugh. He is the next and only person she cares here, after her grandmother.
Meanwhile her uncle who was standing not too far coughed a little angrily. He is indicating his son to be obe-dient and come back.
Except for her little cousin here, everyone hates her to their core.
They always belittle her and humiliate her because her father is a mere employee of her maternal grandfather.
Her mother, who was a socialite and business woman, fell in love with her father who was a normal @$$istant.
They eloped and got married making everyone angry and feel humiliated by her mother’s disgraceful and dishonorable deed.
However, it was only her grandmother who really cared.
After her mother’s death, Brina decided not to even enter this house.
The strong dislike towards rich people and their absurd mentalities, is one of many causes for this.
She wishes for nothing but a simple life with a simple person who could give her a peaceful life and a loving family to cherish.
She wanted nothing more than this. But, before she decides to step into this phase, she has many unfinished business to settle.
Revenge to satiate her vengeful heart and to bring justice to the people who are no longer in this life.
The first one in her hit list is none other than her maternal family. They took whatever that belonged to her mother and in turn, they bad mouthed her.
Her mother’s belongings and properties are written and promised to a charitable organization.
After her mother’s death, it would have gone directly to the funds of these organizations but her evil uncle and grandfather are not letting them go.
Many lives of children with chronic diseases and heart diseases are now depending on these funds.
So, Brina, although she is not interested in handling these people, had to step in. These people are unworthy of her time, but her mother’s dream would go in vain if she let these menial, power greedy bastards confiscate her mother’s properties.
As soon as she could get her mother’s properties back to the charitable foundation, she decided to leave this place and go somewhere else.
Till then she doesn’t want to get into any relationship but, who knows what might happen.
