MILES POV
Lila and I got to the human reign,I healed Lila without her knowledge then went straight down to my mansion.
“Wow Miles you really lived a good life. This place is beautiful” Lila complimented looking around with a beautiful smile on her face.
“Do you want to try the dishes here” I asked with a smile.
“I wouldn’t say no to that” She grinned.
I wish I can spend the rest of my life here. My injuries aren’t visible here. There seem to be a healing spell here. Lila thought and I smiled.
“Chef… Can you prepare something delicious for this beautiful lady my fiancee” I instructed with a smile.
“Alright boss… Boss what about miss Zoe” The chef asked and Lila’s face expression changed.
“What does that have to do with what you will prepare for my fiancee. You’re beginning to forget your place. Have I ever called Zoe my fiancee” I yelled seriously.
“No boss… I’m sorry about that boss” He apologized.
“You should learn how to be respectful, Infront of my special guest. You’re ma-king me look bad Infront of her. Now get lost” I ordered and he ran off to the kitchen.
“Sorry about that Lila. They’re beginning to lose their t©uçh because I haven’t been around but don’t let what he said bother you. The world should know you’re my bride to be,you deserve more than that. I won’t let anyone disrespect you”I as-sured.
“You’re being surprisingly sweet. Do you really feel bad about postponing our wedding” She asked softly.
What’s there to feel bad about. I’m only trying to make you happy now that you’re breathing. I thought with a sm-irk.
“I feel terrible. I promise to make it up to you. After dinner,I want to take you somewhere beautiful”I said grinning.
“Miles you’re really ma-king it difficult for me not to fall for you. I’ve never gotten this kind of attention and love since I was a little girl” Lila said blu-shing.
Why are you ma-king me feel sorry for you? I sincerely want to make you feel special. You’ve suffered alot. Lila I’m sorry in advance because this is the only way I can make things right again. No matter how much attention and love I show you, you will still choose to be ambitious and being ambitious will only ruin things for me.
I also showed Zoe love and attention so she doesn’t push throu-gh with her evil plans against me but she chose to stab me at the back in pretence of loving me. I refuse to get fooled again or get attached to my enemies. I thought staring at Lila as a beautiful smile remained on her pretty face.
“I’ve never seen a beautiful lady like you before. You grew up to be a very pretty one” I complimented smiling.
“Are trying to say I wasn’t pretty when I was little” She pouted.
“I didn’t mean it that way” I giggled.
Miles we nee-d to talk. Mason mind linked me.
Mason is around. What’s he doing here? He didn’t possibly c@mÂŁ here to ruin everything I’ve planned. I thought confused.
“Lila can you excuse you me for a moment. I will be right back” I said and left my mansion into a close by forest.
“Mason what are you doing here? You nee-d to go back to Polatan. Who’s protecting Zoe?” I questioned.
“Melissa is protecting Zoe. Miles you nee-d to st©p this whole thing. I don’t have a good feeling about it” He protested.
“What the hell are you talking about? You have no idea what Lila is planning in that head of hers. She’s going and there’s nothing st©pping me from doing what’s in my head so go back to Polatan let me concentrate on my fiancee” I ordered.
“Don’t tell me you’re feeling bad for her. You have no idea what Lila is able of doing to anyone and I mean anyone who’s trying to ruin her plans so don’t get involved in this” I forewarned seriously.
“Zoe’s been all loyal and sincere,I also feel bad for her. Pretending to be terribly mad at her, really hurt her feelings” He said tiredly.
“That doesn’t mean you’re not mad at her. She deserves whatever comes her way. You used to be the mean one here. St©p killing the spirit and get back to where you’re coming from and don’t bother coming back here” I instructed seriously and went back to my mansion.
AUTHOR’S POV
Mason went back to Polatan and heartened up about Miles’s decision. Immediately he got back to the castle, Zoe ran to him.
“What do you want this time? I’m not in the mood for your pep talk. So move out of my way” Mason uttered harshly.
“You have to talk to me. I’m not in a couple quarrel with you. If I don’t ask you things,how am I supposed to survive at this castle. I can’t even go out to look for solutions to some of the problems at hand. The Alpha strictly gave his orders that I shouldn’t leave the castle” Zoe complained.
“Exactly,he told you not to leave the castle so you don’t endanger his child. You don’t have to look any solutions to any problem. At the moment you’re not even a chief. You’re just a mistress so stay put till you put to birth and leave me alone. Tomorrow is my wedding with Melissa,I’m alre-ady anxious as it is ,don’t add to it” Mason said sarcastically.
“It’s not my issue that you’re anxious about your wedding with Melissa just answer my question” Zoe yelled.
“Was it necessary to raise your voice. You know you’re one stubborn werewolf you know right. I’m listening” Mason gave up.
“Where the hell did the Alpha and Lila went to” Zoe asked with jealousy written on her voice and her face expression and Mason couldn’t help it but boost into laughter.
“This isn’t the appropriate time to be laughing but I just couldn’t help it. Why do I have the feeling you’re jealous” Mason tea-sed grinning.
“I’m not in the mood for jokes. Go ahead and answer my question” She yelled.
“You wouldn’t like my reply because after I tell you where they are,you will be heavily guarded” Mason said smiling.
“I’m listening” Zoe said seriously.
“Where should I start from exactly….” Mason joked.
“Oh yeah… I remember Miles telling me he’s going for a vacation with Lila,sorry I mean his fiancee to the human reign. Do you have any problem with that” Mason giggled and Zoe was about running out of the castle but Mason gr@bbÂŁd her before she would do anything foolish.
“I told you,after I tell you. You will be heavily guarded and I don’t go back from my words. Why do you even care by the way” He tea-sed and placed and her on his shoulders.
“You won’t get away with this Mason. I promise you” Zoe yelled as she as struggled to get free from Mason’s grib.
TWO MONTHS LATER
Miles and Lila c@mÂŁ back to Polatan after their vacation in the human reign.
The lunar ecli-pse have appeared.
“Mason why’s Miles not letting me into his room” Melissa asked frustratedly.
“Don’t try to get into his room. You won’t be able to do that. Leave him be. I feel sorry for him,he’s in so much pain right now. I don’t think Miles would be able to spare his child. He’s bleeding so much” Mason said worriedly.
I can’t let him do that. If I’m still breathing that will never happen. Melissa thought.
Later that evening Mason went to Miles’s chambers.
“Mason don’t come any closer,you might get hurt” Miles winced as his eyes began to glow red.
“Miles what’s going on? Why are you acting this way. Did perhaps your bleeding got anything to do with your mood wings” Mason asked curiously.
“Don’t come close to me” Miles yelled with his glowing red eyes. His b©dy began to bring out fur.
What’s going on? Miles was supposed to lose his powers like everyone did during the lunar ecli-pse. Why is he acting like a demon. Mason thought confused.
“Miles you have to listen to me. Don’t do anything stupid. I know you can handle this, you’re in so much pain right now but you can do this. You did this for the sake of love and you’re going to overcome this for that same love” Mason advised coming closer to Miles and Miles scratched him with his claws.
“Get out!” Miles yelled,he winced and his back began to bleed even more.
“I will go, don’t be mad” Mason uttered slowly with his bleeding arm that Miles injured.
“I will leave okay” He added slowly and went out.
What’s going on? What’s happening to Miles? He took those dangerous syrup so he will become the Alpha and over shadow the spell of emotions but the side effects are way more to severe than I thought. What if Miles don’t make it out of this. No way,he has to survive this. I believe he will overcome this. Mason thought with confidence not knowing his arm was bleeding.
“Mason you’re bleeding” Zoe g@sped as she walked to Mason.
“Don’t bother,I’m fine. St©p poke nosing into people’s business. I don’t nee-d your care. You’re the cause of everything. You only bring us bad luck. I have no idea what Miles see in you. And unfortunately you happened to be his mate” Mason g@sped angrily and walked out.
That was really from his heart. Mason was really bittered. What’s going on? How did he get his injury? Did Miles hurt Mason? How’s that even possible? Zoe thought confused and tried to get into Miles’s chambers.
“Get out” Miles yelled backing the door as he la-id on the floor.
“Miles what happened to you” Zoe screamed in shock as she c@mÂŁ in and quic-kly ran to the bathroom and got a bowl of water and towel.
“What the hell are you doing” Miles asked faintly.
“For how long have you been like this? You’re beginning to smell terrible” Zoe said softly as she tried to wipe Miles’s b©dy but he pushed her away and the water in the bowl spill on the ground. Zoe went to the washroom and got another bowl of water.
“Don’t pretend like you care. I don’t nee-d you damn sympathy. Leave me alone” Miles winced faintly but Zoe didn’t st©p wiping his b©dy.
“We’re in these together so pushing me away won’t work. You made us all so worried, you’ve been in here for two days now. I want to share your pain with you so plea-se st©p pushing me away” Zoe uttered in tears as she f0rç£fully wiped the blood on Miles’s b©dy but he didn’t st©p bleeding.
“The next good thing you will do in your life is leaving my chambers. If you weren’t carrying my child,I would have made you regret coming in here. I told you never to come in,are you trying to test my patience” Miles g@sped faintly glaring at Zoe with grimace.
“I’m not leaving” Zoe said boldly.
“You think you’re stubborn” Miles scoffed coldly.
“You should leave before I do something you will regret. I really don’t care if you lose the child” Miles threatened angrily and Zoe stood up quic-kly as the threat got her.
“I will be back” She uttered.
“Don’t even dare” Miles yelled with his last strength and Zoe left his chambers. Immediately she went out, Miles pas-sed out.
