MELISSA POV
We were all summoned at the castle by Miles because something hvge happened at the palace.
“Mason what’s going on here” I whispered to him.
“Princess Luna got murdered infront of the throne” Mason replied and my eyes went wi-de open.
“Let’s just listen to what Miles have to say” Mason added and I nodded.
“Sadly the princess,my aunt met her end so fast. I had plans on giving her another chance after she committed treason but I guess I’m not the only enemy she got” Miles said with a smile.
“Supreme you make it look like you did this yourself” Eva blurted.
“How dare you accuse the Alpha of doing something like that” I barked.
“Eva what if I say I saw you kill the princess last night” Lila sm-irked.
“That’s outrageous! Why would I kill the princess” Eva fumed.
“The princess committed treason but the Alpha gave her another chance to amend her ways but she still insisted to have the throne so who ever killed her,did justice for the supreme” Jaxo said with a smile.
Of course that’s not right. Whoever killed her is after Miles,at the moment she’s the only rival Miles have at the palace so whoever killed her has a secret he doesn’t want anyone to know. I thought.
“The princess was buried early this morning. Lila what do you think we should do about this? Should we investigate on aunt’s death or we should close the case” Miles asked calmly.
“Why is he asking her? As if she can be of any help” I sneered and rolled my eyes.
“If we investigate more on the princess’s death, accusations will only be placed on one of your chiefs. That’s going to ruin the dignity of the palace officials
“Are you trying to say I would kill my own mother? What’s that suppose to mean? I will really suggest the Alpha push throu-gh with the investigation,I also want to find out who’s behind this” Zoe said seriously.
“What right do you have to suggest that to the supreme? Your mother committed treason,she tried to sit on the throne. What do you think she was trying to imply with that? She’s only a black sheep in the palace” Jaxo said seriously and Zoe glared at him.
“Nob©dy saw that. Princess Luna is the closest relative of the Alpha and she’s a royal blood. We nee-d to investigate this. If we don’t investigate this,we have no idea who’s our enemy or Friend” I suggested seriously.
I’m not siding with anyone so Zoe don’t think otherwise,I’m only trying to protect Miles. I thought as Zoe smiled at me.
“Melissa what are you trying to say” Miles asked curiously.
“We shouldn’t just jump to conclusions because the princess’s b©dy was found here. We should think out of the box. Why would anyone dare to kill the relative of the supreme? This is a mystery and we nee-d to find out who’s behind this” I suggested.
“Melissa what are you doing” Mason whispered to me.
“We have so much on our plates alre-ady and you’re thinking of investigating the princess’s death. I wish you will put that much thinking into how we can conquer the vampires” Lila ch!pped in and I glared at her.
“I’m sorry Melissa but we can’t push throu-gh with the investigation. Princess Luna only causes disaster in the palace so you don’t expect me to think outside the box after she has tried so many times to own the throne. We’re closing the case. Everyone go gather the packs in a safe place. The vampires are heading this way” Miles announced.
What’s Lila’s deal? Why am I having this strange feeling about her. Does she have anything to do with the princess’s death. In fact everyone here looks suspicious including Miles himself. I thought staring at everyone.
AUTHOR’S POV
Before mid-day all the pack have been moved to a safer place. The vampires are approaching with full f0rç£.
Miles, Mason, Melissa,his chiefs and Polatan warriors have gone to the entrance of Polatan gate to wait for the vampires to arrive.
“Supreme why’s Lila not with us? Is she planning on ditching us after giving the super strength” Melissa asked seriously.
“I also don’t have any idea why she’s not here, that’s why I didn’t take the super strength pill”Miles uttered and everyone looked at him in shock.
“Supreme why didn’t you take it? The vampires are way more dangerous than we think. plea-se go back to the castle” Mason suggested seriously.
“I’m leading this war so there’s no turning back. I will be right back” Miles uttered and disappeared into to the forest.
“Alpha!” Mason called out.
Miles got into the forest and found the vampires heading to the gate. Miles transformed into a wolf,his eyes turned to glowing red. Miles’s spirit got entwined with the spirit of his ancestors and he bec@m£ an invisible great Alpha.
Swiftly Miles bounced on the elder Alpha vampire and bite off his n£¢k with his fangs then used his claws to scratch out the heart of the vampire. The vampires got confused not knowing what was happening,they took their invisible drugs but Miles could still see them because of his spiritual eyes, Miles killed them one after the other. He left none of them breathing.
“Impressive,I knew you were greater than we all think” Lila complimented as she c@m£ out of nowhere and Miles transformed back into a human but coll@psed after that.
Miles was carried back to the castle.
“What happened” Melissa asked curiously.
“When the supreme gains consciousness he will tell us exactly what happened” Lila uttered rudely.
“What’s that supposed to mean? You know exactly what happened to the Alpha ,yet pretend to not to know nothing. Why were you at the forest in the first? Why did you go to the forest?” Melissa asked seriously and they both had striking glare.
“The Alpha transformed into the ancient great Alpha,we heard of only in books and from our parents. That was what happened to the Alpha,after that he lost consciousness,Happy now?” Lila exclaimed looking away.
“What” Melissa and Mason chorused confused.
Four hours later Miles gained consciousness.
“Mason what happened to me? I remember going into the forest and seeing the vampires but after that I can’t remember what possessed my b©dy after that” Miles hinted confused.
“Miles you’re indeed a great Alpha. You killed all the vampires that were heading to Polatan all by yourself. But you took such a hvge risk going for them just by yourself. What if something happened to you” Mason scolded.
“After what Zoe did to me,I find it ha-rd trusting any she-wolf. I had other thoughts,like what if Lila’s solution wasn’t true that’s why I didn’t take it. I just couldn’t put all your lives in danger” Miles explained.
“But you agreed she go ahead with her plan because you trusted she could bring a good solution to the problem? You have no idea what happened at the gate when you left” Mason uttered.
“What do you mean? Did something happen” Miles asked curiously.
“The vampires c@m£ in two sets, one of the sets which was stronger were conquered by you while the other set,we conquered them just in seconds. Lila’s super strength pill was a great solution” Mason narrated.
“Hm… Lila actually kept her word” Miles said with a smile.
We’re stronger than you all think. Let’s just say Lila did it. Miles thought.
“None of the chiefs or warriors got hurt right” Miles asked curiously.
“Everyone’s fine but Selene suddenly had a side effects of the super strength pill” Mason said in a low tone.
“What do you mean side effects” Miles asked seriously.
“She got rashes but Lila said she will be fine” Mason affirmed.
“That’s good then” Miles said slowly.
“Do you still have feelings for Selene? You know you can’t do that right” Mason forewarned with a sarcastic smile.
“Where’s that coming from? Oh plea-se, who’s having feelings for who” Miles protested.
It’s past midnight and Melissa was coming out of Mason’s chambers when suddenly a dagger pierced into her heart coming out of her back. Swiftly she struggled to run back to Mason. The dagger was about slitting her throat into two when Mason dragged her into his room.
“Melissa what happened to you” Mason asked almost in tears as Melissa struggled to breath.
“Go..af..ter…” Melissa struggled to utter out a word as blood streamed out of her mouth to her ear.
“Save your breathe” Mason instructed as he tried to tie her bleeding heart.
“I can’t….make it” Melissa winced faintly as tears roll down her eyes.
“Melissa don’t say things like that plea-se” Mason uttered as tries roll down his eyes.
“You can’t die just like this” Mason sobbe-d as Melissa began to lose her breathe.
