“Kelly what’s she saying? I was planning on ma-king Melissa, Miles’s fiance” Masho argued.
“Lila what are you doing? Melissa has always love Miles. She’s going to be Miles’s bride not you” Kelly yelled.
Miles held his head confused.
“Father don’t you want to be the father in law of the great Alpha” Lila asked softly.
“Masho let’s leave the youngsters to make decisions for themselves” Kelly said almost in a whisper and I almost boost into laughter.
“Kelly what are you saying? How can you switch sides so fast. We’re talking about love here. Lila don’t love the Alpha” Masho added swiftly.
“But Lila was the alpha’s first love,there’s a chance he still loves her” Kelly said smiling.
“I can’t believe this seriously” Masho said totally disappointed.
MILES POV
I also can’t believe this. Why’s everyone so eager to merge me up with a she-wolf. If I was in the human reign I would probably be having an headache right now. This old folks are arguing for what. I thought frustratedly.
“If you still don’t believe me when I said the vampires are invading soon. Have a look at this” Lila said handing me a telescope.
“What’s that smoke” I asked as I saw some glimpse of smoke from far away.
“That smoke is coming out from the pot of dangerous drugs. They’re heading here. They will get here before sunset tomorrow” Lila explained.
“Why do you want to be my bride?” I asked staring at her.
“I want power,I want the universe to hear of me. I want to make Polatan pack the most powerful werewolves in history. We lost our tĀ©uƧh as the strongest pack because of the weak leaders we’ve had” Lila said boldly looking away at the window.
She’s very bold. At least she’s being honest about her goals so I won’t be surprised if she tries to achieve greater things in the future. She’s very ambitious. This is what I nee-d right now,an ambitious backbone. I don’t nee-d to trust her as long as we achieve greater things and the lives of everyone matters most. I thought and nod my head.
“Deal. I will make you my bride if we conquer the vampires” I agreed boldly.
“You made a good choice” Lila said with a smile.
Zoe walked into the palace with five cousins of mine. They were all putting on armor.
“What the hell is she doing here” Mason yelled and Lila stared at her.
“This old folks nee-ds to go home and rest their tired bones. We’re now the new chiefs” Zoe announced and I laughed out loud.
“What’s the meaning of that Zoe” Melissa yelled as she also c@mĀ£ into the palace.
“Selene not Zoe” Zoe corrected rudely.
“Firstly it’s written in history that if the Alpha isn’t upto 25years old,the palace will have to be brown new. All the young cousins will be made chiefs and also involved in decision ma-king of the Alpha” Eva explained.
Eva is my sixth cousin.
“Supreme we’re here to support you like we’ve always been doing” Jaxo said politely.
Jaxo is my third cousin, uncle Obet’s first son. He has always been a very good friend of mine from childhood and maybe that’s because he bears father’s name.
“The rule has always been there but you all think this is an appropriate time to do this” Lila said seriously.
“We’ve also heard about the vampires invading into our kingdom. We also want to support the Alpha” Zoe uttered coldly.
“Support,ha! You really think you can support me Selene? You’re the daughter of my rival. Why do you think I will allow you support me” I uttered rudely.
“Any chief who goes against the Alpha,we all know the penalty is death” She said and win-ked at me.
What are you trying to do. Funny you. I thought with grimace.
“You’re not even princess Luna’s daughter” Melissa hinted.
“Who are you to judge the identity of a royal. You know that’s against the rule” Zoe said rudely.
Like what the hell is going on here. Why does all this have to happen today. I haven’t even recovered yet.
“This meeting will be adjourned till we’ve conquered the vampires and now you all are here,I will make an announcement. After we’ve conquered the vampires, Lila and I will be getting married” I announced with a smile.
“What!” Melissa and Zoe g@sped out glaring at Lila.
“I go for what I want” Lila scoffed glaring at both Melissa and Zoe as she left the palace.
AUTHOR’S POV
Zoe was slee-ping at night when Luna disappeared into her room, looking all desperate and evil.
“You still got the nerve to fall asleep” Luna yelled as she sat on the be-d glaring at Zoe. Zoe turned to the other side of the be-d and felt someone was on the be-d with her, swiftly she opened her eyes.
“I’m pretty sure you haven’t gotten enough sleep yet. Go ahead” Luna said with a malicious smile.
“Why are you here? You’re supposed to be in the dungeon” Zoe uttered coldly.
“How dare you Selene” Luna blurted.
“After all I’ve done for you,you love it that I’m being locked up don’t you? What are your intentions for inviting Miles’s cousins over. Don’t tell me you’re switching sides” Luna said calmly.
“I don’t want to sound ungrateful but Aunt what have you done for me exactly,you claim to have adopted me because you love me but we know that’s a lie. I’m done doing your dirty work for you. Miles isn’t a bad leader” Zoe said and Luna sl@pped her ha-rd on her face then stood up from the be-d.
“If you don’t kill Miles before sunrise tomorrow, consider yourself dead. You lost werewolf! what good would you do to me if you don’t fight the difficult battles for me. Oliver got killed today and you have to avenge him. That’s a command” Luna warned and disappeared.
“You will get exactly what you’re looking for. I’m tired of following your orders like I have no importance in life” Zoe muttered out angrily as she ru-bbe-d her cheeks.
She’s never going to get satisfied no matter what I do. Zoe thought seriously.
Miles was laying on his be-d resting and Zoe knocked at his door. She couldn’t disappear into the room because the room was been protected by the Alpha shield.
Why would anyone come look for me this late. Miles thought and stood up then went to the door.
“Supreme,I nee-d to talk to you” Zoe said slowly as Miles allowed her in.
“Do you plan on stabbing me like you’ve always been doing” Miles said sarcastically as he sat on a chair.
“Friendly reminder you can’t do anything to me,I’m no longer the Miles you pla-yed around with so save your strength” Miles said coldly.
“I know that but I didn’t come to harm you. I’m here to apologize to you,I happen to be one of your chiefs now we nee-d to be in a good talking terms” Zoe said looking at the ground.
“Is this why you bec@mĀ£ my chief,sorry soon to be chief so you will use that as another opportunity to stab me at my back. Ha! Sorry but I don’t think been in a good talking terms with you is ever going to happen. You’ve lost that right long time ago. You’re only a chief and you don’t expect to become friends with me just because of that. You should know your place and never ever come to my be-d chambers again” Miles warned seriously.
“I know I’ve hurt you a lot but plea-se give me an opportunity to apologize sincerely to you” Zoe said almost in tears.
“What are you apologizing for” Miles blurted.
“I’m apologizing for betraying you. Supreme I’m so sorry,I sincerely c@mĀ£ with good intentions this time around,I mean you no harm” Zoe uttered sincerely and Miles giggled.
“Apologizing doesn’t sound like any word I’ve ever heard of so get out” Miles ordered calmly.
“I’m…”
“Get out!” Miles repeated seriously as he point at the door.
“Disgusting” Miles hissed as Zoe got to the door.
Luna was at a corner waiting for Zoe to show up so she would kill her if she hasn’t done anything to Miles.
Killing her is like erasing one of the bad memories we have in the palace. She’s becoming of no use to me. How am l supposed to get back the throne,if someone like her keeps getting on the way. Luna thought angrily.
Suddenly a dagger pierced into her heart coming out from behind her, Luna fell to the ground and tried to transform into a wolf to save up some strength but another dagger flew from unknown direction and slit her throat into two. Luna gushed out blood from her mouth and gave up the ghost.
“You keep messing things up for me” A voice echoed in rage.
