“Tomorrow before sunset my coronation would be held infront of all the pack. They should all witness my coronation so no one judges my identity as the Alpha. Nat thank you for coming over today” I said to the Hattan Alpha.
“We would wait for the invitation of your coronation tomorrow. Thanks for today” He said with a bow and they left.
“For now, princess Luna and her crew would be un-der house arrest before my coronation. Everyone’s dismissed and I would love to be alone tonight” I instructed and head for the alpha’s be-d chambers.
I walked around in the be-d chambers and reminisce on how father taught me the rigid rules of our pack.
FLASHBACK*** “Son why don’t you ask about your mother” Father uttered as I sat on the be-d with him.
“I don’t ask about her because you don’t talk about her and I was raised by you alone. Father I noticed no one else talks about her” I exclaimed.
“I’m a weak supreme. I couldn’t protect the only mate I loved my whole life. Miles don’t fall in love with any she-wolf before your coronation as the Alpha. If you do, your coronation rituals would be rebuked. Your mother was killed the night she gave birth to you as per the instructions of your grandfather the late Alpha so we can protect your position as the heir” Father narrated softly.*** FLASHBACK ENDS.
Tomorrow I would know my fate,if I’m still in love with that devious wolf or not. I’ve got to realize that my life is about sacrificing one for the other. Father believes I would do better as the leader of Polatan. I’m so anxious I don’t want to disappoint those who put their hopes on me. I thought sadly staring at the window.
MASON POV
“Miles is probably su-cking up at his room right now” I said to Melissa who just joined me at the balcony close to my room.
“He fell for her just to fast. I knew Zoe wasn’t the right call from day one” Melissa yelled.
“Take it easy okay… Don’t make a fuss. It’s late alre-ady. Miles just have to learn to move on. We’re all depending on him to make things right in Polatan so he can’t afford to keep on ma-king mistakes” I g@sped.
“We shouldn’t push him too ha-rd . He also have feelings, I’m certain he hasn’t let go of what he has for Zoe” Melissa added.
“Why would he still have feelings for that malicious wolf. She obviously betrayed him twice,she never loved Miles. She only used him” I uttered frustratedly.
“Don’t be like that. Miles fell for her pretence and it’s un-derstandable if he’s hurting. We just nee-d time and he will move on from that” Melissa said calmly.
“Oh yeah… It nearly skipped my mind. You went missing for almost nine hours. Where did you run of to” I asked curiously.
“Was it obvious… I went to look for Zoe. I went to Carson university and looked into her file but something doesn’t feel right” Melissa said not sure what to say.
“How do you mean” I asked curiously.
“Like you said, Zoe grew up in the human reign and she definitely has a family who harbored her in but the question here is if Luna adopted her when she was little,we would have seen her around once in a while but no, in the record Luna went for a war in Hattan Kingdom and when she was coming back she adopted a child” Melissa pursed putting her thoughts together.
“So are you trying to say Zoe originally c@m£ from Hattan pack” I uttered perplex.
“Luna wouldn’t go plead with someone to adopt their child to her so it’s obvious she stole Zoe away from her parents. I found out from my father that Zoe’s real name is Selene. But why would Luna steal a child, she’s not the loving and caring type. And why did she name Zoe, Selene” Melissa said with a sm-irk.
Selene definitely stands for the goddess of the moon. I thought.
“Are you thinking what am thinking” I uttered with a smile and she nodded.
“But why are you digging into Zoe’s background,you followed her background up to Polatan. Are you trying to help her or harm her” I asked confused.
“I’m trying to do both. I want to kill two birds with one stone. Luna doesn’t have the power to do anything right now because she’s un-der house arrest same with her men so the next strong person she would ask to destroy Miles is definitely Zoe but if Zoe finds out Luna have been using her,her whole life,she will be heartbroken and just then we convince her to join our side,she may be a malicious she-wolf I want to kill the next moment I set my eyes on her but It’s a good sign having the upper and stronger team here” She said with a smile.
“Melissa how did you become this brilliant” I complimented smiling as I ruffled her hair and she pinched me.
“I’ve got to be brilliant so we can protect Miles with all our might. Now that he’s in Polatan,am very worried because so many packs holds a grudge against him. Lately the werewolves have been attacked by the demon werewolves and now the vampires are threatening for a fight” Melissa sighed tiredly.
“After Miles’s coronation,we will put a plan together on how to deal with this challenges. We can’t be in enmity with other packs for too long” I suggested.
“Mason, Melissa I think something is wrong” Miles g@sped out as he ran to us looking very serious.
“What do you mean Miles” The both of us chorused.
“My coronation shouldn’t be held tomorrow. Like Melissa said so many packs holds a grudge against me and the demon werewolves must have been informed that tomorrow’s my coronation and I requested everyone to be there,they will use that as an opportunity to murder many of us. I’ve put some thoughts into it and it happened to be possible. Danger may arrive but for now the both of you have to announce to everyone. No one should come here tomorrow” Miles instructed seriously.
“Are you not scared they will think that you’re running away from your coronation because you don’t have the qualities of an Alpha” Melissa ch!pped in.
“No I don’t as long as everyone’s safe. Their lives matters most. I will go visit uncle Obet now while the both of go announce what I said to the fellow pack” Miles said anxiously.
AUTHOR’S POV
Next day all the gates of the alpha’s palace have been closed.
Some of the werewolves who didn’t listen to Miles instructions caused a scene at the gate as they tried to f0rç£ Miles out of the palace so he can perform the coronation rituals as planned.
“Why are they so many of them? Didn’t you both s£nd out the instructions I gave” Miles asked confused as they watched them from the highest balcony at the balcony.
“We did. It will be difficult gaining back their trust. You ignored your role for good twelve years” Melissa uttered.
“It seems like the demon werewolves are on their way. Should I go help some of them before the demon werewolves arrive” Mason asked concerned.
“You will do no such thing. They dared to go against my order,this will be a lesson to the rest of them who will leave this place alive” Miles uttered coldly and went back inside, Mason and Melissa followed.
“Saving them is another way of gaining back their trust” Melissa suggested.
“I will get the survivors the best treatment for their injury. I’m not in the position to beg anyone to stand with me. I’m the Alpha and everyone should shiver at the sound of my voice. Showing care isn’t a good way of leading a bunch of stubborn packs. They will learn to trust me on their own will” Miles said seriously and went to his room.

Immediately the demon werewolves arrived and began to fight with all their might, some of the packs managed to run away while some escaped injured. Miles transformed into a wolf and disappeared into the fighting ground,he went straight to the demon werewolf Alpha and bite of his muzzle, Miles devoured the Alpha with great strength and the rest of the demon werewolves ran away in fear.
“I thought he said he wasn’t going to do nothing” Mason chuckled.
“He fights like a great Alpha. He showed no mercy when killing his enemies” Melissa said smiling obviously impressed.
Miles transformed back into a human and gr@bb£d one of the demon werewolf.
“Go tell the rest of your pack that I dare anyone to come to my kingdom and put up a fight” Miles threatened with his eyes as green as ever, refusing to transform back to the normal color.
AUTHOR’S POV
Coronation day,it was held three days after the mas-sacred of the polatan pack.
At the sound of the announcement of Miles’s coronation all the fellow packs gathered infront of the castle the rituals will be taking place.
“They’re very punctual than usual” Mason chuckled.
“They’re scared of losing their lives. Going against the alpha’s order the penalty is death” Melissa said seriously.
“Melissa did something happen,you sound very serious right now? Seems like you haven’t found Zoe yet” Mason inquired.
“I can’t believe,I haven’t found her yet. She may ruin things if she appear here. You have no idea what Miles is like when he sees her. The Alpha’s coronation rituals will only be complete if the Alpha isn’t emotionally attached to any she-wolf” Melissa uttered nervously.
“Are you trying to say Miles’s coronation may not be completed if it shows that he’s emotionally attached to a she-wolf but I’ve never heard of such in history. All the Alphas known in history has a Luna” Mason said confused.
“Why do you think nob©dy speaks of the late Luna that’s Miles’s mother” Melissa whispered to Mason.
“You’ve got a point and the last I could remember whoever speaks of her will be killed. Do you think it has anything to do with the late alpha’s coronation” Mason whispered back.
” The late Alpha’s coronation wasn’t completed and princess Luna was the only one aware of this so in exchange for her to keep shut,the Alpha gave her his trinity and that’s why Luna was able to kill him. Miles’s mother was killed the night of the late Alpha’s coronation” Melissa narrated in a whisper.
“But if the late Alpha bribe-d his sister why was Miles’s mother killed” Mason asked confused.
“No one knows about that. Everyone who did was killed along side Miles’s mother”Melissa said and Mason got goosebu-mps.
“Why are they both together? I don’t think putting them together is a good sign” Mason uttered seriously referring to Kevin and Oliver.
“Miles gave out his orders that they should be together when he’s performing his coronation rituals. I have the feeling he’s planning something else but I’m a bit convinced, I will be shedding blood today” Melissa said with a smile.
Now when she smiles like that,she’s in a terrible mood. Mason thought and moved a little bit away from her.

Everything is going to be busted if Selene shows up here. I’m pretty sure Miles fell for her little tricks. Love is a bit-ch. Luna thought with a sm-irk.
“Oliver were you able to get in contact with Selene last night ” Kevin asked curiously.
“The princess doesn’t look worried. I think she planned something ahead of time because I couldn’t find Selene” Oliver uttered worriedly.
Miles c@m£ out majestically and sat on the throne. Everyone bowed then the rituals began. Miles was first injected with the power spell to make his powers visible. Immediately his b©dy brou-ght out lots of fur which made him look like a beast and the color of his eyes changed to multi-ple colors then he growled.
ZOE POV
“I can’t believe am here just like aunt instructed” I uttered frustratedly as I stared at Miles from afar.
“He sure is very powerful I didn’t guess wrong” I added with a smile.
Flashback*** “Selene you have to finish what you started that’s exactly how I brou-ght you up. Finishing what one started is our principle” Aunt yelled.
“Aunt I only have one question” I uttered.
“What question” She asked seriously.
“Am I related to Miles in anyway” I asked curiously.
“Why would you be asking such a question in a crucial moment like this”
“I think I have the right to know this because I went out of my way to get closer to him” I protested.
“You just made out with him. You don’t have to make it a big deal and to put your mind at ease, he’s not related to you. I adopted you when you were little I picked you up at the forest. These are one of the reasons why you should put your life on the line just to protect me” She said coldly.
“Aunt you said that so coldly, don’t you love me at all” I said almost in tears.
“Come on Selene don’t be like this. If I don’t love you why would I bother picking you up from the forest I saw you. Don’t be emotional and I’m sorry if I made you feel that way” Aunt said softly with a smile. ***Flashback ends.
“That was actually the first time am seeing her smile. She looked very pretty when she smiles. I wish I would make her smile more” I said smiling.
I’m sorry Miles but seems like I will be betraying you again. I feel terrible hurting you again and again but I have to make Aunt happy. I muttered in my mind sadly as I head for the castle.
MELISSA POV
Miles was injected with the emotion spell just then Zoe appeared in front of the pack.
“What the..!” I uttered angrily as I made my way to go kill her but Miles nodded I shouldn’t do nothing.
Why are you doing this to yourself Miles? She’s the last person that should be here right now. I muttered in my mind frustratedly.
The spell acted up and his eyes turned bloody red as growled furiously and other Alphas from different packs transformed into wolves so they would protect Miles.
Miles glared at Zoe angrily. Everyone felt Miles was ired.
“Why do I have the feeling this isn’t the reaction Miles should be giving if he’s attached to a she-wolf” Mason uttered as he counted his words. Everyone watched Miles not knowing what was going on.
“His reaction was to howled and scream in pain if he is still in love with Zoe but he’s giving out the opposite reaction although he’s still in pain. How did Miles do this? He knew Zoe will be here” I muttered out trying to process everything.
“What if Miles took something before coming here. I’ve lived with him my whole life I don’t think he will forget Zoe just like that. Miles get attached to his loved ones so much even though they betrayed him,he doesn’t let go” Mason uttered not sure about what he’s saying.
“Emotion spell works on anything so it doesn’t matter what Miles took, the spell will still act up” I said trying to convince myself Miles has moved on.
