“Good night Zoe” Miles uttered softly as he ca-ressed my hair.
“Good night” I uttered almost in a whisper.
Why does he still care about me? He’s only caring because he probably had a wonderful time with me. I promise this won’t last. I’m the last person you should be caring for right now. You have no idea what’s coming your way. I thought with a malicious smile.
Next morning,I woke up and quietly picked my things.
“He looks so cute when he’s asleep” I whispered admiring Miles’s lovely face and I hit myself ha-rd .
Zoe what are you doing? You should get going before Miles wakes up. I thought and wore my socks quietly. I got to the door to leave the room but Miles coughed.
“Water…” He coughed with his eyes shut.
“Oh water..” I said and ran to pour him a glas-s of water then ran back to the be-d offering him the water. He held my hand as he drank the water.
“Are you okay now” I asked curiously and he nodded like a child.
“Don’t leave yet,we should have breakfast first before you leave. Go freshen up,I will go instruct the chefs on what to prepare for breakfast” He said stretching his arms wi-de as he yarned.
I can’t believe I just showed concern to Miles. It shouldn’t be what am thinking… There’s no way am developing feelings for Miles. I scoffed at the thought.
AUTHOR’S POV
Zoe freshened up and went downstairs for breakfast. She got downstairs and saw Miles was a total mess,he had flour on his apron and face.
“What happened to you” Zoe chuckled staring at him.
“I had to supervise breakfast so they prepare it according to your taste” Miles giggled.
“I’m pretty sure your chefs could do a good job,you ruined your pretty face” Zoe giggled as she picked a wipes from the table and walked to Miles.
“You shouldn’t have,you make me look like a burden” Zoe said almost in a whisper as she wiped off the dirt on Miles’s face gently. Miles stared at her pas-sionately as she wiped his face.
“You’re not a burden, you’re a very special guest. I have to make sure you feel happy” Miles said smiling.
“Let’s eat” Zoe said ignoring what Miles said. They both sat down and the maids served the dishes on their plates.
“Are we supposed to finish everything here” Zoe asked surprised as she stared at all the dishes served.
They look beautiful and delicious,what am I having first. Zoe thought almost drooling.
“Feel free to eat whatever you want. I’m at your service” Miles said jovially and Zoe chuckled,she di-pped her fork into one of the dishes and had a bite. She felt like she was floating in heaven.
“This is so good” She complimented with a smile and she began to di-p her fork into all the dishes as she gulped it down excitedly.
Another way to win a girl’s heart is serving her delicious meals. Miles thought smiling as he win-ked at his chief chef.
“Zoe can I ask you something if you don’t mind” Miles hesitated before asking.
“OK” Zoe permitted chewing the piece of food in her mouth.
“Zoe can we make our relationsh!pofficial. Be my girlfriend” Miles said anxiously staring at her and she almost choked.
“Have some water” Miles offered giving her a glas-s of water and she drank the whole glas-s in a blink.
“Thank you for these delicious meals” Zoe said wiping herl-ips with a napkin.
“Zoe be my girlfriend … If you think I won’t ask you leaving your meal half way would st©p me from asking again then you’re wrong. You have to give me an answer” Miles said softly.
“Em… There’s nothing to talk about,I can’t be your girlfriend. I’m sorry you’re not my type” Zoe blurted out coldly.
“What” Miles giggled flabberg@sted by her reply.
“What happened last night,I only did that for fun so don’t get attached to it. No strings attached” Zoe uttered and stood up .
“What don’t you like about me? I promise to change, I’m willing to try anything as long as you agree to be my girlfriend” Miles said swiftly.
“Would you agree to give up your wealth just for me. That’s absolutely impossible and it’s because you’re wealthy that’s why I can’t be your girlfriend. Do you un-derstand now”
“What’s wrong with being rich? Trust me my wealth c@m£ from my ha-rd work. I’ve never cheated anyone to become rich. Zoe plea-se put some thoughts into it alright. Don’t give up on our opportunity to become happy so easily. I wanna sincerely be your man” Miles said pas-sionately and Zoe picked her purse.
“I would take my leave now” Zoe said and left.
“She sure is a tough one” Miles sighed.

Zoe c@m£ out of Miles’s mansion and stood at the roadside to get ride back to hostel.
She waved at a taxi and got in. The person sitting next to her in the taxi gr!pp£dher n£¢k ti-ght as she almost choked.
“Who…a.re…you” She managed to utter out as she scavenge for air.
“Seems like you’re beginning to forget the reason why you were s£nt here” The person scolded refusing to let go of her n£¢k.
“We’re running out of time so you better be fast about retrieving the trinity if you don’t want to lose your head. The supreme may have other options but I only stick to what I know is best for everyone” He said furiously and let go of her n£¢k. Zoe started coughing as she held her n£¢k in shock gaining back her breath.
“What’s going on at home” Zoe uttered almost in a whisper as she tried to regain her voice.
“When next I visit, you know exactly what would happen to your miserable life” Oliver threatened and disappeared.
Aunt is upset with me. I’m losing her trust. Zoe thought and her eyes bec@m£ bloody red.
I can’t go back to being nothing. Aunt made me who I am today so I shouldn’t let her down. I can’t let this foolish fling ruin the rest of my life. Zoe thought with so much hate.
AUTHOR’S POV
Later in the morning Miles went to the office. He c@m£ out of the elevator and all the employees flung their mouth open as they stared at him. Miles was putting on plain casual clothes. Clothes that he would even wear to his sitting room.
“Good morning all” Miles greeted with a smile.
“Good morning boss” They greeted in chorus as they kept on staring at him.
“Boss you should’ve announced today’s dressing code was home outfit” One of the employees managed to say.
“What do you mean? You all shouldn’t mind me. I just feel like putting on plain clothes to work. Everyone plea-se go back to work, don’t mind me” Miles instructed smiling as he win-ked at Zoe and she rolled her eyes.
Miles was about entering his office when he saw one of the employees trying to flir-t with Zoe.
“How dare…” Miles uttered in jealousy as he was about to go confront the employee but Mason dragged him into his office.
“Miles what’s going on with you today? What the hell are you putting on? You look like a piece of rag” Mason said seriously.
“There’s nothing wrong with what I’m putting on. I feel very comfortable in it” He said smiling.
“Would you st©p smiling and tell me exactly what’s going on? You were obviously getting jealous when you saw Nigel flir-ting with Zoe. Did something happen between you two last night” Mason asked curiously.
“Something happened… We only made out that’s all. And who said I was jealous,hello Mason, Zoe isn’t even my type of girl. She’s too rude for my liking” Miles lied looking away.
“Are you sure there’s no strings attached because you sound like you’ve fallen for her alre-ady” Mason said staring at Miles suspiciously.

“Zoe,the chief director wants you in her office now” Ariana texted.
Why does Melissa want me in her office. Zoe thought confused as she head Melissa’s office.
“Ma’am you asked for me” Zoe said as she went into Melissa’s office.
“Have a seat. Let’s talk woman to woman” Melissa uttered coldly.
“OK” Zoe hesitated before sitting.
“If you like Miles,you better st©p pla-ying with his feelings. We all can notice how ha-rd he’s beginning to fall for you” Melissa said seriously.
“Sorry I didn’t get you”
“You better quit pla-ying dumb with me. You have ill intentions towards Miles and I can feel it but a friendly reminder you shouldn’t let your guard down just because you think Miles likes you. You have no idea what am capable of doing if you harm the people close to me” Melissa forewarned.
You also have no idea what am capable of doing just to accomplish my goals. Zoe thought with a sm-irk.
“Are you threatening me? It looks like you also have feelings for Miles,that shouldn’t be the kind of spirit you should have when meeting your rival” Zoe scoffed.
“Oh really…. Sorry but it’s not in my personality to be selfish for love. You got it all wrong,I also fight for what I want but in a different way” Melissa said with a malicious smile.
Zoe went back to her desk after her conversation with Melissa only for her to see bouquet of flowers all over her thanks.
“Woooh….. Zoe you’ve got yourself a lover. Wow lovely flowers” The employees tea-sed her.
She brou-ght out the gift cards attached to the flowers.
“Hope you like my outfit today. With my outfit now,you don’t mind going out with an ordinary man right” Miles wrote in the gift card.
Didn’t notice Miles has a beautiful writing. Zoe thought and a smile appeared on her face.
What are you thinking Zoe? You get distracted from your mission so easily. Anyways this is also an opportunity for me. I can’t keep on waiting to grow my spell,I should just go ahead and chop off his head. Zoe thought heartlessly.
“Can we meet now” Zoe texted Miles.
“Sure… Meet me at the rooft©p” Miles texted back swiftly.
Five minutes time they were both at the rooft©p.
“Zoe believe me, I’m sincerely asking you to be my girlfriend not because of what happened last night but because you make my heart flutter. Surprisingly whenever I hear your voice my stomach gets bu-tterfly. It’s a feeling I never wanna p@rt with” Miles said pas-sionately as his heartbeat raced.

One week after Miles’s confession. At Miles mansion. Miles and Zoe are at the kitchen pla-ying around as they deliberated on what to prepare for dinner.
“I can’t continue watching this. I think my eyes are going to ache if I continue watching their lovey dovey drama” Melissa gr-unted frustratedly.
“We shouldn’t ruin our evening because of this two love birds. Let’s go have some fun. I know exactly where we should go” Mason suggested with a smile.
“You know I don’t reject offers like this” Melissa giggled.
Would Miles be okay. I still don’t trust Zoe nevertheless that she’s now Miles’s girlfriend. Melissa muttered in her mind worriedly before she entered Mason’s car.
Zoe had a bite from an apple and Miles opened his mouth for Zoe to feed some apples but she refused.
“Come on Mrs Miles,I want some as well” Miles uttered cutely.
“For being this cute,I would feed you from my mouth” Zoe said s£dûçt!velyas she had another bite of apple. Miles placed his hands around her w@!st, brou-ght his face closer to her. Zoe gave him a pas-sionate k!sswhile she transferred the apple into his mouth.
“Sweet… Just like you” Miles said smiling as he chewed the apple and gulped it down. Zoe blus-hes.
“I will be right back” Miles added removing his apron then head to his room.
Miles got to his room and went directly to his wardrobe where he kept the gift he got for Zoe.
“Yeah! This is it” Miles smiled and suddenly he felt an immense pain,he t©uçhed his back and saw blood.
“I’m sorry Miles but I have to do this” Zoe sobbe-d as she stabbe-d him even dee-per so he would bleed more. She swiftly collected Miles’s blood putting it inside a bottle. Miles was still mute, Compared to the stab,his heart was bleeding more.
Zoe ran away after collecting Miles blood.
The blood moon appeared again after twelve years, immediately Melissa and Mason saw it they swiftly drove back to Miles mansion.
“Miles” They both screamed as they c@m£ into his room,only to find Miles in his wolf form. He lost so much blood alre-ady. They both rushed him to the attic facing the blood moon and the three of them disappeared into the blood moon.

“Seeing that the blood moon has appeared,that means Zoe has finally done her job”Luna uttered excitedly.
“She should… We’ve been waiting so long for good news. It’s high time she gives us good news” Oliver said laughing.
“This is a good sign” Kevin added with a smile.
