The whole city has been seriously searching for Diana ever since we reported the case about her sudden disappearance.
At first, I thought she was taken by those same people who wanted her dead. Then I c@m£ to realize that the one person in the city who desperately wants her was her mate.
And if my guess is right, then she’s probably at the wolf pack with him.
After I c@m£ to a conclusion about the source of her disappearance, I st©pped bothering searching for her anymore.
He has finally taken her, and not even the cops can find her. I sat comfortably on my couch with my leg crossed over the other.
My f!ngerswere busy as I typed on my l@pt©p. Tracy walked in, looking upset at the way I showed no concern about Diana’s case.
She has been the over working one for the search and for the past three days, she hasn’t have a good night nap.
” You should be getting re-ady by now and not this. ” She said, pointing at what I was doing.
” Tracy, I realized that we are only w@!sting our time in this search. ” I tried to explain but she wouldn’t listen.
” When has searching for your niece become a w@!st of time, Kel?” She shook her head at me, ” I can’t believe you’re saying this, kel. What do you think you’re gonna say to her parents? ”
” We’ll tell them nothing. ” I simply said.
” Nothing? ” She scoffed.
” Yes, nothing. ”
” Jesus Christ, kel, tell me you’re not being serious about this. ”
” I am, Tracy. ” And she saw how serious I was about it. I held her hand to sit beside me, ” Look, you’ve got to know something, sometimes we ought to be calculative over some cases. ” I adjusted myself on the chair, ” Ap@rt from the killers who hurt Diana, who else do you think might have done this? ” I asked.
Tracy wasn’t that good at guessing, so it was difficult for her to guess who it might be. ” I don’t know. ”
” Come on, babe, think. That one person who wants her so desperately. ”
She thought for awhile, and after a minute of waiting, the two words escaped her mouth, ” The wolf? ” Sounding more like a question.
” The wolf. ” I repeated. ” Now, you see my reasons for feeling so reluctant over the search. ”
” Oh, ” she curved herl-ips in an ‘ o ’ shape, ” why didn’t I realise this for a long time. Urghh. ” She gr-unted angrily, sl@pping her forehead. ” But, do you think she will be safe there? ”
” The wolf packs is the safest place she can ever be. Moreover, her killers won’t be able to find her. ”
” What about Sparrow and the cops, don’t you think they have to know about this? ”
” Not yet, ” I protested. ” Even if we should, we must find something more pres£ntable to tell them. No one has to know about her relationsh!pwith the wolves beside us. ”
Tracy nodded her head in agreement.

I have been awake since 3am, I couldn’t sleep anymore. And even if I wanted, the urge to sleep was gone.
I’m lost in thoughts and I really don’t know what to do. My fate has alre-ady been decided and I can’t do anything about it.
I was staring out of the window, the moon was so beautiful even though it was in it’s half. My dream c@m£ recalling in my memory, that which I had the day I was discharged from the hospital.
First, his voice st©pping me from what I wanted to do, and how obe-dient I felt to it. Then his grip on my wrist, I can’t forget the spark of his t©uçh on me and the sudden weakness to his clos£ness.
He looked adorable in my dream, but when I saw his face in the woods, those adorable face wore nothing but burning anger.
I thought of that moment to be my last, then everything about me will cease to exist. I was likewise hoping it would be the last, then I will have to be free, free from the terror of his threats.
I know being here was my fate, uncle Kelvin always told me that almost everyday. It’s easy to say that but, it’s just so difficult to accept it, especially when your soul mate is an animal.
A girl entered, setting the h0t water re-ady. She shifted the curtains aside, letting the light rays to pene-tratein.
She was so good looking to be a maid, there’s probably going to be a reason behind it, I guess.
” Miss, ” she called, ” Miss? ”
” I’m awake. ” I told her.
” Oh. Your water is re-ady, you may want to take your bath now. ” I sat up on the be-d, stretching. ” And so is your breakfast. ” Her eyes darted to the tray on the table.
” Thanks. ” I said.
” It’s nothing, it’s my job. ” She said with a smile.
” What’s your name? ” I asked. Guess that was actually necessary.
” My name is May, ” she answered.
” I’m Diana. ” I told her, ” Nice to meet you May. ”
” Nice meeting you too, Miss. ”
” Can you just get over with the Miss alre-ady? Just call me Diana, okay? ”
” But… ”
She wanted to refuse but I interrupted. ” Just do it. ”
” Nice meeting you too, Diana. ”
I smiled.
I entered into the bathroom, I sank myself into the tub contained with h0t water, leaving only my head high. I closed my eyes as I sat still in it, loving the way the air blew into the bathroom, resting on my skin.
I felt a hand t©uçh my shoulders, c@r£ss!ngit gently. I quic-kly opened my eyes, looking to my back to see if there was anyone in the bathroom with me.
There was no one, and I could have heard the sound of the door open and close if actually there was anyone.
I shut my eyes close again. Again, the hands rested on my shoulder, trailing down to my che-st. I placed my hands on my che-st, hoping to t©uçh the hands but I ended up tou-ching myself instead.
” Hello? May? ” I called, ” Is there anyone there? ”
” I am, ” I heard her say.
Then what the heck is happening?
I decided not to close my eyes this time, I will have to see who it is if my eyes are both alerted. But it c@m£ again.
This invisible hands held my shoulders, I could feel it on me… I can feel it.
The cold feelings of it’s t©uçh on my skin and the plea-sure which followed after, I didn’t want to resist it anymore.
The feeling was unique, the feeling was new and I have never felt it before, not even with Jake.
The mesmerizing moves was increasing and the pas-sion was growing dee-per. And I was wishing this was reality but… Was it??
It felt real, so real and I will doubt if this was just a dream. I was loving it, and honestly, I wished it would never st©p.
My n!ppl!s were becoming ha-rd and my abd0m£n cried in want. I felt thosel-ips on my cheek, placing a soft k!ssat each sides of my face.
Then on my nose, ma-king its way down to myl-ips when May called. ” Diana? ” I opened my eyes only to find out that indeed, it was just an act of my imagination. ” Diana are you still in there? ” She called again, sounding concerned.
” Yes, I’m almost done. ” I said, frowning at her disturbance.

I stepped out of the bathtub, letting the water on my b©dy fall to the ground. I had one towel tied around my che-st and the another vigorously on my hair.
I got to my room, May had alre-ady dropped two lace go-wn on the be-d. ” Are those for me? ” I asked, pointing at the go-wns.
” Yes. ”
I walked to the mirror, applying the lavender oil on my skin. I went close to the be-d, taking off the towel from my b©dy as it fell flat on the ground.
I had my br@ and p@n-ties on, and with May’s help, I pu-ll-ed myself into the go-wns. The red one wasn’t fitted on me so I had the purple one tested.
It was more fitted but…
” Ahh, ” I gr-unted as she ti-ght£ñed the ropes of the go-wn. After she was done, I took a look at myself at the mirror, observing how high my brea-sts has become in the go-wn.
” Is it supposed to be this way? ” I asked, pointing at my halfway expo-sed brea-sts.
” Uhmm… yes, but I can get you something else if you want. ”
” Yes, plea-se. Like a trou-ser. ”
She picked a black jean trou-sers with a navy blue t-shi-t. I pu-ll-ed myself into it, while she helped me with the makeup.
” You look beautiful, Diana. ” She complimented.
An unnoticeable blus-h painted my cheeks, ” Thank you. ”
” Would you mind for a walk with me? ”
” Yeah, I’d love to. ”
We exited the room, ma-king our way out of the castle. The guards at the entrance door wouldn’t have let me out if not for May.
I un-derstand, they’re only trying to save their n£¢k from their alpha. And hey, I ain’t thinking about running again. I just wanna save my as-s too.
” So… ” I started as we successfully left the building.
” So? ” She asked.
” I don’t know, you tell me. ”
” Something like what? ”
” The pack, of course. Or maybe, why don’t we start from knowing more about you? ” I suggested and she laughed.
” Why do you wanna know about me? ”
” Thought that would be necessary. You know, you’re my new maid right, don’t you think we ought to know more about ourselves. ”
” Well, ” she started. ” you know my name so I don’t think that’s necessary to begin with. So, I’m not the social type, I mean, I ha-rd ly make friends. That’s because I got that annoying trait from my mother, she ba-rely even talk to her neighbor and she always told me that ma-king a friend is like ma-king enemies. ”
” Really? ”
” I don’t know, that’s what she always told me, then I was eight. I was was just so little to know the truth, so I grew up with those words and here I am, always the shy May Parker. ”
” It’s really not your fault for not having anyone to call a close friend, most times our mothers are just trying to protect us from the people around. Just like my mom, ” my voice sounded low, ” she was just so overprotective towards me. I thought she hated me but I was wrong, she was only doing the right thing for me. I was so stubborn to un-derstand her love for me, until I got bitten, then did I know that she was only doing her job. ”
I looked at my wrist, ” I even lost my dog in the process. ”
” What’s his name? ” She asked.
” Micky, he was just a puppy then. It’s been twelve years I last saw him, who knows if he’s alive or dead. ”
” Did he just disappeared? ”
” Micky? Nah, he kinda ran away, I’d say. ”
” Poor him, I’m sure he misses you so much. ”
” I know, and I miss him too. ”
” I heard a lot about you. ” She said.
” Me? ” I asked.
” Yeah, I overheard Micheal and Bella talk about you the night you were brou-ght here. ”
” What did they say? ”
” They said you are a model, I mean, New York’s newest model, is that true? ” She asked.
” What do you think? ”
” I know Micheal and Bella won’t lie, and it’s on your face too. You just look more like a model, I’d say. ”
I chuckled. ” That’s probably because I put on a makeup. ”
” Not just the makeup, you have a nice stature too. ”
” How do you know that? ” I asked, trying to as-sume where she has clearly seen my stature as she claimed.
” You got n-ked at my front, remember? ”
” Oh, ” I said, a bit embarras-sed. ” So, are you like them, I mean the wolves? ”
” Yeah, ” she replied, looking away.
” Are you alright? ”
” Yes, why? ”
I shrugged, ” You just look kinda upset a second ago. ”
” No, I’m alright. I really am. ” She as-sured me with a smile.
” How did it happen? ”
” The Night Walker pack has been ruling my village for almost a century now. According to history, it’s said to have taken over after the war between the two kingdom. At first, it began as a bait, whoever wins will rule the both kingdom at the same time. It’s a poor thing we lost, and since then whatever decision we make must first be approved by the wolves. ”
” Later, that was twenty years ago, they would come to the village to take ten vir-gins. This always happens every year ending and during that period, everyone are said to be at the village field. ”
” What if you aren’t there, like y.. you travelled? ”
” You have to return before that day. ”
” Is that necessary? Besides, they don’t know everyone’s faces, do they? ”
” Werewolves aren’t easily fooled, Diana, they’re more like a higher ranked primates. They’re hundred percent smarter than a normal human being and they can easily detect when one lies, worst still, they’re more like mind re-aders. ”
” Then, I always see them as monsters, and most times the devil himself. But I never knew that humans are the real devil and monster, I saw reasons why I had to believe my mother for not letting me have friends. ”
” Why would you say that? ” I asked, curiosity filled in me.
” The humans attacked us, they killed everything that belonged to me. They took my family, burnt our homes and they made us orphans. Because of this, I accepted to become a wolf. I don’t want to keep living in fear anymore, I wanna protect myself from their threat. ”
I listened to how painful the words left herl-ips, I un-derstand what I was to be tortured by your fellow human. I un-derstand what it feels like to lose someone so dear.
Just as they tried to kill me, it’s always everywhere. It’s something more like an inbuilt nature in them.
” So, how does it feels to be a wolf? ”
” It feels safe. You’re able to protect yourself, you develop special abilities not even the strongest human can posses. ”
” Can you… ” Pointing at her eyes, ” can you show me? ”
She nodded. Closing her eyes then opening it, I could see the golden yellow colour of her eyes. It shun almost like a sun, and I felt like staring at it for long.
” It’s… it’s so beautiful. ” She closed her eyes and opened it again, the golden color was gone. ” Can you turn too? ”
” Yeah, but only when necessary. ”
We heard the sound of car parked, staring at the direction of the car, Bella stepped out. Bella looked at our direction, waving at us, we waved back.
” I don’t know why you hate the wolves, but as long as you stay here, you’ll get to know the real truth about us and… about him. ” she said, referring to the alpha.

I walked throu-gh the hallway of the quiet castle, thinking over my previous conversation with May. It’s been four days I’ve stayed here, and I’m still working on getting used to everything here.
I stood outside at the balcony, feeling the cold air in my skin. Why do I feel so comfortable here? Why do I feel a bit home here?
I was staring at the moon that I didn’t know when Bella stood beside me. ” Hey, ” she called.
I flin-ched at her voice, ” hey, ”
” Hope you enjoyed your day? ” She asked me.
” Yes,” I said with a nod.
” I’m happy you’re getting used to the castle, how did you see this place? ”
” It’s… so beautiful and the gardens, I love it so much. Can I always go there? ”
” As long as you belong here, you’re free to go wherever you want to go as well as do whatever you want to do. This is your home, Diana, your freedom. ”
” Can I ask you a question? ”
” Yes, sure. ”
” Why do I keep hearing howling sound every night, I mean, it isn’t full moon yet. ”
She smiled, ” It’s the wolf scout, they petrol the territory against our enemies. Each time they howl, it’s a sign of communication. Do you always get scared whenever you hear it? ”
” Honestly, I do. But I’m just trying to get use to it. ”
Bella laughed at me, ” It’s okay for you to. Well, I brou-ght this for you. ” She brou-ght out a silver n£¢klace which has a purple diamond shaped structure at it’s middle.
” Wow, it’s so beautiful.”
” Yeah, a friend of mine gave it to me.”
” You must mean special to her. ” I said.
She just smiled, ” I do. ” Her expression changed to a sad one, ” She gave it to me before she died, ”
” Oh, I’m so sorry. ”
” No, you don’t have to. That’s why I want to give it to you. Everytime I look at you, you remind me of her, I think you deserve this more than I do. ”
She wore it around my n£¢k, my hand kept feeling the ha-rd texture of the diamond structure as I admired it’s beauty.
” Thank you. ”
” It’s a sign of our friendsh!p. ”
