“It just happened to be a coincidence. Cheng might have turned into a demon on the night your mother died, but he wasn’t the one who killed her, the King himself killed your mother.

Osvaldo made some incantations, and Isha appeared on the mirror.
“Why did you summon me? Didn’t things turn out well?” Isha asked.
“Of course it did. Cheng is now a demon, he destroyed so many things in the palace, and everyone in the palace is hating on him, sooner or later, he is going to be hated by everyone in Maelstrom” Osvaldo said, smiling.
“Are you happy?” Isha asked.
“Of course I am happy Isha. I have finally gotten what I wanted, and since I have been a good father to Cheng, no one will ever think I am the reason he became a demon” Osvaldo said, and the tray Zain’s mother was holding, fell down from her hand.
“I… I… I… didn’t hear anything you said” She said, rushing to leave, but Osvaldo ordered her to stop walking.
“I forbid you to leave this room!” He ordered and Zain’s mother halted her feet, shaking in fear, and when she turned to look at him, Osvaldo killed her with a sword.
“Since you already know I am the person responsible for Cheng transforming into a demon, you have to die, and I am going to make everyone in the palace believe that you died when Cheng attacked the palace with his dark magic.”
⟨ FLASHBACK ENDS ≈ PRESENT DAY ⟩
“I have to make him pay for killing my mother” Zain said with so much anger in his eyes. He tried to walk a way, but Tatiana stopped him for doing us.
“Killing him is just a piece of cake, Zain” Tatiana said.
“What do you want me to do, that man needs to pay for everything he has done to my mother. He killed my mother!!” Zain said, loudly.
“Don’t let your anger get the best of you. If you kill him right now, you will be labeled as a bad person. No one will actually believe that Osvaldo is a bad man” Tatiana said.
“What should I do then? Ignore everything like it never happened?” Zain asked, with watery eyes.
“Leave everything to me Zain. Osvaldo also hurt the man I love, and I have to make him pay for everything he has done to Cheng. Everyone must find out that he is not a good man like he claims to be. Don’t grant him death so easily, he shall beg for death, but death will never come, that the kind of punishment I want for Osvaldo and Isha” Tatiana said.
“Why do you want to punish my father Tatiana?” Waylon asked, looking at both Tatiana and Zain.

⟨ ZAIN’S HOUSE ≈ SAME NIGHT ⟩
“Can you stop crying, my ears hurts from hearing your cries” Anisha said to Kenji.
“I was so mean to him Anisha, what if he reports me to the King, and my head is being chopped off for mistreating the last prince of Maelstrom” Kenji said crying.
“Well, that’s what you get for mistreating Ansel…. I mean Prince Jai. But if he wanted you dead, you’d have been dead” Anisha said.
“You were nice to him, aren’t you mad at him for lying to you?” Kenji asked cleaning his tears.
“No I am not mad at him. I kind of understand why he lied to me. If he had introduce himself as the last prince of Maelstrom, we won’t have talked to him informally. We’d have been scared to talk to him. Prince Jai wanted us to be friends and that’s why he lied about his identity” Anisha said, smiling.
“Is easy for you to say, because you have been nice to him”.
“No one asked you to be mean to him. I understand that you were jealous I have another friend apart from you, but that didn’t give you any right to treat him badly”
“What should I do?” Kenji asked.
“I don’t know. You have to find a way to apologize to him, as for me, I am going to ask my royalty friend to give me a tour around in the palace” Anisha said, smiling.
“Stop daydreaming, because it’s never going to happen” Kenji said.
“What makes you think he won’t give me a tour around the palace?” Anisha asked with her hands on her waist.
“He might be a prince, but doesn’t mean he has a say in the palace, which means he can’t bring you to the palace, and even if your brother is working for the king, a commoner will always be a commoner” Kenji said, and Anisha frowned her face.

“Why aren’t you sleeping Cheng?” Queen Vanya asked sitting beside Cheng. He was still outside looking at the moon.
“I couldn’t sleep no matter how ha-rd I tried to mother” Cheng said.
“Is it because of Tatiana?” Queen Vanya asked, and Cheng looked at her with a sad smile.
“She is the only one who can make me sad like this mother” Cheng said.
“Have you tried talking to her?”
“I have mother, but she is refusing to say a word to me, all she keeps saying is I shouldn’t touch or come close to her, that I am going to get hurt” Cheng said with misty eyes.
“I am sure she is going to come around, just be patient with her” Vanya said, caressing his back.
“I hope so mother. I missed the relationship I had with Tiana. Back then, it was filled with so much love and care for each other, but now it as if we are separating from each other, as the day goes by” He said, and tears slowly fall down his eyes.
“Don’t be saddened Cheng, everything will be fine. Relationship always have its sweetness and bitterness. Right now what you are going throu-ghis the bitter taste of your relationship with Tatiana, but like I said earlier, she is going to come around, and the sweetest taste of your relationship will resume, alright” Vanya said, cleaning Cheng’s tears.
“Thank you so much for everything Mother”
“Don’t thank me Cheng, if your mother was still alive, she would have done more” Vanya said caressingly his hair, and Cheng smiled at her.

⟨ A LOCATION IN MAELSTROM ≈ SAME NIGHT ⟩
“So tell me Tatiana, why do you want to punished my father, and who is Isha, because the Isha I was about to know is dead?” Waylon asked, Zain was so also present with them.
“Your father is not what he claims to be Waylon” Tatiana said, and Waylon furrowed his eyebrows.
“What do you mean by that Tatiana?” He asked.
“Your father is among those that possessed Cheng with the power of the demon” Tatiana said, and Waylon’s eyes went wide opened.
“You are joking right? My father loves Cheng so much, and he wouldn’t make Cheng’s life miserable” Waylon said.
“That is what he made you believe, that he loves Cheng, but he doesn’t love him”
“Can you elaborate what you are saying, because right now, I am not understanding you” Waylon said, with a confused face.
Tatiana sighed and said. I don’t want to say this but I guess I will have to tell you both, so you can believe me. I couldn’t tell Cheng because I know he won’t agree to me helping him, because I am going to disappear for good”
“Disappear for good, what does that mean?” Zain asked.
“I am Gretchen, powerful guidance of the forest and seven seas”
“Guidance of the forest and seven seas? Does that mean you are not human?” Waylon asked.
“You are right Waylon I am not human, and I am running out of time, so that’s why I want to save Cheng before I no longer exist in this world” Tatiana said.
“What do you mean by that Tatiana?” Waylon asked, with a sullen face. Hearing from her that she is not human and will disappear for life, is already breaking his heart so much.
He’s feelings for Tatiana was still intact.
“That’s not what is at stake right now Waylon. Like I say, what is important to me is saving Cheng, and in order to do so, I read his birth, and that’s when I found out that your father and a dark witch that goes by the name Isha are the ones who possessed Cheng and made his life miserable” Tatiana said.
“But why will my father do that to Cheng. Cheng is his son” Waylon said.
“Osvaldo is not the father of Cheng. Cheng’s parents are dead, because your father killed them to keep the throne to himself” Tatiana said.
“I might be five years old when Cheng was born, but I can remember the throne actually belonged to Marcus and Rina, but after they ran away, my father solely became the king of Maelstrom” Waylon said.
“They didn’t run away Waylon, your father was the one who killed them, and made everyone think they ran away, and they’re Cheng’s real parents. The reason why he made everyone to hate Cheng is because he wants to handle the throne over to you” Tatiana said.
“Why will my father do that? I am not even the first Prince of Maelstrom” Waylon said.
“You are the first son of Osvaldo”
“What do you mean Tatiana? What about Thiago?” Waylon asked.
“Thiago is not Osvaldo’s son” Tatiana said.
“Thiago is not my father’s son, then who is he?” Waylon asked, with so many surprised on his face.
“I was curious to know why your father will want you to be king, when Thiago is his first son. So I read everything about him (Thiago), and I found out he’s not the real son of your father. The only children your father have is you, Narmada and Jai”
“Does Queen Anjali knows about it?” Zain asked.
“No she doesn’t. To her Thiago is her son. Unknown to Anjali, she lost her baby on the night she gave birth, and since Osvaldo wanted to claim the throne from Marcus, since he was unable to have a child, he took Thiago from his mother, and made Anjali believe Thiago is her son” Tatiana said.
“So my dad is this evil?” Waylon asked with so much disappoinment.
“Yes he is Waylon. He’s also the one who killed Zain’s mother just to hide the evils he has done. Cheng’s miserable life all started with your father”
“What should we do? Even if Cheng is not my blood brother, I still want to help him. How do we make my father pay for everything he has done?” Waylon asked, with so much anger in his eyes.
“Malia. We have to release Malia from the dungeon Osvaldo locked her”
“Malia is still alive?” Waylon asked.
“Yes she is still alive. She is not the real mother of Cheng, Osvaldo fooled all of you to think that she is dead, but she’s not dead. For good 23 years, Osvaldo kept her locked up, so she won’t say the truth about what she knows, and in order to make Osvaldo pay for everything he has done, we will be needing Malia’s help, and as for Isha, I can handle her myself” Tatiana said, with a serious look on her face.

“What are you doing here brother Thiago?” Jai asked when Thiago entered his room.
“I heard from your maids that you have been moody, is everything okay? Do you feel sick?” Thiago asked.
“Since when did you start worrying about me? From what I can remember, you don’t care if I exist”Jai said.
Thiago smiled and sits beside him. “Sorry if I have always been neglecting you, is just that I don’t feel the bond between us” Thiago said, and Jai looked at him.
“But I will try my best to be close to you, so why are you sad?” Thiago asked, smiling.
“Don’t be mad ok, but recently I made new friends outside the palace” Jai said.
“How did that happen?”
“Scholar Marcellus always takes me out of the palace, so I made new friends, but I lied to them about my Identity, but they found out I am the last prince of Maelstrom”
“What was their reaction?” Thiago asked.
“I didn’t wait to know about their reaction, immediately they found out that I was a prince, I ran away. I’m afraid that they’re mad at me for lying to them” Jai said.
“Do you want to know if they are mad at you for lying to them?” Thiago asked, wrapping his arm on Jai’s neck.
“Will you help me?” Jai asked, and Thiago nodded his head smiling.

“So you can’t control Cheng anymore thanks to Tatiana?” Osvaldo asked.
“I told you before right? Tatiana already regain her powers. I don’t know when she is leaving the human world, but as long as she’s still with Cheng, her powers will always cover him”
“I want Waylon to be King. He’s my first son, and I want him to keep the throne to himself, but with everyone saying Cheng should be king, is what I don’t want to accept” Osvaldo said.
“You have to sacrifice your daughter in order to do. If Narmada dies throu-ghblood rites and sacrifice, Cheng will go wild, and the hatred people have for him will return, and it will be very difficult for Tatiana to take out the demon from his body. It’ll be like fighting a lost battle” Isha said.
“Then go ahead. Use Narmada for the blood rites and sacrifice” Osvaldo said without a blink.
