Tatiana took in a de-ep breath and out, her hands shines white, and she resumes reading about Cheng’s birth.
“I knew it!! I knew the moment that you spoke, that you are Osvaldo. How could you kill your nephew and his wife!!” Malia shouted at him.
“He is about to take the throne from me Malia” Osvaldo said.
“The throne wasn’t yours in the first place, it belongs to Marcus”
“Do you think I will just step down from the throne without a fight? I have always wanted the throne for myself, and that’s why I always send herbs to Rina, which will enable her to lose her baby, but she didn’t lose her baby this time around” Osvaldo said.
“You are a monster Osvaldo!!! I am going to tell everyone how much of a wicked man you are!!!” Malia yells at him, and Osvaldo smirked.
“How are you going to do so, when you are locked up in here?” He asked.
“Don’t tell me you are going to keep me lock up forever?” Malia asked, looking at him.
“You already know I am the master mind behind the death of Marcus and his wife, and since I don’t want to kill you, you will remain locked up in here, because to everyone, they believe you are the mother of Cheng, and you died while giving birth to him”
“What about your daughter? What about her!!!” Malia shouted, with tears falling down her eyes.
“She has already been thrown away, and there’s nothing I can do about it” Osvaldo said, without a blink.
“Find my daughter!!! Give me back my daughter!!!” Malia yells, crying.
“The deal has already been done, and there’s no going back. The throne should remain in our bloodline, and since Cheng is not my son, I will just get rid of him, before he grows up and decides to take the throne from my son” Osvaldo said, leaving.
“You are a monster!!! Give me back my daughter!!!” Malia cries, trying to break free from the chains tied around her.

⟨ STILL ON CHENG’S BIRTH ≈ PALACE OF MAELSTROM ≈ A ROOM ⟩
Osvaldo entered the room and sees Vanya nursing baby Cheng.
“Is he finally asleep?” He asked, faking a smile, that appeared real to Vanya.
Vanya looked at Osvaldo and smiled.
“Yes he is. Cheng is so cute, he doesn’t take after you” She said smiling.
“Babies sometimes come on their own” Osvaldo said, secretly glaring at Cheng.
“You are right. Malia has always wanted to have her own baby, but too saddened, she couldn’t live to take care of her own child, and that’s why I will do my best in raising Cheng. I am going to shower him with all the love that I can give” Vanya said, smiling, but her smiled slowly disappeared.
“Don’t you find Marcus and Rina strange?” She asked.
“How?” Osvaldo asked.
“Marcus has always wanted to have a baby so he could take back the throne, and that his wife finally conceived, why did they have left Maelstrom without informing anyone? I talked the bodyguards and maids who were present when Rina gave birth, but they couldn’t give me a definite answer” Vanya said.
“Maybe he no longer wants the throne, and decided to settle down somewhere else” Osvaldo said.
“You think so?” She asked.
“That’s the only answer I can come up with Vanya” Osvaldo said, and Vanya sighed.
A maid came in and bowed her head to both Vanya and Osvaldo.
“Princess Narmada is awake now, and she needs your attention” The maid said.
Narmada was three months ago when Cheng was brou-ght into the world.
“Go ahead and look after your daughter, I will take care of Cheng” Osvaldo sad, taking baby Cheng from her.
After Vanya left with the maid, Osvaldo threw baby Cheng to the bed.
“If I had known you were not my son, I won’t have kept you alive” Osvaldo said with so much hatred in his eyes.
“You are the rightful heir to the throne, and I can’t let you fulfill such destiny” He said, and took a pillow, pressing the pillow on Cheng’s face, so Cheng will run out of breath and die.
But no matter how ha-rd he pressed the pillow on the little Cheng, he didn’t run out of breath. He was still sleeping peacefully.
“Why can’t you just die!!” Osvaldo yells at Cheng, frustratingly.

⟨ STILL ON CHENG’S BIRTH ≈ ISHA’S CAVE ⟩
“What do you mean I won’t be able to kill that little baby boy?” Osvaldo asked Isha.
“He is destiny to live for a very long time, and as such, he won’t die unti his 120 years old, he was blessed by the heavens to live for long” Isha said.
“I can’t let him take over the throne. He is not my son, and in order for anyone not to find out that I am not his father, he has to die. I want Waylon to take over the throne, not Cheng who was born with the king’s star” Osvaldo said.
“I have a way that will prevent Cheng from accessing the throne, or fulfilling his destiny of being Love by many, but you have to play the role of a good and supporting father to Cheng. If you support and love Cheng, no one will ever suspect that you have a hand in what will happen to him” Isha said.
“What will you do with him?”
“Possessing him with the powers of a Demon”
“Powers of a demon? That means Cheng is going to have dark magic?” Osvaldo asked.
“Yes, but I will always control him to do evil, and that will make a lot of people hate him, and no one will want to have him as the king of Maelstrom” Isha said, and Osvaldo smiled.
“You are a genius Isha. Possess him with the powers of a demon, and make him suffer” Osvaldo said, smiling.
“For that to happen you will have to wait still he is thirteen years old” Isha said.
“Why thirteen years old?” He asked.
“He is still a baby, and might not understand what I am saying anytime I control him, and in order to invoke the demon inside Cheng’s body, I have to wake up the demon spirit that has been locked up for years” Isha said.
“I guess I should wait still he’s thirteen years ago, right?”
“Yes, and why doing so, make sure you shower him with lots of love so no one will suspect you, make them believe he’s your favorite, and you kind of want him to be king, by doing so, no one will ever find you suspicious” Isha said and Osvaldo nodded his head.
Tatiana opened her eyes after she has seen the person she wants to see.
She looked at Cheng who was still sleeping, and tears falls down her eyes, she badly wanted to kis-s his li-ps, but knowing the outcome if she does, she withdraws from kis-sing him.
“Don’t worry Cheng, now that I know the people behind your predicament, I am going to stop them and set you free. I hope you be be happy when I no longer exist” Tatiana said, and leaves the room, and after she left, Cheng opened his eyes.
“What happened to me? I thought Tiana was here earlier, so where did she go?” Cheng mumbled to himself, wearing a sullen face.

⟨ THE KING’S CHAMBER ⟩
“What brings you here Tatiana?” Osvaldo asked, Tatiana held the hems of her kimono, before smiling at him
“I just want to check up on you” She said faking a smile.
“Why?”
“I don’t see anything wrong if I check on my father-in-law, right? I am Cheng’s betrothed” She said.
“Oh that’s right, I heard you are distancing yourself from Cheng, is everything ok?” He asked, and Tatiana faked a smile.
“Yes. I just need sometime alone, but I will be in his arms soon”
“Alright. Have you noticed anything about yourself?” He asked.
“Anything like what?” Tatiana asked, pretending not to have any idea what Osvaldo was asking. She knew he was trying to ask if she has regained her powers.
“I don’t know Tatiana, just anything that’s not of the usual” He said.
“No, your Majesty” She said and Osvaldo nodded his head.
“I will take my leave now” She said turning her back to leave, and she could feel Osvaldo, hatefully looking at her.
*Enjoy while it still last Osvaldo, because in no time, I am going to let everyone know what kind of a man you are, and in doing so, I am going to need Malia’s help” Tatiana said inwardly, before leaving the king’s chamber.

⟨ NEXT DAY ≈ JAI’S STUDY ROOM ⟩
“Are you all right scholar Marcellus, you are sounding like a broken record, I can’t understand what you are trying to say” Jai said, and Marcellus sighed.
“I am sorry Prince Jai, let’s start all over again” He said, and Jai covered the book.
“It’s unlike you to be this dull while teaching me, what’s going on scholar Marcellus?” Jai asked.
“It’s matters of the heart Jai, so you won’t understand”
“Then make me understand. I know I am still a kid, but we have come a long way together” Jai said, and Marcellus takes in his li-ps, sadly.
“It’s Swati. I can’t find her”
“What happened to her?”
“My ex-father threw her out of the house, and since last night I have been looking for her, but I can’t find any trace of where she could be” Marcellus said sniffing back his tears.
“You must love her a lot, right?”
“Yes I do. I regret not telling her about my feelings for her on time. I wish I can just see her right now, and hug her so tightly”
“Don’t worry Scholar Marcellus, as long as Swati is still in Maelstrom, you are going to find her, you haven’t search properly, so don’t lose hope” Jai said smiling.
“Thanks Jai”
“Do you want to go out and get some fresh air?” Jai asked smiling.
“Do you want your mother to shout at me?”
“We already left the palace without getting caught, so what makes you think we will get caught now?” Jai asked and Marcellus smile.

“I wonder why I haven’t seen Ansel since the day he left the bibliotheca, after he gave me the books about the stars” Anisha said as she walk with Kenji.
“Why would you even care about that Ansel?”
“C’mon Kenji, Ansel is our friend” Anisha said.
“But we don’t know anything about him, except for his name, we shouldn’t be hanging out with….”
“Look Kenji, it’s Ansel” Anisha squealed excitedly, when she saw Jai looking at some Kimonos.
“Oh, I see” Kenji muttered jealously
“Let’s go to where he is Kenji” Anisha said, taking Kenji’s hand, and they both went to meet Jai.
“Ansel!” Anisha called him, and Jai got startled.
“Anisha, Kenji…. What brings you here” He stuttered.
“Why are you sounding that way Ansel? Do we look like ghosts to you?” Kenji asked and before Jai could speak up, Marcellus approach them.
“Prince Jai, we should go back to the palace, before they start looking for you” Marcellus said.
“Prince Jai!!!” Anisha and Kenji shrieked surprisedly, looking at Jai.

⟨ PALACE OF MAELSTROM ⟩
Narmada’s puckers her li-ps as her stomach rumbles. She hasn’t eaten for 64 hours, and she is very hungry.
“I am so hungry, what should I do?” Narmada mumbled holding her Tommy.
“Should I just step out for a while, eat something and then run back to my room before Zain will see me?” Narmada asked herself.
After few hours of anticipating whether to go out from room or not, she decided to come out from her room.
She walked to the door, and brou-ght out her head first, and when she saw no one, she came out from her room, tip toeing towards the kitchen.
She has already dismissed her maids and bodyguards, so there was no one to run an errand for her.
Narmada was still tip toeing to the kitchen, when she saw Zain coming her way, and she quickly hide herself, and after Zain pa-ssed her, she came out from her hidden place.
“This palace is so big, so why am I always seeing him. Maybe I should have told him I am a princess” Narmada said frustrating.
“So you are a princess?” Zain asked behind her, and Narmada froze after she heard Zain’s voice. She slowly turn to look at him, and she could see the anger in Zain’s eyes.
“You are the princess of Maelstrom, no wonder you are always hiding from me” Zain said.
“You knew I was hiding from you?”
“Of course, I was quick to see you before you could hide, and I kept asking myself why you were hiding from your lover, then I thought maybe you became a maid in the palace and didn’t want me to know about it, but it turns out that you are the princess of Maelstrom”
“Zain let me explain…”
“What exactly did you want to explain Narmada? About how you lied to me, huh!!!” Zain shouted at her, as tears falls down his eyes.
“I lied to you because I was afraid you won’t talk to me if you find out I am a princess. You hated the royal family, and I didn’t want to lose you because I love you Zain”
“How can you say you love me when your family is the Master mind behind what happened to my mother. I told you countless times about not knowing how my mother died, but you acted like you know nothing!!!”
“I am sorry Zain, I’m so sorry” Narmada said, crying.
“Since you are a princess, it means you know how my mother died, so tell Narmada, was Cheng the one who killed my mother?” He asked with misty eyes.
“Zain”
“Stop calling my name and tell me the truth!!! Was Cheng the one who killed my mother, answer me Narmada!!!” Zain shouted at her.
“Yes he did. Your mother was part of the people that died on the night Cheng transformed into a demon ten years ago” Narmada said crying, Zain tried to walk away, but Narmada quickly held his hand.
“Where are you going Zain?” She asked.
“I am going to make that demon pay for killing my mother”
“Is dangerous Zain, please don’t do it” She said, crying.
“You have no right to tell me what to do. I hate you Narmada” Zain said, and forcefully took his hand from her.
Narmada landed on the floor as a result of how he took her hand, and Zain walked away without caring about her.
*I hate you Narmada* This four words replayed in Narmada’s ear, and it made her cry her eyes out.

⟨ MASTER GU’S HOUSE ≈ NIGHT ⟩
“Swati” Marcellus said, hugging her tightly. He went back to masters Gu’s house and found her there.
Marcellus broke the hug, caressing her face. “Where have you been Swati? I was worried about you” He said.
“You shouldn’t have come here Marcellus”
“Why not Swati?”
“Your father doesn’t approve of me” She said as tears falls down her eyes.
“I don’t care if he approves of you or not, what matters to me is you”
“But I don’t know anything about myself, I don’t know who my family is” Swati said.
“It doesn’t matter Swati, you can always create a new family with me”
“Marcellus”
“I love you Swati, I am so much in love with you, my ex-father won’t be a problem, because I have stop being his son, be mine Swati, and we will both build our own family together” Marcellus said with lots of emotions in his eyes
“I love you too Marcellus, I love you so much” Swati said,and hug-ged him, as balls of tears falls down her eyes.
Marcellus smiled, and wrapped his arms around her slender body, kis-sing her hair.

⟨ BACK IN THE PALACE ≈ SAME NIGHT ⟩
Zain spotted Cheng from a distance, and he was busy looking at the full moon, and in his eyes, lies a lot of sadness.
“If I can’t fight you, then I have to kill you secretly” Zain said with so much anger I’m his eyes, as he aimed for Cheng, with the arrows and bows in hand.
He tried shooting at Cheng, but the arrows got destroyed before it could get to Cheng.
“Why are you trying to kill him?” Tatiana asked.
Zain looked at her and said, “It’s none of your business” He said and aimed for Cheng again, but Tatiana destroyed the arrows with her white magic.
“What exactly is your problem!!”
“My problem is you, try to kill the love of my life again, and I won’t spare you” Tatiana said, more like a warning.
Zain ignored her threat and tried shooting the arrows at Cheng, Tatiana moved her hand, and Zain landed on the wall.
“Who exactly are you?” Zain asked.
“You don’t have to know who I am” Tatiana said, and held his hand, and she instantly read everything about him.
“You seek revenge for the death of your mother, but you are aiming for the wrong person” Tatiana said.
“What are you trying to say?”
“Cheng is no not the person that killed your mother, it was the king, because your mother find out that he is the reason why Cheng transformed into a demon ten years ago”
