ZOEY’S PLACE**
“Do you really think Adelaide and the princess are Friends?” Luna asked as she entered Aria’s room.
Since they returned from the palace,Aria has refused to say a word
“How can she do that to me? Mom fed her for years,how can she allow me to miss such great opportunity? I hate her,I hate her so much. I’ve always dreamed to dance in the royal ball,how could she” Aria said in tears and Luna sighed
“What are you going to do now?”she asked and sat down on the bed
“I don’t know okay? I Just wish she can disappear,I hate her existence!” Aria screamed
The door opened and Zoey entered
“What’s going on here?” She asked
“Mother,we saw Adelaide at the palace” Luna said
“So what? I’m sure she’s a slave there too” Zoey said looking uninterested
“Yes she’s a maid,but she just made me loose my chance to participate in the ball” Aria scoffed
“How?” Zoey asked immediately
“The princess had to ask Adelaide to decide my fate and that witch declined” Aria said
“What?!” Zoey’s eyes wide-ned
Aria explained everything to her
“How dare she!! How could she do that to you?” Zoey shouted angrily and Aria broke into tears
“You don’t even know how heart broken I am,she made a fool of me” she muttered

PALACE**
“He’s going to get too weak” Jimmy mumbled as he watched Carl during the sword practice.
He was looking so tired already but he didn’t stop
“And he said he’s okay?” Jimmy scoffed
Suddenly Carl stopped and started walking toward him,Jimmy threw him a bottle of water and he caught it.
“Why are you here?” Carl asked,sitting down beside Jimmy
“Because I am worried you might hurt yourself with too much stress” Jimmy said
“You should be worried about yourself not me” Carl scoffed and Jimmy smiled
“Did something happened? Why can’t you tell me?” He pouted and blinked his eyes cutely like a girl
“You look ugly while doing that” Carl muttered,sipping from the water again
“We both know I am even more handsome than you so stop the act and tell me what’s wrong with you” Jimmy said
Carl sighed and gulped down the whole water
“The princess is in love with me” He muttered and Jimmy’s eyes went wide
“What? She told you that?” He asked and Carl nodded
“So what did you tell her?” Jimmy asked curiously
“What else? I’m not interested” Carl mumbled
“We both know that’s a lie right?” Jimmy raised his brows
“What do you expect me to say?? I’m not ready to get beheaded” Carl scoffed
Jimmy sighed
“But you feel the same for her” he muttered
“She will get over me soon,she deserves someone better not a guard” Carl said

Kai was pacing in front of the maid’s quarter while waiting for Eleanor when he suddenly heard some footsteps,he turned back instantly only to find Esmeralda.
He looked away and continue pacing,Esmeralda smiled inwardly and adjusted her sleep wear which was looking short.
She walked closer to him and stood in front of him
“Hey” She called with a seducing smile
Kai looked at her
“Is there a problem?” He asked
“I guess you don’t know me,I’m Esmeralda” She said
“Am I supposed to know you?” Kai asked and Esmeralda took her li-ps in
“What’s your name?” She asked
“Stop asking questions,I’m not interested” Kai said
“Kai” Eleanor came out and he immediately turned
“Hey” He smiled,walking closer to Eleanor
Esmeralda frowned,glaring at Eleanor angrily before walking away
“How’s your leg?” Kai asked
“I’m perfectly fine,thank you” Eleanor replied and grinned
“Why are you grinning?” Kai asked
“I met you talking to Esmeralda,do you like her?” She asked
“What are you talking about?? How can I like that girl?” Kai scoffed
“Why not? You’re just blinded by Adel that’s all” Eleanor said
“Are you mocking me? That girl is not my type,I hate her eyes especially” Kai said
“But she likes you,just by her attitude,oh Kai king of girls” Eleanor teased
“Are you seriously going to keep on teasing me?” Kai gro-aned and Eleanor laughed.
“Fine,I’m sorry. I will stop” She said and Kai rolled his eyes.
“Did you come empty handed?” Eleanor asked when they sat down together
“I should be the one asking that,you work in the kitchen” Kai said and faced her
Eleanor also turned to him with a cute smile
Kai’s eyes went to her li-ps,he immediately pushed her head backward
“Ouch” Eleanor frowned
“What was that for!” She snapped
“Stop acting that way,it’s not cute” Kai said
“That’s my business not yours dumba-ss” Eleanor said and stood up
“Where are you going?” Kai grabbed her hand and pulled her back
“You should be looking for ways to win Adel’s heart and stop acting silly” Eleanor scoffed
“That’s right,but my heart beats always race anytime I’m beside her” Kai mumbled
“Lover boy” Eleanor chuckled
Kai stared at her or a minute and suddenly stood up
“Are you leaving?” Eleanor asked
“Yeah,let’s go. I will walk you back in” Kai said and Eleanor also stood up
Kai touched her hair when they got back to the maids quarter
“Goodnight” He muttered
“Bye dummy” Eleanor smiled and went in
Kai rou-ghhis hair and walked away

KING’S CHAMBER**
Adelaide’s eyes roam all around the room as she lie on the bed,the king suddenly had something to attend to and he left the bedroom.
She let out a smile and hug-ged one of the pillows to herself
She suddenly heard the door opening and she shut her eyes immediately,,she could feel his presence in the room already and her nervousness increased.
Lucian turned and his eyes met with the sleeping Adelaide,he sat on the bed gently while he continue staring at her all over. From her eyes which was closed to her nose and then her li-ps,she really look so perfect.
He started leaning closer to her face and slowly his li-ps met with Adelaide’s own,he was surprised when Adelaide opened up and ki-ssed him back. He broke the ki-ss
“Aren’t you sleeping?” He asked
“Are you trying to steal a ki-ss from your maid while she’s sleeping?” Adelaide asked and opened her eyes
King Lucian chuckled and lie on the bed beside her
“My king” Adelaide called and he faced her
“Are you coming from the mistress?” She asked
“Why?” Lucian asked
“I heard she’s pregnant” Adelaide muttered and took her bottom li-p in
“That’s right,but I’m not coming from her” King Lucian said
“Can I move closer?” She asked and shifted closer before he could reply
She wrapped her arms around him and closed her eyes
‘I wish I can sleep here every night’ she thought inwardly
King Lucian couldn’t take his eyes off her but he didn’t make any move,he also closed his eyes and slept off.
******
NEXT MORNING★KITCHEN**
Adelaide and Eleanor were both working and talking at the same time when Nadia And Melita stopped in front of them
“Hey Adelaide,where did you slept last night?” Nadia asked and Adelaide looked up
The other maids also turned
“What do you mean?” Adelaide asked
“Are you joking? You didn’t sleep in the room last night,so where were you?” Melita snapped
“I’m sure she slept in one of the guards room,she looks like a prostitute after all” One of the maids said and they all laughed
“How dare you talk to her like that!!” Eleanor yelled and almost rushed toward the maid but Adelaide pulled her back
“Of course you should stop her,I’m saying the truth anyway. Whore” The maid smirked
“How was the guard you slept with? Bet he fuc-k ed you really hard” Nadia said and they all laughed
Eleanor faced Adelaide angrily
“Are you kidding me right now? How can you keep quiet while they keep saying shits?” She asked
“I’m fine,you don’t have to answer them” Adelaide muttered and continue walking
Soon,their attentions left her and they started gossiping again
“Why are you in the kitchen? Are you not supposed to stay with the princess?” A maid asked one of Lisa’s maids
“The princess is in a bad mood,she keeps chasing everyone away,I wonder what happened. She cried a lot last night” The maid replied and immediately Adelaide stopped what she was doing
“You can do the rest right? I need to see the princess” Adelaide said
“Yeah,go” Eleanor nodded and Adelaide walked out of the kitchen
She walked to Lisa’s suite and knocked gently
“Go away!!” Lisa yelled from inside
“It’s Adelaide” Adelaide said and there was silence
She slowly opened the door and went in
Lisa was lying on the bed with red eyes,rou-ghhair and she looked weak
“Are you okay?” Adelaide asked as she sat on the bed
Lisa shook her head and broke into tears before hugging Adelaide
“I’m heart broken” Lisa said
“What?”
“My crush does not want me,he said it to my face” Lisa cried
“Who is he?” Adelaide asked
“Carl” Lisa muttered
“The King’s guard?” Adelaide asked immediately
“I love him so much Adelaide,I don’t know how it started but I’m in love with him. I don’t know what to do to make him fall in love with me,I feel like dying after he rejected me last night” Lisa said,crying more.
Adelaide sighed and started rubbing her back
“It’s okay,I’m sure he’s just afraid. You know he’s the king’s guard” Adelaide said
“Are you sure it’s because of that? I want him so badly” Lisa said
“Don’t worry princess,trust me he will come around” Adelaide said while Lisa continue crying silently on her shoulder

THE DEITIES HOUSE**
The second deity,The preserver was busy making something like a herb in a pot. She stood in front of it,staring at the colourless liquid in the pot. She opened her palm on it and the liquid started steaming aggressively.
She snapped her fingers and the steaming stopped,everything became still.
The first deity came in
“What are you doing?” She asked and the second deity smiled
“Making some Seu Leaves” The second deity replied
“Seu leave,for what? You’ve not made that in years” First deity said
“We will be needing it soon,believe me” Second deity smiled and started turning the liquid with her eyes
First deity raised her head and stared at the weather
“It’s almost time” She muttered and turned back to the second deity who was already busy again

SUIDAN PALACE★KING’S LIBRARY**
“What are you planning to do about your mistress?” Liam asked as they both walked round the library,checking out some books
“Nothing” Lucian replied
“What if she produces the heir? You will make her the queen?” Liam asked
“I don’t want to think about it Liam” King Lucian muttered
“I guess you’re confused” Liam said
“Totally,I don’t have it in mind to get close to Matilda aside from this” King Lucian said
“It’s obvious she developed some feelings for you” Liam said
“I guess so” Lucian scoffed
“But,you don’t have anyone in mind?” Liam asked
Lucian stopped for a while
“It’s complicated” He mumbled

Eleanor entered the garden to pick some flowers
“You’re here” Jimmy called from the tree and Eleanor looked up
“Should I start calling you a monkey from now on? Why are you always on the tree” She scoffed
“Plucking some red apples for your friend” Jimmy replied
“Adelaide?” Eleanor asked
“Yeah,we made a bet and she won. So she want me to get her these” Jimmy said and jumped down from the apple tree with a bag filled with red apples
“Oh my goodness!” Eleanor’s eyes went wide
“What,you want some?” Jimmy asked and she immediately nodded
She took one and bite it
“Hey,you should at least wash it first” Jimmy snapped
“Oh,I totally forgot” Eleanor made a sad face and lic-k her bottom li-p
“Seriously?” Jimmy chuckled and looked away
“Are you leaving?” He asked
“Yes,I will look for Adelaide for you” Eleanor said and they both left the garden

“How can you hold a sword like this?!” Colton yelled at Kai and he gro-aned
He’s in charge of training the trainees but he’s teaching Kai specially since he’s like the worst learner among them all
“It’s har-der than I imagined” Kai mumbled
“fuc-k ,you’re so lazy dude” Colton said
“Let’s take a break please” Kai muttered and took a bottle of water but he stopped when he saw Jimmy and Eleanor coming together,talking and laughing
“That idiot” He mumbled,glaring at Jimmy angrily while he squee-zed the bottle in his hand
“Are you okay?” Colton asked
Kai ignored him and continue glaring at Jimmy.
Eleanor suddenly caught a glimpse of him
“Hey Kai!” She called excitedly and immediately ran toward him
“How’s your training going?” She asked
Kai looked at her and then back to Jimmy who was also coming closer
“We went to pluck some apples,do you want some?” Eleanor asked
“What do you mean by we?? You met me there” Jimmy snapped
“Hey dude,don’t be stingy” Eleanor stuck out her tongue at him
“Seriously? Now I’m stingy?” Jimmy chuckled
Eleanor handed the apple in her hand to Kai
“I’m not eating that” Kai scoffed and Jimmy looked at him
They both started glaring at each other
“What is wrong with you two? You don’t even know each other” Eleanor said
Kai looked away from Jimmy and walked away
“What happened to him?” Eleanor muttered and faced Jimmy
“Let’s talk later,I will tell Adelaide if I see her” She said and immediately went after Kai
Jimmy’s eyes followed her as she caught up with Kai and they started their usual argument,he scoffed and walked away
“Seriously? I thought he said they are just friends” Colton chuckled
******
MATILDA’S SUITE**
Matilda was walking around the room when Esmeralda entered
“My lady” She called and Matilda turned
“What is it?” She asked
“The royal stylist is in the palace,do you want me to bring her here?” Esmeralda asked
“No,I will go to her” Matilda said with a little smile
“I will accompany you my lady” Esmeralda bowed and Matilda went out first while she followed

“Oh mine!!” Adelaide’s eyes wide-ned when Jimmy handed the bag of apples to her
“You’re the best Jimmy,thank you!” She said happily
“You’re welcome,it was so easy like I said” Jimmy smiled
“You’re the best” Adelaide grinned
“See you later” Jimmy waved at her and walked away
“Best friends” Adelaide ki-ssed the apples
She was super excited as she walked in a hurry that she didn’t watch where she was going.
She suddenly bumped into Matilda and Matilda fell hardly on the ground
“Ahh!” She winced as she felt a sudden sharp pain in her Abdomen
“You witch!!!!” Esmeralda yelled while Adelaide shook in fear
Matilda winced again
Esmeralda and Adelaide faced her at a time,they both gasped at a time when they saw the blood dropping from Matilda’s legs
“My lady!!” Esmeralda screamed
Adelaide’s heart started beating fast,her whole body heating up as she watched Matilda
“No…..my…..my baby….” Matilda cried and lost her consciousness
