★RIGHT BY MY SIDE★
The ki-ss grew more dee-per every minute,Adelaide held Lucian tightly as he su-cked on her bottom li-p slowly and de-eply. She opened her mouth giving him more access,his tongue sli-pped into her mouth.
Adelaide mo-an-ed silently into his mouth and almost began to undo his robe when Lucian broke the ki-ss,Adelaide opened her eyes.
“My king….I don’t mind any longer,you can have me,I’m all yours” She said
“What are you talking about?” King Lucian asked
“I just…..thought maybe you’re angry with me because of that night” Adelaide muttered
“You think I just want your body?”
Adelaide bite her li-ps
“I’m not like that,I won’t do something against your will. And I’m not angry with you” He smiled and ki-ssed her again
Adelaide immediately reciprocated but they were interrupted by Carl’s voice
“Your Majesty” He called and they separated,Adelaide moved away from the king before Carl entered.
“They are waiting in the throne room already your majesty” Carl said and bowed
King Lucian turned to Adelaide and she released a short smile which he returned before going out with Carl.

“Good Morning your Majesty!!” The warriors all bowed at once as the king entered with Carl.
King Lucian sat down and they raised their heads up
“Is this everyone?” The king asked
“No your Majesty,we came here to give reports on the night watch” One of them said and King Lucian nodded
“It was peaceful your Majesty” Another one said
“So you mean,nothing happened all night?” King Lucian asked the warriors giving him the reports
“Yes your majesty,it was so calm and quiet throu-ghthe night” One of them said
King Lucian and Carl exchanged glances
“Then,you should do the same for this night”
“Of course your majesty,we planned to stay for few more nights”
“Good” King Lucian said and turned to Carl
“Inform the court lady to prepare a meal for them every morning after the night watch here in the palace until the watch is over” He said
“Yes your majesty” Carl said
“Thank you your majesty!!” The warriors chorused happily

Adelaide walked out of Eleanor’s room and let out a loud sigh,a smile escaped her li-ps when she remembered the ki-ss she shared with the king earlier.
She touched her already flushed cheeks
“He’s so cute” She muttered
A maid stopped in front of her and she dropped her hands
“The princess summoned you” The maid said
“Oh….okay” Adelaide muttered and turned to the direction of Lisa’s suite.
Soon,she got there and went in. She met Lisa drinking
“Are you okay?” Adelaide asked as she sat down in front of Lisa
“I guess you haven’t heard yet because mother stopped the rumor from spreading” Lisa muttered and poured a drink for Adelaide
Adelaide took the cup and gulped it down
“What is it? She asked
“Matilda is pregnant” Lisa said and the cup in Adelaide’s hand dropped
“The……the…….the…..Mis…..mistress?” She stammered
Lisa nodded
“For who??” Adelaide asked
“Who else? She’s pregnant for the king” Lisa scoffed and Adelaide’s heart stopped beating for a minute before she exhaled loudly
She immediately poured herself a full cup of wine and drank it all in a gulp
“So….what is the King’s plan?” She asked
“He doesn’t want Matilda to get rid of it” Lisa scoffed
‘If Matilda keep the child,what will happen to me?? What will become of me? What if he fall in love with her and forget about me again?? What should I do now??’
Different thoughts filled her mind
“I’m so sad right now,that’s why I want you beside me” Lisa said
The door opened and a maid entered
“I said I want to be alone” Lisa snapped
“My princess,the royal Stylist is here” The maid said and Lisa roll her eyes
“If Matilda doesn’t loose that pregnancy before the ball night,I’m not gonna attend” She scoffed before facing Adelaide
“Let’s go together,I’m getting my ball dress” She smiled
Adelaide nodded and stood up,they both walked out of the suite while two maids followed them
As they walked,they sighted queen Sofia under one of the open balcony in the palace,the court lady was sitting beside her while numbers of maidens were present
“What’s going on?” Lisa asked
“The maidens are being tested,the queen will be choosing the dancers for the ball night” one of the maids replied
“Wow,I’ve never experienced a royal ball before” Adelaide said
“You will really enjoy it” Lisa smiled
“Wait here,I want to say hello to mother” She said and Adelaide nodded while Lisa walked away
Adelaide turned and her eyes went wide when she saw Aria and Luna in front of her
“Oh wow….I knew it” Aria said as she stared at Adelaide from her head to her toes
“You’re really born to be a slave forever” She added and Luna laughed
Adelaide fold fingers with her face down
“Gosh,you look so ugly even in the uniform,is your life more better here?” Luna asked
“Oh please,I’m sure she’s been used even more than us. You should just come back home,we missed you alot” Aria said in a mocking tone and they both laughed
“Stop it,you should respect that you’re in the palace” Adelaide said and Aria raised her hand to slap her
“If you drop that hand,I will order the guards to cut it off and feed you with it” Lisa appeared behind Adelaide and Aria gasped
Lisa moved closer
“How dare you try to bully her even here??” She pushed Aria’s head backward
“I’m sorry my princess” Aria bowed
“Are you not here for the test?” Lisa asked
“Yes…..”
“Oh,I guess you pa-ssed it already” Lisa smiled
“Yes princess” Aria and Luna muttered
“Who cares? If you’re gonna be participating in the dance then I will have to ask my friend first,it’s up to her” Lisa said and faced Adelaide
“Do you want them to participate or not? I’m going to do whatever you say” She said
Aria and Luna couldn’t believe their ears
“Adelaide please,this is really important to me please” Aria immediately hold Adelaide’s hand
“Seriously? This is how you plead for something?” Lisa scoffed
Aria bite her li-ps and slowly went down on her knees in front of Adelaide,Luna swallowed hard
“Please Adelaide…..” Aria muttered
“No,we don’t need people like you in the palace,I’m afraid you might go crazy as usual.” Adelaide said Luna’s eyes wide-ned
“She has spoken and that’s final…guards! Throw them out of the palace and mark their faces,if I ever see them in the palace,you’re dead” Lisa ordered
“Yes princess!” The guards said at once and started dragging Aria and Luna out
Adelaide faced Lisa
“Thank you” She smiled
“Who are they?” Lisa asked
“My step sisters” Adelaide replied
“I can tell they are evil just by looking at their faces,let’s not talk about them.” Lisa scoffed and Adelaide smiled
“Let’s go” Lisa hold Adelaide’s hand and they walked away,the maids also followed
“Seriously I can’t believe this,did the princess just asked for permission from Adelaide before judging those girls?” Melita asked unbelievably as they watched the scene
“Stop calling her name in my ears,,I always feel like killing her” Nadia scoffed
“Me too,I wonder what she did to the princess to make her treat her that way” Melita said
“She really look like a witch” Nadia hissed
A maid suddenly joined them and they looked up
“I know how you can deal with her” She said
“Who?” Nadia asked
“Adelaide,I know you both hate her but I hate her more” The maid smiled
“Do you know us? How come I don’t know you?” Melita asked
“You don’t know every maid in the palace” She said
“What’s your name?” Nadia asked
“Garam” She smiled
“How can we deal with her? That’s the only thing I’m interested in” Nadia said and Garam smiled
“Try destroying her beauty first and see” Garam smirked
Nadia and Melita exchanged glances
“I’m sure everyone will hate her once she becomes ugly” Garam said
“That’s true,but how do we do it?” Melita asked
“Just follow my lead and see” Garam smiled

KING’S CHAMBER**
King Lucian entered into the chamber with Carl,Matilda who have been waiting stood up immediately.
“My king” She called
“I will come back” Carl bowed and walked out
Matilda moved closer to the king
“What are you doing here Matilda” King Lucian asked
“Are you still angry with me?” Matilda asked
“I’m not angry with you”
Matilda hug-ged him
“Please don’t stay away from me,I’m missing you so much already. I need you beside me at the moment,please” she said,resting her head on his chest
The door opened and Adelaide came in,her eyes went wide
“I’m sorry” She said and immediately turned her back and ran out
“That’s enough Matilda” King Lucian finally said and Matilda moved back
“Are you okay? You’re not feeling sick right?” He asked
Matilda smiled and shook her head
“Make sure you don’t get stressed or get hurt”
Matilda nodded
“Can I stay in your chamber tonight??” She asked
“I want to be alone” King Lucian said and Matilda took her li-ps in
“I really want to stay beside you” She muttered with a sad face
“I will call you when I want to,okay? You can go” King Lucian said
Matilda wrapped her arms around him again and hug-ged him
******
NIGHT★CARL’S ROOM**
“Did something happened? You’ve been drinking” Jimmy asked and sat down on the seat next to Carl
He also poured himself a drink
“Must something happen before I drink?” Carl asked
“Well it’s unlike you” Jimmy replied
“I’m fine,,just stressed a little” Carl replied
Jimmy grinned
“Did something happened between you and the princess?” He asked and Carl looked up
“What are you talking about?” He asked
“I don’t know,I’m just saying” Jimmy smiled and started drinking
“Just mind your business” Carl scoffed
“Yes commander” Jimmy winked and Carl rolled his eyes
They suddenly heard a knock on the door and exchanged glances
Jimmy stood up to take the door,revealing Eleanor
“Oh Jimmy…you stay here?” She asked
“Yeah,you know my name and I don’t know yours” Jimmy muttered
“I’m Eleanor” She smiled
“Why are you here?” Jimmy asked
“Is Carl in? I’m here for him” Eleanor replied
“Carl? Why?? Why not me?” Jimmy rushed his question
“The thing is…..”
“What is it?” Carl interrupted Eleanor and pulled Jimmy in before closing the door
“Oh,the princess want you to come over to her suite” Eleanor said
“Okay” Carl muttered
Eleanor smiled a little before walking away
Cark sighed and also left
Jimmy opened the door and scoffed
“Does she smile at every fuc-k ing guy she see?” He scoffed again and went his own way

Carl stopped in front of Lisa’s room and knocked
The door opened and Lisa came out
“Come in” She said and Carl went in
Lisa closed the door
“Why am I here? Do you have anything you want me to do?” Carl asked
“I want to apologize” Lisa Said and Carl took a glance at her
“I’m sorry for slapping you earlier,I was just carried away by anger,I’m sorry” She said and touched his cheek
“It’s okay,I’m fine” Carl said and she dropped her hand
“If that’s all,I will take my leave” Carl bowed shortly and made to leave
Lisa immediately blocked his way and their eyes met
“What do you….” He stopped talking when Lisa moved closer to him and touched his cheek
She pulled him down for her size and almost ki-ssed him but Carl turned his face and she ki-ssed his cheek instead
Lisa moved back immediately looking surprised
“Carl…..” She called in a whisper
“I’m sorry princess,I can’t do this.” He said
“Why? Because of my brother?? Or who?? Mother? Just tell me why you can’t,isn’t it obvious that I’m in love with you?? What else do you want me to do to make you see that I have crazy feelings for you……”
“Princess…..”
“Call me Lisa!!” She snapped
“Are you scared that my brother will be angry with you?? Huh??”
“I don’t feel the same” Carl said and Lisa’s eyes wide-ned
“Huh??”
“I’m not in love with you princess,so can you please stop whatever you feel for me? Bye” Carl said and immediately went out
“Hey!!!!! Ahhhh!!!!” Lisa screamed and broke into tears
The maids rushed in
“My princess….”
“Stay away from me!!” She yelled and continue crying

SHOOTING RANGE**
“Wow,they are both good” Adelaide said beside Jimmy as they watched King Lucian and Liam both shooting the arrows
“Yes,do you wanna bet on who’s going to loose the target first?” Jimmy asked and Adelaide faced him
“What will I get in return if I win?” She asked
“What do you want?” Jimmy asked
“I will tell you after winning” Adelaide smiled
“Then,let’s go”Jimmy said
“The prince will loose first” Adelaide said
“Seriously? How can you say that so easily?” Jimmy scoffed
“Hey calm down okay? Just watch” Adelaide smiled
They kept on watching and suddenly Liam lose the target
“Yes!!!!!!” Adelaide shouted,jumping happily,she faced Jimmy
“Did you see that?” She said and Jimmy chuckled
“Why are you looking so happy about it”he muttered
“Don’t even try to fail your promise” Adelaide frowned
“What do you want?” Jimmy asked
“Apples,in the garden. You can climb the tree right? The red apples,I want them so badly but I can’t pluck them no matter how ha-rd I try” Adelaide pouted
“That’s the easiest thing in the whole world,expect them tomorrow” Jimmy winked
“Thank you” Adelaide said
**
Lucian on the other hand wasn’t concentrating anymore
He kept on glancing at Adelaide and Jimmy every minutes wondering what they are discussing to make her so happy.
It was as if he has never seen her smiling and happy that way
“Your maid seems to be having a great time with Jimmy” Liam said and Lucian faced him with a scoff
“Great time indeed” He said
Liam chuckled
King Lucian looked back again and this time Jimmy touched Adelaide’s hair
His eyes grew wide and he immediately dropped the bow in his hand
“I’m tired already,let’s talk tomorrow” He said and tapped Liam’s shoulder before walking away
“Seriously?” Liam chuckled watching him as he walked out and Adelaide ran after him immediately

King Lucian kept on walking without waiting while Adelaide tried her best to catch up with him
‘Why is he looking so angry? Did he fought with the prince?’ Adelaide thought inwardly
They finally got to the suite,Adelaide closed the door and turned to see Lucian looking at her already,she moved back
“My king….”
“Do you go around acting cute when you’re together with everyone?” Lucian asked
“Huh?”
“What were you two talking about? Why did you even stand beside him in the first place?? And why did he touched your hair??” He rushed the questions and Adelaide was confused
“There was something on my hair and he helped……”
“You should have just left it on your hair” King Lucian snapped and Adelaide bite her li-p
“I’m sorry your majesty” She muttered
“I guess I should start keeping you beside me from now on” Lucian scoffed
‘Seriously? And he has an unborn child with his mistress??’ Adelaide thought,while staring into his eyes
“What,do you have anything to say?” King Lucian asked
“No your majesty,I will just take my leave” Adelaide mumbled and turned to go
“Don’t move” He stopped her
She faced him back
“You’re sleeping here,right by my side” King Lucian said and Adelaide’s eyes went wide immediately
