“I have been calling him but his phone is switched off”
“He did that because he nee-ds time to think,i mean his parents just found out that he has been studying Music for the past Four years”

I was at one of my friend’s place,his name is Bryan,he practically lives alone.
He has the same kind of parents i have, they are also never around for him.
He is aspiring to be a professional dancer, the only difference he and i have is that his own parent support his dream.
“How did they find out?”he asked me as we both sat on the stairs of his house with a drink in our hand.
“I was doing my last project for the semester,they saw the project handbook”
“Why are they forcing you?”
“I don’t really know why,my mom used to love it when i sing but suddenly she changed”
“You know i think this stuff is p@rtly my fault,i was the one who gave you the idea of deceiving them into thinking you were actually studying Engineering”
“Don’t say that,you helped me when i nee-ded a plan”
“So how is she?” Bryan asked and i was confused.

“Come on,your phone is literally filled with her pictures” He said ma-king me chuckle.
“She’s not just my girlfriend, she’s the woman i want to spend the rest of my life with”

I haven’t spoken to Xander for a week and it’s killing me.
I don’t know if he’s okay,am just so worried.
I decided to go to his house and try to convince his parents.
I knocked a few times until i heard a come in.
I opened the door and Xander’s mom was sitting on the couch.
“What are you doing here?” She asked.
“Ma’am,i just c@m£ here to talk, that’s all”
“I don’t want to…
“It’s about Xander, plea-se” I said and she sighed.
“Sit down” She said and i sat down.
“Have you heard from him?” she asked
“No,have you?”
“No,i don’t even expect him to talk to me,i have hurt him so much”
“He once told me that there was a time you supported his career, what changed?”
“Oh, Gianna, there are some questions that should be left unanswered, i love my son and I would support anything that he wants to be”
“Alexander is a good singer and songwriter,you really have to see him sing, he’s amazing and whenhe pla-ys the guitar or piano,you get lost in it”
“Trust me,i know all of that,ever since he was little,he loved music”
“Then why are you forcing him to do what he doesn’t want to do?”

“Because we are his parents and he has to obey us” Xander’s father said as he walked towards us.
“Look, Gianna,i know you are his girlfriend or whatever but you have no right in this issue”
“She has all the right in the world,Dad” A voice said,we turned around and it was Xander.
“Xander!”i said and and hvgged him.
“You c@m£ back” Xander’s mom said smiling.
“So you have finally decided to go by my rules?”
“No,dad,i c@m£ back only because of Gianna”
“Then you have no business in my house,get out”
“Peter, plea-se listen to him” Xander’s mom said.

“Before i leave,i just wanted to let you know that no matter what am not going to give up on my dreams”
Xander dragged me along with him, outside his house.
He hvgged me the minute we got outside.
“I have missed you so much” He said.
“We are not even married yet and you have alre-ady started getting me so worried” I said ma-king him chuckle.
“Am sorry,Babe,i just nee-ded space”
“So are you leaving again?”
“No,i will stay at your house” He said and i smiled at him.

“Bro,you know i always have your back,no matter what” Jamal said to me.

“Okay,am going to the office,so Gianna prepare something for Xander”
“Okay,mom”Gianna said as her mom walked away, Jamal also left.
Gianna kept staring at me so worriedly.
“I know what you are thinking..You are thinking about my relationsh!pwith my parents”
“Yes, Xander, that’s what am thinking,your dad obviously doesn’t like me, Graduation is a few days away,am so worried about everything and am scared that this will threaten our relationsh!p”
“If they even dare to tear us ap@rt,we will run away”
“Run away?”
“Yeah,i can’t afford to lose you, Gianna,If am going to be a famous singer, you are going to be by my side, I want you to bear my last name and to be the mother of my kids”
Tears were alre-ady rolling down her eyes,i used my thumb to wipe it off.

“I wish i can go with you” I said to Xander as he was dressing up.
“It’s okay,you have to submit your final poject today,you can always hear me sing anytime”
Xander is going for music practice while i have to go to college to submit my project.
An idea popped into my head.
“Okay, I will see you later”
“Good bye k!ss?”
I k!$$£d him,he pu-ll-ed me closer and his hands went down to my a*s and squee-zed it,i quic-kly pu-ll-ed away.
“Not today” I said to him,he frowned ma-king me giggle.
“Bye,have fun” i said to him and walked away.
I have rush over to college to finish up so that i can carry out my plan.

I have been rehearsing for a long time and still thinking about my future with Gianna.
“Xander,why don’t you sing for us?” The music teacher,Miss Natalie said.
“Okay”
I picked up my guitar and started to strum it.

I closed my eyes while singing,i was done singing and everyone cl@pped.

My dad didn’t say a word to me,he only stared at me.
“Sorry to interrupt but Alex,over here has an amazing voice and the world nee-ds to hear him” Miss Natalie said.
“Peter, plea-se,just reconsider your decision” My mom said.
There was a long slience.
“Okay,Fine,You can pursue your dream if being a singer” My dad said and i was beyond shocked

🎶As we go on,we remember all the times we’ve spent together.
As our lifes changed from whatever

That was our graduation song, finally it was graduation day and am so happy.
My mom was around, Ashley and thankfully Xander’s parents were around as well.
There is no greater feeling than graduating from college with my twin brother,my bestie/Sister and the love of my life.
“Now,everyone,on the count of three,you throw your caps in the air.
1,…2,…3” The Vice chancellor said and we threw our caps in the air.
“CONGRATULATIONS” Everyone screamed.
“Congrats,Sis”Jamal said and hvgged me so ti-ght.
“Congrats,bro, finally we can be free from each other” i said ma-king him chuckle.
“You know you can’t get rid of me so easily” he said,our mom approached us
“Aww,my babies” She said pinching our cheeks.
“Seriously,mom,we just graduated from college and you are still calling us babies” I said and rolled my eyes.
“Even if you are a hundred years old,you are still my little babies” She said smiling wi-dely.
“These are the times i wish dad was here” Jamal said sadly.
“He would be so happy seeing you achieve your dreams, I know he is watching over all of us” I said and hvgged my mom.
“Okay, before i start crying,am gonna leave you to have fun with your friends”
She k!$$£d our foreheads, then walked over to the parents lounge.
“SISTER!!!” Ashley screamed and jumped on me ma-king me giggle.
“Seriously,babe,you ignored your b©yfri£ndfor your best friend” Jamal said pouting hisl-ips like a child ma-king Ashley and i laugh.
“She was my best friend first”
She hvgged Jamal too, they started k!ss!nglike there were the only ones in the room.
I shaked my head as I watched them, someone c@m£ from behind and put a rose in my hair.
I smiled and turned around.
“Happy Graduation,babe”Xander said and walked hvgged me.
“Am so happy, sweetie,we did this together”
“And we will continue achieving our dreams together,i will be there when you achieve all your goals”
“And i will be there for you when you achieve all your goals” I said and k!$$£d his cheeks.
“You two should get a room” Xander said to Jamal and Ashley who were still k!ssing.
“I think they are gonna start taking their clothes off” i said,i and Xander chuckled.
“I can’t wait for the both of us to start building our future together”Xander said before claiming myl-ips.
Few weeks later.
“Ohh,am so tired” I said as i sat beside Xander on the couch.
“Yeah,me too”
“I have literally been writing exams for different hospitals all day” i I said and scratched the back of my head.
I really want to be a gynaecologist, it’s been my dream since when i was little.
“I have been trying to get record label managers to hear my songs”
“It’s okay,honey,just have faith, you can do this,i believe in you” i said and k!$$£d his cheeks.
I really don’t want him to lose hope in his dreams, I know he has been trying to get a record label to sign him up and it’s really frustrating and stressful.
“Very soon,i as-sure you that your pictures will be on billboards, magazines, the whole of America and many countries will have your songs at the ti-ps of theirl-ips”
He pu-ll-ed me closer and k!$$£d my hair.
“You really know how to make me happy”He said and i giggled.
