Evelyn was still in tears when the door opened again,this time it was Lamia. She looked up and fear gr!ppĀ£dher,,he walked to her,his two hands behind him. As usual,his face was so blank,one can never re-ad his expression.
He stĀ©pped in front of her
“StĀ©p crying,,it won’t move me” Lamia spoke up
“Why are you doing this?? Just take me back home,,plea-se.” Evelyn said in tears
“I’m trying to protect you,,,don’t worry,when it’s time,I will take you back. But not now,,,” He said
Evelyn’s was confused
“StĀ©p crying,,,I hate weak humans” Lamia said
“Then,,,how am I going to live here?? Among you all? I’m a human,,,,,” Evelyn muttered and Lamia let out a sm-irk
“Are you worried they are going to kill you??” He asked
Evelyn nodded
“They wouldn’t dare” he replied turning back toward the door
“Wait,,,plea-se,,,” She stĀ©pped him and he faced her again
“Can you,,,plea-se,,,get me my clothes?? You can go there right?? I can’t keep on putting this on everyday right??” She said without looking at his face
“Are you asking me to run errands for you now??” Lamia asked and she froze
“No,,,,never mind. I promise never to ask you for anything,,I’m sorry” She immediately apologized
Lamia scoffed and left the room.
“Gosh,,I thought that woman said they always treat their mates nicely,why is he so cold? Scary,,” Evelyn shook her head and stood up from the floor.
She began walking round the room checking it out,,,
“This room is even bigger than fathers,,,,beautiful but black paintings all over” She said tou-ching the wall
The door opened all of a sudden and she g@sped fearfully,,,
Lamia entered and dropped almost four bags on the floor,,,
Evelyn ran toward him and opened one of the bags,,,a smile escape herl-ips
She looked up and caught Lamia eyes on her,,
“I thought you wouldn’t help me”
“Is that the way humans appreciate??” Lamia asked
“Oh,,,I’m sorry,,,thank you,,” She bowed countless times.
Her head was still bowed when Lamia left the room
“Oh,,,can’t believe Evelyn is bowing right now” She sighed
“I nee-d a bath,,” She muttered and began taking off her clothes
She was almost nak*d when Lamia c@mĀ£ in
Evelyn screamed and immediately wra-pped her clothes on herself,,,
Lamia scoffed and sat down on the couch in the room waiting for her next move,,,
Evelyn bite herl-ips,,
“Where,,is the bathroom??” She asked
“Do you think vampires always take their bath??” Lamia asked
“What??you mean,,I won’t take my bath too??” She asked with a wi-de eyes
Lamia stood up and moved closer to her,,she moved back a little. He gr@bbĀ£d her hand and took her into the bathroom,,
“You talk too much” He said before closing the door
Evelyn tĀ©uƧhed her mouth,,
“I Talk too much??”
She shook her head and started taking her bath,,but then her family c@mĀ£ to her mind
“Mother,,father,,Charles. I’m sorry,,I have to stay here,,,I don’t want him to hurt you all. I promise to come back as soon as possible,,he said he’s protecting me. I don’t know why I should believe him,,but what if he’s right??” She said as she allowed the water run all over her bĀ©dy
‘Never knew Vampires have showers too,unbelievable’ she thought
Lamia who could hear everything she was thinking let out a smile which disappeared almost instantly
After Evelyn was done,,she c@mĀ£ out of the bathroom and was surprised to see Lamia still in the room. She stood still without moving,,,Lamia stood up.
“You nee-d to stĀ©p thinking about silly things” He said shortly before leaving
Evelyn breathe out and immediately got dressed,,,after that she walked toward the door and opened it gently.
The two guards at the door turned to her and she g@sped,,,
“Where are you going??” One of them asked
“Can,,can I go out?? I’m not trying to escape,,I just want to check the castle out” She said
“Go back in,,,his highness told us never to let you go out. ” The second guard said
Evelyn rolled her eyes and closed the door
“I knew it,,is this a prison or something??” She gro-an ed
Almost immediately,the door opened and Akantha entered beaming with smiles all over.
“Hey pretty human,,you want to leave the room right??” She asked and Evelyn raised her brow..
“The guards said am not allowed to leave the room” She replied
“Don’t worry,,this is an order from him,,let’s go. I will show you round ” Akantha said
Evelyn stood up and they both walked out of the room.

Charles entered his father’s chamber and met him taking a view of some art works,,he sat down beside him
“Morning father” Charles greeted
King Jesse looked up and smiled
“How are you doing??” He asked and Charles sighed
“I’m okay father” He replied
“Don’t think too much son,,am sure she will be fine” King Jesse said
“We can’t be sure until we see her,,I am so worried” Charles said
King Jesse smiled
“I know,,,everyone is worried. But plea-se don’t hurt yourself,,she will definitely be back”
“Thank you father,,,I am on my way to Windpine. I nee-d to support them too” Charles said and stood up
“Be careful son” The king said
“I will father” Charles replied and bowed before walking out of the chamber.

Kadence sighed sadly as she was about going into the palace,,Evelyn’s sudden disappearance really did something to her.
She looked back when she heard the sound of horses,,,,
“Oh,,,Charles” She called with a smile
“Kadence,,are you okay?? You don’t look happy” Charles said and got down from the horse
The guards went in and the two also continue walking in
“No matter how ha-rd I try hiding it,,am so worried. What if something bad happen to her??” Kadence asked and broke into tears
Charles sighed and tapped her shoulder gently
“Don’t worry,,we are doing everything to find her. She will be fine,,you will see her again. So don’t cry” Charles said
Kadence sighed and wiped her tears
“I hope so,,,I miss her” She said
Charles nodded

Akantha waited patiently for Evelyn as she checked out the libr@ry with keen interest but it seems like she was confused.
Akantha noticed even though she couldn’t get what she was thinking about no matter how she tried.
“What do you think?? You’ve been observing forever” Akantha spoke up and moved closer to her
“It’s all weird,,I really don’t un-derstand what is written in the books. ” Evelyn said and Akantha chuckled
“What type of book does humans re-ad??” She asked
“A lot,,but none like these” Evelyn replied
“These books are spell books” Akantha said and Evelyn was shocked
“Spells?? What spells??” She asked
“You don’t have to know,,you’re human” Akantha said
“But I want to know,,I love finding out things” Evelyn said
Akantha sm-irked and started looking for a p@rticular book,,she found it and opened a page for Evelyn
“Try re-ading this,,even if you don’t know what they mean” Akantha said to her
“Okay” Evelyn nodded

Evelyn stĀ©pped for a second when she suddenly felt uncomfortable,,
“What’s this spell about??” She asked Akantha
“It’s a spell to become a vampire” Akantha said
“What?!?!” Evelyn screamed and threw the book away
Akantha giggles seeing the fear in her eyes
“That’s not fair,,you want me to become a vampire??” Evelyn asked breathing ha-rd
“Did you feel anything while reciting ??” Akantha asked
“I felt so heavy,,now I am glad I asked earlier. Gosh,,you’re scary,,am leaving” Evelyn said
“I’m sorry,,,” Akantha called after her as she storm out of the libr@ry
She ran upstairs straight to Lamia’s suit. The guards opened the door for her and she went in.
She sighed and fell on the be-d with her face up,,she was about closing her eyes when she noticed Lamia’s presĀ£nce,she sat up immediately.
Lamia ignored her and went into the inner room,,seconds later he c@mĀ£ back.
“Hi,,,” Evelyn said and Lamia faced her
“I’m sorry but,,,what’s your name?” Evelyn asked
Lamia moved closer to her,,
“Is it necessary to know my name??” He asked
“I want to know,,”
“You can’t call my name,,,you’re going to die” Lamia sm-irked and Evelyn moved back instantly
“I,,,I will die?” She asked in fear and Lamia sm-irked again
“Lamia,,,that’s my name. You can call it if you want ” He said
Evelyn gulped down ha-rd ly
“I,,,I can’t. Then tell me what to call you,,,” She said
“You don’t have to call me,,” Lamia replied
“Then I will give you a name,,,” she smiled
“What name?” Lamia asked getting interested
“Uhm ,, Jareth,what do you think??” She win-ked
Lamia scoffed
“Meaning of that??” He asked
“It’s a name” She replied
“I don’t like it” Lamia replied
“You don’t have to like it,,it’s not your name. I’m the one who will call you that since I can’t mention your real name,,am not re-ady to die yet” Evelyn explained
“I will be back,,,” She said and went into the bathroom
Lamia smiled a little immediately she left,,.
“I’m back” Evelyn announced and Lamia’s face bec@mĀ£ blank again
“Does humans announce every little things they do??” Lamia asked and Evelyn smiled before sitting down
“No,,” She replied
“Then why must you say everything??”
“I’m sorry ” She apologized
Lamia rolled his eyes and stood up walking toward the exit
“Jareth,,” Evelyn called
She smiled when he stĀ©pped but immediately kept a straight face when he turned
“Can I get something to eat?? I’m starving” She said
Lamia left the room without replying her
She rolled her eyes and threw legs in the air
“Will you keep on doing that? I guess you’re not hungry” She flin-ched immediately she heard the voice.
She gulped and faced Lamia who was now behind her
“When,,when did you get here??” She asked,wi-de_eyed
“Don’t question me,,eat this” Lamia pointed at the food on the table
“How did you get this??” She asked
Lamia growled
“Oh,,I’m sorry! I promise never to ask any question again” she pleaded and sat down
She breathe out before opening the food
She g@sped and turned to Lamia
“Wow,,so vampires have real food too??” She asked
Lamia frowned
“Oh,,,thanks for the food” she said and started eating hungrily
Lamia shook his head and sighed
“Does humans eat like this really??” He asked
“No,,am just hungry. I’m sure you also svƧkblood thirstily sometimes” she said without thinking and immediately g@sped when she realized what she said
“Oh gosh,,I’m sorry,,I didn’t mean to say that” She bowed
Lamia left the room
“Evelyn,,your mouth will be your end” she sighed before eating again.

*In The Woods**
There was a loud growls and low rumbles in the wood the moment Lamia appeared,
The sound of animals running for their dear lives and trees getting maladjusted as wind keep on b!owing all round,the sun was beginning to set at that moment.
Lamia’s eyes all red like a flame of fire,so thirsty and dangerous to look at.
He stood up on his feet and closed his eyes with his hair floating in the air,,
He instantly transformed into a wild white wolf and then let out loud growls,,
It began to rain so heavily,,the wolf took off running dee-per into the wood,devouring any animal on the way hungrily.

*In The Vampire’s Pack**
Evelyn was restless in the room as the rain continue pouring without stĀ©pping,,she was so scared alone in the room.
She wra-pped the cover over her head and closed her eyes,,but she screamed out immediately there was a loud thun-der strike.
She jumped out of the be-d breathing ha-rd ly,,,,
Lamia was right in front of her and she sighed,,,
“When did you get here?” She asked still catching her breath
“Go back to sleep” Lamia snapped almost walking Away
“I can’t sleep,,can you plea-se watch me until am asleep??” She asked
“Why should I do that??” Lamia asked
“I’m scared” she muttered
Lamia walked back and sat on the seat
Evelyn smiled and then la-id back on the be-d falling asleep almost immediately.
