Evelyn couldn’t st©p thinking about the hvg,she wasn’t expecting it but it was the best thing she nee-ded at that moment.
Now the crazy thing is that, she can’t st©p thinking about him.all she want is him and it’s becoming all weird to her,,she could remember telling him she loved Charles, so why is everything so confusing?? What matters to her right now is Lamia, she’s never going to deny that anymore.
Immediately she c@m£ into the palace,, guards rushed to her.
“My princess!!”
“Are you okay?”
“Did something happen to you?”
“I am fine guys,,you don’t have to worry about me plea-se” She st©pped them and went in.
“Evelyn! Where the hell have you being?? What is wrong with you??” Queen Naomi yelled
“I told you I wouldn’t make it last night mom,,” Evelyn said and a sl@p landed on her face
The maids g@sped and immediately walked away,Charles who was pres£nt stood up.
“Mom,,,”
“Shut the hell up Evelyn!! Your father wanted tofu-cking lock you up but I had to plead with him,he re-leased you and now this?? What are you turning into?? Huh,,you’re getting married soon,,,”
“I don’t want to get married,,, I don’t want to.” Evelyn snapped in tears and she was shocked
“What are you talking about? You don’t want to get married?” Queen Naomi asked
“I’m sorry mom ,,,,,but,,,,I don’t love Charles anymore. I am sure he doesn’t love me too,,,so plea-se let’s end things here. plea-se” Evelyn said and walked in
Queen Naomi faced Charles who bec@m£ speechless after what Evelyn said,,,
“What does that mean? Is there something happening between you two?” Queen Naomi asked
“Not at all,,I guess she’s just angry. Hope she come around soon” Charles sighed

Evelyn threw her bag somewhere angrily as she entered her room,,,
“I hate my life” She muttered and sighed out.
The door opened and Charles c@m£ in,,Evelyn ignored his pres£nce totally
“Evelyn,, what is happening to you? I don’t know why you changed so much but trust me I really do love you,,,”
“Love?? Drop the act Charles,, I know you don’t feel the same anymore. I am not blaming you,,I left for too long and I know it’s going to affect us. I really don’t want us to be stuck together, let’s end things plea-se” Evelyn said and Charles kept quiet
“Okay,,,fine. If that’s what you want,,”
“No,,that’s what we want. You know that,, we both want this” Evelyn cut him off and he nodded
“I’m sorry Evelyn,,,”
“You don’t have to be sorry,,,it’s mutual” She said and went into the bathroom.

Ramona was the last to leave the clas-s,,she made sure she completed her notes before leaving. The school was becoming empty alre-ady,, she pas-sed throu-gh the hallway and suddenly noticed some steps coming after her.
She st©pped walking and the step st©pped too,, she continue walking and it followed again,she continue walking so fast until she picked a race but then a strange hand from nowhere gr@bb£d her into a room and then locked the door.
“Arghhhhh!!!” She scream out in fear and the hand coveted her mouth.
She looked up and was shocked to see Bennett,,,
“Shhhh” he said ordering her to keep quiet before leaving her mouth.
She was breathing heavily
“What’s going on? You scared me,why are you following me?” She asked
“I wasn’t following you Ramona,,” Bennett whisper and Ramona looked away
“Then,, what was that??” She asked
“I have no idea,,maybe it’s a ghost or something” Bennett replied
“There are no ghosts here,st©p saying that. It’s scary” Ramona said and Bennett smiled.
He lean closer to her face
“What are you doing?” She asked trying to move away from him
He k!$$£d her n£¢k and she st©p struggling with him,,she couldn’t st©p him from doing that and she wonder what was wrong with her.
Bennett st©pped and sm-irked
“Why are you not fighting me to st©p?” He asked and Ramona c@m£ to her s-en-ses
“What do you think you’re doing?? Get off” She pushed him away and opened the door.
“Are you sure it’s gone?” She asked
“Not sure,,” Bennett said and Ramona rolled her eyes at him
“Let’s leave together” She said
And like that they both left the school
“Why are you still in school anyway??” Ramona asked suspiciously
“Was waiting for you” Bennett replied
“Why?”
“Do I nee-d a reason for that??”
“Oh,,,,”

The woman keep on chasing her,,while she ran as much as she could but it was like the woman is more fas-ter than her.
She caught up with her ma-king her fall on the ground,,..
Evelyn screamed out as the woman was about in-serting her fangs into her.
“No!!!!” She screamed out and woke up.
It was a dream,,
She was breathing so ha-rd but losing it instead,,,
She saw her face but she doesn’t Even know who the woman is,why is she chasing her? And,she’s not human, her f!ngerslook so long and sharp.
She couldn’t sleep,,
‘Lamia,,, You can hear me right?? I am scared,,,’ she thought inwardly and stiffed her b©dy together scared of falling asleep again.

I gro-an ed out loud as the sleep keep on coming but what if I sleep and I have the same dream, I just hope Lamia can hear me right now,plea-se come I can’t sleep,
I sighed and stood up from the be-d and went into the bathroom,I washed my face and then went back to the room.
I almost screamed out when I saw the image in front of me but then it turned out to be Lamia,,he faced me and I couldn’t control the type of happiness I was feeling at the moment.
I rushed to him and hvgged him, I don’t know where the courage c@m£ from,maybe because he hvgged me the last time I saw him. He didn’t reciprocate for some minutes but who cares, just being in his arms is enough for me.
“Why are you thinking so much and why are you scared?” His voice c@m£ like that of a wind,the voice I’ve developed so much love for.
“I had a dream,I think someone want to take my life. I saw her face” I said
“No one is going to take your life, so go back to sleep” He said and pu-ll-ed me from the hvg
Why is he acting cold again? How is he expecting me to sleep right now?
“I can’t,, I am scared” I muttered looking down
He didn’t say a word and I have to look up again with my puppy face,,
“plea-se stay with me until I sleep,,” I said hoping he’s going to listen to me
“Okay,,I will be here. Go and sleep” he muttered
But why is he avoiding my face?
“Are you hurt somewhere?” I asked
“Don’t worry about me,,I am not a human so go and sleep” He said and I nodded
I climb on the be-d not closing my eyes, I just want to make sure he’s still there.
“Humans sleep with their eyes open?” He asked and I smiled before closing my eyes but the sleep is not coming, I opened my eyes again and saw him beside the wall,is he planing to leave alre-ady? But I didn’t talk,,I saw him walking to me and I immediately closed my eyes.
I felt him covering me up with the duvet cover,,, and then he lean closer to my face
“Sleep now,,” He whispered and like magic,I found myself unable to open my eyes and then sle-pt off.

I opened my eyes and the sun shone so brightly into my eyes that I have to shut it back,,
Wait,is it morning alre-ady?? I g@sped and sat up from the be-d,I checked the time.
“What?!! 2pm!??” I shouted and checked my timetable.
My clas-s ends by 1pm
Okay Lamia,if I fail it’s your fault this time. I sighed and went into the bathroom grumpily.
After taking my bath I returned to the be-droom and got something to put on,no more school today.
My stomach made a loud noise,, I am so hungry. I pressed the alert and almost immediately three maids rushed in
“My lady,,,” They bowed
“Where is Zara?” I asked
“I think she’s busy right now my lady” one of them replied
“Get me something to eat,I’m starving” I said
“Okay ” They left and I took my phone
As expected a lot of calls and messages,,I dropped it. I’m not re-ady for any of that, but then my mind went to Lamia,, when did he leave last night?

I smiled as I watch Lamia coming,he really love his mate that much to come here??
Almost immediately he c@m£ in,throu-gh the wall and I stood up.
He looked at me with a calm but cold face,
“Lamia,,” I called
He didn’t reply
“Finally you’re here,after so many years” I added
“Stay away from Evelyn Opal,,,” He said
“Why? I haven’t even done anything yet. And besides, I told you right? I am going to avenge,,her father killed my sister! I am going to kill her,,,I won’t rest until I fulfill my promise to Melaina” i said angrily
“Don’t t©uçh her Opal,I won’t repeat myself” he replied
“I made up my mind,,,”
“If you want revenge,, her father is the enemy not her. ” he cut me off
“And why are you so concerned about her?? The Lamia I know doesn’t have emotions,,, are you in love with her?? Have you suddenly forgotten my sister??!” I yelled angrily
He stretched his hand toward me and a strong f0rç£ moved me closer to him,,,he gr@bb£d my n£¢k,, I could see his eyes turning red,his fangs are going to come out any moment from now.
Is he planning to kill me just because of that human?
“Don’t you dare t©uçh her,,I won’t spare you if you do that” He said
I re-leased myself with my power and fell on the floor,, his eyes bec@m£ normal again and instantly he left.
“Opal!!!” Mylah ran to me as I sat down on the floor
“He’s re-ady to do anything for that human,,,” I said and she nodded
“But I don’t care,,,I don’t care if he’s going to kill me. I will do anything, I won’t spare her, ” I muttered and stood up walking into the dark room.

I walked out of my room with Zara beside me,I will just take a walk in the palace since I have nowhere else to go.
“Do you have anything to tell me??” I asked Zara and she smiled
“No my lady” She said
“While I was gone,, you were worried righr?” I asked
“Of course my lady,I was really worried. I couldn’t st©p thinking about you,,I am glad you c@m£ back,I thought I won’t see you again” She said and I smile
“Thanks Zara,for getting worried because of me.” I said
“It’s nothing my lady”
I suddenly felt something cold in my b©dy and i feel dizzy almost immediately,,,,
I st©pped walking,,
“Are you okay?” Zara asked
“My lady!!!” I heard her screaming out my name
I couldn’t reply and then it all turned black,,
