Evenly was a little bit confused when Lamia asked the question,she looked down for a second and then at him.
“I’m talking about you,,” She said
Lamia moved closer to her and she immediately moved back scared of what he was planning again,,Lamia st©pped.
“Are you planning to run away or something?”He asked and Evenly eyes grew wi-de
“Why will I try to do that?, I just want to have fun with you,,st©p plea-se,it’s scary” Evelyn said
Lamia sighed and took her hand which surprised her but she wasn’t surprised again when he sat her down,,,
“I’m going to ask you this for the last time,,do you want me to take you back home?” Lamia asked
“Did you listen to my thoughts again?” Evelyn asked
She couldn’t st©p thinking about her family all throu-gh the night, maybe he really heard her.
Lamia nodded and Evelyn bite herl-ips
“I’m sorry,,,,I just,,miss them so much ” She replied
“I will take you back,,,” Lamia said and she shook her head
“What if something bad happens to me??” She asked
“i won’t let that happen,,, ” Lamia replied and immediately her face brightened up
“But,,on one condition ” Lamia said
“What is it?” she asked
“You are not allowed to go on with the wedding ” Lamia said
“Jareth,,,”
“You are not allowed to be with another guy,,, ” Lamia said
“How do you expect me to do that? Charles will be,,heartbroken ” Evelyn muttered
Lamia scoffed
“Fine,,do whatever you want. I will Still protect you,,,I won’t disturb you either ” He said
“I’m sorry” Evelyn muttered again
No matter how ha-rd she tried,, she still love Charles. And now,going home is ma-king her feel so happy.
“We are going to have fun before I leave right? But,,am I going to see you again?” Evelyn asked
Lamia stood up without saying a word
“I will be waiting,, get dressed ” He said and went out.
‘Did I hurt him? No,,,he said he doesn’t have emotions ” Evelyn said to herself as she stood up trying to get what to put on.

Kadence joined Charles on the long bench in the palace, a guard was behind him watching him taking his wine quietly.
He looked up from his phone when he felt her pres£nce beside him,,he smiled
“Hey Kadence,,when did you get here?” Charles asked
“Just now,,” She smiled
“Oh,,”
“You seem happy to see me,,” Kadence giggles
“Yeah,,right now,,you’re the only one I get to talk to whenever I come here” Charles replied
“So,does that mean I made you feel better?” She asked
“Somehow,,,” Charles said
Kadence smiled and pat his back
“Don’t worry ,I am here for you. Anytime, we are friends now” Kadence said
“Have you met with the queen? ” Charles asked
“No,,I saw the king anyway. I guess she doesn’t want to see anyone ” Kadence replied
Charles sighed
“I keep on feeling bad whenever she stays in that mood ” Charles said
“I know she will be fine” Kadence said

**Next Morning**
Zara who haven’t st©pped crying since her lady went missing sighed out as she stayed in front of Evelyn’s room.
She pushed the door opened and went in,,she suddenly screamed and fell down immediately she saw Evelyn on the be-d slee-ping soundly
“Arrrgh!!!!!” she screamed and ran into out of the room
She ran into one of the guards popularly called Milan,,
“What’s wrong?” He asked suspiciously
Zara keep on breathing and looking at the direction of Evelyn’s room..
“my,,,my,,lady is back” She said and Milan raised his brows
“What do you mean? Princess Evelyn? ” He asked to be sure
“I am saying the truth,,she’s asleep in the room” Zara said in tears
Milan ignored her and ran to the room immediately with Zara behind him,,
He was also shocked to see her,,,he immediately alerted the other guards to inform the king about princess Evelyn’s pres£nce.

Minutes Later**
Evelyn on the other hand could hear different voice as she sleep,she managed to open her eyes and immediately numbers of gazes landed on her.
Her parents,some guards,Zara,including Charles.
“Evelyn!!!” Queen Naomi screamed out and pu-ll-ed her into a ti-ght hvg while others watch in total confusion
“How,,,how did you get here? Where did you go ?” King Albert asked still confused
There was total silence as others was also curious about that she was looking so okay, it’s obvious she wasn’t hurt or anything
“Evelyn ,,,I asked a question ” He snapped
“I’m sorry father,,I left without telling you anything,, I take all the blames” Evelyn said with her head bowed knowing fully well that her father would never take her excuse,, how will she even explain herself?
“Without telling me? How could you? You left on your wedding day,,everyone was worried about you. Everyone! Now you’re saying you left on one silky purpose???!!” King Albert yelled
“That’s enough plea-se ”
Queen Naomi pleaded with him looking at her daughter worriedly
“For the next two weeks,,you’re not allowed to leave your room” King Albert declared angrily and Evelyn sighed unable to talk
The king went out and immediately the guards followed him.
“I’m glad you’re okay,,I was so worried ” Queen Naomi said hvgging Evelyn each second and k!ss!ngher hair while Charles stood there watching them speechlessly
Evelyn on the other hand was thinking about Lamia,,,
‘I wonder how he’s doing right now’ she thought
Queen Naomi looked at Charles and finally stood up ,
“I will excuse you two” She said and k!$$£d Evelyn’s cheek before leaving the room
Charles didn’t move for some minutes,,
“Are you mad at me?? Am sorry for leaving like that ” Evelyn said
She wasn’t expecting him to forgive her just like that anyway,,,maybe he wouldn’t be interested in the marriage again
Charles sighed and moved closer to her,,,he held her cheek and k!$$£d her forehead
“It’s a good thing you’re not hurt ” He said before hvgging her
“You’re not angry that I left on our wedding? ” She asked
“I am,,,but right now I am happy you’re okay ” Charles replied
“I’m sorry,,” Evelyn mumbled
“You can tell me where you went to right?” Charles asked
“I,,,,,,,,I,,,,,” She st©pped
“It’s okay if you can’t tell me now,,,,,” Charles said
“I’m sorry ” She said again and he nodded even though he was curious to know everything.

Evelyn didn’t say a word even as Zara helped her with her bath,she couldn’t think of something straight ,her mind was so filled up.
She had taken enough rest as Charles left her and now she felt really lonely, she can’t even go out of the palace,, she really want to leave,she almost regretted coming back home.
After taking her bath,,She st©pped Zara from helping her with a dress.
“ I’m not wearing that,,, I will dress myself up. You can leave ” She said to Zara who felt reluctant
“ I am fine Zara,, I just want to be alone,,for now,,plea-se ” She pleaded with her
“ Okay my lady ” Zara bowed her head and then left the room
Evelyn sighed and walked to the wardrobe,, she got a cropt©p and a Sk-irt. After putting it on,she walked toward the mirror and arranged her hair properly,,
She checked herself out and scoffed,, she doesn’t look like a princess and weirdly she love it.
She went back to the be-d and gr-ab her tab switching it on,,
Different messages waiting for her and she sighed,,,her eyes grew wi-de as she saw a p@rticular message on her phone.

Evelyn raised her face up trying to remember what’s happening tomorrow,,
She suddenly g@sped out and instantly jumped out of be-d dancing round the room happily ,
” This is amazing,but wait,,, will father re-lease me??” she asked herself sadly and sat down on be-d again.
Her phone rang out and she picked it immediately

“Can you call mother for me? I nee-d to talk to her,,” Evelyn said
Immediately Zara stood up and left the room.
Evelyn continue eating, at least she will be able to set her mood aside when she’s with her friends. And talking about Friends,why is Kadence not here yet? She wondered ,at that moment Queen Naomi c@m£ in.
” Baby,you called for me?? Are you okay?” Queen Naomi asked sitting down
“Mother,,,,I nee-d your help. I can’t stay here without going out for two weeks. Talk to father,,school resumes tomorrow” Evelyn said holding her mom
“Your father is angry because you have no explanation about where you went to,for holy sake Evelyn, the whole palace was troubled by your abs£nce.” Queen Naomi said and Evelyn sighed
“So,,you’re saying you can’t help me? You want me to fail?” Evelyn asked
“Tell me where you went to,,and everything will be solved” Queen Naomi said
“Fine,,,,actually,,, I was kidnapped” Evelyn said and Queen Naomi g@sped
“Kidnapped?!!” She shouted but immediately covered herl-ips with her palm
“And I was re-leased,, but the kidnapper threatened to kill me if I dare tell anyone” Evelyn started shedding fake tears
“Oh my God,, you must have went throu-gh a lot” Queen Naomi hvgged her
“Yes mom,,that is why I have to go out mother,I am really stressed right now” Evelyn said
“Don’t worry,I will talk to him. I promise”

Evelyn was still asleep when the continuous knock woke her up,,she opened her eyes slowly and ru-b it sleepily.
She got out of be-d to open the door,,She opened without checking who it was before heading to the bathroom. Zara followed her closely
“Morning my lady” Zara greeted
Evelyn answered with a nod looking at her face from the mirror
“I have a good news for you my lady” Zara said smiling
“What is it?”
“The king just approved your resumption” Zara said and Evelyn g@sped
“Oh my God!!!! Oh my God!” She screamed running back to the be-droom
She took her phone and called Alianna

📞 Hey Alianna,, just want to inform you I will be in school in less than one hour

Evelyn hanged up before she could finish her statement and ran back into the bathroom
“I’m not even done yet” Zara said to herself seeing Evelyn rushing things.
“My lady,,do you want me to choose your outfit?” Zara asked loudly
“No Zara,you can go. I will do it ” Evelyn replied from the bathroom
“She changed,, what happened to her??” Zara shook her head before leaving the room.

Evelyn checked herself out from the mirror for the last time and smiled.
She suddenly sighed out and rest her back on the wall worriedly
“Hey Jareth,,are you doing well? I don’t know if I should say this,,but I miss you” She said and then left the room.
She met her parents eating alre-ady at the dinning room,, King Albert looked up as she greeted
“What are you wearing??” He asked and Evelyn checked herself wondering what was wrong with her dress
“What’s wrong father,,, I think the outfit is okay” Evelyn said
“When did you start dressing this way??” He asked
“Father,you can’t expect me put on those dresses,,I am going to school not a royal danceball ” Evelyn said
“Dress properly,, you’re getting married in few days. This time,I hope you won’t get kidnapped” King Albert said sarcastically while Queen Naomi tapped him
“But,,,,I am not even prepared for the wedding,,,,”
“What are you talking about Evelyn?? You would have gotten married,,,,” Queen Naomi spoke up
“You should give me some time to prepare again,,plea-se” Evelyn pleaded
“You’re getting married in the next five days,that’s final” King Albert said
Evelyn bite herl-ips and then turned to leave
“Aren’t you eating??” Queen Naomi asked
“I am not hungry” Evelyn said and went out.
