Three weeks later
I’m really thankful that Edward is getting better, he refused to go to his home and not just that, he has also been invading my personal space.
He’s been dropping hint about how he wants an inti-mate relationsh!pbetween us, but I’m determined, I won’t be ma-king the same mistake I made the last time that got me into this condition.
Speaking of my condition, I’ve gotten too emotional because of the fact that I’m carrying a baby, I cry a lot and laugh a lot, even I don’t know how to manage my sudden mood swing all the time but I know everything would be fine soon.
” Edward, you have to go home, we can’t keep paying the hospital bill like this. ” I Said
” No I don’t want to ”
” Why? ”
” Sugar, I am safer here than at home ”
” You didn’t kill anyone did you? ”
” No, it’s quite obvious someone tried to kill me and I’m afraid the person might still be on the loose ”
” Edward plea-se tell me what happened, I’ve been trying to get you tell me what happened since last three weeks but you refused ” I said getting frustrated
” Trust me Tonia, I would really love to confide in you but then it’s very risky, you might be in danger if that person is still on the loose ”
” So you don’t trust me? ” I asked feeling hurt, I didn’t know I was crying until he used his thumb to wipe my tears
” Let go ” I said hitting his hand, at that moment I felt really angry, I stood up and left the ward
How on Earth can he be keeping things away from me

Tonia’s mood swing this days is getting out of hand
I was only trying to protect her for God sake
I quic-kly stood up from the be-d and rushed out after her but then I couldn’t find her
Panic gr!pp£dme as I walked down the ward hoping to see her but I didn’t, I don’t know how come that is possible because I c@m£ right after her
I walked back towards my ward calling her name but I couldn’t find her, I was about to go back down when I heard someone skrie-k from the ward beside me
The hair on my n£¢k stood up, I could swear that was Tonia
I barged into the ward to see someone dressed as a patient over Tonia who was lying on the floor, his hand was over her mouth and her shi-t’s bu-tton has obviously been tampered with because it was opened and her unmentionable was showing.
She doesn’t even look like she’s breathing
” What do you want? ” The man and God help me because I might kill someone today
The only reasonable thing I knew I did was that I pressed the bu-tton to summon the doctor on duty before I went for the per-vert, because I knew things are about to get red!.

Thankfully nob©dy c@m£ in as fast as I expected, I was able to beat the man to my heart content, before the doctor and few nurses c@m£ in to pu-ll me off he was alre-ady unconscious.
” I’m really sorry about what he did to your wife sir ” one of the doctors attending to Tonia said
” Is she okay? ” I asked ignoring what he said
” She fainted due to shock so she’s fine now and the little one is not in danger either ” The doctor said confusing me
” Little one? ” I asked and he nodded before they called him to come and help them with adjusting something un-der Tonia’s be-d
I was confused and my thoughts were disturbe-d due to what the doctor told me
Everything was beginning to make s-en-se, Tonia’s mood swings, the big T-shi-ts she was always wearing.
It didn’t take too long for me figure out that Tonia was probably carrying my baby.

He pu-ll-ed me in and tried to undress me, I fought him off and I tried to run away from him but he hit me so ha-rd that I screamed
I woke up soa-ked in sweat, it took a while for me to realize I was dreaming about what happened with the per-vert I saw earlier
Edward was sitting on a chair beside me, I quic-kly sat up and used the cloth I was wearing to cover my stomach even though my baby bu-mp wasn’t showing yet
” What are you covering? ” He asked and I shook my head
” It’s nothing, how did I get here? ” I asked trying to avoid his gaze
” You got in trouble with the per-vert in the next ward but he has been taken care of ”
” Okay ”
” Tonia ” he called and my eyes flew to his, I couldn’t look away
” Why didn’t you tell me you are carrying my baby? ” He asked and my jaw dropped
” Who on earth told you that? ” I asked when I got over the shock
” Did you really think I won’t find out? ” He asked
” Well… I was going to tell you, not now but later ”
” When the baby bu-mp is showing and I get to find out with the world? ”
” I didn’t mean it like that, I’m carrying your baby true, but I’m not going to ab-ort my baby, you don’t have to take responsibility as the father of the baby it’s fine, just let him take your last name, if you don’t want that too, no problem I’d think of something…. ”
” Seriously? ” He asked looking at me like I just stole his family’s heirloom
” Yeah seriously, Once you are fully okay we’d be out of your…. ” He didn’t let me finish, he stood up and left the room without saying another word
I was too tired to go after him but theb I didn’t nee-d to do that because few minutes later I saw him throu-gh,walking out of the hospital, out of my life again.
I couldn’t help but break into tears, I knew it, that was the main reason why I didn’t want to tell him
The fear of him rejecting us on the sp©t.

I didn’t know when I sle-pt off all I know was I woke up because someone called my name
I opened my eyes and looked around until my eyes settled on Edward who was standing at the door
” You c@m£ back? ” I asked
” I am not planning on leaving you Tonia, you are carrying my baby ” he replied and my heart skipped a bit
” I thought you were going to leave me, I thought you didn’t want us ” I said breaking into tears, he c@m£ closer and put his hand around me
” Hey look at me, I am not leaving you, and there’s no way I don’t want my child, infact I bought this for you, let’s get married and raise our child well ” he said stretching an opened box which was holding a diamond ring
My happiness knew no bound, I was going to just say yes and collect the ring but reality sl@pped me right in the face, he doesn’t love me, he wants to marry me because of the baby.
God forbid it that I marry him just because of the baby.
” No! ”
” No? ” He asked obviously shocked I turned him down
” You heard me right ”
” You realize you just rejected my offer right? ”
” Yes I do ” I said getting out of the be-d, I tried to move past him but he pu-ll-ed me back
” Is there a guy? ” He asked and I don’t why but I got furious
” A guy?…. A guy?!, I’ve been with you for three weeks plus, have you ever seen a guy with me? ”
” Forgive me, who wants to go out with someone carrying another man’s baby anyway? ”

I walked out the word without another word, I made my way to the main road to look for a car, because I really nee-d to get home, I don’t mind leaving my things in the hospital I’d get them later, right now I nee-d to get home and clear my head.
I flagged down a taxi and told him my destination, but before I could enter someone pu-ll-ed me away
” What do you think you are doing? ” Edward asked and I rolled my eyes
” I should have known you’d follow me , plea-se let go of me ”
” I’m not going to do that, I can’t let you run off with my baby ”
” Just you know, that’s my baby too and I have everything right you do too, so let go of me ” I said trying to pu-ll my hand out of his but he held on ti-ght
He pu-ll-ed me down the street till we got to where a man was standing near a car, he collected the car key from him and unlocked it
” Get in ” he ordered but I shook my head
” Don’t test my patience Tonia, get in! ” He ordered again, his eyes were getting stormy and his brows were de-epening into a frown
I didn’t know what he would do next so I just went into the car but definitely not without complaining.
Who does this guy think he is for Christ sake?.

I really didn’t mean to piss Tonia off or hurt her, Tonia is definitely someone you’d want whether she is pregnant or not, I only said that because she rejected my offer.
I was giving her an opportunity any other girl would jump at, but she refused me with no explanation, the fact that she said no hurts a lot, I was pissed off to and when she left me in that ward I got furious.
By the time we got to my place she was alre-ady asleep, I didn’t want to disturb her so once the security guard opened the gate, I drove in and parked but I didn’t wake her, I didn’t have to because she must have noticed the car st©pped, she opened her eyes, then her eyes flew to mine, she frowned then rolled her eyes.
” Would let me out of this car? ” She asked and I quic-kly unlocked the door
She c@m£ down first and I c@m£ down immediately after she got down
” You should have waited for me to help you”
” I don’t nee-d your help ”
” Tonia see, I’m very sorry ” I apologized but the moment those words left my mouth, I shoe left her leg and she aimed for my head.
This is definitely not going to be easy.

” Did you actually nee-d to do that before you say what’s on your mind? ” He asked stepping away from me
” I nee-ded to knock some s-en-se into your head sire, you really don’t know how to treat women do you? ”
” How do you expect me to treat you well, you refused to marry me ”
” For a reason I believe you would thank me for later and I’m sure you don’t have to marry me before you treat me well. ”
” What reason Tonia?, You rejected me ” he said folding his arms against his che-st then he dropped them again
” I rejected you for our own good, my good, your good and our baby’s good ”
” I don’t un-derstand you at all ”
” You don’t un-derstand women at all not just me ” I replied, he was going to say something but he st©pped, he held my hand and he took me into the house
He took me upstairs, showed me around then he took me to a room
” This is your room ”
” My room?, No I’m not staying here ” I said trying to move away from the door but he pu-ll-ed me back
” Tonia don’t test my patience, you are not just going to stay in this room, you are taking your bath, changing your cloth and coming back down stairs to eat ” he said frowning this made me really furious
” Who are you to tell me what to do? ” I asked trying to match his height
” The father of the child you are carrying baby girl, like I said don’t test my patience or I’d str!p you n-ked and carry you into that bathroom ”
I don’t want him to str!p me n-ked so I stomped into the room and slammed the door

Really Tonia is acting like a child that nee-ds to be sp@ñked, I’m doing all of this for her own good and she’s acting like I’m trying to behead her.
As if rejecting me is not enough, she is saying she rejected me for my own good, this is not for anyone’s good, can’t she see?
I went to the kitchen and started preparing pasta, after an hour of cooking I finished up but Tonia was not downstairs yet
I went upstairs to call her but she refused to open the door
” Tonia I promise you if I manage to get this door open by my self you’d be in big trouble ”
” St©p talking to me like I am a child for God sake ”
” St©p acting like one ”
” You are crazy Edward ”
” I know, now open this door Tonia! ”
” No! ”
” Tonia don’t make me look for the master key, open this door! ” I yelled but she didn’t reply, I thought she was not going to reply but then she opened the door .
” I opened this door because I’m hungry ” she said walking to the dinning room
Really this is not the Tonia I knew in school, is it the pregnancy that is causing this or what?.
