I sat down outside and told Laura what happen- what Kendrick did to me.
“he betrayed you and that stupid girl you call a friend! i never thought Nica will do that to you. Why will Kendrick even allow that!
“i don’t know Laura but all i know is that am so much hurt about this,” i said trying ha-rd not to shed any tears again.
“if Kendrick is cheating why not leave him. What he did is unforgivable, why not walked away and moved with your life,”
“it not that easy Laura. I love Kendrick and am not giving up on him because he cheat, no one is perfect and i won’t allow what he did to split us apart because it will gonna be difficult to start all over again with someone else,”
“but you can’t keep on getting hurt!
“i guess is better this way than to lose Kendrick, but for now i just need some time away from him!
▪Kendrick’s POV▪▪
I kept calling and texting Starr but she wasn’t picking nor replying to any of my messages. Now i have finally lose her- all because of my stupidity, i shouldn’t have listen to Nica at first place.
“and if anything bad should happen to Starr you will pay for it,” my dad yelled at me.
“am not gonna allow that, Starr is mine and has always been mine and i will do everything to bring her back to my life,”
“i hope you do that fast because this time she might leave you for good because you were so stupid to have get her friend pregnant!, he yelled.

▪▪The next morning, i quickly went straight to Starr. I won’t stop until she forgive me. I guess i was just in time when i saw her leaving.
“Kendrick! Laura called.
“i need to talk to Starr,” i said to her.
“not after what you did! Starr is so much hurt and doesn’t want you for now. Please Kendrick give her time,” she said.
“i just want to at least talk to her,” i yelled then quickly rushed to Starr who was about to leave.
“Starr!
“Kendrick! haven’t i told you to give me some space,” she said icily.
“i know Starr but i just couldn’t take it. I love you and i don’t want to lose you,”
“when you were having fun with Nica you never thought of losing me.. right? Kendrick, please don’t make it difficult for me, just go away,” she yelled then hurriedly left. I ruffle my hair and hit my fist on the wall, feeling so angry about everything.
“i love you Starr,! I yelled letting the tears from my eyes.
“i told you, Starr want to be alone for now,” Laura said behind me while i sighed.
“it okay, but tell her am not gonna give up on her,” i said then quickly left.
I arrived back home feeling like my world has crumbled. I was surprise to see Nica- not again!
“what did you want? i yelled at her.
“so what about you and Starr, haven’t she forgiven you yet?
“just leave before i do something stupid to you!
“i told you this earlier, Starr doesn’t really love you because if she does, she will have forgiven you already,” she said
“it not that easy and it’s not what you think. And can you just leave,”
“is it now a crime to come and visit the father of my child!
“just leave Nica.. don’t ever come back,” i yelled at her.
“that’s impossible you know! as far as i still carry your child you’ll always be part of me and i won’t leave you alone,” she said before leaving….

▪▪Starr’s POV?
I headed straight to work, to cool off my head. I just want something to distract me, i want to keep my kind busy and forget about my pains. I remembered what Kendrick did to Dr. Greg and i thought of going to see him, maybe to apologies! I headed to his office and i was glad to see him.
“Starr! he called, surprise.
“good morning…
“are you sure you’re good to work today? he asked looking worried.
“sure i don’t want to stay at home doing nothing. I just want to forget my pains,” i said slowly.
“and am sorry for what Kendrick did to you the other day, he’s a jealous freak,” i said while he nodded.
“i understand that and i sometimes feel bad. I guess it better i keep my distance in order not to jeopardize your relationship with Kendrick, you both deserves each other,” he said while my eyes get clouded with tears as i turn to leave.
“are you okay? he asked again.
“Kendrick cheated.. he cheated on me,” i said.
“what! he did? Greg asked as he walked closer to me.
“i just want to be strong in all this,” i said wiping away my tears.
“why will he do that! he said then pulled me in a hug.
“it okay Starr, just come with me,” he said then disentangled from the hug. He held my hand as we walked outside to his car. I wanted to ask were he’ll take to but i just kept quiet and sat down beside him in the car.
The drive was quiet and long, all i could think of was Kendrick. I still love him but how can i even forgive him- maybe i should just try to forgive him then everything might go back to normal.
▪▪Sarah’s POV▪▪
“am not going there mother, can you just stop pressurizing me! i yelled into the phone.
“okay.. do as you wish! she yelled back while i hanged up the call. I don’t know why but i don’t seems to like her now, ever since Grandma Amelia told me what she did, i felt so much hatred towards my mom. I want to tell dad everything especially now that Princess is alive.
I went to see Greg in his office but was surprise when i saw him with that Starr! Why did she always showed up whenever i want to see Greg. It a good thing they didn’t see me, i followed them outside and was shocked when i saw her in his car.
“will she ever leave Greg for me! i frowned then hurriedly left. Am not gonna give up on Greg no matter what!
▪▪Starr’s POV?▪▪
“WOW! I smiled as i stare at the large beautiful amusement park with lots of kids and adult. It has a gorgeous scenery and it’s more beautiful than some parks i have seen because this is just so different,
it has a beautiful bridge to stand over the river also a golf course across the river, there are swings for kids, lovely stream with a waterfall and a little footbridge. It so magnificent as i stare at the beauty of the nature.
“you like it here? he asked while i nodded with a smile.
“whenever am sad or angry, i always come here to ease my pain,” he said while i smiled.
“this place look like paradise, am not gonna leave here without taking pictures,” i smiled then removed my phone from my purse and take a selfie- just then phone went off. Low battery.. why will it have to be now. Kendrick is just a jerk, he was the one busy calling and sending me messages now the phone is dead.
“you can have mine,” Greg said while i stare at his phone.
“really?
“sure! he smiled, i collected it. his phone is just so good and looks so expensive for me hold or even snapped pictures with.
“you can do whatever you want to, once you charge your phone then i send the pictures to you,” he said while i smiled.
“thanks,” i smiled. I stare at the children and watch them play happily that reminds me of Kendrick, we use to be so happy and cool with each other when we were kids but now- everything has changed!
“this place also remind me of my childhood, we like being to places like this with my friends Princess and Sarah. We use to be so happy with each other but everything changed when Princess went missing but am glad she’s still alive because there’s hope for us-,” he said while i replied with a smile not knowing what to say about that.
“but Starr can i ask you something?
“yea, what is it? i asked.
“the necklace i one saw on your neck, where’s it? you haven’t put it on ever since that day! he asked, why is he even interested in the necklace.
“yea. The necklace was from my late dad. Please Greg let not talk about this,” i said while he nodded.
“oh! am sorry i don’t mean to, am just curious,” he said while i nodded.
“okay then, let go and catch some fun,” he said while i smiled.
▪▪▪ I stood in amazement as i watch the game they were playing.
“will you like to play? he asked while i nodded.
“i will like to try anything here,” i chuckle.
“good day Dr. Greg,” one of man greeted.
“nice seeing you Marlon,” Greg replied.
“is she your girlfriend? one of the woman asked while i rolled my eyes.
“you guys look so sweet together,” the other said while Greg chuckle.
“she’s my friend! Greg said while i nodded.
“oh! too bad you know. Well you want to play the game, that’s perfect because it only for couple’s like you,” she giggle.
“those women are so dramatic,” i whisper to Greg while he nodded.
“just go and join the rest, it game is just so simple,” she said while Greg held my hand and we walked towards the other people.
“am just so nervous,” i said to him while he smiled.
“it just a game, it’s for fun and nothing more,” he said making me smile.
▪▪Laura’s POV▪▪
I smiled as mom told me what to do. I’ve agreed to do what she ask me to do, i guess she’s right after all. I know Starr is a good person but i somehow feel if she haven’t come into our lives my dad will still be alive but now that i lose my dad and her parents showed up. She will have that good life which i never did! so i guess it better i stopped that.
I was at work that day as i told Tony everything.
“yes Tony, i was scared that’s why i didn’t tell the officer everything that day. According to what all of you were saying am the girl Mr. Arnold adopted and you can ask my mom if you want to! He was shocked by what i said and i just keep praying in my heart that this plan will work out somehow, at least for mom!
▪▪Starr’s POV▪▪
“We won,” i smiled then hug-ged Greg.
“we just took second and you look really happy like you’ve won a medal,” he said while i look at the couple who took first, they look really sweet!
“yes, but that was a good one you know,” i smiled. I never thought after what happen i will be able to smile or look this happy but i guess this work out. Greg made me so happy today, we took lots of pictures together.
“congratulation doc! you and your girlfriend did so well,” Marlon said
“thank you,” Greg smiled.
“am his friend not girlfriend please,” i said while the man nodded.
“here’s your gift,” one of woman who directed us here came with a big teddy bear and some package of chocolates.
“this for for the second position!
“oh, i never thought you include this in your game! i said
“of course we do,” she smiled while i collect the big teddy bear and chocolate.
“seems you have a lot to hold today,” Greg said while i smiled.
“i so much love teddies,” i squeaked.
“well it all yours,”
“but we played it together!
“yea but you can have it, i guess today is your lucky day,” he said.
“thank you for today,” i smiled.
“it nothing Starr, just want to make you feel better,”
“and it really work because am happy now,” i said.
“you can just keep that in my car,” he said while i nodded. We walked hand in hand to his car while i dropped the teddy bear there.
“so what’s are you gonna call it? he asked.
“huh! maybe…
“you can it Greg! he said while i arched my eyebrow.
“your name? i laughed.
“yea, so it can always remind you of me,” he said while i smiled.
“as you wish,” i said.
The rest of the day was fun and i was glad when Greg later took me home.
▪I arrived home and that makes me sad knowing well that am not gonna see dad again, i miss him so much!
I headed straight to my room and dropped the teddy bear as i stare at it.
“thank you Dr. Greg,” i stupidly said to the teddy bear then smiled.
“thank you for making me happy even without asking questions, you’re indeed a friend,” i smiled hugging the teddy bear.
Kate’s POV▪▪
I was glad when Laura accept to do that. Now i have to get rid of Starr by all means before they eventually find out the real truth.
We were at the mansion with Laura and i could tell the woman was happy knowing fully well that Laura is now her missing daughter.
“thank you for telling us the whole truth,” the woman said hugging Laura.
“i know i was never in good terms with my husband and if Arnold was here he would have tell the truth. I guess he was scared of losing Laura to you that’s why? i said in tears.
“but what about the other girl, your daughter? Mr. Robert asked.
“she’s still my daughter,” i said.
“i couldn’t remember anything.. but i’ve always wanted to find my real family. Sorry it has to take this long,” Laura said in tears while i smiled.
“Thank you Kate, we’ll investigate more about this because am not satisfied with this,” the officer said.

▪▪Laura’s POV▪▪
I watch mom leave and now i really feel so nervous, i don’t even know what to say again.
“mom, dad! you have to do a DNA test first, maybe this could be an imposter, i don’t think she’s my sister,” Sarah said. I can’t believe i have to act like a sister to this lady, i wonder how Starr will react to this if she knows Sarah is her so called sister!
“we know that Sarah,” the woman who seems to be Starr’s mom said.
“we are so sorry Princess.. it took us so long to find you,” she cried.
“welcome back home Laura,” Mr. Edward said while i smiled.
“I will still investigate about Kate and her daughter Starr,” Robert said while i felt my heart beating so fast.
“you don’t have to do that officer. We’ve find Princess and this all that matters to us,” mom said while i nodded.
▪▪Sarah’s POV▪▪
I went to my room not knowing what to feel nor do again. Laura is Princess, how could that even be! Things are just happening so fast than i thought.
But why didn’t i feel that, i don’t even like her. I quickly called Greg and told him about he was surprises as well, he said he’s coming right away to see her.
If Laura is Princess i guess she suppose to the have the mark she got when she denote a kidney for me because i still mine!!!
▪▪Greg’s POV▪▪
I couldn’t help but keep smiling as i stare at my picture with Starr. It was so much fun being with her at the park. She’s just so beautiful and that’s makes me wonder why Kendrick will cheat on her. I thought he loved her and that’s why he’s always jealous!
I so lost in my thoughts when Sarah called me on phone, telling me about Princess. It was sudden and i can’t wait to see Princess again but why will it have to turn out someone else. I have always feel and thought it might be Starr somehow because of the necklace i once saw her with! even thou i have no prove of that but then i guess my instinct are wrong!
▪▪Starr’s POV▪▪
Laura wasn’t home and i wonder what she’s up to this time. I called her severally but she wasn’t picking any of my calls. I went to see Kendrick, i guess am ready to see him now and tell him what’s actually on my mind.
I knock the door and Kendrick opened, he looked surprise to see me.
“Starr! he called while i hug-ged him.
“it okay Kendrick. I’ve forgiven you,” i said while he stared at me surprised.
“you did?
“there’s no need of holding grudges, i know you still love me and that’s what love is after all. Love forgives all things,” i said while he hug-ged me more tighter.
“thank you Starr, am sorry for what i did. Thank you so much,” he smiled.
“i can’t live without you Kendrick and i won’t allow just a mistake destroy the relationship we build for years. Am willing to let go and start afresh with you because i love you so much. My heart is only meant to love you alone and no one else,” i said tearfully while he wiped my tears with his thumb then ki-ssed me.
“this time am not gonna hurt you. I promise you this! he whisper then ki-ssed me pa-ssionately…
