“i love you so much Starr,” Kendrick said while i smiled.
“am sorry i have to drag you into my mess,”
“i know that Kendrick, just that am sad because i have to share you with someone else,” i said sadly.
“no Starr, you don’t have to think that way because you’re not sharing with anyone. Nica is just so stubborn because she refused to get rid of it,”
“that’s too bad you know. You can’t ask her to do something that might risk her life. It your fault and you just have to take the consequence,” i said.
“i feel so ashamed of myself now, am so sorry,” he nudge me gently then ki-ssed my hair.
▪▪▪Greg’s POV▪▪▪
I was surprise to see the girl standing in front of me. Isn’t this Starr’s sister!
“Princess is back to us Greg, it been a long time now,” Mabel said while i smiled.
“welcome home Princess,” I said then hug-ged Laura.
“why is everyone calling me Princess? she asked while i smiled.
“i guess by now you should have at least regain your memory seeing your whole family and also your friends. Can’t you at least remember something like this! Sarah said then moved closer to Laura and raise her top.
“dad, i still have the mark i got from the surgery and i know Princess might still have it but why isn’t she having anything? Sarah asked as we all stared at the scar on Sarah’s tommy while Laura has nothing.
“it.. it fade anyway i guess and what mark are you talking about. I lose my memory and the doctor said i can’t regain it not now and not ever. If am not accepted her just tell me so i can leave. After all am not use to this life,” she said sadly.
“of course not my dear, we believe you and you’re welcome here,” Mabel told her.
“but you still have to do the DNA test! Sarah said while i nodded.
“i will do that myself i guess this is the best way to handle this,” i said while Mr. Edward nodded.
“we’ll do that as soon as possible but what important to me is that Princess is saved and back to me alive,” Mabel smiled.
I was about to leave when Sarah walked up to me.
“everything is now over,” she said.
“yes Princess is back, what a small world after all,” i said.
“but i still think its better they conduct this DNA test as soon as possible. Now that Princess is back i don’t even feel so happy about it and why isn’t she having the scar? Sarah asked.
“this something that also left me speechless Sarah. I just wish Mr. Arnold was still alive because i know for sure only him can tell us the whole truth,”
“yes! this for the sake of mom Mabel and dad. They seems so happy now, i guess that what’s important,”.
▪▪Kendrick’s POV▪▪
I was surprise when uncle Jeff came. Dad said he was mom’s brother but left ever since i was a kid. We thought he was dead because it been long we have not communicated nor heard from him but now he’s back to us, so damn rich.
“i haven’t forgotten about you Kendrick and i was building a better future for you and your dad, i wish Fredrick is also here as well as my sister too. But now am willing to take you back to New York so you can have a better life,” he said while i felt so happy. This the perfect opportunity for things to get much better for me and my dad.
“thank you so much Jeff for still thinking about us, it wasn’t easy taking care Kendrick all alone and i guess this the right time for things to change,” dad said.
“but dad, i wish to go there to have a better life but what about Starr. She forgave me and we are cool with each other i don’t want to lose her again, will she be able to wait for me or will she even agree go alone with me? i asked
“Starr loves you so much and i guess is better if you tell her first so you could hear from her,” dad said while i nodded.
I felt so happy, now i will be able to give Starr the good life she always deserves and no one, not even that Greg will be able to take her away from me this time.
▪▪The next day, i went to tell Starr the good news but she told me something which got me so surprised that Laura found her real parents- that sound so stupid me!
“Dr. Greg told me that at work and a Laura isn’t picking up my calls. Why can’t she call and tell me that herself,” she said so worried.
“Laura is not adopted! i mean how did that even happen. You’re the adopted one,” i said to her while she looked confused.
“and i have also not heard from her mother, Mrs Kate. If Laura was truly adopted Mr. Arnold would have tell me that am gonna find out this myself. Greg told she’s already at the mansion and am going there to ask her why she’s lying to those people and i need an explanation from her, how can she fake something like that,”
“this something you need to discuss with her. Laura can be so stupid atimes and who knows if that stupid mother of hers is part of it,” I said a little bit angry.
“it okay Ken, let me get you some drink before i finish cooking,” she said while i nodded. I watched her walked to the kitchen. Suddenly her phone vibrate and a text came in. It from Laura.
*can you just stop calling me. I will explain things to you later* I read the message and wonder what Laura is up to. My eyes went to the previous message which was from Greg.
Greg;- Do you still remember what you once told me? that When we love, we get hurt and we get hurt we start hating things around us, we believe that no true love exist and we sometimes feel like quitting but then when we start to hate we also try to forget and when we try to forget to start to miss! and when we miss, we fall in love again. That’s the cycle and that’s life. Just try to forgive Kendrick or try to moved on from it. Just be strong** I was surprise to see his message, did Starr even told him what i did!!! i scrolled down and read her replied.
Starr;- *thank you Greg, thank you for cheering me up,*
I frown at the message, wondering why she have to tell him that i got Nica pregnant.
I went into her gallery and was so shocked to see their pictures together at the park and the worse part is that they look so happy together like some couple’s.
“here is your drink,” Starr voice echoed while i was startled.
“oh sorry if i scare you.. ,” she smiled then sat down beside me.
“what this? i asked showing her the pictures.
“Greg took me out to cheer me up but it nothing. He’s just a friend,” she said.
“just a friend! he was hugging you in the picture and why will you even follow him? i yelled at her.
“because i have no one to run to at that time. Father is gone, Laura is nowhere to be seen and Nica has betrayed me, both of you betrayed me and i was so angry at you then. Please Kendrick just trust me in this. It means nothing at all,” she said while i stood up.
“i know i did the wrong thing and i regret doing that but why will you have to tell him what happen! why will you tell him i got your friend pregnant? so he can disrespect me and think i don’t deserve you? how dare you disrespect me this way Starr i thought this was just between us but you went about telling people this so you they can paint me black,” i yelled.
“of course not and Greg didn’t take it the wrong way. Am sorry Kendrick, am sorry if you’re hurt by this,” she said trying to hold my hand but i step back. I guess my relationship with Starr will never gonna work out especially not when am like this.
“thank you Starr! now i know who really you are behind my back! i yelled then walked out in anger. I return back home feeling so angry about the whole thing. This what she do behind me- telling the so called Greg about my faults so he can disrespect me and she knows how much i hate that. I hate it whenever anyone does that to me, yes i know i did the wrong thing but she don’t have to go about telling him that!
“Kendrick! i heard a voice called bringing me out of my thoughts.
“so what about what you told me the last time,” Nica asked while i sighed.
“why did you always come the wrong time,”
“my mom want to see you Kendrick and it about the pregnancy. This about your child and don’t be too heartless to ask me to ab-ort me this baby,” she said.
“no Nica, i guess it will be much better if i concentrate on my baby, our baby,” i said.
“and Starr? she asked.
“i don’t know,” i said trying to blink back the tears in my eyes.

▪▪ Starr’s POV▪▪
I kept calling Kendrick but he was’t picking up my calls. I got so worried i don’t want to lose him and i guess he’s right i shouldn’t have tell Greg about this. I wanted to make him understand that my intentions wasn’t to paint him black but he was just too angry to listen. I picked up my bag and headed straight to where Laura is, i guess after confronting her i will go and see Kendrick, i need to fix this with him. We need to understand each other this time, because i need him..
At the mansion..✨
Mabel’s POV▪▪
The doorbell rang and i went to open it, i was surprise to see the beautiful lady standing in front of me. She looks so familiar and i guess she’s the same girl we meet at the shopping mall which Tony introduced her as his friend. Why am i feeling this different now like i have known her for ages and why did she looks so familiar.

“good Ma’am ,” she smiled revealing her dimples and that makes me remember Princess- yes Princess has dimples but Laura is so different. I have notice that since and Edward also notice that too but we just keep our cool until the DNA test is done. Somehow i feel Laura isn’t my daughter but.. but where could the real Princess be? why is it this difficult to look for her or has she completely changed to the extent that her dimples has vanished!
“am here to see my sister,” she said while i smiled.
“you mean Laura? i asked while she nodded.
“Starr! Laura called then quickly walked up to us.
“you don’t have to worry mom, i will talk to her privately,” Laura said while i nodded then left them.
Laura’s POV▪▪▪
Lots of people are beginning to doubt me and i have to do everything possible to duped them so i and my mom will leave far away from here to live the kind of life we’ve always wanted.
“why are you here and how did you know this address? i asked Starr.
“i miss you Laura but what the heck is the news am hearing.. you’re not adopted! she said while i laughed.
“don’t even start that before anyone will hear you. Am adopted. That’s was a secret mom and dad never told you! i yelled at her.
“no Laura i know you’re just fooling those people. Am the one adopted so please tell me the truth about what you’re doing? she asked almost in tears.
“am with my real parents and am enjoying what belong to me. Starr just leave, i don’t need you…
“but dad always want us to stay together as sisters. You’re the only sister i had Laura. Kendrick betrayed me by getting my best friend pregnant, dad is gone and you know for sure your mom don’t like me. You’re the only one i have, please let go back home at least for dad. please Laura,” she pleaded in tears while i laughed sarcastically.
“that will never gonna happen! now leave,” i pushed her making her handbag to fall from her hand.
“i don’t ever want to see you again, you’re not my sister. You’re just a burden to us. It because of you mom spent the fifteen years in prison she wasn’t there for me when when i needed her the most all because of you! she missed a lot in my life for this fifteen years and it’s all because of you, it still your fault my dad is dead. You kill father because you’re a bad luck to us ever since you were adopted. I hate you Starr,” i yelled at her in tears then pushed her out.
.I quickly rushed to my room and called mom.
“Starr is already suspecting me, everyone is doubting me mom i don’t want to get into trouble,” i said.
“don’t worry Laura, just get the money from them tell them you need to pay some debt. Just be smart in this,” she yelled at me.
“okay mom, i will try to but what about Starr what if she told them she’s the one adopted! what if she told Greg or Tony? i asked so worried.
“i will get rid of her before she do that,” mom said while i smirk then hanged up the call.

Sarah’s POV
I stood in a corner and watch the two sister’s quarrel. Starr is the adopted one! now am so confused, very confused about the whole thing. What did Laura mean by Starr was a bad luck to them ever since she was adopted. I walked to the door and saw the handbag Starr left. I guess she forgot it. I pick up the bag and went outside to check if she’s still here but unfortunately she’s gone already. I slowly open the bag then saw a book, i removed it. *My diary* is boldly written at the front page.
Her diary might have the answers to all my questions. I smiled then walked to my room to read what’s inside….
