▪▪Kendrick’s POV▪▪
I ruffle my hair, looking so troubled. Starr has already left and i felt so stupid for what i said to her. She’s right, today is my birthday and we shouldn’t be arguing over this.
“Ken! dad called while i turned to look at him.
“dad!
“are you and Starr fighting again? he asked.
“its just a little misunderstanding, we’ll fix this,” i said.
“you just have to understand her Ken, you don’t have to get jealous always,”
“i know dad but i couldn’t help it,”
“you have to control your temper, i mean you don’t have to agree with whatever anyone told you about her because by now you should trust her,” he said while i nodded.
“just thinking about your brother Fredrick and wonder where is he, if he’s still alive? and knows today is he’s birthday” he said sadly while i sighed.
“yes dad, but what’s important is that we are happy, just the two of us,”
“but i guess we will be much happier if your mother is here,” he said bringing back the old memories…
Starr’s POV ?
I went back home feeling so sad and bitter. Why is Kendrick like this? why can’t he just choose to see that am not like other girls who will leave him for some other rich guys. Not when things are starting to get better, i thought today will just be the best but he ruined it. I was still lost in my thought when my phone rang, i thought it was Kendrik but i felt so disappointed to see the caller was Dr. Greg.
“hello Sir,”
“Starr! he called
“how are you doing? it been quiet some time we get to talk to each other,” he said.
“sure, am fine,”
“okay then, i just called to know how you’re doing,”
“thank you so much,” i smiled then hanged up the call.
“so how is Kendrick? and why did you come home early? Laura asked when she fully walked to the room.
“nothing! he was just mad at me for seeing me with Tony. am just confused!
“Kendrick is such a jealous freak and this sound stupid, i thought by now you guys trust each other?
“i thought so and that’s what he been saying. He looked so angry earlier and the best thing to do is to leave. I guess we both need some time away from each other.
* ▪▪Sarah’s POV▪▪
I frowned when i heard Greg speaking with Starr on phone, now what did he want from her and why was he even calling her.
“Tony called and was worried about you,” he said.
“I’ve called dad already and i told him am going back home tomorrow,”
“are you sure about this? he asked.
“i have to get back to work and face my problems, i also need mom to do some explanations to me, i have lots of things to handle,” i said.
“just be careful Sarah and if you need any help you shouldn’t hesitate to call me,” he said while i nodded.

✨The next day.. i first went to Mom’s place to pack my things, she was acting all nice and cool.
“i thought am not gonna ever see you again,” she said while i kept quiet giving her silent treatment.
“and why are you packing your things Sarah? talk to me and stop giving me those silence treatment,” she yelled.
“am staying with dad, i guess that’s much better,”
“so what’s now? are you gonna expose your grand mother to her son?
“you’re also involve in this mom, stop denying it and stop pushing the blame on Grandma Amelia,”
“Sarah, am glad you’ve finally come back to us. Am so worried and i thought i will lose you, i hate it whenever we quarrel please can you just stop all this,”
“i won’t stop until i get justice for Princess,”
“what justice Sarah! you might end up getting hurt yourself. Princess is longed gone and am sorry for not telling you the truth all these years. We don’t have to keep on arguing over this. Remember it’s your stupid dad that started all these and that’s because he couldn’t love me, Mabel was also the reason i end up being a single mother. If Mabel wasn’t in the picture non of this would have happen,” she said in tears.
“no mom, it because you guys weren’t destined for each other,” i said.
“Princess isn’t in the picture but yet Greg couldn’t love you back and am very sure if Princess was to be alive lots of things will have happen which you wouldn’t want. Sarah am sorry for everything, i love you so much and i just want the best for you,” she said.
“i love you too mother but i guess we need some time away from each other. Just give me time to fix myself,” i said.
“okay, i just hope it won’t take long,” she said..
✨I arrived at dad’s mansion and he seems happy to see me.
“thank goodness you picked my call Sarah, where have you been all this while? he asked.
“somewhere far to cool off my head,” i said sadly.
“you don’t look happy either, what’s wrong with you? he asked.
“nothing much dad!
“welcome home Sarah,” Mom Mabel said happily while i stare at her without saying anything.
“i need some rest,” i said then walked upstairs to my room, not long after Grandma entered and i felt so nervous seeing her.
“welcome home Sarah,” she smiled then sat down beside me on the bed.
“where have you been all this while? she asked.
“somewhere far grandma, but am just curious about thing and i guess only you have the answers,” i said.
“what is it? she asked..
“it about Princess, what actually happen to her and who was the mastermind behind it? i asked while she looked shocked.
“Princess?
“yes, please just tell me everything you know. I know my mom is involve in this but she’s now pushing the blame on you! i just need to know the whole truth,” i clasped my palms together, trying to hold back my tears.
“i don’t know anything Sarah…,” she stammered.
“are you sure? or you’re just lying to me. Please tell me the whole truth,” i pleaded.
“it all my fault… it all my fault Sarah,” she started while i was surprise to hear her say that.
“i’ve always wanted Erica for your dad and i always supported her for all the wrong doings she did, but then everything was changed when my son couldn’t love her back even after their marriage and even after having you as their daughter,
she told me she wanted to get rid of Princess so she could make Edward and Mabel pay for what they did to her. I was surprise! i never knew her jealousy will lead to this, i didn’t agree with her on that but she went on with the plan and i wasn’t able to save Princess i couldn’t even tell my son about this because Erica can turn the table around me. The only person that knows of this back then was your grandfather- my husband but your mother killed him too,” she cried while i was stunned to hear all that.
“she killed grandpa, does dad knows about that? i asked.
“no, i couldn’t bring myself to tell him anything. Your grandpa eavesdropped on our conversation and he was so angry with me for siding with Erica but then Erica pushed him and with that one little push led to this dead. I felt so horrible and for being the reason for my husband’s dead, my grand daughter dead and also my son sadness
and failure in his marriage. Edward will never forgive me for all these. I know they truth yet am keeping it away from everyone,” she cried. I was surprise, so grandma knew a lot about my mom yet she couldn’t tell dad about this.
“please Sarah i hope you won’t tell anyone about this, i don’t want to go to jail, i don’t want to lose my son, i have already lose my husband and grand daughter, i don’t want that to happen,” she said holding my hands.
“but… when are you planning to tell them?
“i don’t know Sarah, your mom is just too evil and i regret ever knowing her and being on her side at first,”
“it okay grandma, i don’t know if mom is ready to change. I won’t tell anyone about this for now but i don’t think i can keep it as long as you did. Dad and Mom Mabel deserves to the know the whole truth and i know dad will somehow forgive you but as for my mom i don’t think that will ever happen!
…A week Later…✨
?Starr’s POV▪▪
Am glad i and Kendrick were able to fix things and now here he is at our house.
I, Ken and dad had dinner together, Laura wasn’t home and i wonder what she’s up to.
“am sorry Starr, i promise not to bother you about anything again. I trust you,” he said while i smiled.
“okay love birds our food is getting cold,” dad said while i laughed.
“dad, Starr am back! Laura voice echoed as she walked in looking so happy.
“and guess who we have here,” she said still standing at the door.
“who’s it? dad asked.
“it mom,” she squeaked while Mrs. Kate walked and i was surprised to see her.
“mom is out of Prison, she’s now free,” Laura smiled while i stood up.
“Starr dear,” Mrs. Kate said in a cracking voice as she fully walked in while dad stood up and walked to her.
“how did you find us here Kate, please we don’t need you here,” he said to her.
“am here for my daughter and also to see Starr i want to ask for her forgiveness,” she said while Kendrick held my wrist.
“you’re not going close to that woman,” he whisper.
“i have to Ken, you don’t have to worry,” i said to him.
“i know i have wronged you, i know i was such a horrible person and i deserves more than this,” she cried then run to my arms and hug-ged me so tight.
“please forgive me my child, if only i can turn back the hands of time i would have changed a lot of things and accept you as my daughter,” she said while i hug-ged her back, not knowing what to say, my eyes were clouded up with tears.
“i have already forgiven you and am also sorry, somehow i guilty because it all my fault you ended up in prison for so long,” i said.
“it not your fault, i payed for my sins and am out to start a new life, during those days in prison i have learnt my lesson and am willing to set things right for good,” she said while i smiled.
“i just hope you’re saying the truth,” Kendrick spoke angrily at her.
“my actions will tell you a lot about me. Only me knows what i pas-sthrou-ghin prison and i would never allow that to happen, thank you for forgiving me Starr,” she smiled wiping way her tears..
“am still not satisfied with this because i know you too well so just leave my house,” dad said while Laura looked at him.
“dad i know you hate mom but please try to understand her now, after all she has paid for her sins,” Laura said.
“it okay.. i have to leave now,” she said then walked out with Laura. I heaved a sigh of relief when they left. Is this for real but why do i feel this not right at all, why do i feel she’s not genuine.
“you have to be careful Starr because i promise myself if that witch of a woman touched you again i will kill her,” Kendrick said angrily.
“i will be much careful now, i just hope she has learnt her lesson and will change for good,”.
▪▪Kate’s POV▪▪
I walked out sadly with Laura behind me.
“you don’t have to worry mom! you can use the house i rented for you for now because i will soon get a new and better place for you to live there. I’ve started working. Starr helped me got a good job,” she beamed with smiled.
“thank you Laura, you are the only one who loved me now. Your dad was right because he so much hate me now and he don’t even believe me. I wasn’t part of your life for the past fifteens years but now i promise to make it up to you,” i said.
“thank you mom. I told you Starr is a good sister and dad have always been there for me, i just hope you really mean all those words you said to her so that everyone can at least learn to trust you again,” she said while i nodded. My eyes were filled with tears as i remembered how cold Arnold was towards me, i felt so angry, so much hatred towards him. And as for the Starr she’ll soon get what she really deserves because i will still blame her for what happen to me. I miss out for good fifteens years in my daughter’s life because of her. Everything was going quiet normal until she came and ruined everything. I won’t stopped until i silently kill her again and i will make sure i have my daughter back to me. Laura need to be on my side so i can achieve all this..
