“Starr,” Kendrick called then ran to catch up with me.
“what did you mean by no? are you rejecting my proposal, after all these years,” he said holding my hand.
“look Kendrick, you just surprise me by what you did! i feel you’re just trying to rush things because of your jealousy. I guess this not the right time to accept your proposal but if you’re in your right state of mind then you can ask me that,” i said trying to free my hand from his grip.
“am not letting you go just like that Starr, am sorry but i don’t want to lose you, i thought you’ll understand me by now. Even if no one understand why am doing this you of people should understand,” he said while i slowly raise my head and stare at him.
“i love you so much, isn’t that enough. Let just wait for the right time, okay…”
“right time! then when is the right time? i love you Starr and i think everything moment with you is the right time to act, aren’t we matured enough to start our own family or are you thinking about poor i am, maybe you think i just couldn’t make up to your demands,” he said sadly letting go of my hand as he start to walk away.
“no Kendrick, don’t ever think of that,” i said then walked fast-er and hug-ged him from behind.
“i love you so much and i promise you am yours but just give me time,” i said sadly.
“i will wait but i hope it won’t take long? he asked while i nodded.
“am sorry if i ruin your evening, can we go now? he asked.
“where exactly? i asked with a smile.
“somewhere you’ll like,” he said then clasped our hands together as we walked out.

▪▪I and Kendrick sat down opposite to each other at the restaurant, we were done eating and Kendrick suggest he takes me to the park to catch much fun but i declined.
“you don’t have to spent much on me like this,”
“of course i have to, you deserves something more than this,” he smiled.
“Kendrick i don’t want you to feel bad or think i reject your proposal.. am just…
“it okay! i understand and i won’t rush you again,” he cut me off.
“just know that i love you so much and even i myself can’t wait to start a family with you but there’s more to all this, i just want us to make the right decision and at the right time, please don’t get angry about that..
“am not angry, am just feeling stupid for doing that! but i still don’t know why i have this feeling you’ll one leave me- alone and heart broken,” he said while i frown hearing that from him.
“you can’t blame me for feeling that way, it a feeling and i stopped it. Please Starr i will go insane if you ever leave me,” he said while i reached out to hold his two hands.
“you always taught me to think positive and here you are always thinking negative. Please Ken you don’t have to think that way… because am not gonna leave you. Am am just hoping for the best for both of us, maybe i might find my real parents and you might also find your twin brother,”
i smiled.
“sure, but it a long time now and it only dad am looking up to now, i don’t even think Fredrick still exist or haven’t you forgot what Maria once told us, he might be death or adopted,”
“then you should hoped he’s adopted maybe their’s still a chance to see him again,” i said while he shrugged.
“one thing i learn in this life is not to have high hope on something,” he said sadly
“well, i think am starting to regain back my old memories,” i said while he looked at me surprise.
“what!
“yes.. but i can’t really understand anything. It so crazy that after all this years i can’t remember anything. I mean why can’t i remember who really i am, i don’t even know my birthday or my real age but dad said i might be at the age of nine to eleven when he found me, i should at least remember something,” i said so bitterly feeling so frustrated why my own situation have to be this difficult.
“but can’t you at least remember a thing? Kendrick asked.
“i guess i once had a happy family like I’ve always told you i seems to be from a rich family because anytime a memory flashed i only get to see myself in a big mansion with my siblings or maybe my friends, i see faces i can’t fathom,” i said while Kendrick smiled making me wonder why he was smiling.
“if only you were with your real family i know you’ll have a good life more than this,” he said while i rolled my eyes.
“and why are you even saying that! What i can’t really understand is why am being shoot that night when Mr.Arnold found me, someone tried to kill me,”
“you said you always have a feeling you’re from a wealthy family and you know how those rich people are. Who knows if it your mom mistress that did that or someone close to your family,” he said while nodded.
“i don’t know, just stop imaging such things now i want to know about my real identity am so curious, so desperate to know where i came from, who truly i am?
“and i’ll be right by your side to help you, we’ll get throu-ghthis Starr,” he smile.
“thank you, thank you so much Kendrick for all your love,” I said. I remembered what Laura told me, she’s right because her mom will be out of jail sooner than we all expect and now am feeling scared all of a sudden, i also feel guilty.
“what’s up with you again, you don’t look happy? he asked.
“sure.. it about mother,” i stated.. why am i even calling her mother, someone who hate me that much to the extent she want to kill me.
“which mother?
“Mrs. Kate, Laura is still getting in touch with her and she visited her some few days back, she said she regretted what she did to me and want to make it up to me,” i said..
“oh come on, did you think i will ever believe that woman, she’s so evil and i won’t allow her to ever set her eyes on you,” Kendrick said a little bit angry.
“i know and she’s not gonna stay with us once she’s out of prison but Ken i just feel guilty, if i haven’t come to there lives all this wouldn’t have happen,”
“it not your fault because if that wicked person haven’t tried to kill you, i know for sure you’ll still be with your parents and nothing of this will ever happen. That woman makes my blood boil! i so much hate her and i swear on my life if she ever did anything bad to you again i will stabbed her just the way she did to you and remember it wasn’t your only case that took her to prison she once killed someone, she has a bad criminal record and have paid for her sins,” he said.
“i just hope she have changed for good, i sometimes feel so sad for dad because he’s a good man and deserves the best wife but Kate is just the opposite,”
“we’ll get throu-ghthis Starr and i promise to protect you all the way,” he said while i smiled.
The rest of the day was fun having Kendrick by my side..?
▪Erica’s POV▪▪
I kept walking to and for, so frustrated by what Sarah told me that Edward reopen the case of Princess and this time they’re willing to find her, i wonder if its her ghost they want to see because Princess is death already but why do i have a feeling something bad will gonna happen soon, all my nightmares portrays that Princess might still be alive. I quickly dialed Max number.
“hello,” he said into the phone.
“Max, how about the job i once asked you to do,” i said.
“which of the work? he asked.
“about killing Princess? are you really sure you killed her? i asked.
“such a silly question Ma’am, i shoot her and she lost so much blood that evening. She’s death already and am sure of it,” he said while i felt so relief then laughed.
“okay then, i hope you’ll still keep this a secret,” i said.
“a secret? Sarah asked as she walked in, i was shocked to see her, i quickly cut off the call.
“what’s secret mother? i asked.
“hummm..nothing! i just want to surprise you, it a surprise and i can’t tell you,” i smiled.
“what surprise? she asked.
“hmm.. your birthday is coming up soon,”
“you’re so funny mom, i thought you’ve never care about my birthdays i mean ever since i was a kid you hardly find me for me talk more of celebrating my birthday, unlike Princess back then she use to have the best of everything and i use to feel so jealous of her but then everything changed when i get to know her better and when she saved my life by denoting a kidney for me,” she said while i nodded with a smile.
“anyway thanks a lot mother for the surprise, i can’t wait to see it. I just forget something and i came back to pick it,” she said then walked out while i heaved a sighed of relief, i almost got caught. I don’t know why Sarah can’t seems to forget about that stupid girl princess. I know Sarah will never forgive me if she ever finds out am responsible for what happen to Princess.
▪▪Sarah’s POV▪▪
I know something was off, i know mom is keeping a secret from me and i have to find out what exactly she’s hiding. After work i went back home on time and it a good thing mom was sleeping already! that’s when i got the chance to picked up her phone then go throu-ghher contact list. I saw her last call which was from her manager at work. I sighed in frustration as i strolled down and saw *MAX* I checked the time which was 8:24am, it was definitely him, i knew this could be the guy she was talking to in the morning, i quickly sent him a message throu-ghher phone which reads: Max it urgent we need tomorrow by 4pm at Cory restaurant,*. After the message was sent i quickly deleted it then copied his number on my phone.
▪▪Greg’s POV▪▪
I was about going to the next ward when i saw Starr with Kendrick, they looked so happy and i stopped and admire how they are so much in love with each other.
“just take care, am coming to pick you later,” Kendrick said then peck her before leaving. She smiled, that’s reminds me of the question she asked the other day. Seems she has a lot to me tell me but seems so nervous.

I was damn tired and i was about going back home when i bumped into someone at the door, making the few files i was holding to flew in direction..
“what the heck is this! i yelled while the nurse quickly gathered back the files and arranged them in order.
“am sorry Sir..,” a familiar voice apologies while i raise my head and was surprise to see Starr.
“what are you doing over here? i asked then collect the files from her.
“to get some files Sir, am sorry,” she apologies- i smiled when i remembered how we first meet and how she was being too rude or maybe i was the one so rude.
“You wanted to ask me something the other day, sorry i got busy,” i said.
“huh.. sure but it nothing important.. just forget it,” she said in a rushed as she turn to leave but i called her back, i was surprise by what her saw on her neck- the necklace.
“how did you get this? i asked curiously as i moved closer to her then held the Necklace- wasn’t this the necklace Sarah told me about.. it belong to Princess but we can’t actually say it Princess own because lots of people can own this.
“uhmmm… it was given to me by my dad,” she said, looking surprise as well…
▪Sarah’s POV▪▪
Now am so curious, i was already at the restaurant and i called the guy- Max.
“where are you? i asked so impatient.
“am already here and who are you? he asked. I looked around then saw a man answering a call i quickly hanged up while he also hanged up and put his phone back in his pocket which make me think he might be the Max, he so huge, ugly and looks kinda old.
“are you Max? i asked when i walked up to him.
“so it you, Mrs. Erica’s daughter,” he grinned showing his ugly yellow teeth. I wonder how he get to know me because this the first time am seeing him.
“i need you to tell me something,” i said while he nodded.
“what’s secret are you two keeping with my mom or are you one of her ugly boyfriends? i asked angrily while he laughed.
“you’re so rude just like your mother,”
“just tell me what secret you guys are hiding? i asked while he chuckle.
“haven’t you know it already?
“just answer me and stop answering my question with another question,” i snapped.
“uhmm, it a secret and it not meant for people like you, i mean you’re her daughter she should tell you that herself,” he smirked.
“i know but just tell me please i just want to hear it from your mouth,” i said in a pleading tone.
“it just so simple, only i and Erica know about this and i don’t she want you to know that,” he said while i sighed.
“am okay with that because am also like my mom. Do you think i will let her suffer or expose her for all the wrongs she did. She’s my own mother for crying out loud. i just want to know why she’s keeping it a secret from me, just tell me please,” i said.
“well she ordered me to have Princess Raddison killed a longed time ago, during her tenth birthday,” he smirk while i stood so shocked.. so mom was behind this…
“did you killed her for real? i found myself asking him.
“sure i did and she’s death for good, i guess it better you guys stop looking for her because i did my job well,” he said while i was more shocked, my eyes were filled with tears already.. ??
