Starr, Laura and Kendrick played at the park were Arnold took them to, they had so much fun and looked so happy.
“Sarah… not this way but the other way round,” a little girl said smiling while Starr stood speechless and stared at the kids playing, what actually got her attention was the name the little girl mentioned; which was Sarah.
“why does it sound so familiar to me,” she said trying to recall something but couldn’t.
“hey Starr, what are you staring at? Kendrick asked.
“oh! nothing, is just that whenever i hear the name Sarah, it always got my attention, it could be someone from my past because the name sound so familiar but i can’t recall anything, i can’t even remember a thing about my past maybe i don’t really have a family,” she said sadly while Kendrick patted her back.
“everything will gonna be fine, you’ll find your family soon and i hope i also get to find my twin brother sooner, let just enjoy the moment,” Kendrick said with a smile while Starr nodded absently minded.

▪▪▪Sarah felt so sad seeing her mother cry. She has never seen Erica cried like this before.
“mom…can you just stop crying or else i will call dad to come over,” Sarah pouts.
“am just so sad because my wedding with Leon is cancelled. Sarah i love Leon so much and i thought he was the right man for me after Edward rejected me, i thought Leon was that true love i have been looking for but he duped me, all he wanted was the money and now he left saying he’s no longer interested in me. I gave him my everything, money, body, love and all he ever asked for!, Erica said in tears while Sarah hug-ged her, trying to hold back her tears.
“it okay mommy, please stop crying,” Sarah patted while Erica’s phone rang, it was her dad calling.
“hello dad,” Erica said slowly when she picked up.
“you bitc-h, you better fixed what that good for nothing finance of yours did. How can he duped you, that a whole sum of money, it so huge and this might affect the company. How could you trust such animal like him,” he yelled.
“i know that, i will fix that myself,” Erica said.
“you better do. I told you several times to focus on Sarah and forget about men. Love isn’t for you Erica, i don’t think any man will ever love you for real,” her father said then cut off the call angrily. Erica cried the more hearing that from her father.
<> Erica recalled the harsh words her father said.
“even when no one loves you mom, always know that your Sarah loves you so much, i love you mom,” Sarah said in a cracking voice.
“it okay Sarah, thank you anyway! i need to talk to Leon by any means i hope he pick my calls,” Erica said as she stood up and walked to the balcony, she tried calling Leon, hoping he would at least picked up her call.
“Leon.. Leo….n please talk to me,” Erica said rushing her words, she was surprise he picked up the call.
“where are you now? just give me back my money or i will have you arrested,” Erica yelled into the phone.
“that will never happen. I don’t love you anymore Erica, everything that happen between us was in the past,” he said.
“but Leon, how could you do this to me, i thought you love me,” Erica said sobbing silently.
“that serves you right Erica and don’t ever think of hunting me down or else i will kill you myself and mind you i also know your every secret and how you had Edward’s daughter killed. So i guess we should both keep quiet to maintain peace,” Leon said angrily then hanged up.
“Let see who will regret this,” Erica grinned evilly as she wiped her tears, she quickly dialed a number.
“hello..” she said into the phone.
“i need you to do something for me,” she said with a smirk.
Erica felt so bitter, because she was greatly preparing for her wedding but Leon turn her down just to disgrace her, she decided to cover up for herself by saying she choose to called off the wedding with Leon. When the news reached Edward he felt so sad for Erica and wonder why it still have to end that way.

?Erica smiled when she sat down opposite to Edward at the restaurant, she felt a little bit relief to see him there, at least he’s concern about her, she thought.
“what really happen? today suppose to be your wedding… i mean why on earth will you decide to end everything. All i ever wanted is for you to be happy and have your own family Erica,” Edward said calmly while Erica replied with a weak smile.
“my dad was mad at me, he said love wasn’t for people like us. Edward now i know no one will ever loved me, no one loves me, no one want to love me for me,” she sniffed, trying to hold back her tears.
“don’t say that Erica… i guess when the right time comes, your own true love will showed up,”
“true love! does true love even exist?… i mean, when will the right time comes. Am not getting any younger Edward, am thirty three…,” she stated bitterly.
“but you’re still young and fresh.. you look too young and no one will even thought you have a daughter who is ten years. Just wait for the right time,” Edward said with a smile while Erica nodded.
“the point is that Leon duped me, he ran away with my money. I wasn’t smart enough to realize Leon was just fooling me, i was just so stupid,” Erica said sadly.
“that was so bad. Am willing to help Erica, don’t hesitate to call me when you need my help i sometimes feel so guilty. We’ve been childhood friends, you were my best friend then, even when we were in college, we use to be close and…
“yea and when Mabel showed up from nowhere everything was ruined, you were so crazy about her that you had to stop loving me, i was badly hurt because i so much loved you Edward, ever since we were kids. But it okay.. i und-erstand you and i respect your decision,” Erica quickly said then stood up.
“i have to go now,” she muttered slowly.
“so soon? he asked while she nodded then quickly walked out. Edward was speechless as he watch her leave, he felt so pity for her but he somehow feel maybe she’s paying for the pain she once cause him and Mabel for coming into their lives uninvited and for creating so much misund-erstanding back then.

?Sarah felt so lonely in her room, she checked the time and notice it was 9pm, yet she couldn’t sleep and she still have school to attend tomorrow, suddenly she had a loud scream and she quickly jumped out of her bed.
“Sarah.. Sarah,” Erica walked to her room looking so messed up.
“mother.. were you the one screaming? Sarah asked.
“yes… i had a terrible nightmare.. i was in so much pains. I was tied down with a chain by the a little girl.. by.. P…,” Erica wanted to say by “princess” but she kept mute, she don’t want Sarah to suspect anything.
“i will just sleep in your room today” Erica said.
“sorry about the nightmare, nothing will happen mom,” Sarah said while Erica nodded staring into space, her eyes meet the huge picture of Princess on Sarah’s table.
“what are you doing with this, haven’t i told you to avoid someone’s picture who’s is death. Princess is long gone because it been a year now! why can’t you forget about her? Erica asked.
“i can’t mother. She’s part of my life, remember i still have her kidney with me,” Sarah said while Erica rolled her eyes.
“and so what? i don’t want to see her picture anywhere here, if you like you can keep it in a box or your wardrobe or anything else but not on the table beside your bed,” Erica scolded.
“but why mom?
“because i don’t like it, just forget about Princess,”
“i miss her so much mom. Whoever took my sister away will surely pay for that, that person will never know peace in his or her entire life. Ever since Princess went missing my life has been so difficult, it just so difficult without having a sibling, i miss my sister so much,” Sarah said in tears while Erica stood up feeling so guilty with what Sarah said.
“but you have Greg and also Mable’s adopted son.. that’s Tony right?.. you have them with you around,” Erica said slowly.
“sure but no one can replace Princess, she’s just that one special person in my heart who knows me too well. I will never forgive that person who took her away from us,” Sarah said angrily while Erica stare at her little daughter she seem so angry. She quietly went downstairs to the sitting room. Sarah words were not helping and she don’t want to feel guilty for anything. Suddenly her phone rang and it was a new number calling..
“hello..” she said into the phone.
“you witch i know you’re still awake,” a voice fired at her while she looked at the wall clock, it was 9:30pm already.
“who this? she asked.
“Edward told me everything and how your prince charming Leon duped you, am glad someone outsmarted you and i hope you are now feeling the pains of losing someone you love,” the voice said again while Erica scoffed, she knew it was Amelia.

“yes am the one Erica, i couldn’t sleep and i thought of calling you to tell you my mind. You think you can get away when you’ve killed Princess. You ruined my son’s life and his wife by taking away their only daughter and i was so foolish to have allow that, but mark my words Erica no one will ever loved you, you will only be used and dumped like a garbage that you are, you will die of guilt. You think you will just get married and have a happy life with your daughter while you killed Princess… that girl is just too small and innocent..” Amelia said bitterly.
“she just have to pay for her parents crimes,” Erica said with a smirk.
“what Crimes.. because Edward couldn’t love you in return? Karma is real Erica,” Amelia said mockingly while Erica felt so much anger boiling in her heart.
“enough of this Amelia, don’t ever call me to remind me of my past. I hate you all and i will bring you down one after the other and mind you am starting with your son- Edward,” Erica smiled then hanged up without waiting to hear what Amelia have to say again. She angrily threw her phone on the floor and wept so bitterly, she felt so angry with everyone.
“it all your fault Edward, you started this and mind you, you still have to finish what you start. No one plays with fire and go Scot free is either you get burn or you die for real just like Princess… i will kill anyone who get on my way including you Leon.. i will kill you because you deserve to die,” Erica said to herself she as she kept crying.
?Starr sat down next to Laura who looked so sad.
“hey… aren’t you going to school? she asked.
“i don’t want to.. since dad refuse to take me to my mom,” Laura said sadly.
“you want to see your mom? Starr asked.
“sure.. i miss her so much. I know she’s bad, i know she’s not a good mother but i still love her that way and you why?- because she’s my mother. I know you will never feel that way because you don’t have a family,” Laura said a little bit angry.
“of course i do have family and that’s you and dad. Your dad is a good man, can’t you see how he’s trying ha-rd to provide for us, he even enrolled us in a school so we could learn,” Starr said while Laura stood up.
“yes, my papa is always the best but i still want my mother too, am sure she have learnt her mistakes. Please Starr help me plead with papa so i can at least visit her.. please,” Laura pleaded while Starr smiled.
“okay then.. i will talk to dad,” Starr replied and Laura hug-ged her.
“am still sorry for what my mom did to you,” Laura apologies.
“it nothing.. am okay now,” Starr smiled. “just that the scars are still there,” she said then raise her top while Laura gasped seeing the ugly scars.
“this from the stab i got from your mother,” Starr said pointing at it.
“and this one was from the gun shoot, i know nothing about it but your dad said i was shot and lose so much blood when he found me, i sometimes wonder why i have to keep surviving all this,”
“and what’a this? Laura asked pointing at the other scar below her abdomen.
“this small scar? Starr asked while Laura nodded.
“i don’t know where i got it from, maybe i was born that way,” Starr replied.
“born this way, i don’t think so maybe this was from your past. Am just wondering who your real parents and how could they be so careless to allow their daughter suffer this way,” Laura said bitterly.
“that what i still don’t und-erstand but what bothers me the more is that, why can’t i remember a thing, just a little thing. I want to recall something from the past even if it for a minute.. i just want to know what happen to me, do i have a family somewhere? an enemy who want me dead? is there someone missing me? is there someone who loved me? Who are my friends? am just confuse because i have so many questions which no one has the answers to.. am just a kid, i can’t possibly have enemies.. right?
“too bad Starr but i have an idea,” Laura said while Starr stares at her closely…?
