After dialing his number,he picked it up at the first ring and I couldn’t wait to break the news to him.
“Hello sir”I greeted beaming with smiles.
“Morning”He replied simply.
“I gave him the first dose of the poison”
“Really?”He asked and I could feel his face brighten up.
“Yes sir”
“I hope you didn’t give him heavy dosage,it’s very dangerous”
“No sir,I acted according to your rules”
“Okay then,try to pour it in his good at last twice a week so it will kill him slowly”
“Okay sir,I will act according to your orders”
“Alright then”He relief and I hung up immediately.

Getting to the kitchen,I started preparing breakfast and about thirty minutes later,I’m done cooking.
I carried it to his room and after ushering me in,I dropped it on the table and left there after.

“About Lucian”He replied and I snapped my f!nger at the lady,she stood up from my l@ps and I also stand to my feet waiting curiously for his answer.
“We found out that he has a new acquired slave and treated the lady specially,I think there’s a strong connection between him and the lady,she might be of use to us”
“Okay then,try to gather information about the lady,I’ll message you later”

I keep scrolling up and down on my phone staring at Mariam pictures,the old ones and the unaware pictures I do take anytime she’s around me.
Why can’t I just get my mind off this lady?

Although I hurt her but I have been trying to forget her for the past five years which is impossible for me.
I couldn’t help it,I just keep thinking about her.
I wish I could turn back the hands of time and amend things the way it should be,but it’s impossible.

Becky collected the brief case from me and we both walk into the company.
Things have been moving so well for me for the past two weeks,my companies have realised more profits than ever before which made me so busy, attending business p@rties,signing if do¢v-ments and business meetings.
“Sir,there are two p@rties which is very compulsory for you to attend tonight because it’s p@rt of sealing the agreement between us and the two companies”Becky said immediately I sat on my chair and I sighed.
“What do we do then?”
“I think you should attend one while Sir Daniel and Mariam help you to attend the other”
“Okay,get re-ady for our p@rty and out a call throu-gh Daniel and Mariam for theirs”
“Okay sir”She said happily and walk out of the room.

“I’ll come to visit him mom,plea-se just spend me money wisely,I transfered all the money into my account to you alre-ady”
“Okay dear,I’ll try but plea-se come to visit him,I can’t do this alone,he nee-ds his mom and D ….”
“Okay mom,bye”I said cutting her off and hung up on the call immediately.
I hate it when mom try to bring up the annoying t©pic about Daniel.
He doesn’t deserve to be called a father.
I’ll never forgive him for what he have done to me.

I dropped the phone on the table but not long after,it rang again.
I gro-an ed and pick it from the be-d but surprisingly,it was Becky.
Why’s she calling me?

“Hello”She greeted and I scoff.
“What did you want?”I asked ignoring her greetings and she chuckled.
“At least,try to be respectful once”
“I’m going to cut the call now if you didn’t state the reasons why you’re calling me”I threatened and she laughed.
“Cut it dear,then you will have to explain to Boss if I report you to him that you didn’t carry out his orders”
“plea-se just say what you want to say”I said calming down a little.
“The boss said you should get re-ady for a p@rty tonight,you’re repres£nting him along side with Daniel”
“What!”I scoffed.
“plea-se tell me you’re joking?”I said trying not to believe it and she laughed.
“Amd why will I have to joke with you?”She said mockingly and cut the call.

I and Daniel Is gonna attend a p@rty?

I watch her from the small hole in the kitchen as she drop the small plate of rice on the cabinet.
Perfect!
She later went to get a bottle of water and start eating.
I entered the room clearing my throat and she look up at me.
“Hi”She greeted standing up from the chairs and I nodded.
“Is there anything I can do for you?”She asked and I laughed.
“Amd someb©dy is getting scared of me”I said mockingly and she sighed.
“Well,one of Lucian guards is in the living room now waiting for you,he said Lucian has a message to pas-s across to you,maybe you should go see him now”
“Okay thanks”She nodded and walk out of the room slowly leaving the food behind.
Good riddance!
I ti-ptoe to the plate and quic-kly sprinkle some into her food and rush out of the kitchen using the other door.

Lily Pov
I walk to the living room but I was quite surprised that there’s no guard waiting for me there.
What?
Is she trying to pl@yon me or what?
I didn’t find any guard there,the whole place is empty.
I shook my head and walk back to the kitchen but was surprised that she’s not there anymore.
This girl is something else.
Can’t believe she fooled me for nothing.
I walk back to where I dropped my food and pick it,I scoop some rice into the spoon and place it one myl-ips.
I spit it out in disgust and grumbled.
I can’t believe the food is cold alre-ady.
But I just left here minutes ago?
Why would the food be this cold?
I stomp my foot angrily to my room and I met Mariam eating.
I giggle happily and rush to her place,I snatch the spoon from her and start eating.
“Hey,it’s my food,go take yours”She said trying to collect the food back and I grumbled.
“Can you believe Bethany fooled me that Lucian s£nt a guard to me that he’s waiting for me in the living room,I met no one there,that girl is just a psycho”I said taking a bite from the meat and she laughed.
“Really?,And you fell for it?”
“Yes,you know I wouldn’t like to face Lucian wrath,he can be overly angry sometimes”
” Okay”She nodded and continue watch me eat the food.
“Don’t you think I’m eating too much these days,I don’t want to be fat”
“I think you’re eating too much these days”She said mockingly and I sniffed.
“So that means I’m a glutton?”I said close to tears and she stuttered.
“No, I didn’t mean to……I’m sorry”She stuttered and I bur-st into tears.

I shut down the computer and coll@pse on the chair tiredly.
“Damn!”I gro-an ed straightening my n£¢k.
I have been on the computer since three hours ago without standing up.
I’ve been so busy these days attending many business meetings for my companies and also attend some on behalf of Lucian.
He also have been very busy these days.
I pack the l@pt©p and phones inside my suitcase and my as-sistant help me carry it out of the office to my car.
I nee-d to get home to prepare for the p@rty I and Mariam is to attend.
She dropped it inside the car and left afterwards,I was about to step into the car but a familiar voice st©pped me.
“Daniel”The voice yelled and I turned back,my mouth gaped at shock when I realized it was Stephanie.
My mind boiled in anger and I tried entering my car trying not to attend to her but she’s close to me alre-ady.
“What did you want Stephanie”I said taking a quic-k glance around her b©dy,she wore a moderate yellow go-wn and high heels,she haven’t changed a bit,just that she has gain more weight.
“I don’t want anything from you,I just want to apologize for what I’ve done”
“And how did you want me to forgive you Stephanie,Is it for ruining the relationsh!pbetween I and Mariam?,Or for being a bad friend?,Or for….”
“I’m sorry”She cut me off in tears and I scoffed.
“My mind hasn’t been in peace since I drug you that night,I knew I offended Mariam,not even when she told me the day before we had S-x that she’s pregnant but she’s scared to break the news to you,my heart was more heavier when I watched her carry the baby in poverty,I couldn’t have a peaceful sleep anymore,I searched everywhere to look for you but I couldn’t see you,I’m sorry”

“Yes,she even had a baby,she really suffered Daniel,when she had the baby,I couldn’t help because she didn’t want to see me,she had to work in the hospital for whole three months because she wasn’t able to pay her hospital bills,her mom couldn’t help either,she sle-pt in the cold because of the baby Daniel,she……”
“St©p”I yelled almost close to tears and she sniffed.
“I don’t know what I should do to you because you’ve been a wicked friend,but I swear to God Stephanie,If Mariam didn’t forgive me or let me see my child,I’ll kill you with my ba-re hands”I threatened and entered my car and drove out of the compound in anger.

Lily help me apply a moderate make up on my face and pick a dangling earrings on the table,she fix it on my ears and beamed in satisfaction.
“Now,you’re good to go”She said smiling and I check the mirror.
I g@sp in surprise as I look so beautiful with my big h!ps threatening to bulge out of the dress,I place my hand on my h!ps and twirl around.
She really did a good job in dressing me up.
“Thanks Lily”I said smiling and she nodded.
“You’re welcome”She smiled and gave me my purse,I flung it on my shoulder and walk elegantly out of the room.
