★Ella’s Pov★

With that thought I quickly pulled away from Ryder, breaking off the ki-ss. I can’t believe I actually ki-ssed another guy when I know fully well that I have a boyfriend that I so much….like.

Ryder gave me a weird look. I’m quite sure he was shock over my reaction. I mean, he had asked for my permission to ki-ss me and I had said yes. Gosh, I’m so confuse.

“Um…” I cleared my throat as I adjusted away from him and fix my gla-sses well. “I…um, let’s go home.” I said, getting up to my feet.

“Are you okay?” Ryder asked now getting up to his feet as well.

“i..me? Well, yeah. Do…do I look like someone who isn’t?” I stuttered in my words. I don’t know… I’m just kind of nervous now.

I felt a pang of guilt just thinking about Owens. How would I feel if i caught him ki-ssing another girl? Of course I would be very mad and heartbroken. But right now reverse is the case, I had ki-ssed another guy but the good news here is that Owens didn’t see me.

“Actually, yeah. I hope…”

“No. I’m fine. I’m really fine. I think you are fine as well, right?” I stated cutting him off from whatever he was going to say.

“Yeah.. I’m fine. All thanks to you.” He said still staring at with the look that says; ‘you aren’t crazy, right?’

I inwardly rolled my eyes as I getting walking. Ryder came up beside me and we both started walking away, side by side.

Ryder suddenly stopped dead on his track and that scared the crap out of me. I turned to him.

“Are you alright?” I asked.

He sighed as he dipped his hands into his pocket and took out his pack of cigarettes. Wait, don’t tell me he was going to smoke again. What happened to, ‘You are my cigarette.’ I mean, I am not dangerous compare to this pack of cigarettes.

“I should better let go now.” That was his next word and he made his way to the ocean. I ran after him.

“What are you going to do?” I had to ask.

He shrugged as we stood in front of the waters and stared down at the pack of cigarettes. “Letting go.” And with that he threw the pack into the ocean.

“Did you_”

He smiled as he turned to me. “Let go? Well, yeah. Besides, I have a new cigarette now. A better one at that.” He sighed as he turned to the waters again. “I think this is for the best.”

I smiled at the wonderful thing he had just done. I was happy that he was willing to let go. Yeah, he was right. It was for the best. For his best.

I started clapping. “Wow. Kudos to you. This is a great step of becoming someone better. But…one more thing, reduce the number of girls you bring into that apartment.”

He smirked as he stuffed his hands into his pocket. “I’m not promising you that. But, I will stop bringing them in, under one condition,” He turned to me now. “You do what they do.”

“You didn’t just say that.” I gasped. He started laughing. “Listen, there is no way you are getting close to me or my body.” I said for the umpteenth times.

“You said that word for the umpteenth time.” Oh, I wasn’t the only one counting.

“That’s to tell you how serious I am about it.”

“Fine. Like I had said challenge accepted.” He winked. I laughed and playfully hit him on his ch-est.

Well, maybe I shouldn’t feel that bad about ki-ssing him. He was just my friend. He needed me. He needed my comfort and friends provide each other with that. That ki-ss was just to comfort him and it meant absolutely nothing to the both of us. I guess.

But why did my heart skip when he had ki-ssed me? I shook my head pushing that thought aside. I shouldn’t be thinking about this. Maybe it was just shock or something. Right?

“Let’s go home.” I now said.

He nodded his head as he let out a de-ep breath. “Yeah. Let’s go, cigarette.” He said walking away.

“What? Cigarette? Isn’t four eyes enough of you?” I asked as I walked beside him throwing him a glare.

“I choose to call you what ever I choose to.”

“You are an idiot.” I said.

He stopped again and turned to me, pulling out his fist for bump. “Congratulations on becoming my cigarette.”

“what? Is that something that needs a fist bump? And besides, I had said that earlier ago so, why are you congratulating me now?”

He shrugged. “Don’t know. But hey, are you going to bump my fist or leave me hanging here?”

I sighed before bumping my fist to his. “We are getting so use to this fist bump of a thing.”

“I know right?” He chuckles. “Let’s go home, four eyes. I’m hungry.”

“Yeah. Yeah. But hope you know you are the one cooking tonight?”

“What? How is that even possible? It’s not we had shared the days of cooking or something.” He pointed out.

“Yup. But we just started tonight. And congratulations, you will go first. So… fighting!” I said, laughing.

****

I gro-aned as I opened my eyes over the music playing from my phone which signifies that someone was calling me.

I rubbed my eyes, still feeling sleepy and grabbed my phone from the table at my bedside and answered the call without staring at the caller ID.

“Hello? Who is this?” I asked.

I heard a light chuckle that made my heart skipped a bit. “Are you still asleep?” He asked me.

A smile made its way to my li-ps. Hearing his voice like this made me happy. “Yeah. I slept really late last night.” I said, sincerely.

“Why?” He asked.

“My roomie and I were both arguing on who to cook. Jeez, it was kind of hilarious.” I said absentmindedly.

(A roomie that you ki-ssed at the beach. Kudos to you.) My subconscious said. I chose to ignore it. I can’t be feeling guilty over nothing.

No, I’m feeling so guilty right now.

“Oh. That sounds fun. So…how is today going to be?” He asked.

“I don’t know. Fun? I guess.”

He laughs softly over the line and said. “Yeah, babe. Fun. Whoa, I’m really happy. It still feels like a dream knowing fully well that you are my girlfriend.”

I blus-hed over those words. He didn’t call me beautiful. He didn’t flirt with me. He didn’t say he wish to spend the rest of his life with me. He only called me his girlfriend and that was enough for me.

“Me neither.”

“We don’t have any clas-sthis morning, right?”

“um…yeah? Why?”

“I was thinking….how about we hang out.”

I almost screamed my lungs out due to excitement but I controlled myself but kept smiling. “Like a date?”

“Yeah. Not a friendship date. But a date as my girlfriend. What do you say?”

“I say…yes. What time?”

“Seven sharp.”

“Okay! See you by then.”

“Yup. Bye.” I said bye to him also before we both hung the call up.

Yes! yes! Yes! I started jumping like a crazy girl and was rocking my hips as I danced over to an imaginary music. I was happy, okay?

My phone started ringing again. I stared at the caller ID, it was a call from Jasper.

Wait, why was Jasper calling? TBC.

A/N: I don’t know…but I think Owens and Ella’s love kind of look interesting. Who is with me??

Question: Why do you think Jasper is calling? Comment!
