Amy POV
I walked into cla-ss only to find Amber on my desk
“Amber get up” I said to her furiously
“First come first served” she replied
“This is my desk and you know I sit here everyday” I retorted
“Well I didn’t see any human being when I came in” she said twirling her hair
“Shut up” I said pulling her by her hair She held my hair and pulled it just then Owen said
“If you want to sit here that much here have my seat it’s yours” he said and walked out of the cla-ss
Then me and Amber glared at each other and reluctantly sat down
Courtney POV
They called all the music program students for an announcement
The head of the theatre arts ? ? program came up to the stage and said
“As you all know Our annual school play is coming up by December and auditions were held yesterday for the cast of the play ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ if your name is called please take your respective places as your respective characters as rehearsals begin immediately ”
He called some names until we got to the main lead characters
“For Demetrius and also Lysander’s un-derstudy we have Michael Thompson ”
“For Lysander we have Owen Crossley”
“Helena and Hermia un-derstudy is Amber Monet”
“What that’s impossible I’m supposed to be Hermia not Helena or Hermia un-derstudy” Amber half yelled
“Well Hermia is Courtney Harper” he replied
“What that can’t be” she said angrily
“You have to accept the fact that you’re not good enough” he said calmly
“That’s…”
“Moving on our opening act will be a duet from Andrew and Ava” he said cutting her short
“Lastly The special stage audition winner is Amy Bluea”
“As you all know rehearsals start immediately our extras from the music program and volunteers from the regular program will be helping as stage hands on the rest of you are dismissed ”
“I can’t believe I got the role of Hermia” I said to Clary excitedly
“Have you seen the death glares from Amber” she replied chuckling
“Gather around”he said and handed the script to us
“We’re going to be adapting both the modern and ancient themes well more of the ancient version but few modern concepts will be added so read throu-ghyour scripts, master the lines and get ready for the play” he added
I was reading throu-ghthe script when the principal called for me
“Miss Harper your sponsor for the scholarship will be at the play watching so do you best to keep it and meet the requirements for the scholarship”
“Yes sir”
“You may go” he said
“Thank you sir” I said as I rose up to go out
Immediately I entered the rehearsal room Clary rushed towards me
“Have you read this scene it’s all everyone is talking about ” she said
“What scene” I replied curiously
“The scene where Hermia has to kis-s Lysander and if Hermia is you and Owen is Lysander it automatically means…”
“I have to kis-s Owen Crossley” I yelled out without even noticing
Both Amber and Amy gave me death glares and I rolled my eyes and went to meet the head of theatre arts
“ Sir can I please get a recast like Helena Titania hippolyta or someone else” I said
“You want to quit the character Hermia” he replied
“Kind of”
“Well all characters already have un-derstudies so if you leave the casting will change and every un-derstudy will fill in Amber will fill In for Hermia and Everyone else the only cast available will be let check um a tree” he said
“A tree” I replied
“Yes a tree in the woods ” he said
“But how is my sponsor going to notice me ” I said frustrated
“I don’t know so you still wanna drop the cast” he replied
“Don’t worry thanks for your time” I said and left
Andrew and Ava went outside the drama room they were both in singing so I think they went to practice
Some minutes later Amy Left too to practice
I excused myself and dialed Chloe’s number

I went to the studio the singing club studio was already occu-pied by Andrew and Ava
I was rehearsing my song I wanted to sing takeaway by Chainsmokers and Lennon Stella
I started and when I was in the middle of the song

“Why are you here” I said
“Um I kinda volunteered to help with the play ” he replied
“The play is clearly not in here as you can see it’s my rehearsals space so make like a ru-bber tree and bounce” I retorted
“I know but I just heard you singing and I had to stop” he said

“I’m Sebastian Russo”
“I don’t mean who are you I mean who a..r..e y..o..u”
“ I don’t un-derstand”
“ like this my name is Amy Bluea I’m the leader of the A BBYs well former my dad is a busy business man with a chain of furniture companies around the world and my mom is a business woman and I’m a model” I said

“I can’t believe they just randomly grouped us together” he said

“Ava we’re here for practice can stop being all ugh ” he said
“What do you mean” I replied
“Whatever you think I don’t care we’ll rehearse tomorrow I have better things to do than sit around and watch you try to …” he retorted but I stopped him
“Andrew stop this attitude you just always push people away” I said
“And who’s the cause of that you Know her more than I do ” he said and left
