Chapter 43
(Heart break)
Harley was quite surprise to see many grown ups at the amusement park. Her initial thoughts is that it is only children that do cone to the amusement park.
Her parents are business people. As their only child, she was trained to handle her parents company.
As a child, Harley couldn’t even do what children should do.
During school hours, all she do is to study and on weekends she will attend business dinner and banquet with her parents.
She couldn’t do what girls her age should do. Going on picnics with friends, camping, trips, shopping, going to amusements parks and sleep over.
Harley looked like a kid that was given a candy.
“Believe me, I used to think amusements parks are meant for kids”, She told Harry.
Harry was a typical extrovert. He loved to have fun and he knows all fun places that ladies like after all, he used to be a player. He would rather travel around than sit in a office all day but people from their circle couldn’t even make simple decisions like that. There are a lot of things their parents will dictate for them especially the heir.
” Well, you’re wrong “, he replied.
” Trust me, you will have fun. I know all the rides you will enjoy”, Harry added.
Harley smiled. She was excited. Somehow, she is usually relaxed whenever she is with Harry.
“Forget about work and let’s have total fun”, Harry told her.
” Okay. I will listen to you”, Harley said.
Harry smiled.
Harry was pa-nting when they came out from the haunted house. Harley mocked him.
“You’re such a coward”
He smiled.
“You’re one to talk. I’ve you forgotten how scared you’re of the rides. Even kids will not shout like that on a ferris wheel”, Harry teased.
Harley rolled her eyes.
” That’s because it’s my first time”, she said.
Harry just smiled.
“Are you hungry?”, Harry asked.
” Do you want to try street food? “,he asked again.
“Street food? Isn’t it unhealthy?”, Harley asked.
“There is nothing wrong with eating it once in a while. Trust me, It is usually good”, Harry told her.
” Well, I don’t think eating it once in a while is wrong too”, Harley said.
“After all, there are people who eat it everyday of their life and still live long”, She added.
Harry smiled.
” Yes. That’s the spirit”, he said.
Guy downed the alcohol in one shot again. He is drunk but he is still drinking.
He can’t believe he lost Dorris to another man. He liked Dorris since he met her at that particular audition and some how, they became partners.
He liked her more every minute he spends with her and when they became members of the same band he was very happy. He thought he would be closer to her and win her heart. Who knew he will never be able to confess perfectly or be rejected normally.
Dorris is the first woman he had a crush on. Guy is handsome and very manly unlike toby who can pas-s for a gigolo, a pretty boy. Ladies usually ask him out and they usually se-duce him at any opportunity they have but he always rejected them coldly.
Who knows the first woman he will like will not even be interested in him not to talk of seducing him.
Guy knew one thing for sure
He will not be able to stay in the same band with Dorris anymore.
Recalling the scene when Ray took Dorris away, he downed more liquor.
Alcohol is the best pill for heart break.

(I guess Ray Dalton is not bad)
I’ve fulfilled my promise. For those that wished me, thank you. You guys made my day. Good night)
Dorris decided to talk to Ashley that morning. They’ve decided to meet in a cafe near Ashley work place.
Dorris is dressed in a top and jeans. They had to pick a less crowded cafe because of Dorris. Though she is not so popular, at least she is still known in the locality.
Dorris us nervous. She didn’t want to go to Ray’s parents again. Not after what they did the last time. But she had to. Ray wanted her to and she thinks it is for the best. She decided to tell Ashley everything. She nee-ded someone to talk to.
“Hi Ash”, she greeted Ashley who just entered the Cafe.
” Hey babe”, Ashley greeted.
Ashley sat down and asked
“Why do you want to see me early in the morning?”, She asked calling on the waiter.
” Americano”, She ordered.
“Just wanted to talk to you”, Dorris replied.
” So you no longer want to talk to me?”, Ashley asked.
“I still want to, Ash”
Ashley noticed she is kinda dull. She is not usually like this. Dorris face is always smiling. That is the kind of person Dorris is.
“What happened?”, Ashley asked as the waiter served the coffee.
” I’m married”, Dorris blurted.
Ashley almost choked on her coffee.
“You said?”, Ashley asked.
” I’m sorry for not telling you but we wanted to keep it from everyone. Our parents are not even aware. But I wanted to talk to you.”, Dorris explained.
Ashley could not explain how she feels. All the explanation all fell on deaf ear. The only thing she wanted to know right now is who her husband is.
“My friend, Just answer this question. Who is the groom?”, Ashley asked.
“Who else? Murray of course”, Dorris replied.
” My God. Since when are you guys married?”, Ashley asked.
Dorris sigh.
“A day after my birthday”, Dorris replied.
” Wow. Congratulations! I have to prepare to be a god mother”, Ashley teased.
“What God mother? “, Dorris asked hissing. “We are not ready for a child. You know my profession will mot allow me”, Dorris added.
Ashley frowned.
” I thought you said you’re retiring immediately you get married ?”, Ashley asked.
“I did not plan to get married this early but since I’ve found the man I want, I don’t want to let him go.”, Dorris explained.
Ashley sigh.
” Do you mean your husband is allowing you to stay at the dorm?”, Ashley asked.
“No. He bought a pent house for me”, Dorris said.
Ashley almost squealed.
” A pent house? I want to visit your place! My God, You should have invited me for house warming. ”
When Dorris remembered the house warming issue, she blus-hed.
She remembered vividly that they warmed the house with love making. She recollect that her husband made love to her in every corner of the house.
Her cheeks turned pink.
“Why are you blus-hing? I mention house warming. I didn’t ask you about your s-× life with your husband.”, Ashley said bluntly.
Dorris blus-hed ha-rder. Is she suppose to tell her friend that her husband use s-× to warm the house?
Ashley shook her head.
” I guess Ray Dalton is not bad on bed. See the way you’re blus-hing just because you’re remembering things. Kudos to your husband”, Ashley teased.
“Ashley stop. We didn’t have a housewarming. Please don’t mention all this to any one. Murray wants to keep it a secret”, Dorris explained.
” Okay”, Ashley said.
“So what do you want to talk about?”, Ashley asked.

Dorris sigh.
“Actually, Murray parents wanted him to get married to someone else but he didn’t want to. That’s actually why we got married early and secretly.”, She started.
” You mean your in laws are the kind of rich people that valued family background? They will only allow their son to marry from their upper clas-s circle.”, Ashley asked.
“Exactly. They want him to marry a business partner daughter”, Dorris responded.
” My God! Parents being against marriage is not good. What are you guys planning to do?”, Ashley asked.
Dorris wished she knew what to do. Meeting Ray’s parents had triggered the fear in her. She knew that if she had met his parents before getting married to Ray, she won’t marry him. She was afraid for her own peace of mind and for her family. What if they hurt her family members? She knew how extreme the rich could go. After all, It’s always showing on television.
Dorris confidence in her marriage wavered. She wondered if she was wrong to go against Ray parents. She wondered if she was wrong to marry someone just like that? She wondered if their love will win this up coming battle.
Dorris is afraid and confused.
She don’t know what to do. Family is Important and Ray is part of her family now so she couldn’t leave Ray. She wanted to protect her family__Including Ray.
She wondered if she can do it.
She hoped she can. She hoped to win this.
“I don’t even know. His parents sent for me and I went to their house alone without telling Ray.” Dorris continued, “They haras-sed me. They ask me to leave their son alone. They said to leave Ray or my family will be in trouble. What do I do now?”, Dorris asked her friend.
Ashley sigh.
“I don’t know my friend. “, Ashley replied.
” Am I suppose to divorce my husband?”, Dorris asked.
“Did they know you guys are married?”, Ashley queried.
” No. I didn’t tell them. I think Ray had a reason for asking me to keep it a secret. At their place, I stood up to them and I added that I’m not going to leave their son. Now, My confidence wavered”, Dorris Replied.
“Why?”, Ashley asked her friend.
” Murray said we are going to their place tonight”, Dorris said.
“You told Ray what they did to you?”, Ashley asked.
” No, I didn’t. His mother even slapped me. I’m I suppose to tell Murray? I’m sure he is going to settle the scores with his parent but I’m afraid to be the cause of quarrels between parents and child”,
Ashley sigh. She un-derstand what Dorris is saying but she still think Dorris should have explained to her husband.
“You don’t want to go?”, Ashley asked.
” My husband wants us to go. I think he wanted to introduce me to them. Even his fiancée is disturbing me. I think she likes Murray….”
“Every women love Ray”, Ashley puts in.
” Should we beat the bitc-h?”, Ashley asked again.
“She is a rich heiress. She is pretty and sophisticated. I’m jealous of her”, Dorris stated.
Ashley sigh.
” Don’t worry. In as much Ray chose you, you still have the highest chance of winning. Be bold and face this. You have to fight for your love”, Ashley said.
“Thanks”, Dorris muttered.
” I’m going back to work, babe”, Ashley said and stood up drinking the coffee.
“Okay. Thanks”, Dorris said.
” Dorris, fighting”, Ashley told Dorris and walked out of the Cafe while Dorris watched her retreating back.
