(It’s for us now)
Guy entered the MD office. He met Ray Dalton in the office.
He knew the MD had probably informed him.
“Have a sit”, Dorothy said.
” Thanks”, Guy said.
“As you know that the rays is this agency major band, I have to handle it meticulously. The moment you told me you want to leave the band, I have to inform the CEO. Is there any reason why you want to leave the band?”, Dorothy asked.
” Personal reasons”, Guy replied.
“So did you have plans?”, Dorothy asked.
” I want to be a solo singer”, Guy replied.
“Then the agency will sign you”, Ray puts in.
Both Dorothy and Guy turned to look at him.
” Forget about the penalty”, Ray added.
Dorothy and Guy were dumb folded again. Ray knows what he is doing. This Guy liked his woman so he can not bear to see both of them in the same band. It’s all for the best.
“Disband the Rays and groom the three of them as solo artiste”, Ray told the MD.
Dorothy was short if words.
Ray added.
” Hold a press conference and inform them that the rays is getting disbanded and the artistes are debuting as solo artistes. We are going to hold an audition. We nee-d a new band”
Dorothy nodded.
“Yes Sir. Will you be around during the conference? I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to stand the reporters questions. The public will even be more interested if you are around”, she told him.
Ray smiled.
“Then I will be around”, he said and stood up. “I have work to do at the office”, he said and walk out.
Guy was amazed at how quickly Ray solved this problem. He had thought that Ray entertainment will ask him to pay a compensation for breeching the contract. And that he will have to sign with another company as a solo artiste. Who knew everything will be solved so easily? Ray Dalton is indeed capable. Maybe he is the right choice for Dorris.
Dorris took a de-ep breath as she opened her wardrobe. She didn’t even know what to wear but she did know that she wants to look clas-sic and elegant like a rich lady will probably look like when visiting In laws.
She heard the door open.
She knew who it is.
” Wifey, are you home?”, Ray asked as he entered the house.
“I’m in the bed room”, Dorris replied.
Ray entered the bed room. He saw all the clothes scattered on the floor.
” What are you doing?”, he asked her.
“I’m looking for a perfect dress to match the occasion”, Dorris replied.
Ray looked at the mess of cloth and sigh.
” Have this”, he said handing her a shopping bag.
Dorris looked at the bag and collected it. She peeped into it.
“A dress?”, she asked.
Ray nods.
” Yeah. I hope you like it”, he said.
Dorris bring out the cloth. She examined it. Exactly what she wanted.
A blue shinning dress. It’s clas-sic and elegant. Just what she wanted.
“I love it!”, she told him.
Ray sneered.
” you can easily say you love a cloth but not me”, he said.
Dorris pouted her li-ps.
“You have so many dresses like this at home”, he told her.
” Home?”, she asked.
“The mansion. Our mansion where I stay. You have to visit that place one of this days. You have to design it to your taste too.”, Ray told her.
” You have a mansion?”, she asked me.
Ray hu-gged her.
“It’s for us now”, he told her.
” quickly get dress or we will be late”, he told her.

Dorris took a de-ep breath in.
Ray could sense her nervousness. He sque-ezed her hand as if telling her that it is okay.
Dorris still hadn’t inform Ray that she’s been here before. They entered the house and the butler announced Ray’s arrival.
Mrs Dalton was smiling but immediately she saw Dorris, She frowned.
“What are you doing here again. Didn’t I slap you well the other day?”, she asked Dorris.
Dorris smiled.
” Hello Auntie and uncle”, she greeted.
Ray was fuming. So his parents had invited Dorris over? His mum really slapped her. He remembered that night. His mom was actually the culprit that hit his wife?
“Mum, you slapped Dorris? I’ve not even introduced her to you. How dare you invite her over and bully her?”, he asked his mother.
” I invited her”, Ray father said.
“You came to the house and didn’t even greet your parents. What kind of son are you? So what if we invited her. What’s her family background that she can not be bullied? What will happen if she was bully? She will sue us? She should go ahead. I will let her spend some money.”, Mr Dalton said.
Dorris clenched her fist. How dare this man insult her like this?
Ava entered the house and the butler announced her presence.
” Dad, don’t be like this. Dorris have me”.
Ray father snorted.
“You? Can you stand up to me?”, he asked.
” No matter what, I’m still your father. You will not go against me because of a vixen. A wench with no family background. She is just a gold digger”, Mr Dalton said.
On the other side, Mrs Dalton had hu-gged and welcome Ava.
Ray clenched his fist after hearing his father words. He wanted to take Dorris and walk out of that house and never to come back but hd is not done yet. He managed to keep his cool and sque-ezed Dorris hand.
“Hi uncle”, Ava greeted Ray father sweetly.
The man smiled.
” How are you, Darling?”, he asked.
“I’m fine”, Ava replied.
” Auntie, I bought some supplements for you. They are all imported. Trust me, it’s very good.”, Ava added, playing good daughter- in- law.
“Thanks so much my dear”, Mrs Dalton said.
Ava waved her hand.
” It’s nothing”
Then she turned to Ray.
“Hi”, she said curtly.
” This is?”, she asked looking at Dorris.
Ray smi-rked. Is this bitc-h pretending now.
Ray knew all of Ava skill. She is trying to pretend she didn’t know Dorris so that his parents will be able to take her side and as-sure her that they will do anything possible to make her the young madam of the Dalton family.
He wondered if she is just thick- skinned or she is really shameless. The man you wants to marry did not want you and you’re trying your best to please his parents. Are they the one you want to marry or the man himself. He wondered who put that idea in her head. It’s probably because his parents keep on as-suring.
Ray felt irritated by Ava’s behavior. Everything she is doing now looked disgusting to him. He wondered what man will find her attrac-tive if she keep behaving this way.
Dorris smiled too when Ava asked the question. How dare this woman pretend not to know her. She decided to play along too. She was about to speak when Ray spoke.

(Do you want to be my mistress?)
“Meet Dorris, my wife”
Everywhere went silent for a while. Not only Ava and Ray parents are surprised, even Dorris, the butler and the servants around were dumb folded.
It was after a few minutes that Mr Dalton recovered from his shock.
“Your wife? Ray, this woman can only be a fling not your wife”, the man told his son.
Ray smi-rked.
” Really?”, he asked.
“Yes, your father is right”, his mother added.
Ray made a sad face.
” What to do? “, he asked.
Then added.
” We are already married legally”,
Mrs Dalton widen her eyes.
“Murray! How dare you? You got married without my approval? Are you going rebellious?”, Mr Dalton asked.
” Ray, you used to be an obedient boy. Is this vixen teaching you to go against your own parents?”, She asked.
“Don’t call my wife a vixen”, He told Mrs Dalton.
Even Ava couldn’t believe her ears. He actually got married without informing his parent. Ray did not look like a son that will do that. She must have probably un-derestimated Dorris.
That wench is actually capable than she thought.
Mr Dalton is short of word. His son actually registered his marriage without telling them. He was very pissed.
” You are a bastard, Ray”, The man blurted. No wonder the vixen was so br@ved the other day. It’s because she is married to Ray. She probably thought nothing will stop her.
Mr Dalton was even more determined to get rid of Dorris.
“Ray, whether you like it or not you will end up with Ava”, Mrs Dalton said. She is angry too. Her once filial son is now doing things without her approval and she blamed everything om Dorris
Ray smiled. He knew Dorris will be surprised but he did it for her sake.
” Will she like to be a mistress?”, he asked.
Ava grind on her teeth.
‘How dare this bastard mock her like this?’
Mr and Mrs Dalton were angry too.
Ray turned to Ava ignoring the ugly expressions on their faces.
“Say, do you want to be my mistress?”, he asked her.
” Don’t worry, my wife would know. If she knew, she wouldn’t mind. She can just slap you and pour hot water on you”, Ray mocked.
Ava face turned uglier with her veins popping out. She was so embarras-sed.
She managed to control her temper.
“Don’t worry, I will wait”, she said.
Ray raise his brows.
Ava smiled and added.
” I will wait for both of you to divorce. It is not as if your relationship could last. You guys are not compatible at all so it is only normal to separate later. You will soon get tired of each other. It is just a short time affection”, Ava said smiling.
Ray was infuriated by Ava words but Dorris sque-ezed his hands.
“Miss Ava words will only strengthen our relationship. Miss Ava will have to wait forever if she insisted on waiting”, Dorris said.
Ava felt insulted again.
” Do you think so? That I will have to wait forever to get what I want?”, Ava asked.
“Here I think that I’m more capable”, Ava added.
Dorris smile again.
” I’m afraid your capability will be useless here. This is not something you can solve with money or power. It is the matters of the heart.”, Dorris said.
Ava scoffed.
“We shall see”, She said, smiling.
Dorris gave a brighter smile.
” All the best”, Dorris said.
