Chapter 35
(A woman’s stomach is the way to her heart)
Dorris is busy with her phone. Ray came out from the room.
“Let’s go and eat or are you not hungry?”, He asked.
” I’m so lazy. I don’t want to go out. And I’m afraid of your fans too”, Dorris said.”We will have to put on disguise and I don’t want to go throu-ghall that stress.”, Dorris said.
“Let’s order take out then”, Ray said.
Dorris felt bad.
She wished she knows how to cook. She made up her mind to learn how to cook. She will have to pester Ashley. She had to learn how to cook now that she’s married. This is all her dad’s fault. He won’t allow her to cook! Or was it her own fault? She hated going into the kitchen and Douglas always do the dishes after collecting money from her. Clearly, It’s no one fault but hers.
‘It’s not my fault’, she as-sured her self.
Ray is having his own thought.
He had decided to learn how to cook and cook in Dorris stead. He would have to bother Miss Preya a lot. He will learn how to do things his wife can not do. ‘Food is a way to a woman’s heart’, he declared.
Ava was restless. She had sent several messages to him but he blocked her number. How dare him? How can he do this to her. Is he thinking she will really not tell his dad? He should know better.
The more Ray rejected her, the more she wants him. She is not going to loose to a girl with a lowly background. In terms of look, isn’t she better than that wench? What is it that Dorris had that she did not have? She even have more than she could offer.
Is Ray dumb or what? She can’t believe he would really choose that vixen over her. She had thought that his feelings for the wench will fade soon and he will get back to his senses, who knew he will keep on falling de-eper for that wench.
It is time to deal with that bitc-h. It’s time to see who has the upper hand? It is time to show Ray the mean things she knew how to do to get what she wants. She had to shake him so much that he will learn to fear and respect her. That way this kind of nonsense will not happen again in the future.
Ray decided to go home today. He sent a message to Dorris that he is not coming over to her place that night. She whined and he just gave her excuses.
He entered the house.
“I’m home”, he said.
Miss Preya smiled.
” Where have you been sleeping all this days? I called the butler back at the main house and he said you never went home”, Miss preya asked concerned.
“Missy, I’m fine”, Ray said.
” I want to learn how to cook”, Ray blurted.
Miss Preya thought something is wrong with her hearing.
“Pardon?”,
” I said I want to learn how to cook from you. Let’s start with simple dishes….”
“Young master, is there a reason why you want to learn how to cook?”, she asked.
“I suddenly heard that saying: A woman’s stomach is the fastest way to her heart”, Ray said.
Miss Preya raised her brows.
” I think something is wrong with that. Isn’t it A man stomach is the fastest way to his heart?”, she asked.
Ray smiled.
“I think it is applicable to both genders”, He said.
” If you want to know it badly, I will teach you. Shall we start with making noodles? Tomorrow morning we will learn how to make toasts”, Miss Preya said.
“Yes. Let’s me go and change”, Ray said.
Dorris is now good at driving. She had gotten her driving license. She decided to take her car to the agency that day. She had decided to ignore whatever people might say. When Dorris Drove into the agency that morning, everyone around stop to take a look at the flashy vehicle. They waited to see the owner. Dorris opener the door. Pick her bag and got down of the car. The people around wowed.
” Isn’t that a member of the Rays?”, a trainee asked her friend.
“She is the one”
“She’s gotten herself a sugar daddy”, another trainee said.
” All that matters is that he is willing ti spend on her”
Some female managers around shook their head.
“It’s a pity”, one of them said.
” what? “, the other one asked staring at Dorris as she gave the car key to the valet so that he will pack it in the un-derground garage.
” She had been tainted by the entertainment industry ”
“How do you know that? You shouldn’t jump into conclusions”
The other one sneered.
“Isn’t it obvious? He bought her such an expensive sport car”
“How do you know it’s a man that bought it for her. Are you un-derestimating her capability without….”. The other woman scoffed and cut in.
” It is so obvious. She can never use her own money to buy something so expensive.”
Dorris greeted her manager and band members. She greeted her as-sistant too.
“Let’s go out for dinner today after work. It’s my treat”__Dorris sent to the group that includes Ashley, Douglas and herself.
“Why are you suddenly treating is to a meal?”__Douglas asked.
” I have something to celebr@te”_Dorris sent back.
“Then I will pick the perfect place for the dinner. You better be ready to spend money”,___Ashley
” Yes. You should pick the venue. Your choice is the best”__Douglas
“But I’m paying”__Dorris
” I will send the address. Let me quickly do some browsing. I will make reservations for us. Don’t be late!”,__Ashley.
“Ok. You have to pick a five star restaurant”__Douglas
” Trust me”__Ashley.
Dorris raise her brow.
What is this feeling she is having?
“Dorris”, Guy called.
She gave him a smile.
” yes?”, she asked.
“Do you have time tonight?”, he asked her.
“Oh! What to do? I have a prior appointment. Can you let’s just go out on sunday? I will have plenty of time”, Dorris asked him, pleadingly.
” Ok then”, Guy said smiling.
“I’m really sorry”, Dorris said.
” It’s fine!”, Guy told her.

( I’m going to be a mean sister in law)
Dorris asked her Ashley and Douglas to wait outside the restaurant in case they arrived before her.
“Why did she asked us to wait outside? It’s cold”, Douglas said.
” You have to behave when Dorris arrived. She must not suspect us”, Ashley told him.
“Don’t worry. I’m a good actor”, Douglas told her.
Ashley rolled her eyes. Obviously, she is not satisfied.
” Ashley,tomorrow is Christmas. Where do you want to go?”, he asked.
“I’m going to church”, Ashley replied.
” Ash, C’mon. I mean after church”, he told her.
“You better not call me my name when Dorris is around.”, Ashley told him.
” What then should I call you?”, he asked.”I’m never going to call you sister”, Douglas said.
“Your sister will get suspicious!”, Ashley yelled.
” Like I care”, Douglas muttered un-der his breathe but Ashley heard any way.
“You rascal! Do you want to die?”, she asked him.
She was about to hit him when a car flashed his light on them. They both use their palm to cover their face from the Rays of light.
Dorris smiled when she saw them. She came out of the car.
” Hi guys”, she called.
“Wow! Such a beautiful ride? Is this the taxi on trend this days?”, Ashley asked.
Douglas recognized the car immediately. After all, he is a car lover.
” What are you talking about?”, he asked Ashley.
“This is a f*¢king Lamborghini”, Douglas added.
” Guys, this my car! Do you like it?”, Dorris asked.
“Why will you rent such an expensive car. It is not as if it is your wedding. What if you scratch it, you will pay fir it for years”, Douglas told her.
Dorris rolled her eyes.
” You guys are mistaken. This is my Car. Murray got it for me”, Dorris said.
“What the f*¢k! You mean Ray got thus car for you?”, he asked again.
” Yes. It’s my birthday gift”, Dorris said.
She gave the key to the valet so that he will pack it well.
“Let’s go in”, she told the dumb folded guys.
They sat down in their private room.
” I don’t know Ray is so serious about you”, Douglas stated.
“Why will he not be serious with her. My friend is too good for him”, Ashley said.
Dorris wondered what they will say if she told them she is married to him. She decided to keep that to herself for now.
” Sis”, Douglas called.
“Bro”
Douglas cleared his throat.
“Sis”, he called again.
” What? “, Dorris asked.
Ashley scoffed.
She knew what he want to ask from Dorris.
” Why not go straight to the point? Should I help you?”, she asked him.
Douglas pouted.
“He probably wants to drive your car”, Ashley said.
” Okay. I will let you drive it if you will promise to treat it well. It’s a gift from my lover and I cherished it”, Dorris said.
“I promise. I love you sis. You are the best sister in the whole world. You’re a sister like no other”, Douglas showered Dorris with praises.
Ashley shook her head.
” So shameless”, she muttered.
Their food was served and they started eating.
“Their food is so good”, Ashley commented.
” What do you expect from a five star restaurant?”, Douglas asked.
“Ash, I have a favour to ask of you”, Dorris said.
” What is it?”, Ashley asked.
“I want to learn how to cook”, Dorris stated.
Douglas scoffed.
” Why? Your boyfriend wants you to cook for him?”, he asked.
“I just want to know how to Cook”, Dorris answered.
” Enroll yourself in a cooking clas-s. I can’t help you”, Ashley told her.
“Don’t you think you are mean?”, Dorris asked.
” I know”, Ashley said.
“C’mon, Ash”, Dorris said acting cute.
” I can’t teach you. You might infuriate me to death”, Ashley insists.
Dorris is not giving up.
“I will be a good student, master”, Dorris said.
Ashley smiled.
Douglas sneered.
” You better don’t agree to teach her. She can never learn and she will just make you a frustrated teacher”, Douglas told Ashley.
Dorris swatted his hand.
“Do not mind this immature little rascal. I will be a good girl”, Dorris said.
“I’m not immature”, Douglas yelled.
” You’re being immature right now!”, Dorris told him.
“I’m a big boy Dorris. I’m not that immature little boy you used to know. I even had a girlfriend now!”
Ashley spits out the water she was drinking.
“What? You had a girlfriend?”, Dorris asked.
” That’s nice. When will you introduce her to me? Is she still in college or an highschool girl? I’m very sure she is young and pretty “, Dorris said.
Ashley starts hiccu-ping.
” I’m going to be a mean sister in law though. It’s not easy training you into a man”, Dorris added.
“Excuse me. I nee-d to use the rest room”, Ashley said and rushed out.
Douglas sighed.
” Let me meet her someday. I will tell you whenever I’m free.”, Dorris said.
“Yeah yeah yeah”, Douglas responded.
Ray was pacing the room.
Today is Christmas for goodness sake. How can she go out? She should know better than this. She is suppose to spend the christmas with her husband.
She finally picked his call.
By the time he he dropped the call, the temperature in the room dropped too as his face darkened.
His wife is eating dinner with another man on christmas and he is here lonely. What a mean woman?
And the guy had to be that guy he saw as a rival. That guy in her band that use to look at her as if she is the air he is breathing.
Ray was restless. If she is with some other guy maybe he wouldn’t mind but this guy have feelings for her. He trusted his wife but he can not bring himself to trust that guy. He liked Dorris and he is with her right now. He can not sit still. He have to do something. He did not know why he is feeling so insecure when Dorris is already married to him. But he just can’t stand another man loving his woman. He had to make things clear. He had to let his rival know who has the upper hand before it becomes too late. He had to claim his woman and tell the guy not to cause boundary. That is all he will just do. Nothing Else but that.
