(I’m going to marry her)
Harriet woke up feeling headache. She sat up on bed. She held her fore- head and look around. Strange, this is not how her room look like.
This room is definitely not hers.
She got down from the bed and walk out of the room.
She walked down the stairs.
What the hell is she doing here in a strange house.
She stopped when she saw a man in the living room drinking coffee casually.
“You are awake?”, The man asked.
” Yes. Who are you?”, she asked.
“You didn’t recollect the incidences last night?”
“I only remembered going to the rest room”
“You should recognize your benefactor you know. I brou-ght a complete stranger home and she threw up on me.”
Harriet look at what she was wearing.
She was wearing a shirt. Her cloth is gone. Only her pa-nties….. Then it hits her she is wearing his shirt with only her pa-nties un-derneath.
“Who changed my cloth? How dare you?”, She asked.
” You are stinking so I have my house keeper to change your dress to help you have a good night rest. How dare me?”, the stranger scoffed.
Harriet swallowed.
How can she drink so much last night.
She even slept at a stranger’s.
Harriet took a closer look at the man.
‘ so manly’
Gosh! Mr Samaritan is so handsome.
“You even broke my rule, you’re the first woman to sleep in my house. I should have just check you into an hotel but I don’t want to since you were not in your right senses and…”
“Do you have a girl friend?”, Harriet asked him.
” No”
Harriet asked again.
“Married?”
“Single”, the man replied again.
” Engaged?”
“I’m a bachelor”
“ga-y?”
“I’m a straight guy”
“Then why are you still single. A guy with a face like yours should not be single”
“It is none of your business”, Mr stranger snapped.
” Why? I guess this is why women won’t stay long with you…”
“Maybe you’re right. Can you leave now?”, He asked her.
“Where are my clothes?”, she asked him.
” I’m sure it is folded neatly in the room you slept.”
“Thanks”, Harriet told him.
” Gosh! I left my car at the bar yesterday. Can you call me a taxi?”, She asked him.
“Go on and get dressed. I will take you back to the bar.”
They didn’t say a word to each other. The stranger pulled over.
“We are here.”, he said.
” Thanks so much.”, she said and got off.
“I have a feeling that we will meet again. My name is Harriet.” She closed the door, turned and walk away.
The car zoomed off.
Harriet could not stop thinking about Mr manly and thinking about him allow her to forget Dwight and Ray. She had this feeling that she will meet him again.
Harriet decided that if she meets him again, she will never let him go. She is going to stick to him.
Dorris scoffed.
“Damn that director. How dare him air this scene. Did I not beg him to cut it. I even allow him to take my dance Video”, she spatted.
They are watching the reality show they just finished shooting.
” Manager Brown, can you not take reality show again?”, Toby asked.
“But reality shows will boost your popularity.”, Manager Brown said.
” Can’t we stick to adverts and commercials”, Guy asked. He was embarras-sed.The director even aired the scene where he felt pressed and had to dance while waiting for Toby to finish using the toilet.
“Go and check your popularity rate, it’s so high now”, Their manager explained to them.
” Bro Dylan, can you get my things to my room? I’m off to college”, Toby said to his as-sistant.
“Ok. I will wait for you after clas-ses”, Dylan said.
” No nee-d. I’m going on a date with someone”, Toby said and walk out.
“Date?Who?”, Guy asked after him.
Toby walked away ignoring him.
Vickey was practicing with her band and she heard him.
She found herself curious to know who Toby is dating.
Dorris was busy reading the comments online.
” Awnnn! Toby is so handsome. I want to marry him”.
“My God! The guys are hulky. I must say Dorris is lucky to be in the same band with them”
Dorris scoffed.
“How dare Dorris allow them to run errands for them. I will tear her apart”
“Seriously, this is just a reality show. That’s the concept. How can you hate someone because of that”
“I wonder o”, Dorris muttered.
” Well, Dorris is cute”
Dorris blus-hed.
“I’m the Rays fan as from today”.
” If you want to join Toby’s fan club signify”
“Toby First wife”.
” Guy first wife. ”
“Do you see Guy’s dance when he was pressed. He looked so cute”
“Dorris is too ashame to say she cannot cook and she made what? Gosh! I can’t believe women who can’t cook still exist”.
” It’s not my fault. I always have my mum to cook for me and when mum is no more available, my dad filled in for her.”, Dorris explained talking to herself.
“You shouldn’t read online comments”, Guy told her.
” I’m so pissed up. That director is so shameless and deceitful.”
“I agreed with you”, Guy told Dorris.
” Let’s go out for lunch”, He added.
“Ok. I want rice cake”.
” Okay. It’s my treat”, Guy said.
Ray could not stop laughing as he watched the show. He even asked Jerome to watch with him.
“Isn’t she cute?”, He asked.
“This isn’t cute. She is so spoilt. How can a grown up lady like her not know how to cook. It seems she is not aware that the best way to a man’s heart is his stomach. How will a man for for her when she did not even have this important skill. I wonder where this country is going. Women no longer cook but order food. I wouldn’t advice someone to marry a woman like her. I’m sure she won’t be able to do house chores. So lazy”, Jerome blabbers.
” Jerome, She is my girlfriend”, Ray stated.
“Pardon?”, Jerome asked wide-eyed.
” Is my girl friend cute?”, Ray asked.
“Of course she is”, Jerome said.
” It doesn’t matter if she can’t cook or do house chores. She already won my heart over.Even if she doesn’t know the way to my stomach, she knows the way to my heart so well that she can walk in it with her eyes closed and her senses shut. That’s how much I loved her. I’m going to get married to her_soon”, Ray said, his gaze fixed on Dorris picture on his laptop screen.

Toby got out of clas-s and before he knows it, he was surrounded by girls.
“I said it. It’s really him.”
“So he attends our school”
“Didn’t I tell you that he is my course mate?”
“Can you give me your autograph?”, one of the ladies asked.
” Will you take a pics with me handsome?”
Toby sigh. He felt lost. He doesn’t even know what to do so he started signing autograph and taking pics.
Few minutes later, Manager brown and Dylan arrived with some security men.
“Sorry girls but Toby nee-ds to be at the agency now. We are going to hold an event soon. You will be able to get The Rays autograph during the event”, Manager Brown said and Dylan led Toby away while the security men hold the fans off.
” Dylan, you should have gone to clas-s with him”, Manager Brown scolded.
“I’m sorry”, Dylan said.
” I asked him to stay behind”, Toby explained.
“Will you keep quiet? If that girl did not call us, what do you think will happen. You will be mobbed, you je-rk!”
“Who called?”, Toby asked.
” That girl_the leader of the belles”, Dylan replied.
“I will have to talk to the MD. You guys nee-d security. You shouldn’t walk around alone. It’s dangerous. Don’t forget, you nee-d to Avoid scandals as much as possible. This period is a very sen-sitive one for you”, Manager Brown said.
” Yes manager”, Toby said.
Ashley saw him waiting for her at her door step. She decided to just walk past him.
“Sister”, he called and grab her hand. It is as if he knew she will try to walk past him.
” What do you want Douglas? “, she asked.
” Why are you so tense. You won’t even talk to your friend little brother? “, Douglas asked.
” you made it awkward between us”, Ashley told him as a matter of fact.
“I’m hungry buy me dinner?”, he asked.
” No. Go home”, Ashley insisted.
Douglas scoffed.
“Ashley, Is it that you don’t like me or you just won’t date me because of my Sis?”
“Douglas, aren’t you ashame of yourself? Going around asking a lady out, unemployed. You young idiot. Just stop coming to see me or I will report to your….”
“Stop it Ashley! Now let’s be clear will you date me if I’m employed?”, He asked her.
” Go home”, She said, brushing him off.
Harry got down from his car.
Harley is standing there waiting for him, dressed in a polka dot blue and white gown.
“Sorry for keeping a girl like you waiting in this sunny weather”, he said smiling.
” You should have been here early “, She said rolling her eyes.
” I’m stuck in traffic… I’m so sorry, Miss Harley.”
“Call me Harley”, the lady said entering the car.
” of course”, Harry said.
He had been thinking of this woman all week. She is a Managing Director of one of her dad’s sub-company so she’s always busy. On Saturday she went to a club meeting and attended an event in the night.
That’s why he is meeting her this sunday”
“Where do you want to go?”, He asked her. ” Amusement park?”, he asked.
She scoffed.
“Why will I go to an amusement park when I’m not a kid?”, She asked.
Harry had done his researches before the date and he found out that ladies love going to the amusement park.
” Where will you like to go then?”, He asked her.
“Let’s go to a gallery. I’ve not been to cas-sie’s collections. Let’s go there.”, Harley said.
” of course. Why didn’t I suggest going to the gallery?”, Harry said awkwardly.
Harriet packed her car in the un-derground garage when she saw him entering a car.
She got down from her car and rushed to him.
“Hey”, She called knocking on the glas-s.
The man rolled down the glas-ses.
” What do you want?”, he asked her.
“Nothing. I saw you and wanted to say Hi.
” Oh! Is that it. You can leave now”
He told her.
“Aren’t you too mean”, she asked him.
He ignored her and try to roll the glas-s.
” can you give me a drive?”, she asked.
“You don’t even know where I’m….”.
Harriet opened the door and got in.
” Your car is cool.”
She said fitting her seat belt.
“Lady, I’m going back to the house”
” I will go with you. I don’t have anything to do anyway.”, she told him.
“I’m not joking. Get out.”, he told her.
Harriet did nit bulge.
The man sigh and ignited the car.
” Sit ti-ght”, he said and drove off in a crazy speed.
“Do you have a death wish?”, she asked him.
” Get down from my car if you like”
“I’m going no where. I’m so bored.”, she said.” I will stick to you”, She said smiling.
“You’ve gotten over your man?”, he asked her.
” Pardon?”, She did not remember telling him about any man.
“Weren’t you drinking that day because of a break up?”, he asked.
” It is because of the matters of the heart but not really a break up. You won’t un-derstand even if I explain so forget it.”, she said.
“I see”, is all he said.
Ray decided to take Dorris to the amusement park that sunday. But it was a mistake, immediately they stepped out of the car, some guys recognized them.
” Wow, it’s Ray”, One of the ladies exclaimed and call attention to them.
“Isn’t that Dorris, from The rays?”, someone else asked.
” What’s her relationship with Ray?”, another person asked.
Ray knew this will be a scandal for Dorris if reporters came and they were not able to clarify their relationship.
“Should we make our relationship public?”, he asked her.
” No. It is easier said than done”, Daisy said.
“Let’s run before a reporter arrive”, Ray said.
And he held her hand and started running.
They stopped to catch their breathe.
“Why did we run?. I think you just make things worse.”
“Don’t worry. The few people that saw us are still making as-sumptions”, he told her.
” You’re sure?”, she asked him.
“Don’t forget than I’m a pro at this.”, Ray told her.
” Let’s take a taxi back to your dorm?”, he asked her.
“You can take a taxi. I will opt for a bus. I’m going home today”, Dorris said.
” oh? Ok”
“I will wait with you till your bus arrives.”, he told her.
” suit yourself”
“Dorris, will you marry me?”, Ray asked all of a sudden.
Dorris raise her brow.
The box stopped and some pas-sengers got down. Dorris entered the bus.
” Bye Ray”, She told him.
