Violet entered the clas-sbut didn’t find Ryan. She turned and started going to his hostel since she knew he’ll be there
She had planned to come to school early that morning but somehow, she missed the first bus
She was about taking a turn when Mara appeared infront of her
” How may I help you?” She asked staring at Mara who was now glaring at her
” you shouldn’t waste your time talking to bi-tch es, just slapped her for standing on your way”.. Remy said from behind and they both turned to his direction
” Hey, how’s Ryan? Is he okay?” Violet asked, walking to him
” Tch, can’t believe you scholarship, Do I look like a keeper or a watch man?” Remy pouted, walking to Mara
” I’ve told you this numerous times and I hate repeating myself. You can try sh*t with any other students but you see her, she’s a no go area. I won’t repeat myself again..” he said sternly before turning to Violet
” Check his hostel, He should be there… ” He said and she nodded before walking out on them.
” Mara Zhang..” he laughed. “I thought you were the only Stüpid person in your family but it seems your whole family and Li Xue are all Stüpid” he said and Mara only ball her fist tightly
” If you love your life, then tell your bald head man to call off the engagement if y’all don’t wanna die of poisoning” Remy said seriously and Mara shifted back
Why were they suddenly talking about poison? Were they serious with their threats?
” You know I don’t go back on my words… I’ll make sure you see the gate to Hades on that day” he said and walk away bumping into Mara and she fell to the ground.

” Ryan.. ” Violet hug-ged him as soon as he opened the door and he reciprocate the hug
” I made you worried right?” He asked stro-king her hair gently and she nodded.
” I was so scared. Lucky charm made me knew something wasn’t right..” she said and he disengaged from the hug
” Lucky charm? What’s that?”
” Gosh, I’m glad you’re okay.. ” she said instead, hugging him again
” Did you have breakfast? Should I cook something for you?” She asked but he shooked his head in denial
” I just want to see your face, that should be enough..” he said and she smiled
” Can I?” He asked while she gave him a long stare, not understanding what he meant
” I mean this ” he said, crashing his li-ps on hers. She smiled shortly before responding to the ki-ss.
He ki-ssed her slowly and pa-ssionately, pouring his emotions into the ki-ss
” I love you Violet, you alone. Never doubt my love for you okay?” He said, caressing her cheeks and she nodded smiling broadly.

Remy walked to clas-sand waved at his friends before going to sit with them. Claire kept looking round the clas-sand coincidentally, their eyes met.
” Jeez.. ” she muttered, looking away immediately as her heart skipped beats
” Why Remy of all people? Why? ” She scolded herself.
She placed her head on her desk and started sobbing slowly. She didn’t like how her heart was messing with her
” Good morning, where’s Violet?” Yixuan asked, standing in front of Jeffrey
” I think she’s with Ryan..” he replied
” Are you alright?” Yixuan asked
” Why? ”
” I know you love her and….
” Nothing to worry about. The feelings weren’t mutual…. She has always seen me as her brother and friend and I’m very okay it now though”.. he said and Yixuan smiled
” Alright.. take care” she smiled again before walking back to her seat.
She was very happy that Jeffrey had finally let go of his feelings for Violet.
She was still smiling broadly when Mr George walked in
” Good morning young misters and miss, We received a notice that exams will commence in three days time though we don’t know the reason for the sudden rush …
‘ Wait, is Xue doing all this because of the engagement?’ Remy wondered
” Did something happen?” Reece asked after seeing his expression
” My old man wants to engage Mara with Ryan ”
” What???!!” His friends shouted at once and the whole clas-sturned to their direction
” Is anything the problem?” Mr George asked
” No Sir.. it’s nothing..” Reece laughed

? What is chairman Li planning?
” Where is Ryan? ” Mr George finally asked Remy
” Jeez, Why is everyone asking me that? Do I look like his keeper?” He grumbled
” I have no idea..” he replied
” You all need to prepare for the exam and I wish you all success..” Me George said and exited the cla-ss
” Are you serious? I don’t understand, Was your dad drunk?” Reece asked and Remy just shrugged
” I think he has lost his mind. Can’t believe Ryan even said he’ll kill him..” Remy laughed.
” Quiet people are always dangerous.. ” Justin said
” Quiet? Who? Ryan? ” He laughed again. ” Give that award to someone else please not Ryan. That dude is supposed to go be a broadcaster on a TV show or a radio station.. he talks alot accompanied with his stubbornness” Remy said
” Really? Ryan is like that?” Fargo asked while he nodded
” Y’all just haven’t seen that part of him…” He said
” If that’s the case, I’m sure he’ll find a way to stop the engagement himself.. Reece said
” Is something going on between him and Violet?” Justin asked
” Well, they’re into each other but dating each other, is what I don’t know..” Remy replied.
” I thought you liked her..” Fargo asked
” Yeah, that wîtch Bewîtched me but thank goodness I was able to deliver myself from her spell” he replied and his friends laughed
” Should we just go home? I’m kind of tired. My old man wouldn’t allow me sleep in peace..”
” Yeah, let’s go ” his friends agreed
They stood up and left the cla-ss.. Claire stare at them till they were out of sight
” fu-ck you..” she cursed, holding her chest as if to stop her heart from beating

The day went by in a blur and it was lunch time already
” Aren’t gonna eat something?” Yixuan asked, sitting Next to Jeffrey
” I’m okay.. but since you need to eat, let’s just go together then.. ” Jeffrey stood up. Yixuan smiled before Walking out of the clas-swith him

” So tell me, how are you preparing? Should we read together?” Yixuan asked, as they ate lunch
It wasn’t easy for her to make Jeffrey agree to eat with her. She had to buy him lunch and told him he couldn’t reject it or she’ll get mad.
” You can tell Violet about it.. my home is empty. Mom and dad has gone to Germany for a business trip and will be back in a month time.. We have no maids too, only my nanny and I in that boring mansion” she added, picking on her food
” Alright then, I’ll talk to Violet about it..”
” What if she choose to read with Ryan, will you still come?” She asked and Jeffrey dropped his chopsticks
” Its okay, just pretend I didn’t ask that ” she said
” You can send the address to me.. I’ll talk to Violet about it first.” Jeffrey said and she forced a smile

” Will you come over so we could read together? It’s been boring reading alone ever since you came into my life..” Ryan said sitting upright and Violet blus-hed heavily
” Uhmm, I….
” Exams are in three days time and that’s Monday..” he cut in
” Alright, I’ll come over then..” she said and he smiled
” I love you a lot Violet..” he said again
” You’ve been saying that for a while now.. is something bothering you?” She asked while he shook his head in denial.
He couldn’t tell her about the engagement cause he plans to do things his own way. To him, it was better to keep it from her
He drew her closer and pecked her li-ps
” No one is gonna replace you ” he said, making her confused.
He chuckled at her confused look before pulling her into a hug.
” Don’t think about it ” he said
” Alright, I’m hungry..” she pouted her li-ps and he ki-ss them
” Let’s order something.” he said bringing out his phone
” Why should we order something when my hands are working perfectly?” She took the phone from him as she stood up
” You wanna cook?”
” Yeah ” she replied
” You should Change into something else then ” he said
” I know right ”
” I’ll be back ”
He got into his room and got one of his shirts for her
” Here ” he gave it to her
” You should change into that since you’ll be going to work from here, you can’t have your clothes stained ” he said and she nodded, entering the bathroom
She came out seconds later
” Isn’t it too short?” She asked, with her arms spread apart but he didn’t reply. His attention was on her exposed creamy thigh
The shirt stopped just below her a-ss
” Hey ” she snapped her fingers infront of his eyes and he blinked
She chuckled softly before proceeding to kitchen while he followed behind
” Shall we begin?” She asked
Her exposed thighs were driving him crazy but being the kind of guy he was, he only stare at it, wanting to touch them but he was restraining himself.
” Yeah ” he nodded and they got to work, laughing and playing at the same time

Zhang sat restlessly on the couch.. Mara had called him telling him how Ryan and his brother had threatened to poison her if she doesn’t call off the engagement.
” Dad, it’s him I want.. do it anyhow you want I don’t care”.. Mara words rang in his ears
He brou-ght out his phone and started messaging the other shareholders who were partnering with Li Xue.
He wanted them to call off their partnership since that was the only way to make Xue tame his children

” Why aren’t you going with Violet as usual?” Yixuan asked, as she walked to parking lots with Jeffrey
” Ryan will drop her off ” Jeffrey replied
” Should I drop you off then? I can take that chance to see your home..”
” No, it’s fine, you don’t have to.. “Jeffrey replied
” But I insist..
” Fine then.. he said after a while and she smiled

” Is this your house? ” Yixuan asked as the left the car and Jeffrey nodded
” It’s beautiful..” she said, entering the house before he could even tell her good bye.
He exhaled before walking into the house too..
” You’re h.. his mom couldn’t complete her statement when she sighted Yixuan
” Good day ma’am..” Yixuan bowed and Jenny stared at her son
” She’s my course mate ” Jeffrey said
” Oh! Is that so? I just made something, come let’s eat..” she said
” I’m okay ma’am, I just came to see where he lives. I should be on my way now….
” Not yet ” Jeffrey said, pulling her to the sitting room. She just kept staring at their interlock hands

” Aren’t you going home?” Violet asked staring at Ryan.
They just got to the cafe
” I will when you’re done. I’ll just seat and wait for you..” he replied entering the shop
” You’ve been coming here often, do you plan to sed-uce my customers?” Mrs Zhan said immediately he entered
” Greetings ma’am..” he did a little bow, before walking to her direction
” She’s friendly with everyone”.. Violet smiled going to Mujin
” Your boyfriend?” Mujin asked and she nodded
” He’s handsome, Congrats..” he said with a smile which she returned. They got to work while Mrs Zhan sat discussing with Ryan

Li Xue sat on his swivel chair, his gaze on his desktop
His phone has been making sounds for a while now and he picked it up wondering why he was suddenly having so many messages all at once
His eyes wide-ned at the messages, the shareholders were all saying they wanna quit partnering with him
He didn’t believe it untill his phone rang. He picked up the call when he noticed it was the minister
? Your sons are threatening to kill my daughter during the engagement and my daughter wants your son Ryan. Just make it happen or we’re all gonna stop partnering with you… Zhang Shao said and ended the call
Xue’s grip around the phone tighten and angrily, he threw it so ha-rd against the wall that it broke into pieces.
