Ryan just stood on the spot unable to process the news
” Don’t just stand there looking like an idîót..” Remy snapped before walking into his room.
” Mom, what’s happening? All my life, you’ve both been making decisions for me and now I can’t even decide for myself?” Ryan turned to his mom
Everthing felt like a dream or was their dad drunk?
” I’m not gonna live my life like I don’t matter anymore. It’s high time you guys stay outta my business. If you don’t tell your husband to get his head together then I’m seriously going to leave this house..” he said, meaning every bit of his words
” Son..” Leyan cried
” Don’t call me that… I might as well disown you if you don’t talk sense into his head. It better be a joke or I swear, I’ll kill him, I’ll kill Li Xue ” he said seriously and walked into his room
He got in and immediately he locked the door, his head started spinning as if he was being hit with a rock.
he held his spinning head firmly as he staggered to the bed, crashing into the flower vase in his room and it shattered
” Ryan please stop.. ” Leyan banged on his door when she heard the sound
he was weeping greatly, scattering things in his room.. his headache wasn’t helping matters and to make matters worst, he started bleeding
” Arghh!!! ” He screamed when he couldn’t take the pain anymore. Blood was rushing out of his nose like a leaked pipe
” Can you keep quiet? I wanna get some sleep ” Remy appeared
” Hey, are you okay?” He knocked on the door
Ryan staggered as he tried to get to the door. His room was filled with blood already..
He grabbed the door knob, twisting it open and immediately, he lost consciousness
” Ryan…” Remy called fearfully
” Ryan…” Leyan exclaimed
Li Xue left his room to meet them when he found Ryan in his own pole of blood.
” Let’s get him to the hospital..” Leyan cried
” Did he stab himself?” Xue asked but Remy didn’t reply as he carried Ryan into his (Remy) room ignoring his mom and dad
” Stop crying he’ll be fine ” Xue said but leyan scoff loudly
” It’s all your fault, you greedy foôl ” she shouted at him
Remy cleaned the blood from his body before wearing him his clothes
He opened his door minutes later, revealing their dad and their worried mom
” How’s he? Why was he bleeding?” Leyan asked worriedly, trying to peep in but he closed his door
” I don’t know the reason for his bleeding but he’s fine now. You can take him to the hospital tomorrow ” he replied entering Ryan’s room which was now a mess
He got the mop and the started cleaning the blood on the floor and the broken glas-spieces
He was arranging the books on the table when he sighted a flashdrive.
” What’s this?” He wondered, picking it up
He inse-rted it into Ryan’s laptop and numerous videos appeared
” He watch movies? ” He raised a brow, clic-king on one of the videos
It was a video of Ryan singing for him ( Remy ) on his eleventh birthday
” He still has this? ”
A single tear left his eyes as the video played. The smile on their faces back then could melt any heart..
He smiled shortly before turning off the laptop. His eyes landed on the very first gift he gave Ryan. It was a silver watch..
” He has this too ?” He muttered and his eyes also met with a shoe Li Shu had bought for them both.
” Even this? It’s not even his size anymore…
” I don’t even know where I kept mine..” he muttered dropping them.
” Stop making me feel guilty for hating you..” he muttered again and left Ryan’s room after he was done cleaning.
He met his mom sitting on the floor in front of Ryan’s room
” Get something to eat already, like I said he’s fine ” he said
” Your brother.. you don’t hate him anymore right? He has really been sad..” Leyan said
” That’s my personal issue with him, stop getting worked up over it ” he said and entered the guest room
Leyan didn’t bother to leave the cold floor as she wept

” What’s with his phone? ” Violet sighed as she kept trying Ryan’s number but it kept saying it was switched off
” He ran out of battery?” She wondered, sitting on her bed.
She paced around her small room and her eyes landed on her drawer, she walked to it and opened it. She brou-ght out the dollar note before sitting on her bed again
” Is he okay? ” She asked, staring at the money.
” Did something happen?” She asked again and the money fell from her hand suddenly
She stared at the dollar note which was now lying on the floor
” Did something really happen to him? ” she asked picking up the money.
She checked her time and discovered it was very late already
” I’ll have to go to school early tomorrow to check on him..” she said keeping the money…
” I hope you’re okay Ryan..” she muttered

∆∆ UNKNOWN LOCATION
” Li Xue accepted the offer to allow the kids get married?” The lady asked and the boys nodded
” He’s as greedy as ever, I guess he accepted because he didn’t want Shao to go.. he wants his partnership..” she laughed
” I don’t even understand him. He is more wealthy than Zhang Shao then why? Oh poor Ryan..” she laughed again and sobered up almost immediately
” His family issues isn’t my business though…” the lady muttered again drinking from her glas-sof wine
” You all can go, I will just spend the night here.. ” she told her boys and they nodded before walking out of the mansion.

Remy hissed loudly, leaving the guest room. His brother was unconscious so his mind wasn’t at rest
He took the stairs leading to his room. His mom was sleeping on the couch in the sitting room but He just ignored her presence and entered his room
He sat on his bed and touched Ryan’s forehead to see if he had fever but he didn’t
” I was worried for nothing..”
He stood up and turn to leave when Ryan grabbed his hands..
” I didn’t mean it.. can you stop hating me please..” he said with his eyes shut.
” Tell me that when you’re awake..” Remy removed his hands gently before heading back to the guest room

∆∆ Next morning
Ryan stretched his body as he woke up.
” My room.. doesn’t look like this..” he muttered, looking around the room
” Why am I in Remy’s room?” He wondered, stepping out of bed
” I even have his clothes on ” He touched his body, walking to the mirror
” He considers me his brother? F*ck, I look even more dashing this morning” He smiled, staring at his reflection in the mirror
” You’re still this childish? Tch” Remy scoffed, leaning on the door
” You’re here ” Ryan immediately faced his direction, he smiled slightly and made to walk towards Remy
” Just stay there.. don’t come any closer to me…
” Wait, what am I even saying… You can leave my room now” Remy said, walking into his room fully.
” Thanks for taking care of me ”
” Whatever, You should go to the hospital for a medical check up.. you don’t look fine..” Remy said.
Ryan couldn’t hold it anymore as he engulfed him into a hug
” What are you doing..?” Remy asked not hugging him back
” Thanks for caring for me.. ” he smiled. Remy’s hands moved up like he wanted to hug him back but he quickly push him off
” Don’t try this next time, boys don’t hug… now leave my room..” Remy said, pushing him towards the door
Ryan chuckled before walking out of the room
” Did he just chuckle? Who told him I was playing with him? He’s still very dumb as always ” he smiled, walking into the bathroom

Ryan left his room heading to the dining table where he met Remy already seated. His stood on the stairs, staring at him
” You can just stand there and watch me eat since you don’t want to” Remy said not looking at him.
Ryan smiled, walking to him. he settled down next to Remy and started eating.. he was still eating when Xue descended the stairs. At first, he thought it was his mom but immediately he knew it was his dad instead, he lost appetite.
” How are you feeling?” Xue asked while Remy scoff lowly
” As if he cares..” he scoffed again as he ate..
Ryan just stood up and left the house, ignoring his dad
” Ryan!! “.. Xue yelled but he gave deaf ears till he got into his car and left the compound
” That’s it baby brother, that’s what I’m talking about ” Remy smiled, standing up
” I hope you have a good day at work chairman Li..” he bowed dramatically before leaving the house too
” What just happened? Did he just ignore me?” Xue asked not wanting to believe Ryan walked out on him despite calling him back
” Your son Ryan, is he trying to disrespect me now?” Xue asked when he sighted leyan, descending the stairs
” Please spare me the unnecessary talk” Leyan replied and with that, she left his presence.

∆∆ EVERGREEN COLLEGE
Mara walked to entered the clas-sand her li-ps curved into a smile when she sighted him
The guy she likes so much
She smiled even more broadly and started walking to his direction.
Ryan scoff when he sighted her.. Violet wasn’t in school yet. Those in clas-slooked at their direction wondering why Mara was smiling so broadly
” Hey ” she sat beside him..
He didn’t say a word as he just stared at her, trying to suppress the urge of strangling her right there!
” Did your..
” Dad ask you to accept the engagement?” Ryan completed her statement for her
” Your dad really told you as promised?” She asked with a smile
He suddenly pulled her closer to himself and the clas-sgasped. His grip on her arm was so tight that she had to wince silently
” You’re hurting me ” she said, staring at the students who were now looking at them
” Tell that useless father of yours to call off the stupid engagement he’s planning with his fellow senseless man else they’ll die of poison on the day of the engagement..” he whispered and pushed her away from himself rou-ghly
? What’s happening?

Mara eyes wide-ned at his words. He glared at her one more time before taking his things and walking out of the cla-ss.
