My days at crown school episode 7

My
Days
At Crown school✔✔

#EPISODE_7✔

After that night, Victor and I bec@m£ more closer. Always disturbing me with his text. Well, I kind of enjoyed it too. Always checking my phone for a new message, and my school locker for his letters. To say the truth, I look forward to receive more letters, and texts from him everyday.

It was a week to our exams, Kunmi and I walked straight to the clas-s for revision. She was sitting beside me, since my slee-ping p@rtner, Rose Johnson, who had been showing exam fever was told to stay in the hostel and rest. I’ve never seen someone as lazy as that girl. Even Benedicta was not as bad as her. She never writes note, always deceiving herself that she prefers to jot. And the jotting won’t cover half of what was done in clas-s.
The first lecture remain thirty minutes to start. Since it was revision, people were busy with some other things. I trust my clas-s mates, if it wasn’t for revision, they should be revising what the teacher has taught them because they knew the teacher could call on anyone to answer the question.
I decided to ask if Kunmi knew about Betty. Though, I didn’t tell her what the girl did to me.

“Kunmi.” I called, turning to her.

“Do you know a light, slim girl name Betty?”

“Betty…” She was trying to think.

“Are you talking about Betty Benson? The one we call BB?”

“Well, I really do not know, but everything about her is so small, and she’s kinda pretty, tall, and has this side dimple.”

“It’s her! She’s in ss3. Why are you asking about her anyways?” She st©pped talking, waiting for my reply.

“Well, the last time I told you I hit my head on something, that something was intentionally done by someone who hate me. And that person is Betty. I guess I was closer to someone she likes.”
Kunmi covered her mouth with her two hands. “How could she do something like that! I think it’s because Victor now likes you. You know, you guys are now close. And-”

“Wait!” I st©pped her. “Victor?” I asked. “What has victor got to do with this?”

“Well, both are very close then. I really do not know what went wrong, but all of a sudden, they were not like close as before.”

“You mean she’s his ex?” I was curious to know.
“No,” Kunmi said. “The two were just friends, but I do not know if there was actually something more to it.

“Okay, I see. Thanks.” I decided to close the conversation about Betty. Now, I know she acted out of jealousy.

After some minutes, I opened my locker, and a new letter perfectly written with the best handwriting I’ve never seen, was placed on my note I left in there.
Lol.. Suzy you’re exaggeratin g
But he has a nice handwriting.
You mean his handwriting is as good as he is?
I laughed at my silly self before I realized Kunmi was alre-ady re-ading the paper. Anxious to know what it was, I collected it.
“Come for your lucky pen. I want you to pas-s babe.
And guess what? ‘Tangled’ is right here at the book
sto-re. Got it for you alre-ady.”

I jumped up just as I saw ‘Tangled’. I love that book like crazy. Was a book written by Ose Daniels which I was very lucky to re-ad,

I heard Kunmi muttered “hmm.” And later talked.
“Suzy, you guys are getting more closer each day. Just be careful,” she warned me, while I smiled in return. I carried my bag heading straight to the book sto-re for my favourite book.
On my way, guess who I saw?

The beautiful BB

Time for her to reap what she sow.

I hid at a corner. Thank God I was with my bag. I brou-ght out my jotter where I put all the letters Victor s£nt me. Walking slowly on the corridor to the sto-re, I intentionally bu-mped into her, ma-king the letters to fall. Of course, I didn’t look back, as I found a place to hide. As I peeped to watch, I saw her alre-ady fuming.
Yes!! I smiled at myself. All of a sudden, she to-re away the first paper. Took another one, and was almost crying.

Hahaha.. Odun, ofe ke. (It pained her, that she
almost cry)

She to-re the second one, and picked another one, in haste, angry at what she saw in the letter. I quic-kly walked to her before she foolishly tear them all away. I still laugh whenever I re-ad those letters.
“Sorry, they are mine.” I picked them up, and gave her a smile. “Thanks.” I intentionally said that to make her more angrier. And I’m sure she felt like sl@pping me. But before she even raised her hand, I moved away, and turned back again, and immediately our eyes locked.

“Don’t think too much about it. We’re just friends. If you would like to confirm, I still have more.”

She stood there dumbfounded. If looks could kill, I should have been dead. She walked away in anger and I finally allowed myself to laugh, grinning like a baby.
She does not know anything.
That’s just her starting point.
That serves her right!

She would have to learn to respect me. I’m not some dumb girl she can treat ill of.
••••

I got up and submitted my last paper. The physics was h0t that I could not rush all the questions together. Thank God Kunmi and I had work some calculations together.
“How was it?” Kunmi who had finished before me asked, and I nodded.
“Just fine, I can’t deceive you.”
“Hmm.. I know you Suzy. That was what you said during the text, but you ended up getting all his marks.”
I smiled lightly. “It’s God Kunmi. I only did my best.”
I saw cars entering inside the school compound, while some students ran over, packing their things inside the cars packed out there.
“Why are so many cars here?” I knew Kunmi was the only one I could ask.

“Alre-ady going home,” she replied.

“Going home? I thought everyone was leaving on Friday with their report card. (A small book, used to record students’ scores to know how well they’ve performed).”

“Yes,” she nodded. “If you want to, you can. Friday is the last day for you to go home. And about your result, it can be s£nd directly to you on phone. So you’re not to worry.”

I felt at ease hearing that, because would like to be the first person seeing my result. In case I failed any subject, would know how to cook up something for Dad (come up with a lie) .
On our way back to the hostel, my phone rang. Checking who my caller was, it was Dad.

“Hello Da-”

“Alre-ady on our way to pick you, get your things re-ady.”

“What! But Dad you said Friday. And you should have called me earlier.”

“No reason to. Go in there and get your things re-ady. Are we clear?” He hung up even before I could say, ‘yes sir’.
Dad just ruined all my plans. I was planning on enjoying that remaining three days to the fullest. I turned to Kunmi.
“Dad said I’m leaving today, and I have to go pack my things.” I explained as I hurriedly walked to the hostel, ma-king Kunmi did too.
Have packed few of my things, most especially my books. I wouldn’t dare go home without my textbooks, or note books. The day my sister c@m£ to pick me during my Jss1 (first junior clas-s)
which I believed I was free and I have all the holidays to myself. But when Dad realized I c@m£ home without my books, he was furious at my sister.
If not because of Mom who was good at calming him down, only God knows what would have happened that day. May be Dad would have beaten me mercilessly.
But still, Dad went and bought me some textbooks. And throu-gh out the holidays, I ended up re-ading. No matter how eccentric my Dad is, he would forever remain my father, because he gave me life, and I was hundred percent sure he loves me.

“You’re leaving alre-ady?” Victoria asked, walking in with Temi.
“Thought you gonna stay till Friday Suzy?” Temi also asked.
They really do not know how happy I would be if Dad just call me and say, ‘we won’t be able to make it until Friday’.
I knew that would be next term, cause Dad was alre-ady on his way.
“Suzy your phone,” Kunmi tapped me, handling over my phone to me. Was lost in thoughts that I didn’t know my phone was ringing. It was Dad calling again. I hurriedly hung my school bag asking Kunmi for help with my small travelling bag. I guess he was around alre-ady. The call said it all.

“Don’t go Suzy.” Victoria was hvgging me. “Just call your Dad to come pick you on Friday.”

Hehehe.. I just smiled

Not my father.

Not Suzy’s father o

And definitely not Mr. James.

“Call him na.” Victoria repeated again as if I didn’t hear her the first time.
I just smiled at her before finally talking. “I wish Dad would just call and tell me I will be leaving on Friday.”
We walked throu-gh the corridor, almost getting to the gate that led to our dinning, when my phone rang again. I immediately picked it seeing Dad’s number flashed on my screen.
“Dad, I’m almost there.” I quic-kly told him.
“Suzy something c@m£ up,” he started, and I couldn’t wait for him to finish.
“You mean you’re no longer coming today Dad?” I asked in excitement to be very sure I heard him correctly.
“Yes,” he said. I didn’t know when I hvgged Kunmi, and mouthed, ‘I’m no longer going today’. Grinning at me, they jumped up, very excited about the news. I heard Dad’s voice again and quic-kly placed my index f!nger on myl-ips. “Shhhh…” And they immediately kept quiet.
“Yes,” he started again. “Make sure your things are re-ady, cause I wouldn’t wait for you to start packing them tomorrow.”
“Dad,” I called as if I didn’t hear the p@rt ‘tomorrow’ clearly, as he continued.

“Keep all the things you packed at one corner till tomorrow.”

“So Daddy, I won’t collect my report card?” I used that as an excuse may be he would change his mind again, but the reply Dad gave me made me just kept quiet.

“Can’t wait till Friday, cause I have a meeting to attend that Friday afternoon.”

I just nodded. He and his every day meeting. If not Abuja, it will be Port hacourt or Lagos here.
“Okay bye,” I heard his voice again. “Take good care of yourself my girl. Daddy loves you, and your Mom s£nt his greetings.”
“Love you too Dad. And tell Mom I’ve missed her so much. Bye.” The call was ended.
“What did he say?” It was Kunmi who first asked.
“I’m leaving tomorrow and not Friday,” I told them.
“Huhhh…..” They dragged the word, disappointed, as we turned with my things back to the room.
“So you guys are here,” Debbie said, walking into the room, straight to my corner.
“Have been looking everywhere for you guys.” She sat with us, turning to me. Very sure it was because of my things she saw laying there on the floor.
“Suzy are you leaving?”
“No, but leaving tomorrow.”
I packed my things at one corner as instructed by Dad.
“Have you told her alre-ady?” Debbie asked Temi something I was unaware of.”
“Not yet, but I will,” Temi gave her a reply. “She was in a hurry to leave today, but it was postponed. I think the procrastination is good this time.” She said always looking confident when speaking. I admire her for that.
“Okay,” Victoria got up, followed by Debbie. “See you in the evening,” she said leaving with Debbie.
As usual, “Victoria, Victoria!” The wanna be friends greeted as she walked out.

We had our lunch late around four in the afternoon, because of the students who were leaving. On our way back to the room, I felt my phone vibr@ted in my school pocket. Yes, some of us haven’t re-moved our uniforms yet. But many, are those who are still expecting their parents for the day. I opened the message, and I was alre-ady grinning. If Kunmi was beside me, she alre-ady knows the only person who can make me smile without me hearing jokes, or watching Bovi comedy skits.

“I heard you’re leaving today. Missing you alre-ady.”
With my teeth wi-de open, I replied his message.✔✔

“Awww….Don’t miss me yet, cause the beauty is
around somewhere in the girls hostel.”✅✅

One time, his message c@m£ in,
“Really! How come I didn’t know my Angel is closed
by.”✅✅

I laughed, and found myself a place on the corridor. No longer going into the room, as I comfortably rested on one of the poles on the corridor. I didn’t waste time replying his message too

“Now that the angel is around, what is your plan for
today before she’s finally gone tomorrow.”
Immediately, his message c@m£ in, and I wish I had that kind of magic hands that type really fast.

“Come to the back of the hall. Waiting there. Save
me from missing you too much. The boy is dieing to
see you.”✔✔

A small smile was on myl-ips, with my legs running very fast to the school hall. I guess I was dieing to see him too. As I got there, I saw him standing with his back at me. He was resting his hands on t©p of the rail, and quietly, I used the opportunity to ti-ptoe slowly to his side.

“Hello, handsome.” I whispered to him.
He smiled, not turning to me.
“The girl has finally accept the fact that the guy is the most handsome.”
He always know how to put words in your mouth.
“Handsome and not most handsome,” I repeated. “Hope you got that?”
He just laughed. He finally turned to me. Standing straight with his two hands in his pockets. We were both in school uniform, staring at each other. Did I ever mention he has a side dimple!
It looks perfect on him. Whenever he smiles, it pops out and I found myself drooling. May be if he was not that handsome, I wouldn’t have liked him.

I knew that was a total big lie.

Because I was totally into this guy. His sweet words melt my heart. I like that n@ûghty p@rt of him and I realized his look has nothing to do with it. I could see he looked clean. I guess for his girlfriends, knowing he was going back home, he shaped his teddy down to his Chin. Though hisl-ips isn’t as pink as Yomi’s, but it was okay on its own.

“Hmm..” I cleared my throat. “You’re staring.”
He just smiled again, resting his legs on the rail.
I was starting to think there was something wrong
with the boy smiling, and smiling this time around.
He finally talked. “Was waiting for you to st©p drooling so I can talk.”
“Me, drooling?” I laughed, and hissed. “plea-se don’t start drumming around in excitement. I was just staring at the fly close to your teddy. Just I was about to tell you it has landed on yourl-ips, you talked.”
He was laughing so ha-rd , and I just kept my smile little.
I’m too good when it comes to lie

“Su..zy..” He was still laughing. “Which world are you from?”

“See, you’re the one drooling.” I pointed at him.

“Drooling, or almost dieing. Chai! Suzy you can lie. t©uçh yourl-ips.” He said, sounding very serious and I did.
“You just wiped away all your lies.” He said, and immediately I threw one b!ow on his stomach.
“Aww,” he gr@bb£d my hand. “You should have told me you like my teddy and I would have shaped it since.”

“Rat!!!!!” I shouted, and he jumped on his feet running, while I just laughed. Wondering how I could save myself and I just did.
Boy, you’re in trouble.
Starting from today, we have to keep seeing
unmoving rat.

“Victor st©p!” I shouted, and followed him, almost away from the hall before he st©pped.

“My God, Suzy, don’t joke with that again.” He was breathing heavily. “I hate those creatures like mad”
Hahaha… You’re in trouble boy.
“I know those things are not around here. Was wondering where you could have seen them.”
“I don’t think you have them in your house?” I know they wouldn’t, because I was sure there were maids going in and out, cleaning, arranging, and to make sure everywhere was neat, and tidy up.
“For where? I only see them when we go to Mom family’s house. And I wouldn’t dare sleep at such place.”

Hmmm… The Rich boy!

I realized something fell from his trou-ser pocket. I went on my kneels and picked it, and I was surprised by what I saw.
“Why are you having this with you?” I asked, showing him my pas-sport. It was one of the pas-sports we submitted for my registration to the school.
He collected it immediately. “It’s mine!” He just said.
I laughed at how he claimed the picture that belongs to me.
“Victor, that’s mine. I’m sure you see that’s my face and not yours”
Wait…
“I can’t forget your face, when he won’t st©p talking
about you.”
“He?” The he she later lied was the Principal. But here is her brother with my picture. I was sure he took it from his Dad or the principal. Haven’t met with his Dad though.
I wasn’t re-ady to ask him any question. Though I wanted to, but it was obvious he likes me. I do not want to make it ha-rder on him, because he was feeling shy and I could see it. His phone rang and he excused himself.

Once he was done, he turned to me. “Victoria just called. She told me she has been trying your number since. Are you not with your phone?”

“Oh!” I brou-ght it out, and saw five missed calls from Victoria. Four from Kunmi, and three from Temi. I intentionally put it in silent so I could have my time with Victor.

“What did she say?” I asked him.

“They’ve been looking everywhere for you. You’re asked to join them at the game clas-s.”

I think they were about to start what Temi told me. “I should go now.”
His phone rang again, and he gave it to me. It was Victoria calling back.

“Hello-”

“You, well done o!” She fired, not allowing me. “You just disappeared without telling anyone. Not bothered for your supper too. Or didn’t you see it’s alre-ady past seven. Wait.. Where did you put your phone?”
I could not hold my laughter. “Where do I start now. Victoria I’m sorry.” Was all I could say.

“Hmm.. We un-derstand. But next time, remember it is chicks before d!¢k!”

I just laughed. “Victoria your brother doesn’t have that.”
I could hear her laughter too. “Suzy, you’re crazy. My brother is human being na. Just continue deceiving yourself.”
Hahaha..
I could see Victor watching me at one corner of his eyes.
Not mad s£nior. Just having fun with your sis

“We are about to start. Meet us at the game clas-s.” Victoria said

“Alre-ady on my way.” I told her before she hung up. When the call dropped, I saw my face displa-ying on his wall paper, and decided to tease him a bit.

“Wow!” I smiled at him. “Is this your angel?” I tea-sed.

“God!”he mumbled. “I don’t know what I will do with you this girl.” He blu-shed and I laughed at him.

“Just break the screen, and I’m gone.”
He was very fast, collecting his iPhone from me. “Are you crazy? You want me to break the screen.”

I couldn’t contain my laughter. I knew iPhone is one of the expensive phones people are using now. If not the most expensive. He held onto his iPhone7 as I pleadingly collect it from him.

“Easy, just let me check your pictures.”

I wish to know what was going on in his mind, cause I caught him, not once checking me out. As I saw the pictures we took together, I blu-shed and smiled. I realized I was free whenever I’m with him. Was never like this with any guy, but when it comes to Victor, I lost my guard saying anything and very comfortable with him.

As we were both walking to the game clas-s, guess who I saw?
The beautiful BB

I guess he has not seen her, because he was still smiling at what we were both looking at on his phone.
What do I do now?

Should I make her jealous??
