MOTHER WHY
EPISODE 59
Rosemary made breakfast and went upstairs to call her boss to come and eat, she got to his door and knocked but Michael didn’t answer, she knocked again and again then he answered faintly.
MICHAEL
I said you should come inside rose
Rose opened the door and came in, she locked the door behind her…. she rushed to the bed when she noticed Michael shivering.
ROSEMARY
are you alright sir? you look pale, do you nee-d to see a doctor?
(she asked all at once)
MICHAEL
no rose I don’t nee-d to see a doctor and I’m fine.
ROSEMARY
I don’t believe you sir, if you are fine then why do you look so pale and sick? beside you are shivering.
MICHAEL
okay fine, I think I coming up with fever but I don’t want to go to the hospital.
ROSEMARY
No, no, no you can’t say that, if you don’t go to the hospital how will you get better? beside I’m just a cook not a doctor I wouldn’t know what to do if it gets serious.
MICHAEL
just get me some drugs okay, I will be alright.
ROSEMARY
drugs? okay erh I don’t know…. okay what kind of drugs? no no I know I will be right back.
before michael could say jack she already out of his room, she ran to her room and carried the drugs she bought when she was having malaria fever, she ran upstairs to Michael’s room.
ROSEMARY
here, take this it will help you feel better.
she remembered she didn’t bring any water for him to use in taking the drugs so she ran back downstairs to get water for him.
Like flash she came back with the water and helped him to seat up, she opened the drugs and pour them in his hand…. Michael didn’t ask her what drugs she gave him or where she got them from, he just trusted her and took them.
She helped him to lie back on the bed before she went downstairs to bring his breakfast….. immediately she opened the food Michael felt like vomiting so she covered it back quickly.
ROSEMARY
you have been having this symptoms for a while sir, why didn’t you address it? you let it get worse.
MICHAEL
I have been busy
ROSEMARY
Busy drinking your life away because you hate yourself for all that has happened…. I trust you and I give that much of a credit so why can’t you cut yourself some slack?
MICHAEL
I feel so horrible Rose, I feel like the…..
ROSEMARY
And I said it’s not your fault, I’m sure you wouldn’t have slept with mother and daughter if you were in your right senses… they are to be blamed not you.
MICHAEL
but you warned me, I should have listened to you but I allow love to blind me…. if I had listen to you when you told me that I shouldn’t continue my relationship with Amelia because it wasn’t the will of God for us, but I was so stubborn and now see where that brou-ght us.
ROSEMARY
Talking about the past won’t solve anything sir…. you know what? just try and get some sleep while I cook you something else.
MICHAEL
just stay with me please.
ROSEMARY
but you nee-d to eat something.
MICHAEL
I want to sleep but I can’t…. please can you sing me a song?
Rosemary was shocked, how does he know that she sings?
ROSEMARY
sir?
MICHAEL
I always hear you sing especially when you are working and I like it…. you have a lovely voice.
ROSEMARY
Since when did you notice?
MICHAEL
Right from the very day Mrs Anita brou-ght you here to work.
Rosemary nodded her head and sat on the small chair in his room and cleared her throat, she started to sing for him and before she knew it he fell asleep.
She covered him with a duvet and left his room.
Mrs chioma called Andrew and asked that they meet, Andrew informed his dad that the deal was about to go down so he should get ready.
Immediately his father got ready and they went to the place he rented a car to make it convincing that he is a big man.
Mrs chioma believed everything Andrew’s father told her, they even drove to the landed property that she is supposed to pay for…. he showed her some lands and the docu-ment, and some already built houses…… they negotiated and after so much persuasion Andrew father accepted the 80 million she was offering….. she signed fake docu-ments and transfered the money into his account.
Andrew stayed back so they could go back to their regular hotel to celebr@te the signed deal.
Victor was going out of his mind not been able to talk to amelia, hold her, ki-ss her, he felt like a part of him was missing.
He took his phone and called her but amelia didn’t answer the call, so he waited for a while and the next thing he got was a message from her.
“babe my stomach hurt so much, I’m in serious pain”
immediately Victor panicked and ran out of the house, he doesn’t care if their cover is blown or they know that they didn’t break up…. all he cares about was for his woman and baby to be save.
immediately Victor got to the door and was about to knock he received another text from amelia that says
“please don’t come yet, because I know you would…. I don’t want us to blown out cover please babe…. I will call you when I want you to come”
Victor felt frustrated that he almost screamed out his pain, he turn his back and left… he text her back.
“babe how are you feeling now? I’m so worried about you ” you nee-d to go to the hospital babe… please allow me to come get you”
Amelia didn’t reply his message again, she was indeed in pain….she screamed Amara’s name and she ran inside.
AMARA
why are you screaming my name like that?
AMELIA
I’m not feeling too well, please go get me drugs.
AMARA
please call iburo and send him, I’m not in the mood to go out.
AMELIA
please…. I’m dying ooh.
“do I look like I care? if you wanna die just go ahead and die and save me the trouble of killing you myself”
she said inwardly before she collected money from her sister and went out to get the drugs..
immediately amelia heard the gate opened and closed she called Victor to come over and he ran there like a mad man.
AMELIA
(crying)
baby I’m so sick….my stomach hurts.
VICTOR
let’s go to the hospital…
He carried her from the ground and put took her to his car, he remembered he didn’t carry his keys with him so he dropped her slowly on the ground and ran to his apartment to carry his keys.
Before Amara could come back Victor had already taken amelia to the hospital.
after all the test they found out amelia was posion but who posioned her ? they weren’t sure.

EPISODE 60
Victor was very lucky to have brou-ght amelia to the hospital quickly, the posion that she was fed wasn’t supposed to kill her immediately but slowly, the one reason why the poison reacted quickly in her system was because she’s pregnant and God was still on her side.
VICTOR
I don’t care anymore baby, I’m taking you out of that house…. isn’t it obvious your family wants you dead?
AMELIA
but the evidence….
VICTOR
if you want to lock them up we have more than enough evidence, I won’t take any more chances with you and my baby…. what would have happened if I didn’t come fast? or brou-ght you to the hospital?
AMELIA
I still don’t un-derstand how the posion got into my food, I made the noodles myself…. oh yeah I remember now
VICTOR
what do you remember
AMELIA
it’s Amara, she’s the one that poisoned my food…. mum left home since morning and didn’t come back till I started having this pains….I’m very positive Amara poisoned my food.
VICTOR
don’t you think we nee-d to report this to the police?
AMELIA
no, no I don’t want to involve the police, let me handle it my own way.
VICTOR
and what way is that?
AMELIA
tomorrow is my mum’s birthday I will like to celebr@te it for her…. can you make it happen?
VICTOR
(became confused)
I don’t un-derstand you babe, you want to celebr@te your mother’s birthday when we should be thinking of how you will leave this house.
AMELIA
if you love me you will do this for me.
Victor was frustrated but what can he do when she has blackmailed him with love, he accepted to do her wish.
Immediately he left the hospital and carried out all of amelia’s instructions, even paid for cakes and food that will be served the next day…. he return back to the hospital afterwards.
Mrs chioma asked of amelia when she got home from where she went to sign her deal with Andrew’s friend’s dad but Amara told her she didn’t know where she went to.
MRS CHIOMA
I’m so happy we finally sign the deal
AMARA
really? so does that makes us a legit house owners?
MRS CHIOMA
of course my darling, we are officially house owners.
AMARA
wow, I’m very excited mum, you got everything you have ever wanted.
MRS CHIOMA
yes I did and talking about getting everything I ever wanted tomorrow is my birthday, I want us to celebr@te it.
AMARA
really mum? but you know our house is not big
MRS CHIOMA
I know but we will have to manage it, I mean it will be the last celebr@tion we have before moving into our new house.
AMARA
that’s okay, so what’s your plan now because it’s almost nightfall.
MRS CHIOMA
with money we can do anything, all we nee-d is to put calls throu-ghand everything you want will be set.
AMARA
that’s good but how much do you have in your account mum? because me I’m broke ooh.
MRS CHIOMA
I still have up to five hundred thousand in my account
AMARA
and you want to use it to celebr@te birthday? mum I will advice you save that money for when we nee-d it.
MRS CHIOMA
it’s my 50st birthday we are talking about, stuffs like that isn’t easy to come by…. I’m celebr@ting or have you forgotten who ttenyour money is?
Amara knew that there was nothing she said that would change her mother’s mind so she agreed to support her.
Michael woke up feeling very better and hungry, he was about coming down from his bed when the door cracked opened and rosemary walked in with a tray of food in her hand so he relaxed back in bed.
ROSEMARY
I knew it, I just had this strong feeling you are awake.
MICHAEL
I was just about coming out when you showed up too.
ROSEMARY
(She dropped the tray of food)
how are you feeling now sir?
MICHAEL
I feel better, thanks for the drugs and the song.
ROSEMARY
(she smiled shyly)
I should be the one thanking you for trusting me with your life…. I mean with all your exposure you still allow one village girl feed you with drugs that you didn’t know anything about.
MICHAEL
how old are you now rosemary?
ROSEMARY
(Shocked)
I’m 23 years old now sir.
MICHAEL
Which means you have been working with me since you were 18 years…. tell me why I shouldn’t trust you? you have lived her long enough and have become a part of this household so I trust you.
Those words made rosemary emotional, she didn’t even know when tear dropped down her cheeks, she quickly wiped it up so michael wouldn’t see if but it was too late because he saw it.
ROSEMARY
I made you jellof rice and chicken sir, a little spicy though.
MICHAEL
(He chuckled)
has there ever been a time your food isn’t spicy? sometimes I wonder if you are a Yoru-ba person.
ROSEMARY
(She chuckled)
I’m sorry about that, but today I intentionally made it spicy so it can heat you up and heal you quickly.
MICHAEL
thanks rosemary, can I eat now? I’m hungry?
She carried the food and kept on the bed for him to eat, she turn to leave but michai grabbed her hand.
MICHAEL
please stay with me
ROSEMARY
but I want to go tidy the kitchen before bed time.
MICHAEL
You can do it later, please
ROSEMARY
(She slowly sat down beside him)
O-kay sir
Michael handed her his spoon, she wondered why but she collected it anyways.
ROSEMARY
what I’m I to do with this sir?
MICHAEL
eat with me, I will use the fork
ROSEMARY
sir?..
MICHAEL
common just do it please.
rosemary nodded her head and started to eat with him, as they ate they talked aND laughed….. Michael didn’t want to believe it but it was true, his feelings for rosemary was changing, he was beginning to like her after spending a whole day with her, but how would rose see him? she might think his an opportunistic who wants to take advantage of her.
After they finished eating rosemary cleared the plates and went to tidy up her kitchen…. while michael led on his bed thinking if what his feeling for the girl is indeed true.
Rosemary had always liked Michael right from the start but she dare not dream for something big between them, she knew she wasn’t in his clas-s and he wouldn’t even see her as a woman so she never prayed for anything to happen between then… seeing Michael show her care made it unease for her because she might just be tempted to wish for more which might only happen in her dreams.
Victor stopped at a restaurant and got his woman something to eat.
AMELIA
is everything in place baby?
VICTOR
even though I don’t un-derstand what you are trying to do…. I just want you to know I love you and would support whatever you want…. so yeah everything is in place.
AMELIA
thanks babe, and I’m very happy we didn’t lose this baby
VICTOR
I’m more thank grateful to God, you have really suffered in the hands of people who are supposed to protect you from the world…. and I promise to make that pain go away.
Amelia smiled and ki-ssed his hand, he smiled back at her.
