EPISODE 57
Victor just felt Peter was wasting time by talking casually to Jordan so out of the blues he just said.
VICTOR
and I heard you have been sleeping with my wife.
Jordan was shocked to the bone, he has slept with three different women before, so which of them have this man as their husband?
JORDAN
excuse me?
(he finally voiced out)
Victor already saw his body language immediately he threw that question at him, he might not be the guy they are looking for but his not innocent of the crime his being accused either.
VICTOR
I didn’t come here to create a scene but If you want us to get dirty then I’m all ready.
JORDAN
I don’t know what you are talking about sir .
(his voice shaking)
Victor brou-ght out the second video that Amara sent to him and showed it to Jordan…. immediately Jordan saw amelia’s face he recognized her.
JORDAN
I swear that’s not me.
PETER
I like you bro and I wouldn’t want you to go jail for druging someone.
JORDAN
drug? I didn’t drug anyone bro…. you have gat to believe me.
VICTOR
someone sent this video to me and other ones…. when I confronted my wife about it she said she couldn’t remember anything… the only thing she remembered was you serving her a drink.
Jordan saw that Victor and Peter meant business and it would be for his good if he start telling them the truth… his younger sister is still lying in the hospital there without treatment because he hasn’t been able to balance up…. what would be her faith if they were to arrest him?
JORDAN
like I said I’m not the one in that video…. but I can tell you the person she came with.
VICTOR
what are you saying? she told me she came here alone
JORDAN
that’s a big lie, she came here with a girl named Amara…. I think I have one of her photos on my phone.
He took his phone quickly and searched for Amara’s picture and showed it to them.
VICTOR
so you mean we are blind? and don’t un-derstand the content of this video? this is my wife hu-gging a man and you dare show me a picture of a woman? are you suggesting my wife is also a lesbian?
JORDAN

I’m not saying your wife is a les-biansir…. okay some time ago Amara and your wife came here, Amara I have seen before but never spoken to except greeting. But your wife I have never seen her face before, Amara came to buy drinks and I saw her putting something in it…. I would recognize it anywhere, she was trying to knock the lady out completely so when she wakes up the next day she would only remember headache and nothing else.
VICTOR
so what you are telling me is the same lady my wife came here with drugged her?
JORDAN
believe it or not that’s the truth……..
PETER
more reason why you should he arrested, you played a rule in all of this.
Peter was thinking something else when he said that but Jordan misquoted him and thought they already knew he had something to do with the girl so he started to confess.
JORDAN
she made me do it okay….. I didn’t want to do it but I was in a place in my life then that drugs was the only thing that was keeping it cool for me.
VICTOR

I swear I didn’t sleep with that lady, Amara made me s**ked her and do all crazy stuff with her so she could record it but she didn’t let me sleep with her.

how much did she pay you to do this to your fellow human? I mean how do you sleep at night knowing you too advantage of a broken girl ?

my conscience already did the flogging sir, for days I couldn’t eat nor sleep, I had to go to church for confession before I had my peace.

easy for you to go to church and go confessing to one father who isn’t the one you offended and sinned against..

He said to Peter and paid for all their drinks, as they got to their car Jordan ran to meet up with them.
VICTOR
what do you want?
JORDAN

PETER
Spill then, we don’t have all night.
JORDAN
Few weeks ago she came here with your wife again, she was offering me six million naira to do something for her… she didn’t tell me what I was going to do, I guess your lady became smarter she refuse taking anything alcoholic but she kept insisting so she finally agreed to do soft drinks.
VICTOR
she was offering you six million what?
(shock written all over his face)

so that girl has such amount of money in her account? So did she later pay you the money?
JORDAN
no she didn’t, we went to the toilet to discuss how we were gonna put some drugs in her drink so she could sleep but before we came back she was already gone….
That was when Amelia’s story started to make sense, he remembered Amelia telling him about what happened that nighthe after showing her the second vidoe… but he couldn’t round his head around the thought that Amara would be the one behind such act
VICTOR
it all make sense now….. You know Amelia told me she was outside because she felt scared and lonely inside so she called me to tell me she’s at the club with her sister trying to see if they could get any evidence but unfortunately I didn’t pick the phone… she said a man came to meet her, the next thing he was trying to ki-ss her her, she she slapped him to stop he got violent and hit her back and pointed a gun at her… that was why she couldn’t push him away.
PETER
since Amara didn’t Jordan back to this guy for help, it means only one thing….. she saw her sister being mo-lest ed by a stranger and she let it happen so she could satisfy her wicked heart…. what she would have paid six million naira for was been display freely before her very eyes.
JORDAN
(Shock to her Amara and Amelia are siblings)
you mean they are sisters? Jesus Christ….. how can one do this to their own blood?

that girl’s heart is as wicked as that of a Lucifer…. let’s leave this place bro.

He said and started to go back, Victor felt this de-ep urge to ask him why a young guy like him would he frustrated and he on drugs

Victor told Peter to calm down, he moved closer to Jordan and he explained everything to them….. he even showed Victor his younger sister’s picture….. he felt compas-sion for the little girl.
VICTOR
I’m not doing this for you okay, I’m doing this because that’s what my heart says I should do…. to save this innocent girl’s life.
He went to his car and brou-ght out his cheque book, he wrote him the cheque of ten million naira and handed it over to Jordan….. immediately Jordan saw the cheque he fainted from shock and over excitement.

Victor made sure Jordan was okay before he drove back home with peter.
As he parked in the garage Peter decided to use the opportunity to talk to him.
PETER
I should have said something on our way back but I was still recovering from the shock myself.
VICTOR
and what is shocking you?
PETER
everything bro and to think you gave that guy the sum of ten million naira is still something I don’t think I can recover from.
VICTOR
He nee-ded the money so I helped him.
PETER
after everything his done?
VICTOR
(He smiled)
a man loyal can only be tested when his either rich or broke…. he did all that stuff because he nee-ded the money for his sister’s operation.
PETER
I swear you ain’t from this planet….. I won’t give him a dim if it was to be me.
VICTOR
whoever you can rander an as-sistant to that is your brother and sister…. no matter what they have done you still help them.
PETER
I have heard you pastor Vic… what with this evidence with you what are you going to do now bro?
VICTOR
honestly I don’t know…. maybe Amelia would decide that on her own
PETER
“amelia”? so should I take it that you are going back to her?

I think I would because after listening to what that guy had to say I discovered I have really judged her wrongly.

good and as for Amara I advice you to be careful….. she might plan something very dangerous you never can tell.
VICTOR

He said and came down from Victor’s car…. Victor couldn’t bear it anymore so he took his phone and called Amelia.
VICTOR
hello babe…. I’m so sorry I yelled at you earlier, how are you and the baby?
AMELIA
(Talking faintly in the bathroom)

Amelia heard the door cracked and she quickly ended the call thinking the person was coming to her room, it was Amara that was going out, she saw when Victor drove in and waited for Peter to leave so she can go and meet him…. after all his the reason why she’s still awake.
Victor was about calling amelia back when he saw a shadow standing beside his car, he dropped his phone and wind down his car.

Amara you scared me…. what are you still doing outside by this time of the night?
AMARA

VICTOR

Victor came out of the car and started to go to his apartment, Amara followed him from behind…. she was looking around to make sure no one saw her.
Victor opened his door and let her inside, he closed it after her and went to seat on the couch.

Victor took out his phone from his pocket and excused himself he put the phone on record and came back with two glas-s of juice.
VICTOR

honestly your sister has become someone in my past and I want it to remain like that…. I loved amelia with everything in me but she broke my heart.

(She dropped her glas-s of jui-ce and moved even more closer to Victor, she placed her hand on his arm and smooch it sweetly….. Victor un-derstood what she was trying to do so he moved away slowly.
AMARA
I know how you feel Victor and that’s why I’m here…. my sister doesn’t deserve you, I’m sure you have seen her true color now? to even shock you the more, she told me when your friend ki-ssed her she didn’t push him away not because he for-ced the ki-ss on her but because she liked the way he ki-ssed her….. it was something you ain’t good at.
Victor was shocked to the bone, he wondered how one person would be filled with so much bitterness, jealousy and wickedness…. if he didn’t plan that lie with Amelia he would have believed the lie Amara just told him.
VICTOR
well, it’s good she should go and meet Derrick, I don’t care anymore.
AMARA
I really don’t blame her you know…. I blame you for this, I was the one who saw you first, I was still the one who spoke to you first and even liked you first but the moment you saw my sister everything changed…. you judged her by her appearance not knowing she’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
VICTOR
you are right but like I said non of that matter anymore…. I wish I can just meet with that person that sent me her vidoe… I would apologize for being stupid and not believe him or her….. and if she’s a girl I will replace her for amelia….. I mean which better woman can one ask for if not a woman who hate injustice and lies? she knew amelia was deceiving me so she tried to save me yet I didn’t listen.
Amara was kind of confuse because she was sure when she sent him that video she threatened him saying she would come after him if he doesn’t stay away from Amelia….. could it be that Victor was putting words into her mouth?
She quickly got up and told Victor she nee-ded to go do something at home and ran away…. she wasn’t sure if Victor was trying to make her confess but she nee-ded to be careful.
