MOTHER WHY
EPISODE 43
Amara gave Jordan something to find a way and put it in Amelia’s drink while she look for a way and convince her to take alcohol so that she could put the blame on the alcohol when things turn back.
Amelia on the other hand waited for her sister to come back, but Amara was taking too much time and she wasn’t comfortable seating alone…. so she decided to go outside the club and stay for a while before she comes back inside.
She had this strong urge in talking to Victor so she called his number but Victor was upstairs taking his bath while his phone was in the living room.
Amelia thought Victor was still mad at her, she started to cry outside the club house.
A drunk guy who was feeling pressed came out to ease himself when he saw Amelia crying, he walked up to her and tried to use the opportunity to his advantage.
Amara came back and was shocked not to see her sister, she asked the guy that took over from Jordan and he told her he saw her going outside the club house.
Amara was so mad that her sister will dare leave her and go home, she angrily left the club hall and went outside…. she was shocked to see a man smooching someone that look like her sister… she hid at a coner watching them.
But what was confusing to Amara was why her sister was not pushing the man off her body…. but she didn’t care, rather she was happy that what she was about paying six million naira for is been played for her free of charge.
She quickly brou-ght out her phone from her pocket and and started to record the way the guy was touchingCher sister all over….. immediately she save any record she will send it to Victor.
After she have sent three convincing vidoe to the young man, she kept her phone back in her bag and pretended like she was looking for her sister by, she came to the side Amelia could see her and she made a sign for her not to make any sound, she picked a very big stick from the ground and hit the young man on his head…. which made him to fall and he dropped the gun he was holding.
That was when Amara un-derstood why her sister didn’t push the guy off her body.
Before the man could get himself and pick his guy Amara grabbed her sister’s hands and they ran away stopping the first taxi they saw.
AMARA
What is wrong with you amelia? why didn’t you wait in the club like I told you?
AMELIA
I don’t know okay, I was choking in there so I decided to breath in fresh air…..how was I supposed to know a bad guy would be waiting for me outside.
AMARA
it’s a club house amelia, all kinds of people come to the club…..well, you are lucky I came out to save you…. that dirty guy would have fuc-ked your br@ins out.
AMELIA
you know I thought he was a gentleman, not until he started coming closer for a ki-ss and I pushed him away slightly, he tried again this time pressing ha-rd and I slapped him, he slapped me back and pointed a gun to my rib saying if I scream he would kill me.
AMARA
a gentleman? wait how did you know or even come to that stupid conclusion?
AMELIA
I called Victor but he wasn’t answering my calls, so I was crying I guess he saw me and came to console me.
AMARA
oh my God, you trust people two much and I’m afriad to say that is your weakness.
TAXI MAN
madam una never tell me where una dey go
(he said in pidgin)
AMARA
Just drive till we tell you to stop…. we will pay you.
The taxi man was really excited because the girls didn’t give him a destination, he was glad that he had hit jackpot.
Victor was hungry so he came downstairs to cool himself noodles and egg, he went into the kitchen and prepare it, he brou-ght it to his living room and sat down…. he felt lonely and sad, and he felt bad for yelling at Amelia earlier…. so he thought of calling her.
so he dropped his plate of noodle and went for his phone, he noticed that he had missed calls and a messages, he first of all opened the messages first which were annoying vidoes of Amelia again with an angry caption that says
“amelia is my girlfriend, so stay the fuc-k away from her… else I’m gonna come for you, I know where you live, where you work, when you go out and when you return…. don’t mess with your life Victor”
Victor’s hands were trembling as he watched the video, but to give Amelia another benefits of the doubt he ran to amelia apartment without wearing shirt to confirm if she’s at home and show her the videos he just got.
He knocked at the door and Mrs chioma came to open up….. she was surprised to see Victor at her apartment without shirt.
VICTOR
good evening ma, please is Amelia at home? I want to see her please.
Mrs chioma didn’t hear what Victor said or she did heard him but was too lost staring at his hu-ge che-st that she couldn’t come up with an answer to give him.
Victor followed Mrs chioma’s eyes down to his own body, that was when he realized he was standing in front of his girlfriend’s mother half nak-ed.
VICTOR
I’m sorry about this ma, I came out in a hurry….please where is Amelia?
MRS CHIOMA
oh it’s fine….I know love can make us sometimes act crazy….. as for Amelia she went to club to cool off, she said you are giving her too much problem…. what’s going on between you two?
Everything now make sense to Victor now, so Amelia even told her mother that his a problem to her, so Amelia never loved him, so she was crying the day they had se-x because she felt like she was cheating on her lover…
VICTOR
Amelia told you I’m giving her problems?
MRS CHIOMA
ah I shouldn’t have told you that but I’m sure you guys can settle whatever difference you have.
VICTOR
thanks ma….. good night ma
He turned and started to go back to his apartment, his legs could no longer carry him because a lot of things were going throu-ghhis mind.
Mrs chioma made sure he was out of sight before she burst into laughter.
“you people will be giving yourself too much problem, I wonder what you see in Amelia that is not in amara my daughter, if you had picked Amara now, you won’t be going throu-ghthis emotional trauma. but not to worry, soon enough we are going to get you”
Victor got home and went straight to bed, another alcohol will he a totally break down for him as his not a fan of excessive drinking….. sleep was far away from him but he rather for-ce himself to sleep then cry over someone who doesn’t love him, someone who went and share his details with her criminal boyfriend”
The pain was too much for him, he got up from his bed and made carried his phone.
Victor booked a flight that is living for Lagos as early as 8am the next day.
After he had finished booking the flight he decided to start packing his things since sleep had become an enemy.

if Victor happened to be my brother and he showed me a video of his girlfriend with another man, well as a woman I will want my guy too to give me a chance to defend myself, to either prove guilty or innocent so yes I will advise my brother to allow her defend her… if something as bad as the first one happened again and not just that, this time coming with a life threatening message I will advise my brother to walk out before it’s too late, it’s obvious someone somewhere doesn’t want the relationship to work”
“To me I don’t feel Amelia is been senseless or foolish, to me I feel she’s someone who value relationship, love and a person who tries to see good in everyone…. beside all her life she had never felt love from either her mother, or sister but they are showing her that love now, I wouldn’t throw that away for anything in the world….. nothing is more pure and greater than love from your own mother…. the love Amelia didn’t get from her mother right from when she was a child is why she’s blind to whatever they are doing to her….. beside non of them have given her reason to believe that they are actually the ones ruining her life.

EPISODE 44
Before 6am the next day Victor was already out of the house, but before he left he went to amelia’s door to knock.
It was Mrs chioma that came out to answer him, she was surprised to him that early.
MRS CHIOMA
Victor???
VICTOR
good morning ma….. sorry for disturbing your sleep but I’m here to see Amelia, it’s very important.
MRS CHIOMA
No, it’s fine….. will you like to come inside? while I go call…..
VICTOR
no ma, I would rather wait here ma.
MRS CHIOMA
alright, excuse me.
She went to her daughters room and woke Amelia up that Victor was outside to see her…. she jumped from the bed immediately with so much joy in her heart
Immediately she saw Victor she ran into his arms but Victor didn’t hu-g her back, he was just standing there like a statue.
Amelia noticed the coldness in the hu-g, so she pulled away to look at him.
AMELIA
I’m sorry for hurting you Victor but I wish I could defend myself, I wish I could tell you exactly what happened that night but I can’t remember it.
VICTOR
I’m leaving Amelia.
(he threw the bomb at her)
AMELIA
(Confused)
leaving to where?
VICTOR
I’m going to Lagos to cool off for some days before I figure out where next to go.
Reality started to Dawn on amelia that Victor was leaving her just like Michael, the only difference is that Victor has the balls to say it to her face but Michael didn’t.
AMELIA
(tears filled her eyes)
you want to leave me too? you want to push me for what I did not do Victor? if you truly love me, couldn’t you have believed my own side of the story?
VICTOR
Would you have believed me if reverse was the case?
AMELIA
yes I will…. I will because I love you and that’s what love is all about.
VICTOR
I love you so much Amelia, in fact I was going to propose to you two nights ago before all this madness started.
AMELIA
(she wiped her tears)
you know what? you are right, I’m not the girl for you, I have never been the person that anybody wants….. if my own family could treat me like shit before I shouldn’t expect anything less from an outside….. goodbye
She said and went back into the house and shut the door, Victor felt bad, he called her name but she refuse to answer.
He went to his car and drove away.
As he got to the airport he felt really guilty, he felt guilty for not believing her, he felt bad for not standing with her to know who was trying to ruin them because it was already obvious someone somewhere is trying to break them apart.
He turn his car over and started to drive back home
“I love her, no I can’t leave her, no I’m going to stand by her no matter what and if I died then that’s how God have destined me to end”
He drove like a mad man back to the house, amelia hasn’t left the sp-ot she sat which is behind the door.
Everything Amara and the mother said to take her from there didn’t work.
Victor packed his car outside the gate and ran into the compound like a crazy man, he went straight to Mrs chioma’s door and was knocking profusely.
Amara begged her sister to leave the door way so she could check who was at the door, but Amelia did not answer, little did they know that amelia was in shock, and she couldn’t hear them or movie her body.
Amara tried to push her out of the way when the knock became louder but Amelia fell on the ground, that was when Mrs chioma and Amara realized that Amelia was seating there since but was unconscious.
Amara started to call amelia’s name repeatedly begging her to wake up, Victor heard it and pushed the door open for-cefully.
AMARA
you came back?
(she asked in shock)
VICTOR
it will take more than just a staged script to make me leave the only reason I smile.
He lifted Amelia up and rushed her to his car outside, Mrs chioma ram after him go ask him where he was taking his daughter to.
MRS CHIOMA
where are you taking my daughter to?
VICTOR
to the hospital, you can come if you want.
she turn to look at Amara who obviously looked hurt from what Victor told her so she declined
MRS CHIOMA
I will join you later, please just call me when you get the hospital….so we can know the hospital you are.
Without any respond Victor put Amelia in his car and drove away.
Mrs chioma went back inside to meet her daughter, she knows exactly what is going throu-ghher mind.
AMARA
why is it that everyone likes Amelia?, why does she always get everything mum? is she beautiful than me? more intelligent than I do? why is she always lucky with men? why?
(she said crying)
MRS CHIOMA
don’t say that my baby, you are everything Amelia will and can never be….and you know come rain, come sun I will always stand by you….. you know I will do anything for you.
AMARA
mum you know I was very happy this morning when Victor left her, maybe I’m crazy but yeah I like to see her in pain, I enjoy it when she suffers….. I felt okay that non of us had him… but he came back for her mum, he came back to defend their love….just like how Michael would have fought for her after I set her up with Peter’s story yet he still wanted to marry her….. we always feel like we are the Queen’s and she’s the pawn when in the real scene Amelia has always been the queen and we the pawn.
(she said and cried more)
MRS CHIOMA
you are angry and I un-derstand that, but I want you to know that guy’s that are more handsome than Victor will still come your way….
AMARA
(She cuts in angrily)
I don’t want guys that look like Victor, i want Victor….. that’s what I want……and you must give me what I want mum else.
Mrs chioma became afriad of her own’s child brutality, she knows she hasn’t lay down any good example for her daughter to copy from, but the way things are going Amara might become a bone in her ne-ck and she has to bend her before it’s too late.
MRS CHIOMA
You nee-d to calm down Amara, what is wrong with you?
(she yelled at her)
AMARA
if not for one thing mum, I wish I could just kill amelia and have my peace….i hate her so much much, why does she always takes everything from me? exactly how she took father’s love from me.
MRS CHIOMA
(she held her daughter trying to calm her)
I know how you feel, but you should know that anger solves nothing…..if you kill Amelia, whoses destiny will you he enjoying? or have you forgotten? that her luck with men is what is helping us to step up our game and still survive.
Amara screamed her pains out, Mrs chioma was scared for a minute, she moved back in fright.
